Hey everyone, I'm new to hacking, and by new, I mean I have absolutely no idea what the hell I'm doing. All I know is that I have an idea for a hack, and it's REALLY awesome. However, I have run into several setbacks so far, primarily, I have absolutely no clue what anything is. I already have an emulator and a White version ROM, but I don't know how to edit it. So, what tools should I use for this? I need a tools for changing trainer sprites, overworld sprites, dialogue, evolution methods, adding Pokemon, editing the mart, and anything you can think of that I missed. So, if any of you could give me some advice on tools and how to use them, I'd really appreciate it, and I plan to keep you all updated on hack progress once I begin! -

hey guys just comin to you with another problem sorry to impose but is there any way i can get a cheat on pokemon battle revlotion to alwo me to veiw the secert id ppid and ivs of the pokemon stored in the box on battle revlotion i need to rebuild my pokemon on pokesav do to my pearl version geting erased and battle revlotion being the only back ups i have of them please help would be much apprectated thank you :redface: -

Hi all, I am a IT student and I am currently trying to reverse engineer the inner working of the Gen IV Distribution ROM. I already figured out the basics but... Right now, I am facing an issue with the way data is encrypted. I already know of tools such as WC4PCD or PokeGen, PokeHex... but I am trying to understand and create my own program to decrypt and reencrypt all by myself. So I am asking if any one here as any leads or straight up know what encryption algorithm is used. I obviously did some research but no luck yet. (Chat GPT told me to XOR the file but idk what key to use). Thanks in advance, and my apologies if I made any english mistake

Hi! some time ago my 3ds cannot turn on anymore (motherboard is dead) and i cannot back up in time my saves o data from my nand. So I was recently shiny hunting and on a small 3DS screen and it would be pretty hard to tell if a Pokemon was shiny if I wasn't paying attention to the shiny sparkle. This got me thinking, right now in Pokemon Legends Arceus, if you encounter a pokemon, during battle there will be the shiny mark next to it's name, and it's extremely useful for those Pokemon that have a very subtle change. So my question is, is there a mod/hack for any of the 3DS era of Pokemon games that adds the shiny mark to the Pokemon's HP bar like Pokemon Legends Arceus? Or is there a way that I can go in and add it? I'm a software engineer so I could add something in, but I've never had experience messing with the code in a pokemon game.

Hey! This is a small project a friend of mine and I started in order to bring PMD:EoS to our native language! As you might know, the situation for portuguese fans of Nintendo's work is very bad, specially worse on Brazil. Besides not getting ANY translation support from Nintendo's games, here in Brazil they straight up didn't even existed until recently: everything was imported - thus out of reach to most families. Besides maybe the wii and SNES, I don't think anything else from them is popular around here (of course, I mean on physical form. Emulators are famous, obviously). Anyhow, by February 6th 2021, we've translated the first chapter, the personality quiz fully, and working on menus and chapters 2 and 3. We plan on putting on a demo out soon! Hello, I wanted to load my Pokemon Bloody Platinum save file through PKHex, but whenever I attempt to open it, the following message is displayed: Attempted to load an unsupported file type/size. This could be caused by loading a different generation Pokemon file on an unsupported generation or your file is corrupt. I've seen a few posts of people requesting hacked Pokemon. I can see that they're not very successful/popular going by the lack of comments. Is it frowned upon here? I also know that paying for hacked Pokemon makes you the biggest sucker, but... Okay hear me out; I have PKHeX and have created 72 dream Pokemon for XY/ORAS and have the files. All the details are filled out and they are all legal (except for two) and I wish to have a copy of each on both my Y game and Alpha Sapphire game. So 144 Individual Pokemon (files) in total. My problem is that I just don't have the skills to hack my own 3DS/games and not risk destroying everything. So I'm kind of stuck. I understand if begging for someone's time to provide all these Pokemon is discouraged. Just let me know and I'll shut up about it. Lest...? If there is someone out there with nothing better to do, or if someone knows of someone who can get me my dream team, I would be incredibly grateful. XD XDScript : A scripting language for Pokemon XD:GoD

I have created a new scripting language for Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. This will make editing scripts much easier and far more intuitive than before. So far only the decompiler is done which converts the raw binary data into human readable .xds scripts. It's quite a big project on it's own so I felt it needed a thread to collect input and document its progress. For now I have dumped every script in the game and uploaded them here: Pokemon XD .xds files A syntax highlighting scheme and a colour scheme for the Sublime Text 3 text editor developed just for .xds files are also included. There are still a lot of undocumented classes and functions in XD's script engine which have just been given default names for now. If you notice any patterns and think you've figured out what a function does then please let me know. Major thanks to @Tux for originally disassembling the scripts in XD. Firstly, I hope this is the right thread. I'm studying software development in school, and I want to get into ROM hacking. Eventually I'd like to make a full hack, but I figured I'd try to walk before I run. I want to try adding areas like hidden grottos to HGSS, then maybe work my way up to an oasis/hidden town of sorts. Does anyone know if this is possible? Can I use SDSME to make it happen, or am I going to have to get creative? I've tried to find info online and in these forums but can't find anything for gen4. It looks like AdvancedMap can be used for GBA title, which I COULD do, but Heart Gold is my favorite title. That's why I want to start there.

Hey there, I gotta quick question Will it be possible to transfer Generation 2 Pokemon to Sun & Moon BEFORE the Virtual Console releases? I say this because I play Gold on a rom and want to transfer the Pokemon to Sun and Moon before the 22nd of September (because waiting nearly 4 months for a VC game is absurd) It would be so cool if PKHeX could implement it before the VC release!

The pokemon games started to feel VERY easy some years ago and i always looked for roms hack that made the game way more difficult and challenging to enjoy the game, but now im working on my own little project and modding some pokemons that needed a change for the greater good. A few examples: Mega-Absol instead of wasting those 40 points on special attack i placed them on Sp.Def. and still thinking if i should change the types to Dark/Psy or Dark/Fairy Gyarados is Water/Dragon on both normal and mega forms Ditto has the same stats of Mew Arceus was my favorite to mod since it was so TERRIBLY done!! He is the god of all pokemons, so i gave him the best stats of every pokemon + a little more: HP 255, Atk 200, Def 230, Sp.Atk. 200, Sp.Def.230, Speed 200 Etc... As for the Kahunas and Trial Captains, now they have 5+ levels for all their pokemons and full team of 6 pokemons with perfect ivs and evs in the right stats along with strategies with items and moves combined and gave them a few healing items to use, also made Hau a decent rival and im still trying to see how to mod the totem pokemons. Hala's first battle team now is: Machop, Makuhita, Crabrawler, Stufful, Poliwhirl & Jangmo-o (Next time you fight him, all the team is fully evolved ofc) In the future i would like to be able to add a "Legendary Pokemon Master" like some kind of alternative final boss in the game. (No story, just an epic battle) Im using Pokemon Moon and Pk3ds
