I haven't found much information about Celebi Machines, even after searching through the Internet for the last couple months, but this is some of the more notable information that I have gathered: There is a (possibly modified) Super Famicom inside, which has a (also possibly modified) Super Gameboy 2 inserted in it. Inside the SGB2 is a modified Gold version(or Blue for the Mew machines). The SGB2 is connected to a modified Gameboy/Gameboy Color, which in most pictures you can see as the "IN" slot. There is a glitch relating to Pokemon in the party having mail. What I don't know: If the Super Famicom/SGB2 is modified How they are modified. How the Pokemon Gold/GBC is modified How the Celebi is distributed. I have heard that it is automatic, but that might be untrue. These are merely my findings on this topic. I would love to hear everyone else's finds into this, whether it is false or true.

Old Pokémon Save File. Replaced my battery years ago and have been playing it for years. Though some help got it on my 3ds consoler to get the GS Ball. While the gave has been completed this is a great save file with lots to still see and do. It has a cool decorated room from Mystery Gifts items, Pokémon From PYNC event Pokémon, lots of shiny Pokémon, and lots of Pokémon that can be used for Pokémon Stadium 2. Enjoy!!! -
Hi ! Since one week, i'm working on replacing Gold's backsprites in HGSS. I've done 2 differents animations : one when the character has a pokemon following him (placed to "a/0/0/6/6.0.RGCN") and another one when a pokemon isn't following him (when you are on water for example) (placed to "a/0/0/6/6.75.RGCN"). I've followed this topic to fix a palette issue at the beginging of the battle but there is still something to fix. I've created 2 versions of "begingining animation", one when a pokemon is following Gold (like this), and another one when a pokemon isn't following Gold (like this). My problem right now is that when i'm starting a battle without pokemon following me, everything works good, but when a pokemon is following me, my sprites mix (like this). I don't really know if there is a way to ensure that sprites are loading separatly. If anyone knows, help would be appreciated. (Btw sorry for my quite not good english)

I've played a few Soul Link's so far and every time I start my play session for the day it's always kind of an annoying process. Loading up 2 separate emulators, 2 roms, having to rekeybind the controllers every time. I was wondering if someone would be able to make a program that could make it easier. If your unfimiliar with a Soul Link Nuzlocke, heres the rules. 1- Any Pokémon that faints is considered "dead," and must be released or stored in a specified PC box for "dead" Pokémon. 2- You can only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. 3- You must also nickname all of your Pokémon, for the sake of forming "stronger emotional bonds." 4- In a new area, the first encounters for both players will be, "linked," together until death. 5- If one Pokémon in a linked pair is placed in the PC, it's Soul Link partner must be placed in the PC as well. 6- If one Pokémon in a linked pair dies, it's Soul Link partner is considered dead as well. 7- If one player fails to capture their first encounter in an area, the second player must forfeit their encounter in their corresponding area. 8- Across both players parties, primary typings may not be repeated. Basically what I'm looking for is a program that emulates 2 roms side by side and be able to control them individually. I've thought of a few features to make it better. Features -Emulators from all consoles built in - Ex. VBA, Desmume, and Citra -Saves both roms under 1 "project" and loads them on the same side every time -Type Chart ready -Online Remote Play - Be able to join your friends session online to see and control one of the games. -Games connected locally so you can trade and battle -Database where you can input your linked pokemon pairs and where you caught them -Built in Pokedex Database (Not necessary but would be helpful) -Program reads both your teams and displays them between the game (I'm aware that's not an easy ask but if it's possible, why not) I feel like except for a couple of them this is a completely possible thing to create. I know it probably wont happen but I just thought I'd get the idea out there. I love doing Soul Links and I'm so happy people found a way to make Pokemon Co-op. Thanks for your time.

Pokemon Metallic This Pokemon Gold hack is meant to recreate the Gold experience while also not taking too much away from it. Below are all the features and notes. (((Players and feedback needed))) Second Release Update WE'RE ALMOST DONE!!! A few mapping changes based off feedback were done. The game is now playable past the Pokemon League. I've edited Lt. Surge, Sabrina, Erika, and Janine's gyms (Please go in that order for your own sake). If you want to explore some more of the mapping just to get a glimpse, you can. Feedback on some of those things would be nice too, just be lenient since I haven't polished that up yet, however I am definitely up for some suggestions. I have yet to edit Wild Pokemon in this region because I need suggestions from you guys. I've gone through and edited some of the things that were brought to my attention while people were playing. I've balanced out the beginning of the game so it's not too difficult. I hope to continue working on that and I may even go through and change some moves around again because there's a lack of status changing moves especially in the beginning of the game. Mud Slap's accuracy lowering rate was fixed to 10% since it's strong. Also I edited most of the Pokemon in the first gym to not have Mud-Slap. However I haven't released the edited Move Change document because I hope to change some more. I changed the wild Pokemon encounters early along so it's not too easy and you're not getting too many rarities earlier in the game. Download: [link removed] Emulator recommended: VBA It's important to read the documents I've provided before/while playing this game since they contain all the new information for the game including evolutions, move changes, and Pokemon stat changes. (Note: The Pokemon stat changes sheet does not include uneveolved forms since they are not crucial) Features: ⦁ Slightly simplified/revamped/prettier maps (Most caves are simplified; direct paths instead of walking through grass). ⦁ New evolutions for some Pokemon, which are done through stones (i.e. Remoraid has three evolutions; Lapras, Mantine, & Octillery). ⦁ New starters (see below) ⦁ You can see all Pokemon for your pokedex through battles and some can be found in the wild. ⦁ Most Pokemon that are edited evolve at level 30. Most stone evolutions should be done at level 30 as well (see evolutions document). ⦁ All HM's aren't necessary in this game. The move Cut only needs to be used once. Whirpool and Flash do not need to be used at all. ⦁ Trade evolutions are done through stones. ⦁ Chansey/Blissey training areas. ⦁ Wild Pokemon and trainers have been edited. ⦁ Evolution Stones, power up items (i.e. mystic water, charcoal, etc.) and lucky eggs are available at the Goldenrod City Department Store. Mystery Berries, Miracle Berries, PP UP, MooMoo Milk, Exp. Share, HP Up, Iron, and Max Revives can be purchased in Ecruteak City. ⦁ More dragons. (i.e. Yanma, Onix, Steelix, Arbok, Aerodactyl, Victreebell, Gyarados) ⦁ For badges 9-16, you should go in this order: Lt. Surge, Misty, Brock, Janine, Erika (travel up the biking road [sorry I had to find a way to order them]), Sabrina, Blaine (travel south from Fuscia City), Blaine (be sure to talk to Blue near the Pokemon center in [what remains of] Cinnibar Island, and then travel back to Viridian for your 16th badge from Blue. ⦁ This game is more difficult than the original so training is important. This shouldn't be difficult with VisualBoyAdvance since it has a speed up setting which I suggest you keep handy if needed. Toward the beginning of the game, please be sure to have Pokemon that either don't evolve, or Pokemon that evolve by level handy. Around the second gym, you will be probably between level 20-30. Pokemon who evolve by stone this early in the game need to be evolved at level 30, so if you hit level 30, don't level it past that UNTIL you get to Goldenrod Department Store to evolve them. This is to ensure that you get the best moveset, as most evolved Pokemon learn a better moveset at level 30 when they evolve. ⦁ Nearly 100 moves have been edited (every type has at least one move that does 120 damage and 12 PP; some move types have changed as well as their effects; also grass types are more useful now). ⦁ Most Pokemon have a split between their defense/special defense so they're equal. This is also done with Pokemon who have attack and apecial attack types. (Note: this applies to the edited pokemon.) ⦁ If a Pokemon is a special attack based pokemon (i.e Alakazam) then they will learn special attack based moves and will likely lack in the attack stat since it's kind of unneccessary. Pokemon who have a physical and a special type (i.e. Stantler, who is now Normal/Psychic) will have an even divide between attack and special attack and the type of moves they learn will match that. (Note: this applies to the edited pokemon.) ⦁ Over 100 Pokemon have had their movesets, types, stats, or evolutions edited, creating an interesting twist to the game. Pokemon that are normally weak (i.e. Ledian, Butterfree, and Beedrill) have higher and more balanced stats/moves. ⦁ "Twin" Pokemon, which are Pokemon designed to share the same base stats and usually their growth rates/base exp. are the same. (i.e. Weezing and Muk have the same stat base of 535 and the same growth rate/base exp. along with their unevolved forms) (Yes, I'm aware "twins" refers to TWO individuals, which was the original plan, however there are some "triplets" who were added after I coined the phrase while developing this game). ⦁ Some Pokemon, instead of typical evolution, share the same stats as their evolved form. (i.e. Scyther and Scizor share the same base stats, growth rates, and base exp. but Scizor is like a "defensive" version of Scyther, who is more offensive.) ⦁ Since this game takes place before the special/physical split (see below for types), Pokemon stats are designed around their types. (i.e. Gengar was a special attack based Pokemon, but ghost (ironically) was considered a physical attack type, so naturally, I gave Gengar more attack). (Note: this applies to the edited pokemon.) Physical Types: Normal, Rock, Ground, Poison, Fighting, Ghost, Bug, Flying, Steel Special Types: Water, Fire, Electric, Ice, Dark, Psychic, Dragon, Grass Known Glitches: ⦁ PLEASE DON'T ENTER THE DOOR IN THE GOLDENROD TUNNEL TO GO TO THE BASEMENT UNTIL AFTER YOUV'E BEATEN THE 7TH BADGE AND GONE THROUGH THE GOLDENROD RADIO TOWER!!!! TRAINERS HERE ARE EXTREMELY HIGH LEVEL AND A GLITCH WON'T ALLOW ME TO FIX THE ENTRANCE, SO UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE INSTANTLY, PLEASE DON'T! ⦁ Swimmers will appear swimming when you encounter them even if they cross onto land. Nothing major, the battles work the same, they just swim on land (lmao). These values also may be used to modify your Multiplayer Avatar for the Union Room and Wi-Fi. The sprite change will only occur between two Copies of either Heart Gold or Soul Silver. Details on this can be found in the Third Spoiler. Progress: As I did with Pokemon Platinum, I've taken the liberty of deriving a list of values to be used to modify your character sprite to that of another sprite in the game. The following code was created by the hackers on GBAtemp, whom I thank alot for their hard work. The code will work like this: Due to the lack of a calculator in the game, the alteration of the code is neccessary to change you character. Also note using multiple character altering codes at the same time has a high potential of crashing your game, so please refrain from attempting it. Here is the code: 62110DC0 00000000 B2110DC0 00000000 10025D90 00000XXX D2000000 00000000 First start by finding the desired value that you want. All you have to do is replace the Red X's with any of the following values and presto. You have yourself the desired sprite. It should be known, however, that although the walking animations for each sprites work perfectly fine, the only sprites capable of having a working running animations are the Hero Sprites for Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver. Values 000~00F: Values 100~1FF: Values 200~244***: I will update this thread as I finish more lists. Also, here are some working codes that some of you may enjoy: Play as Red: Play As Platinum Male: Play As Platinum Female: Play As Team Rocket Hero (Male): Play As Team Rocket Hero (Female): Personal Favorite Values: Pics of Modified Sprites: Sprite Set #1: Sprites #2: Sprites #3:

I just noticed that transferred pokemon are not working properly from gen 2 vc games. Here is a scizor from generation 2 vc, the legality check says it is legal, but when I try and use it online, it says "there is a problem with one or more of your pokemon" even though it says it's legal. Legal! === Valid Move 1: Learned by Level-up. Valid Move 2: Learned by TM/HM. Valid Move 3: Learned by TM/HM. Valid Move 4: Learned by TM/HM in Generation 2. Valid Relearn Move 1: Valid. I am playing around with my pokemon silver's rom (US). I am using G2Map to open the map, and frhed as my hex editor. I will reference this probably a lot: https://hax.iimarck.us/files/scriptingcodes_eng.htm I have read a bit on how event scripting works, but am still trying to wrap my head around all of it. I am looking at the goldenrod map, and have been toying with the warp script, but I am unsure of what is happening. G2Map says the warp script is at 0x122482. and Currently G2Map says the Target Point is 1, Target Bank is D, and Target Map is B. This post was edited Heavily do to the fact I was pretty confused... So at ROM Location 0x122482, is the warp info for the Goldenrod Pokemon Center. The warp info is 5 bytes long. After some testing I found that they are arranged in this order: [YY][XX][DW][MB][DM] YY = Warp Tile's Y Coordinate XX = Warp Tile's X Coordinate DW = Destination Warp Number MB = Destination Map Bank DM = Destination Map This info is all editedable by G2Map. :^|

I recently bought an Action Replay DSi and love it, but there is one problem: It can back up all my saves from games, except Pokemon Heart Gold. When I try, it says there is no cart in my AR, when there clearly is. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, does anyone know the solution?

I can't make a hack myself, but it's a good idea. I was thinking a G/S with expansions to the story and gameplay, but no actual story changes that would majorly alter the game. What I mean is, to add new items (possibly a GS ball thing) and new events. The game is mostly the same, but extended. So say after you beat Red, you get a call from Professor Elm (or an expansion to when you have to see him after bating the E4) saying that he found a Poké Ball behind his healing machine, and that it's nothing like he's ever seen. If it's the call scenario, you go to the lab and this happens, If it's the E4 scenario, this is just added to the Master Ball reward. "[PHONECALL] Remember how I gave you that Master Ball? Well, I've found another Ball behind my healing machine that I've never seen before. Can you take it to Kurt to check it out? He'll surely know what it will do. [Receive GS Ball]" And so on. "[E4 AFTER HE GIVES MASTERBALL AS YOU ARE LEAVING LAB] [! above head, walks to player] I almost forgot, I found this behind my healing machine. Can you take it to Kurt and have it examined? [Receive GS Ball]" And then you go to Kurt. "[ONCE AT KURT'S] [! over head when you step inside, Kurt walks to player] Oh, hey. I just got a phone call from Prof. Elm, he said you were coming with something for me. Oh? A GS Ball? I've seen this only once before." And he goes on about what you have to do to catch Celebi. It should go along the lines of that, which expands on the story by completing unused maps (Safari Zone) and adding events for unused items (GS Ball). If possible, new functionality could be added such as the currently unknown area north of Johto and Kanto, with new buildings or maybe a whole new region based on an area of a country OTHER than Japan. Obviously the ROM would need to be expanded, but the end result would be epic. Is there anybody who knows how to use my idea at least to a certain extent?

I know, I know. Silly silly question. Just to see how one-sided this poll will be, who will be buying the much anticipated remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver?
-
When I saw that there was going to be a remake, I was excited. I got up and just, was excited. The questions simple, how did you react when you came here and saw those two beautiful remake logos staring you in the face? Were you happy? Did you yell? Say it here!
-
So... I was playing gold until the day HGSS came out... then I scrapped Gold and went to HG! By the way, Gold was good while it lasted

Hello everybody, today I will be showing you how to determine your Secret ID in Pokemon Heart Gold or Soul Silver. You can also hack your game using this method, but I won't go into detail about that. 1. Go to your NO$GBA BATTERY folder and copy your save file elsewhere in order to back it up in case you make a mistake. 2. Open NO$GBA.ini in Notepad, and scroll down to the line: SAV/SNA File Format == Compressed ...change this to: SAV/SNA File Format == Uncompressed ...and save the file. 3. Open No$GBA (make sure your save type in NO$GBA is FLASH 512 kbytes) and continue your game. Save the game, and quit NO$GBA. Check the size of your save file in the BATTERY folder. It should be over 500KB (mine was 512KB). 4. Download the following program. You will use it to convert your save file: No$GBA --> VBA Battery Converter To use it, click the "Configure" button and follow the instructions by clicking on the buttons in order. In the text box named "New .SAV File" enter a name for the new file you will make. Now select your Pokemon save file and press convert file. It will create a new save file with the name you typed in. 5. Now open up your Pokesav program for Pokemon HGSS. Click the button that says "open", and select your new converted save file (the one you made in step 4). Your ID and SID should appear in the text boxes corresponding to each. That's all folks! If you have any questions/concerns, please post a reply.
