Hi all, I am a IT student and I am currently trying to reverse engineer the inner working of the Gen IV Distribution ROM. I already figured out the basics but... Right now, I am facing an issue with the way data is encrypted. I already know of tools such as WC4PCD or PokeGen, PokeHex... but I am trying to understand and create my own program to decrypt and reencrypt all by myself. So I am asking if any one here as any leads or straight up know what encryption algorithm is used. I obviously did some research but no luck yet. (Chat GPT told me to XOR the file but idk what key to use). Thanks in advance, and my apologies if I made any english mistake

I've begun playing around with pgt and pcd files and I have a few questions I hope some of you can answer. 1. I know what the files are for, but what does PGT and PCD stand for? (ie.: PGT = Pokemon Green Terabyte?) 2. I've read that when activating a Wonder Card I should set my NDS date to match the date that the Wonder Card is being "distributed" for. Is that true? 2.1. Are there any other legit precautions such as the one mentioned in question 2. that you know about? I so, please list them. 3 I activated a Wonder Card and was able to look at it. Apparently it was a card I've already received and I believe I actually removed it through non-cheating methods. However, when I checked again, the card wasn't there anymore. Could it be because the NDS places a note or removed Wonder Cards so that they don't show up on the screen? 4. Is there an AR code that can show me all the Wonder Cards I've received? 5. I have three different Pokesav programs - Diamond/Pearl, Platinum and HG/SS. If I want to load pgt and pcd files for an event that was only available for D/P versions, is it okay for me to use the Platinum or HG/SS Pokesav? Or do I have to use the D/P one for it? Hi, I try yo use pokesav to import a pgt file on my platinum save but when i receive the the gift (the Korea battle series arcanaine) the name of the pokemon and the OT name only appear as a bunch o ?. Can anyone please help me. I try to use PDC-Safe but i was only able to load the pdc file on save, not the pgt file. Thanks in advance

I wasn't sure whether this would go here or in Event Pokemon, but since it's about something I made in Pokesav, I figured asking here would make sense. So, I made a .pgt file for the NoK Arcanine, based on one I received today and by the one uploaded by Floot. It looks good to me, but there's one problem. When I get the Arcanine on my game, its OT and name are supposed to be question marks. But this one has bigger question marks than it's supposed to. All of the other NoK events had smaller ???s compared to this one. My question is: Why are the question marks showing up as big ones when they're not supposed to? I've attached the .pgt. EDIT: Problem resolved. I got the question mark problem to stop. It had something to do with the Trash Bytes, I think. :\ An exact answer would still be appreciated, though. NoK Arcanine.pgt
