I know that if xor=0 pokemon can be square shiny. But I cna't find how to make sq shiny jirachi pk3 with pkhex. It's hard to match legit pid I tired Rng reporter to find pid but channel part doesn't match and pkhex database doesn't give shiny one. Is there any way to find legit square shiny jirachi pid? or get legit sq jirachi pk3?

I DON'T KNOW ENGLISH SO HELP ME WITH GOOGLE TRANSLATOR Hello I have the following problem when I want to legalize the pokemon as if I had captured them in Pokemon Shield. The only way it shows me to legalize is that they have been born from an egg, but I want to legalize them as if I had captured them on the routes. Any solution?

Below is my current seed for a perfect shiny Ralts T^T I checked the raid list and it confirms that my next encounter must be a shiny!! But when I entered the Max Raid, Ralts wasn't shiny Am I doing something wrong? Thank you to everyone who replies. IF YOU KNOW AN ADMIN OR EXPERT, please feel free to tag them Edit 1: IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION that for Dentype Common, the Shinys still appear. But when Dentype is Rare, they don't.... maybe that's a bug or there's something that I'm missing.... Edit 2: One more thing. I have only cleared the first gym. Read somewhere that the number of rarity stars for dens goes up when you get more badges. That COULD potentially be the reason.... like, maybe I'm not yet qualified for 2-5 star dens so the shiny seeds won't work when I try to make a shiny rare den (which is 2-5 stars) p.s: DANG IT I KEEP EDITING

A pokemon is shiny in gens 3-5 iff: ((PID >> 16) ^ (PID & 0xFFFF) ^ TID ^ SID) < 8 And for gens 6+ iff: ((PID >> 16) ^ (PID & 0xFFFF) ^ TID ^ SID) < 16 Since shinyness (or lack thereof) is retained from gen 5 to gen 6, I assumed that the games use the old formula for pokemon originating from older games. However, just to test it, I made a .pk3 with TID = SID = 0 and PID = 0xF. In gen 3-5 this should be non-shiny but in gens 6+ it should be shiny (had it originated from those gens). But when I converted the .pk3 to .pk6 the PID was automatically changed from 0x0000000F to 0x8000000F. This has it retain its non-shinyness but at the cost of changing its PID. This behavior is supposed to model what happens in bank, right? Does that mean bank actually modifies PIDs across gen 5-gen 6? Is there a formula for this? Does it just reroll until it gets a valid PID?

I have a Tyranitar in which was caught at Mt. Silver Cave as a lvl 45 Pupitar in HG. When I transferred it to Gen 5, it is marked illegal even though it was counted legal on HG and Platinum when I traded to it there. Please help me, it is twisting by brain

Hi people, (sorry for bad english) I have this problem when I try to reroll PID on this shiny celebi (event from the movie 2020). I tried to reroll a lot but I get this error everytime, what I'm doing wrong? (I can change without problems: EC, OT by language of the event, date, etc). I'm using the PKHEX's MG database and I think that it doesn't have fixed PID (like the Shiny Zeraora). I've tried rerolling with normal shiny and on square shiny

I'm reopening the Colosseum discussion about the RNG that never seems to end! In short, PkHex is returning an illegal flag on my Espeon/Umbreon (Unable to match encounter conditions to a possible RNG frame) because I altered the TID/SID on them to match my trainer (I'm one of those who uses the same TID/SID for every game). After a little research, looks like this is because I changed my TID/SID AFTER starting the new game save, which of course would have been inconsistent with the PRNG from when I started the save file and whatever TID/SID and Espeon/Umbreon I generated upon startup. Here is what I care about and don't care about for my Espeon/Umbreon's legality: I DON'T care about: IVs, Nature, Shinyness, Ability, Gender, basically anything that isn't TID/SID. We Gen VIII now, the world of mints and ability capsules and hyper training and all that shtuff. My Espeon and Umbreon can look like literally whatever within the following parameters: I DO care about: TID/SID/PID matching. My TID is 00008 and my SID is 00000, and despite my best efforts I cannot come up with a PID that marks the Esp/Umb as legal. To fix this, I have tried various strategies from this site and others, and seem to always come up short with generating the right PIDs for Esp/Umb. Most tools available are designed to help generate shinies, but as stated above this isn't important to me. I now have two questions. 1. Is it possible that the PRNG doesn't produce all theoretically possible TID/SID combinations? is 00008/00000 unobtainable given Colo's coding? I was able to generate PIDs for both TID00008 and SID00000, so those are both possible, I just haven't been able to get them together 2. Please help??

First of all, this is my first time asking on this site I think, so if I created this topic in the wrong place or I broke the rules on accident, sorry in advance! But I have something to ask that intrigues me. On the start of playing Pokémon Moon, when Pokémon Bank was made compatible with Gen 7 years ago, I sent a lot of shiny legendary Pokémon from Gen 4, made them appear as shiny with an emulator, then resetting their encounters with another code a ton of times to encounter them infinitely, and sent from R4 to real cartridge to be transfered. Doing this, the PKHex program recognizes the PID of these mons as invalid on the shininess, as it would be expected. One of these Pokémon was Shaymin. From those days of giving shiny legendaries, now only 2 shiny Shaymin remain with me. Checking PKHex on my Moon save now, however, I found something a bit astonishing: one of the Shaymin's PID matched its supposedly fake shininess. All was legal, the program said... I know if you add shiny with the program on Gen 3 and 4 mons, the PID will not match no matter how you roll it unless you use an advance PID separated program ...that means that one Shaymin I encountered was actually a legit, full odds shiny? I'm legit curious and that would be awesome. Also, on a side note, I no longer do those types of things with emulators anymore. In fact I hope to reset for my first shiny legendary Pokémon soon! Anyway, cheers, I hope someone could answer me!

I was looking through the event database on PkHex and saw there was an event kangaskhan from an egg that had the move wish. I understand that wish is only available from this event, and have a loose understanding of how PIDs work in gen 3. I tried PokeFinder but whatever i tried showed up as invalid when i tried editing the pkm on PkHex. I'm trying to get any defensive nature (impish, bold, careful, calm) with the best spread of IVs, atk and spa being the least important. Any sort of help in finding the right PID or helping me understand what I should be doing would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, With the new PKHex update I noticed a ton of my GEN 3-5 mons have some errors "Invalid: Encounter Type PID mismatch" and "Invalid: Can't have ball for encounter type. I've tried the latter with different Pokeballs and it still wont work, and I have read about using RNG Reporter and I downloaded it but I have no idea what to do with it, can anyone please explain how to fix my mons? I have like a hundred or so that need fixing. Also, will PKHex be adding the gen 3-5 algorithm?

1) Are Gen3,4 and 5 PID's randomly chosen from RNG Reporter's pool of PIDs/natures etc.? 2) Is Gen3/4/5 (more importantly Gen5 Mystery Gift Pokemon) Generation automatic (just click reroll) given they are from Gen3-5? 3) Is there a list of pokemon classified as "mystery gift from gen5" or does that just mean all gen5 event pokemon? 4) And lastly, for gen 4 and below, won't generating PID's for pokemon (including event pokemon) technically make them illegal because IV's are linked to nature, ability etc. Wouldn't it be more accurate to look at RNG Reporter and copy/paste the proper IV's, nature, ability, PID?

According to Gen 5 pokemon PID factors in Gender, Shininess and Ability. However, I cannot find anything for Event pokemon PID generation method. How would I properly generate a PID for Gen5 event pokemon? Would method 10/11 from PokeGen work just fine or do I need to do something else? Thank you for the information in advance.

Hello RNG'ers! Today, I have prepared a save file for those looking to RNG Japanese Emerald's Mew for me. It is a copy of the HaxAras ticket save, but with both ID numbers changed to a special set that makes the only timid 6iv flawless method 1 spread shiny after 176+ million frames. (Refer to my earlier posts and threads for my desired hex PID of 7942EF72, with TID 60510, and 31337.) Anyways, this save file is ready to catch mew when using frameskip 9/10, turbo mode, 1000%, and vblank patching (all from reddit and bond697) to speed the game up to the only flawless frame at 176,000,000+ frames, which, instead of 817 hours or 5 weeks, would, after skipping frames this way, would only take 23-24 hours to hit the frame on a fast PC. This allows Mew to be obtained. If HaxAras's save is unwanted due to cheating, just use Glitzer popping on InsaneNutter's Used Emerald Cart save to change both ID numbers before getting Mew if you abhor cheats. You can trade the Mew to an English RS with Pandora's box TID/NAME/SID/Gender manipulation to trick the name rater into allowing a legit 10 letter english Name before pal-parking without save flashing. Before I forget, on VBA-rr, audio must be off, and the frame counter script for JP Emerald must run, while in addition, the GBA bios is needed for timing accuracy and legitimacy purposes. The desired frame to jump to is frame 176,562,489, which has this PID. You can refer to my first and second threads for the info on these facts, and you can get more info from HaxAras, Ammako, BlackNight(???), suloko, SciresM (possibly), the_Slayer, trigger_death (for GBA RNG info,), and my theories/observations in the connected posts. r/pokemonrng on reddit may help. My earlier wish for an RNG'd 3GPKM is renewed, due to the info found on reddit which, with the battle video method, significantly makes this more doable on console after using an emulator to store the frame counter in the battle video using that namesake glitch on reddit, which allows you to hit the frame on console after save flashing to a JP emerald. This allows shiny 6iv flawless "event ID" method 1 pokemon to be legitimately caught on console with assistance from a wii with fix94's save dumper tool. With school, I have little chance or explanation to waste 24 hours waiting for mew on rng, so I leave the process of procuring shiny event legends with longer names to those in need. Interestingly enough, the Hadou mew can be made using these 2 id numbers into a fan event, which is nicknamed to 10 letters, because the word "Hadou" is 5 characters or less in Romaji and Japanese. This means a hybrid JP event mew is makeable by RNG users due to GEN 3 oversights. Have fun RNGing!

Does anyone have the static PID of Ash-Greninja from an English-UK version of the game? I think I may have re-rolled mine by accident and want to change it back :3 Thankyou!

I've been to many 'specific site' and they all require a Friend Code which I can't do due to the lack of 3DS and NDS Servers shutting down. I came hoping to finally get what I needed. It seems difficult and I hope someone can do it. If not, a simple explanation for the issue would suffice. Thank you.

Hey folks, I'm doing some research on the Mersenne Twister RNG in Heartgold which is used for generating the PIDs of eggs. I'm just doing it to understand the logic which is used here. Right now I'm stuck with this look-up table thing. I read that about 600 numbers are generated by the twister and that there's an address for the frame counter, but where are the values stored? I tried getting a Pokémon from the daycare and compare it's PID with the number I generated externally with the given initial seed and got a match, but I don't understand where this and the next values come from in the games. The value at the address of the initial seed changes to something else after an egg is generated. Also chanigng the initial seed on game start doesn't change the outcome, so it must be stored previously, only question is where?

Sorry if these were asked before, but I've looked around, and I've found a few contradicting answers. (IE: PID is is only linked to the nature, then someone says it's linked to the ability, and then I get confused) Running PokeGen 3.0b17, in case it matters. --- I've looked around, and in Gen V, the PID is only linked to the Ability for a normal (so not hatched, but caught in the wild) Pokemon, right? I realize that the Gen V PID finding method isn't incorporated into PokeGen yet, so could someone please confirm that this method is usable/correct? 1) Select Pokemon (In this case, Herdier) 2) Generate a Gen IV PID (For Herdier, I got: 1045125028. When generating the IV PID, the ability was already set to Intimidate) Converting the PID I got to Hex, I'd get: 3E4B57A4 Now, taking the first four numbers/letters, I get 3E4B. The last number is B. After converting the B to decimal, I get 11, so it's odd. ...I actually don't know what to do from here. I read somewhere that an odd number is ability one, so based on that and that Intimidate is already Herdier's ability one, does this mean that the PID is accurate? --- Are Gen V's Eggs' PIDs also only linked only to Ability? If so, could I just use the same method as I did above to determine is PID, then edit everything else freely? --- For creating an already hatched Pokemon, in the "Met" tab, what level should it be set to? Also, just to confirm, the "Location" should be "Day-Care Couple", right? Is there anything else I need to do when created a hatched Poke? (Checking "As Egg", setting hatch conditions, etc. I'm pretty sure I have to, but I kinda want to confirm it.) And one last thing: When making Pokes with Dream World Abilities, does the PID still matter? I mean, if the PID matches for Ability one, then I go to the Misc tab to set 0x42 = 01 for the Dream World Ability, would it still be legitimate? Is it the same for Pokemon bred with Dream World Abilities?

Hello, just wanted to know if Suicune to find the combat and with him is when you generate the PID (different for each soft reset) or to go and remains static at its release of the Burnt Tower. Thank you.

Thank you. Hola, simplemente quería saber si al encontrar al suicune y combatir con él es cuando se genera el PID (diferente para cada soft reset) o se elige y se queda estático al haberlo liberado de la torre quemada. Gracias.

Theres no option in the PID/IV Generator that tells you what TID/SID works when you get a PID. I thought there would be something similar to the amount of results they would tell you in most options which u can type that number for that amount of results. Since there is'nt one how could I test what IDS work for a legal pair of PID?

Is it legal for a roaming pokemon, IE mesprit, to have a Non-Event PID? I'm not sure since they ARE encountered in the wild, and not in stationary events, however they are not like other wild pokemon.

Well I was trying to create a team of Pokemon and I just wasn't getting what I wanted from Pokesav PID Generator or the other command line one that has been recommended. So I wrote one of my own in C#. I find it easier to use then the others. I made it so you can set a max gender value (just in case you want to specify your gender). Next you can specify if you want the first or second ability or if it doesn't matter to you. Next you can pick the Nature you are looking for. Then you can opt to search for particular IV's. At the moment I have programmed it to search for the IVs you selected or higher. I know this isn't always optimal, but I will update that eventually. I plan to have it able to choose to search for equal to your value, equal or better, and equal or worse. It also currently lacks the ability to search for Shiny Pokemon. I do know how to implement this I just wanted to get the immediate functionality working the way I wanted it. The columns can be selected to have it sort by descending or ascending of that value. Note: This program is still in the beta, if not alpha, stages. While I have compared it against the other PID generators and the examples provided on Smogon it is possible it might miscalculate something I haven't forseen. Warning: When generating PIDs it can take a while to get a complete sample of PIDs. You can always stop it and then look through what was already generated. Just so you can understand it will generate every single Pokemon possible searching for one to meet your specifications which is approximately 2^32 which comes out to a bit over 4.2 million Pokemon. That is such a sheer amount that it will take a while to complete search for anyone's computer. Please send me any errors that you may come across so I may correct them. PID_Generator.zip
