  1. Edit: I found the button that makes it a spoiler block
  2. Hello, first time here on the forums and I'm looking to see if anyone can help me see if a Shiny Celebi I got traded is even legit, or at least legal. not nicknamed Level 30 Virtual Console mark Moves (w/ proper PP) - Heal Bell, Safeguard, Ancient Power & Future Sight 5IV (only Decent attack) no EVs OT: Velma (31121) Obtained through VC Coin Case glitch What bothers me is that I know that the ID is from a Japanese Celebi event. So if anyone can explain why this is the case, and if Shiny Celebi is legit/legal or not, I would much appreciate it!
  3. Hey guys, I recently figured out a neat method of giving Shiny Pokémon as a gift... So it actually uses the regular 0E 01 command.. 0E 01 - Beginning (PKMN ID) (LEVEL) (FORM) 00 00 00 00 01 00 D8 00 04 00 I'm quite sure this must be used in place of the normal 0E 01 command when you want to give a Pokémon.. Hope this helps
  4. Hello ! I'm working on a fusion hack rom based on drayano's pokemon volt white 2. The game's working fine but i'd like to change the shiny rate. Here's what i did so far : - Extracted (not exported) the arm9.bin with crystaltile2 - found the right offset for '08 28' at 0x18e1c - tried to change it with crystaltile2 or hxd The problem is when i try to compress it back in volt white 2. The same message: "file too small. Insert it somewhere else". keep poping and i'm stuck in an infinite loop. I also tried to use tinke instead of crystaltile2 but i can't compress the arm9 with it. When i do the same thing with a white 2 rom it works fine but i can't find a way to do it with volt white 2. Also the size of the arm9.bin keep changing when i update it. Is there a way to change it cleanly without changing the file size ?
  5. I'm currently trying to improve the shiny charm in pokemon white 2. Why do I try to do that rather than edit the overall shiny odd ? It's because in pokemon volt white 2 drayano made some cleanup in the game files and it's impossible to reinsert arm9.bin back to the game once it's edited. Following what @Andibad and @Bond697 said in the topics above, I tried to find a way to edit shiny charm but i'm stuck. I don't know what value I should edit since it's a key item. Does it work the same as berries ?
  6. Hello, could someone please create a file for any of the 4 generation 7 games for the 3Ds with all shiny pokemon that are compatible with Sword and Shield? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hello, I have been trying to generate a legit shiny manaphy from pokemon ranger but when i turn it shiny, it says wrong PID. I got my saves from a r4 so i can only mods my save file in these generation. So How do I get a legit PID with shiny
  8. Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone had/ could please make me a sav file with any of the shiny starters in any of the gen 3 games. Either fire red/ leaf green or Emerald. Also could you please put the name of the player to Ryan and select the male character. Thank you so much! I appreciate it! P.S. If possible would Could I also get max money and the aurora ticket.
  9. Below is my current seed for a perfect shiny Ralts T^T I checked the raid list and it confirms that my next encounter must be a shiny!! But when I entered the Max Raid, Ralts wasn't shiny Am I doing something wrong? Thank you to everyone who replies. IF YOU KNOW AN ADMIN OR EXPERT, please feel free to tag them Edit 1: IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION that for Dentype Common, the Shinys still appear. But when Dentype is Rare, they don't.... maybe that's a bug or there's something that I'm missing.... Edit 2: One more thing. I have only cleared the first gym. Read somewhere that the number of rarity stars for dens goes up when you get more badges. That COULD potentially be the reason.... like, maybe I'm not yet qualified for 2-5 star dens so the shiny seeds won't work when I try to make a shiny rare den (which is 2-5 stars) p.s: DANG IT I KEEP EDITING
  10. Desperately need codes for Pokemon Platinum that contain the 3 Legendary Beasts (Shiny) from the 13th Movie: Entei, Raikou and Suicune Been searching for the codes for 3 days HG/SS codes are widely available but really need codes for Platinum (US) https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Legendary_beasts_(M13)#Suicune
  11. I am looking for pk8 files for a Lunala and a Solgaleo with the OTs as Moonset and Sunset. If you have them, please DM me or offer to add them to the next PKHeX update
  12. Let me just start by saying what a pain it was to figure all of this out. So, I'm putting my knowledge out here in order to help others enjoy playing Gen 4 Roms with an increased shiny rate. The base of my knowledge is based on this Reddit Post: and from there I reverse engineered the rest of the games. Note that I did this with English version Roms. I don't think this will work for other languages but I'll include a way to try. So, without further ado I'll explain the process. Before starting, you will need to download a hex editor. I used HxD for this process and here's the link: https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ For Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl (I only tried Pearl but they should be similar enough it doesn't matter), take your rom and open the .nds file in the Hex Editor. Hit Control + G and search for the offset 0006CAC0. Starting at Line 4, you should see the values 08 28 01 D2. For full odds possible without hacking, replace the "08" with "FF". This will give you a shiny odds of 1/257, or 0.4%. Make sure to save the file. For Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver (I only tried HeartGold but again it shouldn't matter), do the same as you did for Diamond and Pearl but search for the offset 000559A0. Starting at line 0A, you should see the values 08 28 01 D2 01. Again, change the "08" to "FF" for 1/257 shiny odds. Make sure to save the file. From there, I recommend starting that Rom or making a randomizer of that specific rom and doing encounters until you find a shiny to double check. Should take roughly 150ish, at least from my experience with testing. A 100% guarantee that it's working is that if you do a playthrough and a opponent trainer sends out a Pokemon that is shiny. Then it definitely works because that only happens when the rate is boosted this way. If for some reason you can't find the value, specified or you want to try a different rom language, try this method that I used to find the offsets. For Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, hit Control + F and click on the Hex Values tab. In the bar, search for "08 28 01 D2 01 20 00" and change the "08" value ONLY! For HeartGold and SoulSilver, search for "08 28 01 D2 01" and replace the "08" value ONLY! Hopefully that works, let me know below. NOTE***: I tried sharing my files with my friend so he could use my modified shiny boosted roms and they weren't working. Changing and saving the Rom .nds file ALSO modifies the .nds.bak file. You need both the modified .nds file and the .nds.bak file that goes with it for this to work. So if it isn't working there may be an unknown problem with your .nds.bak file. If this tutorial is confusing or hard to follow please let me know and I will make a YouTube video from start to finish to help. Thanks and happy gaming!
  13. First of all, this is my first time asking on this site I think, so if I created this topic in the wrong place or I broke the rules on accident, sorry in advance! But I have something to ask that intrigues me. On the start of playing Pokémon Moon, when Pokémon Bank was made compatible with Gen 7 years ago, I sent a lot of shiny legendary Pokémon from Gen 4, made them appear as shiny with an emulator, then resetting their encounters with another code a ton of times to encounter them infinitely, and sent from R4 to real cartridge to be transfered. Doing this, the PKHex program recognizes the PID of these mons as invalid on the shininess, as it would be expected. One of these Pokémon was Shaymin. From those days of giving shiny legendaries, now only 2 shiny Shaymin remain with me. Checking PKHex on my Moon save now, however, I found something a bit astonishing: one of the Shaymin's PID matched its supposedly fake shininess. All was legal, the program said... I know if you add shiny with the program on Gen 3 and 4 mons, the PID will not match no matter how you roll it unless you use an advance PID separated program ...that means that one Shaymin I encountered was actually a legit, full odds shiny? I'm legit curious and that would be awesome. Also, on a side note, I no longer do those types of things with emulators anymore. In fact I hope to reset for my first shiny legendary Pokémon soon! Anyway, cheers, I hope someone could answer me!
  14. Hi, I want to know if I make a lot of eggs and put all in the box, then opem my save file with pkhex, can I see if there is a shiny or I need to hatch it? Because I can see what pokémon that will hatch using this method, but the question is if i can see if its shiny or not. Thank you.
  15. If anyone has it, I would be most grateful if anyone has a shiny beldum from the 2014 ORAS event to trade in ORAS or Gen 7. While I have nothing in particular to trade in ORAS itself, I could give my friend code out for switch and trade something from there. I have most of the Gmax mons including a shiny charizard, as well as some shinies in Let's Go or USUM if you want. I know this is a stupid request asking for something so big, but I had lost my original copy of Alpha Saphire with it inside back in 2015, so I had lost it long ago without anything to really trade until now. I'm willing to trade multiple shines as well. That is all.
  16. Hey, Does somebody know how to change the shiny odds in Pokémon black and white?
  17. Hello, I wanted to create a shiny channel Jirachi with pkhex, but since I don't understand everything about pid and seed, I don't know if it's somehow possible to make the Pokemon legal. If someone could please check if the Jirachi is even possible and if it is please send me a .pk3 and .pk5 file I would be very grateful. The Pokemon should have these values: Shiny = yes Nature = Bashful lang = GER Origin Game = Ruby (Since I unfortunately lost my Ruby. ) If possible with the IVs HP = 23 Atk = 28 Def = 26 SpA = 20 SpD = 20 Spe = 31 OT = CHANNEL (Since it's supposed to be from Pokemon CHANNEL) For this I tried PokeFinder and maybe made a few helpful screenshots.
  18. I know that if xor=0 pokemon can be square shiny. But I cna't find how to make sq shiny jirachi pk3 with pkhex. It's hard to match legit pid I tired Rng reporter to find pid but channel part doesn't match and pkhex database doesn't give shiny one. Is there any way to find legit square shiny jirachi pid? or get legit sq jirachi pk3?
  19. Maybe I don't fully understand this but this option allows me to encounter a specific Pokemon right? Everything appears to be correct yet I can't find the Shiny Vulpix. It simply doesn't show up in game. Am I doing something wrong? I can't find much information anywhere about this.
  20. Good afternoon, Recently I've decided to run a shiny only randomized Nuzlocke for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond. In order to do so; however, you need to find software in order to make your Pokémon encounters 100% shiny. I found the software PkNX for switch that I thought would work to help randomize my game while increasing shiny odds. Simultaneously, I am using the Yuzu emulator which has save files that are in a .BIN format, which is unable to be read through PkNX. Ultimately; my question is, is there a way I can make Yuzu read files that are in the same "File" format as the picture on the right? Is there a converter I can use online? The PkNX does not read .BIN files and I was wondering if there was a way I could change that.. Or is there a program where I can do all these things in order for me to increase shiny odds while randomizing my game? P.S. - I have tried PkHex and PkHax. If there is a way to randomize and increase shiny odds through this program, then please let me know because I don’t know how! Thank you for your time, sorry if this was confusing!!
  21. i used PKHeX to add some mons to the pokedex that i couldnt find so that way i complete my pokedex, i left those mons without weight so they appear in the pokedex with 0 height and 0 weight also my pokedex says im a full star member and i have 99,999 research points, is this normal? i got the shiny charm with my full perfect pokedex but now when i go to any map, i can only find one shiny if most, i can be hunting for 2 hours in an outbreak and no shiny will appear, so could there be something wrong or is just bad RNG. Thanks for your answers, sorry for any grammatical errors in the post english is not my first language
  22. Hi! When I discovered that there's 40 boxes in BDSP, I decided to have both a Living Dex and a Shiny Living Dex. I then tried to generate a shiny version for each final evolution of each Pokémon. It worked... exept for Mesprit and Cresselia. I was wondering... are they shiny locked? I think I need these details to get one, but I have no clue... TID - 551160 SID - 1129 TSV - 3430 I don't care about IVs. Can someone help out? Thanks!

This program takes screenshots of your computer screen, checks if a pokemon is shiny, and either reloads the ROM from a savestate or pauses it. To check out testing and if you want to support, check this project out on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/gaminglegion01 or on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6bPU1SmnZZXlETv1DlW91Q. This is where I am, almost, constantly live-streaming the project for testing and personal shiny hunting. This is the best place to see the most up-to-date version in action and see for yourself whether you think it's worth it or not. Currently, this program is limited and in progress. These variables will be fixed in the future but these are the current limitations: - Only works on 1920x1080 and 1280x720 size screen (not resolution) - Only works for Generation 2 and 3 games - Only tested in VBA-M so far - Game text speed set to Fast - Only works for the starters I have made HUGE strides, in terms of this project, in making this program better. I appreciate everyone who downloaded and supported this as I have been excited to get back into it. If you find any bugs let me know. Below is how you should set yourself up for each game before starting, as well as how the program works with the new changes. --- How it works --- Upon hitting the Start button, any instance of VMA-M will force close and reopen with some new user configuration, modified by this program. The program will then load the savestate in the first slot, save over it, and start detecting the inputted Pokemon. Once detected, the program will pause VBA-M and stop giving inputs. It should be noted that upon the program stopping by detection, stopping on button press, or stopping on close, the original user configurations will be re-added so that nothing will happen to your normal gameplay. --- Gold/Silver/Crystal Setup --- You want to align your player on the bottom side of the table facing the Pokeball of your choice. Drop a save in-game, then a savestate. From there you are golden. --- Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald Setup --- You want to align your player on the bottom or right side of the satchel facing into it. Drop a save in-game, then a savestate. From there you are golden. --- FireRed/LeafGreen Setup --- You want to align your player on the bottom side of the table facing the Pokeball of your choice. Drop a save in-game, then a savestate. From there you are golden.
