Hello! I'd like to showcase my first ever ROM hack - A difficulty hack for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. My main goal with this hack is to introduce quality of life changes, new dungeon variety, new Pokémon spawn lists all while making the original game harder! (But not Kaizo hard) I am also trying to steer away from unnecessary dialogue additions and anything that could take away from a player's experience or ruin immersion. Exact specifications of what has and will be changed will be included with every version I release. As there already is way to much for me to

I've been fiddling around with SkyTemple lately and I decided to make a short ROM hack out of it! The story is based on a very basic one-shot a friend of mine mastered to test out a PMD tabletop RPG we're playing I made this mostly to test out SkyTemple and have a bit of fun with it, so it's really short - you can complete it in about five minutes. The good thing is that this means it's complete! You can easily play it from beginning to end. Attached here is the xdelta patch (to be applied on a US ROM of Explorers of Sky) as well as a few screenshots! - EDIT: Due to the ne

Project website: https://skytemple.org Hi! A few months ago I wondered if there are any tools to make custom PMD2 ROM Hacks. I found out that much work on the games had been done, but there wasn't really any user friendly GUI editor to make custom ROM hacks. So I decided, I'd give it a shot and try to make my own. This tool can edit both the ROMs of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky EU / NA. Now, before I begin, I want to stress that NONE of this would have been even remotely possible without people like @psy_commando, @Nerketur, @evandixon, @MegaMinerd or any

Two Pokémon: Journey To Heaven A Google Translate romhack! Current Version: In Development The Joke: Google Translate romhacks have been a thing for a long time now, Explorers of Sky hasn't had one yet, though. With the release of SkyTemple, one is now being made blended! Play through the same heart wrenching game, except with the heart wrenching part removed and replaced with lines that really deserve a mature warning. Where To Get: As the romhack is still in the making, there isn't much to show on it, much less a download link. Some screenshots are put here as w

Hi ! I'm fairly new around here, and I'm relatively new to rom hacking and to the NDS scene in general, but I'm working on several little projects for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky / Time / Darkness, and I thought it would nice to share it with others ! Especially with others with more technical knowledge than I ! I hope this will be useful ! And be sure to report any bugs, or tidbits of information you have ! Those would prove invaluable ! Feel free to mention whether it worked for you, or not so much ! Any feedback is always great ! You might need 7zi

This mod is simply from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, which I would call Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Legendary Edition, which is a simple change from starter Pokémon, in that case the cover shows Mew, Celebi and Jirachi as the three notable Pokémon ... That's why that means when you do the Pokémon Test you want to be: Male Gender: You have 40% of it being Mew. 30% of you being Jirachi. 15% of you being Celebi. 5% of you being Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Charmander. Female Gender: You have 75% of you being Celebi: 40% normal. 35% pink (sh -
Hi there, I made some edits to the portraits of selected pokemon so that they may properly be used as the player character or partner. I added: Electrike, Bagon, Aron, Larvitar, Poochyena, Growlithe, Houndour, Dratini, and Zangoose. In the future I may add more upon request. To use the aformentioned pokemon, you must use cheats (unreccommended as both I and PP don't condone cheating), or SkyEditor 3.2 (or Sky Editor 4.0.5 which has more features) To do list: FIX BUGS!!! Add more pokemans Create patch file so no one has to use SkyEditor Create patch file so no one has to unpack the rom

Seeing as the PMD games weren't mysterious enough, I made a randomizer for them. This program randomizes the following aspects of the game: Pokemon Attributes Abilities Move learnset Typing IQ Groups [*]Dungeon Attributes The pokemon that appear in each dungeon The items that spawn in each dungeon The terrain appearance of each dungeon The music of each dungeon [*]Starters These options can all be enabled and disabled independent of each other. The Randomizer currently only supports Explorers of Sky (US), but I am working on support for more versions in th

NOTE: FOR THOSE HAVING SCREEN STRETCHING ISSUES IN DOLPHIN, use ShowMiiWads to match your system. Dolphin gets weird about Region-Free patching. https://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/ShowMiiWads Finally the Japan-exclusive WiiWare Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles, the Adventure Squad series, have been translated! Patches for each game have been released after months and months of hard work from fans of the series. The team has also worked with the Wiimmfi and RiiConnect24 teams in order to restore the event Pokémon that were distributed for this game. Other features of the translation include -
(I hope I posted this in the correct forum) PMDe is an editor for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, that allows you to edit most aspects of the game; a full list of features can be found below. It is programmed in Java and developed using the Netbeans IDE. PMDe uses ini4j to store important offsets in the ROM. Additional icons were taken from various Pretty Office Icons sets. Tileset previews were created by SilverDeoxys563. Also, huge thanks to BRNMan and Crocodile91! They have already documented a lot about the game's data and ROM structure. Please be sure to hide any PSMD spoilers within spoiler tags, until the game is released in all regions ! About This Thread: This thread is mostly for posting on-going research notes/progress and findings for the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon games. Both games use very similar formats, and work generally the same way, which is why they both share the same thread. Information: Here are links to interesting posts in the thread, and to external websites. How to extract PMD:GTI rom's content How to batch decompile the lua scripts A nic

I hacked my EoS hero to be a Shaymin, but I can't use a Gracidea on it to transform into Skymin. It simply says "it had no effect" when attempting. Is there any way to make the hero a legit shaymin that can transform?

explorers of sky Sky Editor - Sleeping sprites?
DriftWinter posted a topic in ROM - NDS Discussion & Help
I've modded a rom of Explorers of Sky using Sky Editor, so far everything works great, all the portraits I've made work perfectly, only problem I've come across is that the game doesn't use sleeping sprites, which is kinda distracting. Anyone have any idea if it's possible to force the game to use sleeping sprites? Each pokemon has them. I'll also leave the portraits I've made so far available to download, in case anyone was interested Portraits.7z- 2 replies

I've looked around for a bit, but couldn't find anything, except for a lot of research done, even though I'm not that experienced with the code of these games, I can see that a lot has been figured out and probably made editable. My question is, does anyone know or have a tool used to edit psmd saves because, I'd really like that, I've completed the game and are just looking to mess around with it now. Any response, either positive or negative, is appreciated, thanks in advance! ~Glaze

idea Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky hack
Blob55 posted a topic in ROM - NDS Discussion & Help
This is an idea I came up for a hack of this game, that includes most Pokémon that aren't in any Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series yet. Here I have a list of Pokémon that will be new to the series and the Pokémon that will be replaced. All of the Pokémon being replaced are in Gates to Infinity. (Bar Purple Kecleon). Purrloin (Leafeon) Liepard (Glaceon) Pidove (Vaporeon) Tranquil (Jolteon) Unfezant (Flareon) Throh (Ho-Oh) Sawk (Purugly) Basculin (Eevee (My be difficult due to being a Starter)) Darumaka (Pikachu (My be difficult due to being a Starter)) Darmanitan (Raichu) Maractus (Gl -
Hello friends right now I would like to ask what is the progress of hacking the PMD games so far I heard that a map editor is in the works and a save editor exists but I want to know if a literal HACK can be made I must know this for a project I have decided to do. I will appreciate anyone who answers this question because I will know if I should wait a little longer to start the project or start now thank you for your time. -Boured-

My idea basically combines a favorite franchise of mine with a genre of gaming that I personally love. For a while, I have wondered what a zombie apocalypse would be like in the Pokemon universe. Would unaffected trainers have to search for un-infected Pokemon? Would wild and captured Pokemon be forced to slaughter re-incarnated humans? When thinking, I had one problem. Would a zombie virus infect the Pokemon, or the trainers? Then it dawned on me; a realm where only one of those factors remained was already around. The Mystery Dungeon spinoffs. And the idea of Explorers of Life was thought up

Since it doesn't seem like anyone knows how the data is stored, here's a start: Most *.bin files are archive files. They're similar to narc, but slightly different. 0x0-3: Unknown; 00 00 00 00 0x4-7: Number of Files 0x8-B: Start of 1st file 0xC-F: Length of 1st file (8+8x) to (B+8x): Start of file index x (C+8x) to (F+8x): Length of file index x where x=0 to (value of 0x4-7) - 1 I might work on it more, but I'll give more time into my save editor for this game. Have fun, ROM researchers! [edit] Attached simple .Net Framework 4.0 command line utility to extract files from a bin arc
