    Haven't taken on the Elite 4 yet. I've been grinding, grinding, grinding. My team recieved a boost: Ampharos (55) Weepinbell (49) Slowbro (49) Typhlosion (55) Pigeot (50) I've been doing the bug catching contests lately. Haven't won one yet. This is mostly due to my overpowered team KO'ing everything they touch in the park lol.

    Well, I just beat Claire, and all my pokemon are at level 45. On to victory road now! Oh, and I ran into my second shiny just outside of Blackthorn. It was a shiny Geodude. I couldn't believe it, considering I caught a shiny Tauros only yesterday. I tried to catch it, but the bastard used selfdestruct .

    I'm on my way to Blackthorn city right now. More specifically, Ice Path. I just got done with the Goldenrod tower quest, and my party recieved a boost as a result: Ampharos (45) Weepinbell (42) Slowbro (42) Typhlosion (43) Pigeot (42) I haven't decided on who's going to fill my 6th spot. I'll probably go into the elite 4 with only those 5. Speaking of Elite 4. I will not challenge them until all my pokemon are at least at level 55. I'm mainly doing this in preperation for PKMN trainer Red at the end of the game. I want to do as much training as possible before silver cave. Because TBH, PKMN trainer red's party scares me. I've never seen an NPC party that strong. I heard it's the highest in any pokemon game ever.

    I got 6 badges right now. 30 hours in. I'm currently grinding my party to level 40. My team is. Slowbro (Level 40) Typhlosion (Level 40) Pigeot (Level 40) Ampharos (level 35) Weepinbell: ( Level 34) Haven't found a leaf stone yet... In other News, I CAUGHT A SHINY TAUROS!!! Sorry for the all caps but I'm pretty excited and it came way earlier than I expected. I was really tired last night so I was kind of fading in and out while doing my grinding, I had the sound on, So when I heard the shiny noise I thought "No way!" and perked up immediatly. It was in the patch of grass outside the safari zone gate and was at level 20. I tried catching it without attacking because my weakest pokemon was 15 levels above it and I was afraid of making it faint. I had my ampharos use thunder wave, but still no dice. So I switched to weepinbell and had it use vine whip which thankfully only reduced half it's HP, making it catchable. So that's what I've been up to. It's been a while since I posted here, but after catching a shiny so early in the game I just had to share with you guys lol.

    I'm so exited! I just caught my first chained shiny! It's just a bidoof but I'm still exited. Before fufilling the task of chaining forty, I failed many many times. Since catching the shiny bidoof my chaining has improved. The average chain for me before catching the shiny was 15-18 every time. After catching it I'm averaging 20-28 chained before It breaks. Did chaining get easier for you guys after getting that first one?

    omg thats so cool. Hey this is off topic but... This morning I turned on my ds. You know that sound it makes when the logo appears. Well today when I turned it on the pitch was much higher than usual. has this happened to anybody. Does anybody know what this means? Oh and its just the boot up screen that makes the weird noise, everything else sounds normal.

    huh. I wonder why they made that mistake. not enough room on the original cart for all 151 to have unique cries?

    good observation, wraith. I never really noticed that there were duplicate cries, but I checked your examples and you're right.

    This made my day. I enjoyed the red/blue remakes solely because they were full of nostalgia from when I first played them so many years ago. I hope the g/s remakes will have that same effect. It'll be nice to collect the 16 badges again, nab the red gyrados, and face red's rediculously overpowered pokemon!

    I'm definately going with chicorita. everybody seems to wet their pants over cyndiquil and toadodile. Where's the love for chickorita?

    I would have to say Darkrai. It was a tough but enjoyable battle. I caught it with a net ball!

    This isnt so much of glitch. but it is a little easter egg. Have you seen that sign in front of the safari zone in pastoria city? There is a picture of a Croagunk with a hole in its head. If you walk up to the sign so your characters face fills in the hole, a Croagunk will appear out of nowhere and eventually walk into the safari zone. How did I find this out? I was bored one day and was just doing random shit in the game. I've done it twice, but it doesn't happen every time. I don't know what the trigger is. have any of you found this out?
