  1. My favorite types... 1. Normal: A beautiful type whose powers can not overpower any other. The Normal-Type is more than just a Pokémon type, it is perfection incarnated. Why else would Arceus' base form be Normal? 2. Fire: The power to burn lies within this type. With the power to control the energy of heat it can not be matched in terms of true power. 3. Psychic: The power to use the mind to battle is something that I wish humans receive before my passing. Perhaps there is no type more pure and unadulterated than that of the Psychic whose power does not come from the elements, but from the brain.
  2. Hoenn was a very interesting place to travel, but I felt as though the extremely exciting got boring after a while. See Hoenn to me seems like it could have been better had the developers decided not to throw in several types of locations into one game. Why would it be a good idea to throw in a desert one route away from an ash covered area next to a volcano? Why was Fortree mostly in trees when another part was on the ground? Why would a city inside a dormant volcano have an entrance leading from underwater? It was also unguarded after the reports that someone had stolen a submarine. Also I felt that the amount of obstacles leading to places got really annoying. Thats like going up to a kid and showing it a lolipop and saying, "No, you can not have this!" Now I understand that that was to make people want to play the game to the end, but seriously. Off the top of my head I can think of five times (Norman's Gym, just north of Slateport when a team is blocking your way, the desert, Lavaridge Town, and Verdanturf Tunnel) when the game either said, "No, you can not go through right now." or "Ha-ha! You can not come through here, but you can have a very small look." There was even a time when it said both. Now I am not saying I did not enjoy it, I am merely saying that the guys in the meeting making this was trying to make a puzzle with the strangest pieces. As for the Pokémon I actually liked all of them. I especially liked the addition of abilities which added another element to battles. Now on a side note why would someone make thread to have a good discussion on why Hoenn was a nice region and why you and others believe that and end with the comment that it was better than Sinnoh? Does that not seem a bit strange? Now I am hearing talk about how Sinnoh is not as good as Hoenn with absolutely no explanation in a thread attempting to explain your beliefs as to why Hoenn was good along with why you believe people did not like it. I am not saying that you should go and try to explain why, I am just saying that if you are going to mention something like that at least back it up with something.
  3. My favorite Steel-Type Pokémon is... Aggron I like triceratops...
  4. My favorite Ice-Type is... Froslass When it finally released I was thoroughly happy. Finally a Ghost-Type Pokémon that could chill the soul of her opponents until their hearts are as cold as the ice that covers her body.
  5. All right, here I go... Munch Bro Squintin' the Munchlax @ Lax Incense, or Lum Berry Nature: Relaxed Ability: Thick Fat EV: 120 HP/152 Atk/170 Def/68 Sp. Def -Curse <-- "Crew" member... Of course he has Curse. -Body Slam <-- After coming to terms with his weight he decided to use it. -Rest <-- He gets tired, he is a Munchlax after all. -Brick Break <-- He is actually very proficient at breaking bricks and no one knows why... Squintin' is essentially a Munching Curse, or Curselax Mini. Now instead of Leftovers he uses either a Lax Incense, he likes the smell, or a Lum Berry to heal off the Sleep when he uses Rest. Brick Break is to get rid of those pesky Rock-Types who resist Body Slam, and incase the opponent uses Reflect or Light Screen. Munch Bro Alert the Munchlax @ Leftovers Nature: Sassy Ability: Thick Fat EV: 130 HP/180 Atk/140 Def/60 Sp. Def -Charm <-- He puts the Charm on his enemies with his bug eyes. -Amnesia <-- Sometimes he likes to forget how he is the smartest. -Outrage <-- He gets angry... Really... Really angry... -Earthquake <-- His anger creates Earthquakes... I am not kidding... One of his ancestors made the Grand Canyon... This set is actually pretty screwed up and I like to think that he just gets angry often. The Snore the Snorlax @ Leftovers Ability: Thick Fat Nature: Impish EV: 168 HP/120 Def/220 SpD Moves: -Rest <-- I believe not havin' Rest on a Snorlax is blasphemy... -Snore <-- He snores... a lot. -Curse <-- He's part of a "crew"... -Yawn <-- He gets tired... And he constantly needs oxygen to get to his brain... The Snore likes to sleep... And even though he is the last resort of the team, he is not always ready for a fight. And that is The Lax Crew... But is there more? The Lax Crew rules! But who rules The Lax Crew? More details... later...
  6. You are right! What was I thinking? I should have caught a Psyduck or Poliwag in case the unlikely event of a shiny bomb Pokémon appearing. Honestly me using the Master Ball was not much of a sudden move; I thought it through and decided that my FireRed was just not worth it. After transferring it to my Diamond I restarted it. On a side note, I realized that no matter how hard I try the level difference from Giovanni to the Champion is way too great... But always fun to look at the game and say, "How could you lose to me?"
  7. Q: Can the Generations interact with each other? A: The 1st and 2nd Generation games may communicate with each other, but the 3rd Generation can not communicate with either. Q: Were there Effort Values in the 1st and 2nd Generations? A: Yes, and in fact there were no caps on the amount of Effort Values a Pokémon could get. Q: In which Generations was Missingno. in? A: He was only available in the 1st Generation. Q: How can you catch Mew in 1st Generation? A: First go to the front door of the Underground West of Lavender. Go down and before the Gambler (He can not have been battled yet) sees you go to the menu and Fly to Cerulean City. Go North of Nugget Bridge and then East. Continue until you see the trainer with a Slowpoke (As a reference, http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~jdonald/pokemon/mewglitch_files/catchmew4.gif) he will see you then you have to battle him. After beating him, go to the menu and Fly to Lavender Town. Go West and the menu will pop up. Exit it and then Mew will appear at level 7. Q: How can you catch Celebi in 2nd Generation? A: Not in a legit manner. But using a Gameshark one can use the code 91C089DA to have Kurt give a GS Ball to you. You may then enter Ilex Forest and catch Celebi, but this may only be done in Crystal. There is a glitch that can give the player Celebi, the details are in this video: Q: When the 1st Generation was remade, was Missingno. removed? A: Yes, Missingno. was removed from the game in the remakes FireRed and LeafGreen. Q: Was there ever a difference in "shiny" Pokémon in the 2nd Generation? A: Not a significant difference. Q: What Pokémon are not available in the 2nd Generation? A: All 3rd Generation Pokémon and the following: All Kanto Starters, Legendary Birds, The Fossil Pokémon, Mewtwo, and Mew. Pokémon not catchable in Gold: Ledyba, Ledyan, Phanpy, Donphan, Delibird, Skarmory, Vulpix, Ninetales, Meowth, and Persian. Pokémon not catchable in Silver: Spinarak, Ariados, Teddiursa, Ursaring, Gligar, Mantine, Mankey, Primeape, Growlithe, and Arcanine. Pokémon not catchable in Crystal: Mareep, Flaafy, Ampharos, Girafarig, Remoraid, Octillery, Vulpix, Ninetales, Mankey, and Primeape. Q: What are significant differences in Yellow when compared to Red and Blue? A: In Yellow Pikachu is the only option for the first Pokémon and follows the trainer all of the time. It also allows the player to recieve Bulbasuar, Squirtle, and Charmander. All Gyms, except Pewter's Gym, are increased in level. Q: What are significant differences in Crystal when compared to Gold and Silver? A: Crystal allows the player the option of playing a girl for the first time. A new character known as Eusine is in the game looking for Suicune. Lugia and Ho-Oh are still catchable in the game, but at level 60 and Ho-Oh can not be caught until the Legendary Beasts are caught. Some Pokémon are available earlier than before, like Growlithe and Sneasel. There are differences to the messages given through the Pokégear from trainers and also a new channel is open. Recieving the final Badge forces the player to answer a quiz and they also recieve a Dratini with Extremespeed. Q: What are significant differences in Emerald when compared to Ruby and Sapphire? A: In Emerald the trainers have greener outfits. Pokémon move when sent out of their Pokéballs. Double battles can occur with any trainers as long as the trainers see the player at the same time. Gym Leaders may be challenged more than once to Double Battles. Steven is no longer the Champion, Wallace is the Champion. As Wallace, the former Sootopolis Gym Leader, is Champion his former mentor, Juan, takes on the position as Gym Leader. The player may choose to take a Johto starter from Professor Birch after they complete the Hoenn Pokédex. A Battle Frontier is added after the player beats the game. The Battle Frontier is a large island that consists of seven facilities with different rules; the facilities are as follows: Battle Factory, Battle Dome, Battle Pike, Battle Arena, Battle Castle, Battle Pyramid, and Battle Tower. There you go. As I think of more I will be glad to help.
  8. My first shiny was a... Female Weezing in Fire Red. I got overexcited, and my game at that point was horrible, so I used a Master Ball to catch it. I also realized that it probably would have Selfdestructed...
  9. Nice design, The Fallen. Very well done, and relevant to the craze that is going on. What I am afraid of is that the release date for Heart Gold and Soul Silver is so far off that this design will be discarded as the new movie comes, which is sooner than the games. Of course it is not my place to question, just accept and appreciate.
  10. Could you please make one with Ho-Oh surrounded in flames, as if it were using Sacred Fire, with my name "PokeDaemon" in it? Thank You.
  11. I must say that you must have been very bored when doing this... Although I must that the team is too weak to Fire. Magikarp and Feebas' Focus Sashes won't work if you switch them into an attack, so that may be a problem in the event that your opponent decides to try Ho-Oh on you. I'm seein' that this team will be tough against the overconfident enemies. 10/10 for originality. But it may take a bit long to win...
  12. Batteries run out of energy eventually, but they would probably run for a while. Technically that would solve the problem, but only for as long as the battery works. My Silver still works perfectly since the many years that I bought it.
  13. My favorite Legendary Pocket Monster is... Ho-Oh Majestic and colorful, it's power to regenerate life into others makes it monster of heavy destruction and beautiful rebirth.
  14. Realistically, HG/SS probably won't have very many new additions in terms of something that most people just used to tell time. There are somethings that I may miss, like the Counter App so that I can track EV's, or the Snorlax Cooking Timer App (For reasons I don't feel the need to be discussed, Lax?), even the Kecleon Color Changer is fun to mess with. Other Apps would include the Day-Care App and the Tracking Map App, Lax? It's possible, if a TV were implemented, for those Apps to continue; the Day-Care App would actually be a live stream for example. Or the Tracking Map App would a reporter reporting the location of a rare Pocket Monster, or the Beasts, Lax?
  15. That's not a Pokétch that is a Pokégear. A Pokégear is essentially a radio-enabled phone in the Johto region, Lax? For convenience, Gold kept it on his wrist (It also appeared to have the ability to send a live stream of the person on the other line in the anime.), Lax? The Pokégear is Johto's Pokétch, and, for the sake of just adding in other things, the Pokénav is Hoenn's Pokétch, Lax?
  16. Actually they would have to change one thin', and that is that the Gyarados in the Lake of Rage were evolving rapidly due to the radio signal; now I'm not to sure, but Gyarados don't normally watch TV, Lax? Honestly, I don't see the practical reasons behind changing the tower, but I can see that as a nice feature. Anyway, to the topic at hand. Well, the TV could be used to regularly communicate with the more important members, but that may mean voice acting in a game... Would, or even could, Nintendo dare put voice acting into a game, Hey?
  17. That is understandable, but, in a contest of power versus each other, the Hoenn starters would probably come out on top, Lax? Let me put it this way, if you train to the best of your ability a Meganium and do the same with Sceptile, Sceptile would probably win the battle, Lax? The Johto starters, albiet cute, were not as competitively strong as the Hoenn starters, especially Swampert, Lax? Munch Bro Squintin': ... Ya know what? Forget this... I'm goin' tuh bed, Squint? Munch Bro Alert: The Lax, I must contradict you. See whilst Sceptile may be stronger in terms of Attack, Meganium can heal and is better in Defense. The battle could be unpredictable, Hey? The Snore: ...No. Alert, as usual you fail to see that the boss is right... *snore*... and that Sceptile is cooler any... *snore*... way, Snore? How cool somethin' is does not matter, what matters is that Sceptile and Meganium have their pros and cons, and as such both should be addressed when attemptin' to assess which is better, Lax? And Alert you do have a point, but Sceptile has Leech Seed on it's belt which both heals and damages the opponent, Lax?
  18. Where are you gettin' Portuguese? He is Puetro Rican... So the legal system is the same there as in the US (It's a US territory), Lax? And yeah... I don't understand people sometimes..., "Hey! I read online that some guy is being convicted of muder in the third degree, but he said he didn't do it so I believe him!" The human mind is a wonderful thing, Lax? Munch Bro Squintin': I second da boss' ideas, Squint?! Munch Bro Alert: Well in a way the jury system could be manipulated online, but that fear is close to irrational, Hey? The Snore: Alert, we don't wanna hear 'bout your rashes... *snore*... By the way boss I have a real pain under me... *snore*... could you look at it for me, Snore? ... That is called a bedsore... You get those when you don't move for four days straight, Lax?!
  19. I don't remember implyin' that Grass resisted Ice, but I suppose it's possible that I might have unintentionally. Yeah it does go down, but it can fight back. Munch Bro Squintin': How dare ya say dat the boss said somethin' like dat, Squint?! Munch Bro Alert: It was a simple misunderstanding and the boss already admitted that it may have been his fault, Hey? The Snore: Shut it! How dare you say that da boss said something like dat!? The boss is never wrong! Even if he says the sky is a deep green he is right! So shut it Alert, Snore?! ... Why don't you ever get excited over other things like a Munchlax bein' smarter than you, Lax? The Snore: ...*snore*...
  20. Mamoswine is my pick for favorite Ground-Type Pocket Monster. It looks like a Pokémon I would want to ride and it's Ice-Type makes it's weakness to the Grass-Type not as harsh. Munch Bro Squintin': Huh... that guy looks p-pretty tough, Squint? Munch Bro Alert: He is actually quite docile, but surprising it would not be a smart idea, Hey? The Snore: What... *snore*... ever! That thing is a wimp any... *snore* way, Snore? You call livin' in ice for ten thousand years wimpy? You really are weak in the head, Lax?
  21. Although I love a challenge, trainer Pocket Monsters would have to be a lot stronger way too early in the game, Lax? Falkner is too strong for a first Gym Leader... And the transition from Chuck to Jasmine is way to high in terms of level especially considering that there are no obstacles between Chuck's Gym and Jasmine's except a sea which should be empty when you go back, Lax? I'm not sayin' that it would be bad for a challenge it would just be insane, because you would either be way over leveled for Chuck, or way under leveled for Jasmine (And considerin' that her Gym is pretty hard without a Fire-Type Pokemon the level increase is made that much more unnecessary), Lax? Munch Bro Squintin': Boss! Are ya complainin' 'bout a challenge, Squint? Munch Bro Alert: I believe he is saying that the challenge for the younger players would be too great, and to be honest it would be, Hey? The Snore: The kids can go... *snore*... *mumble*... and then *mumble*... *snore*..., Snore? And the boss is alwa... *snore*... for a challenge, Snore?
  22. That'd be cool for a second try at the Plateau like in Leaf Green and Fire Red when the Elite Four got stronger Pokemon and from a different region. But I feel that the Gyms should be left unadulterated, Lax? Munch Bro Squintin': Unadult my rating, Squint? Munch Bro Alert: I believe he means to be without corruption, Hey? The Snore: Alert, you're a... *snore*... *snore*... dumbo, Snore? This crew needs an Alakazam, Lax?
  23. Actually Misdreavus is not catchable until later than Murkrow so both'll be uncatchable until Kanto, Lax? Allowin' trainers to evolve past Johto evolution sounds pretty good once they're past the Indigo Plateau, Lax? Munch Bro Squintin': Yeah, that could make 'em useful, Squint? Munch Bro Alert: But that may ruin the Johto remake experience, Hey? The Snore: Nah, Alert you're a ignormous, Snore? First off... It's ignoramus... second... congrats you made it through without sleeping... And third, he has a vaild point, Lax? The Snore: *Snore*... *snore*...
  24. What did ya feel wasn't too good? Did ya feel that the story lacked reality? Or was it that the story just was a complete failure? I felt it was a definite improvment from the original Diamond and Pearl, Lax? Munch Bro Squintin': Uh... I gots nothin' boss, Squint? Munch Bro Alert: You did say it all boss, Hey? The Snore: *Snore*..., Snore?
  25. I was seein' it and thought that it was a sick, cruel, and unsual joke by someone, but when I saw the evidence that it would be announced on Sunday Pokemon I became a bit happier... 'Till it was official and I recieved a slight buzz, Lax? But it disappeared, Lax? 'Till I have it in my hands I can't say I will be fully satisfied, Lax? Munch Bro Squintin': It'll be good for racruitin', Squint? Munch Bro Alert: I felt excited as did everyone else that ever played Pokemon, Hey? The Snore: Yeah, and wit the forum in a state of... *snore*... exciteness we can take... *snore*... over, Snore?
