  1. I prefer Ho-Oh, but I am not sure why. Perhaps I feel that way because it seems more majestic. Lugia just seems weird... Why does a bird live in water? What are the points of the spines if they do not help in flight and they need to be tucked in to swim?
  2. Well I am not an expert, but the DS just froze for a second... I have never heard of a DS ever doing what you just explained though... Aside from when turned off... But did it come back completely on it's own? And is it a DS Lite, because it is also possible your son accidentally hit the Power Button. As for the saving along the way, one can save the game at any point, except in battles, by pressing the X Button which will bring up the Menu. Then you would go down until you are at the option "Save" it will prompt a screen, all you need to do is say "Yes" and the game will be saved. Unfortunately, you can not return to Canalave City, except by doing it the way he did it before, sorry.
  3. There are multiple move tutors as such I think it would be easier to link you to a site for that: http://www.serebii.net/red_green/move-tutor.shtml The information for the Move Relearner is there as well.
  4. Fuchsia City, the house next to the Pokémon Center... Rather empty post I made...
  5. Does he act like that all of the time? As in, does he bother every living human being that he comes in contact with or just you? Because if he just bothers you than you could potentially stop his actions by acting more calm around him, that way he might lose interest. Now I know it is easier said than done, but think of it like this: You'll end up bettering yourself by controlling your emotions (I do not mean to say you may have an emotional problem, just saying that being able to be in full control of one's emotion is better than not) and you may stop that kid's actions. Now if he bothers other people as well then you might as well try to confront your mother. If you can manage to act like an adult, and not say childish things and sound as if your whining, she may end up opening her supposedly deaf ears. PS: Your father is on medication right? If so he should be fine, even if angered. I would say your mother may be a tad too cautious, unless his doctor said otherwise.
  6. How old is your brother? He seems to be no more than ten. Your mother should have said no without allowing a chance for your brother to respond. I am surprised that his behavior has been allowed to progress to that point. Has he been told at all that his actions are rude and bothersome?
  7. Personally I like Mew more than Mewtwo, because it represents innocence and fun. Honestly I just cannot force myself to feel any sort of sympathy for Mewtwo, because he tried to take over the world because he was upset that he did not have a known purpose (Dang it... I forgot what he was upset about... Well I think I am on the right track). Seriously, he was being evil and then he has a change of heart because he turned someone to stone? And one more thing... Why would humans make something that powerful... And not give it an off switch?
  8. When calculating the amount of EVs received from a battle you would add the EVs received from the Pokémon added to the amount increased from the held item, in this case a Power Brace, but when you have Pokérus then you would multiply the total amount of EVs received from the Pokémon and the held item. In other words: In your example you would gain two Attack EVs and then add four from the Power Brace. Afterward you would multiply the total, six, by two (from the Pokérus) and the total would be twelve. I hope that answers your question pokemonfan.
  9. I would probably keep a few as pets and such... But I feel that the interesting thing would be what the government would do. With beings of such immense power they would be used for war and chaos which would be interesting, in a way. Then again there would the taming problem, and the investments needed to create a device that could make matter into energy and vice-versa... But then animal activists would come around and it would be crazy... Such a world would be very fun to live in... And dangerous... but still fun.
  10. I believe that the Underground will never run out of things inside of the ground, so no you will always have things to dig up no matter how much you dig up. Now you could run out of space for the items in your bag, but you probably know that.
  11. You assume correctly pokemonfan, once a Pokémon has had it's EVs fully maxed out then that Pokémon will no longer gain EVs, unless you remove some by using a certain type of berry. These Berries: Pomeg(HP), Kelpsy(Atk), Qualot(Def), Hondew(SpA), Grepa(SpD), and Tamato(Spe). To put it simply, it no longer matters against who you battle with your Jolteon after it is fully trained.
  12. I would die. The situation cannot be escaped at all. "Zombies" probably feel no pain so they could simply ram their bodies into any house until they can enter. No matter what you do you will die. Another thing... Why is everyone else dead, but me, in the first place?
  13. Granted. Now there is an extreme abundance of flamers/trollers/and generally horrible people. I wish I could live one day as a female.
  14. Serebii has some more information: The Pokéthlon features more minigames including a snowball fighting game called Shooting Snow and a sumo-wrestling game called Ring Out Fight. The Pokégear includes a Phone, Map, Radio, and an Itemfinder. One can also select two Key items instead of just one, they can be accessed by the touch screen. OK... No TV... Cool so... Pichu... will not evolve... There better be an incredibly well written explanation in the story as to why that is.
  15. All of you completely disregarded, or did not care for, the Lapras on it's hind flippers in the picture! I find that extremely... cute! And the music is absolutely beautiful, and it is a good refresher. Minigames... I feel that they at least add more stuff to do rather than just hitting other Pokémon.
  16. Yes, the iPhone is an all-in-one device, but GPS has nothing to do with gaming. Also, perhaps I should have continued after my last post that while right now the iPhone is not heavy competition in the gaming department, if more developers start paying more attention to Apple than Nintendo, because the iPhone is capable of graphics that the DS cannot it could end up beating it. And Mewtwo Ex, I believe there is an app of the original Pokémon games.
  17. I do not honestly believe that the iPhone or it's less communication oriented brother, the iPod Touch, can touch the Nintendo's DS or DSi. I have seen the games that can be played on the iPhone. They have few levels, they are pretty easy, and most only have one objective and really only one thing to do. If someone tries to satiate their gaming thirst with the iPhone alone, they will be disappointed.
  18. An interesting topic. Is it by luck that all is like this or perhaps a miracle. Or is it a miracle created by luck, or luck created by miracle. Some say that a miracle created the first organisms. Some argue that it was mere luck and that all was there exactly when it needed to be. I find that a miracle is luck, and vice versa. All right no more repetition... Personally I believe that the universe is and always has been about luck. Multiple events strung together into an unpredictable pattern. The only thing that is set in stone is that the event will occur and it will end, that is it. What happens between creation and oblivion is completely up to chance. It is by chance that I am capable of thinking in this manner. It is by chance that the human race created the idea of miracle and luck. And it is by chance that we as humans are incapable of ever knowing. Perhaps it is a Law of Nature. Perhaps humans are never to know. Ever curious the human will constantly try to figure out everything, but in this greed human beings will... Okay I went way off there. Basically: Everything can only be by luck because a miracle even happening implies that humans truly have no control of their path, and I as a human can not wish for what I believe is free will to leave me as a possiblility and allow it to become a memory. In other words, I am scared of miracles.
  19. I absolutely abhor the mere sight of Ditto... Porygon... Porygon2... Porygon-Z... and Mewtwo... They are not Pokémon. They are mere abominations of human experimentation in the Pokémon world. Their very existence could not have come about without multiple failed attempts. The very fact that they could be considered Pokémon makes me have to rethink the idea of Pokémon. Are these Pocket Monsters merely animals? Is it so easy to shove them into the category. In any case this is an example of humans who believe themselves as divine in the Pokémon world.
  20. All right... First off... Scientist have proven that it is genetic. Read this article: http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/06/scientists-link/ Brains are, according to everything I have learned about the brain, not molded in terms of shape. Therefore if the above article can prove that brains are different when looking at homosexual and heterosexual males/females then it obviously genetic. Of course scientists still have a lot of unknowns in terms of the brain so honestly whether it is genetic/psychological/neurological/pathological/ecetera we as humans are currently incapable of proving. Whether it is right or wrong, I do not know. I can say, Zafur, that trying to compare the rights of homosexual men and women with the rights of African Americans under Jim Crow laws is a bad idea. First off, homosexual men and women have all of the same rights as heterosexual men and women. America does not force them to do anything. Under Jim Crow laws African Americans could not go to certain places or do certain things, but you fail to realize that Heterosexuals are now incapable of marrying the same sex, just like Homosexuals. In other words, America is not limiting the rights of one group, but the rights of everyone (whether a group does not like that is their issue). I suppose that this really should not be about whether it is right or wrong, but whether America should allow all Americans to be happy.
  21. My favorite Pokémon cry is... Regigigas Its cry sounds so interesting, like a great enemy has come forth and is ready to attack.
  22. I believe that you missed the "influence" part of the title. Influence, by definition, is the power of persons or things that affect others. You by learning what not to do have been influenced by your parents greatly. Many people seem to believe that teaching is synonymous to "to influence"; in a way it is, but not completely. Teaching is passing of a skill to another, like influencing, but influencing is affecting someone, whether they learn what is expected, or they learn something completely opposite. Also one can not fully evaluate the influence of a child until they have reached full maturity. Everyone knows that how one acts depends upon their age. As a matter of fact I find that it is quite possible that, while very few during puberty and shortly after, once someone's child that has grown they will at least slightly reflect their parents in more than just appearance. Of course, I understand that a child is influence by many factors; I find it hard to believe that someone could find their parent's behaviors so morally repungnant that they could not, and would never, emulate them in any way later in life. PS: I am very much so influenced by my parents. My behavior has been critically compared to my father's pubescent years, and I am more attatched to my mother than my father.
  23. My favorite Normal Type is... Snorlax. A strong, but gentle, giant who has to have an all-you-can-eat buffet everyday.
  24. Arceus would win in that fight. One of Arceus' strengths, if not it's greatest, is adaptibility. It should just be a one on one fight. For more authenticity. I firmly believe that Kanto will be in the game. If not than they would have to really improve Johto in terms of content. I felt as though the caves were empty. Most of the caves did not have a single trainer, honestly I can only think of one which had twelve relatively low level trainers. Even Victory Road was barren, except for the "surprise" visit from your Rival...
