  4. I've played a few Soul Link's so far and every time I start my play session for the day it's always kind of an annoying process. Loading up 2 separate emulators, 2 roms, having to rekeybind the controllers every time. I was wondering if someone would be able to make a program that could make it easier. If your unfimiliar with a Soul Link Nuzlocke, heres the rules. 1- Any Pokémon that faints is considered "dead," and must be released or stored in a specified PC box for "dead" Pokémon. 2- You can only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. 3- You must also nickname all of your Pokémon, for the sake of forming "stronger emotional bonds." 4- In a new area, the first encounters for both players will be, "linked," together until death. 5- If one Pokémon in a linked pair is placed in the PC, it's Soul Link partner must be placed in the PC as well. 6- If one Pokémon in a linked pair dies, it's Soul Link partner is considered dead as well. 7- If one player fails to capture their first encounter in an area, the second player must forfeit their encounter in their corresponding area. 8- Across both players parties, primary typings may not be repeated. Basically what I'm looking for is a program that emulates 2 roms side by side and be able to control them individually. I've thought of a few features to make it better. Features -Emulators from all consoles built in - Ex. VBA, Desmume, and Citra -Saves both roms under 1 "project" and loads them on the same side every time -Type Chart ready -Online Remote Play - Be able to join your friends session online to see and control one of the games. -Games connected locally so you can trade and battle -Database where you can input your linked pokemon pairs and where you caught them -Built in Pokedex Database (Not necessary but would be helpful) -Program reads both your teams and displays them between the game (I'm aware that's not an easy ask but if it's possible, why not) I feel like except for a couple of them this is a completely possible thing to create. I know it probably wont happen but I just thought I'd get the idea out there. I love doing Soul Links and I'm so happy people found a way to make Pokemon Co-op. Thanks for your time.

  6. Hey all, I created a macro system for event scripting in the DS generation of Pokémon games. It can be found here. Note: this only supports Black 2 and White 2 at the moment, and not all script commands from those games are in. Requirements To set it up, you will need: devkitARM (included with devkitPro). Python 3.4 or greater. Utilizing it: To start, make sure this is included at the top of your file: Once you do that, make a label for the script you are writing: Example: # script goes here Then, add a new label at the top, and add pointers to your script like so: scripts: script <script label> Then, compile it using the Python script: python CheapScript.py <script> <output directory> Once you do all of that, add the script to your game by finding the corresponding script NARC (in B2W2, it is a0/5/6), and replacing the script container that you want to (in SDSME, you can find a list of them, under the “script” section in the Map Headers tab). Profit! An example of a script in action can be seen here. Happy scripting!
  7. Version 0.3.0.RC1

    207 downloads

Utility to read and write save data to and from gba games. Created By pokedoc Changelog - Initial release Version 0.1.1 (12-7-2010) - Fix broken restore sequence (you now need to press (B) on the start screen, instead of (A)) - Fixes and improvements to the restore function (verifies that .sav size >= save chip size, and that a save chip is present at all) Version 0.2 (12-30-2010) - Add an ini file (using libini by Simon White); drop it in the same directory as the homebrew or in the root folder if it does not work - Add Wifi backup/restore mode (using ftplib by Thomas Pfau) - Add File browsing - Add (very experimental) Slot-2 Flash Card detection routine. If this works as expected, I will add a full Slot-2 based backup mechanism later. - (hopefully) fix some issues with the EZFlash 3in1 Version 0.2.1 (1-9-2011) - Definitely fix issues with EZFlash 3in1 mode on the EZFlash Vi (and probably several other cards as well). Version 0.2.2 (2-12-2011) - Fix more glitches with older EZFlash 3in1s. Enable 1-pass restore process. - Add safety mechanism for WiFi restore process; if the file transfer fails, nothing will be deleted. Version 0.2.3 (3-4-2011) - Fix a 3in1 backup bug introduced with 0.2.2, dumping works again. - Improves stability of the WiFi backup/restore processes. The program will no longer freak out if something interferes with the transfer. - Adds partial GBA backup/restore mode (EEPROM is not supported yet). Version 0.2.4 (4-10-2011) - Modify 3in1 backup path so that it supports 3in1 with dead battery. - Make it clearer when FTP mode has hit a small delay and the program is trying to continue. - Program now makes use of lower screen for most messages, which allows longer, more detailled messages. - Adds a Readme file/Manual to the program. Version 0.3.0 RC1 (8-14-2011) This is the first non-beta, feature complete release. It implements everything I know how to do. From now on, progress will be much slower (i.e. only when somebody figures out something new). If you want to start your own fork, this is the perfect time - there will be no more significant updates in the forseeable future (except for bug fixes and new translations). - Adds the ability to translate most parts of the user interface. - Adds Slot 2 backup mode (you will need a Slot 2 flash card; anything that has a DLDI driver should be supported). - Enables FTP restore mode for saves bigger than the memory buffer (usually 2 MB), it now uses multiple passes in this case. - Various stability fixes, especially aimed for R4 clones. - Many behind-the scenes improvements aimed to simplify further hacking. - Instruction file is no longer beta.
  8. I've been looking into writing a script to run on Desmume. I'm thinking of running it on either Platinum or one of the Gen V games. I haven't been able to find any detailed instructions for setting things up, can anyone help me out? It doesn't have to be Lua, really it should be something that "plugs in" to the emulator (fires button inputs straight into the emulator rather than using something like the Robot in Java to send keyboard and mouse events over the desktop). Also, if I wanted to look into reading the memory from the frame, how would I figure out what address and value correspond to what (ie. tiles, items, Pokemon health, player position, etc.)?
  9. So i took a chinese hack rom that is awsome as base and import most of the files to a clean copy of SS. After some weeks of work i made it to add some more content of my own and make the old scripts and sprites to work. All the hard work is done but it still have some bugs to fix that i have no idea how to fix so it need some more work but i have a solid base to start showing you guys. Most of the bugs are in scripts and in some trainers in the way (like some of them freezing the game before the battle) Since is my first time doing this im open to help or suggestions from more experienced people to fix the bugs so we can share a competed rom and a whole new experience to the people who loved the features in HGSS like i did. I will show you some screenshots and a short video. Let me know your opinions. I still need to add the text to the game but before that i wanna fix the bugs so dont pay much attention to it. Like i said this is my first time so please dont be mad at me lol. Here are the screenshots https://imgur.com/gallery/j0Pouty loloposta__16916.mp4
  10. Hi Guys I've been racking my brain for a couple of weeks now trying to find out the command that sets the weather within a Route's Script file in B2W2 (and BW) I am basically trying to make Tornadus / Thundurus appear at a certain time in B2W2 at Route 7, just outside the House that you get their Therian Pokedex entries in B2W2 (Ihave the Flags set on the conversation to trigger the two Genies overworld appearences upon leaving the house) However I am trying to set it so their respective weather appears at the same time as the Genies spawn.... I have been looking through BW's script which is conviently the same number for Script and Overworld, however I cannot for the life of me work out what the weather setting is from it.... I've attached the file for the BW Script on Route 7 just incase anyone is able to help me. Many Thanks M BW 1 Script 674.txt
  11. Hello, I know this may sound stupid, but I know nothing about editing a ROM. I want to edit Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky to make the player character (Eevee) shiny, along with the evolutions, but I just don't know how. I found a tool on here by this guy named Psy_Commando, but I have no idea how to use it, or if it can edit the sprites to make them shiny. Can somebody please give me a step-by-step guide on how to do this, along with alternative tools if necessary? Thanks!
  12. Hello everyone. :) So, I'm fairly new still to the idea of ROM editing and tried asking around on reddit for an answer to my current predicament. So, I wanna do a HeartGold Nuzlocke series after a failed FireRed Nuzlocke that ended in, well... the death of my team (and story-wise for a laugh my trainer). I wanted to change the teams of both Blue and Red to be similar (with adjustments) to both Blue's team from FireRed with some changes to suit my brother's personality (named it after his name on Twitch) and Red's team to be the "dream team that could have been", which I was able to accomplish using PPRE. I also wanted to change the name of Blue and Red to my original trainer's name and his rival's name from FR, but with PPRE that doesn't seem possible - or at least with the version I have. Is there a way to find an older version or another program that lets me change trainer names available? Or is there another way to safely edit the names of trainers? Also, if, by some chance, there's a way to give a trainer's Pokemon nicknames without changing all instances of a Pokemon's name to said nickname, how could I do that - or would that require creating a separate, unobtainable version of the respective Pokemon? Thank you for your time.

  21. Just wondering cause once my r4 arrives, I plan to attempt to dump my games so I don't have to carry around anything but my ds, and of course heart gold and soul silver. I DO NOT want any links to roms. Also I WILL NOT be uploading anything I dump. (HERE, or ANYWHERE for that matter) I only want to know what the proper sizes clean roms can be, so I can make sure that when I dump, I dump clean. (Mainly pokemon, but also any game since pokemon arent the only games I own) So far I have: GB/GBC: 256-KB, 512-KB, 1-MB, 2-MB, 4-MB, 8-MB GBA: 4-MB, 8-MB, 16-MB, 32-MB NDS: 8-MB, 16-MB, 32-MB, 64-MB, 128-MB, 256-MB 512-MB I think I have all the sizes on gameboy/color/advance. But the ds I only estimate from some of the things I have read. any help is appreciated thanks -cbowling
  22. when I extract an .nds file (in particular Pokemon White), there is a loss in data. the rom becomes 191 mb, when the r4 compatible version was 256 mb. Is there a way for me to recompile it so that it is compatible again? when i try to run it in r4, i get "error romload=-4)
  23. As seen in this youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLqzZWfh7JY, What is that distribution system? I'll like to assume it is a program which can be used by R4/Cyclo DS. If that IS the case, where do we get it, and how do we use it?
  24. PokeStock 11.6 Hello guys I found this tool searching in Google and it´s awesome!. I mean, it has everything you need to edit 3rd and 4th gen save files The only problem is that it´s in japanese :frown: (since it´s a brand new uptade). I remembered having the v6.4 in English... so I think that if someone that has acknowledgement of Japanese and soft hacking made a translation it will be great!! This is the project website: This is the download link: PASSWORD: amu It took me a hell of time to found this password... I spend a whole day searching in the PokeStock ugly Japanese forum in order to found it. I didn´t upload this tool because I don´t want to break any rules, (I´m in Emuforums and the guys are very strict about this things... fools). If it´s ok uploading this tool... let me know it. I managed to translate some txt files of this tool, but I couldn’t make them to fit in the GUI interface that the program have. I attached the txt that are translated by me or don´t need translation, and the others txt files that need translation. This txt files goes into the "POKEMAIN" folder. Sorry for my bad english. (I open these thread in these two sections: Save Editing and Save Research & Development, because I don´t know which is the proper one... sorry) DONT NEED Translation.zip NEED Translation.zip
