  1. The randomiser functionality has been incorporated into Gale of Darkness Tool. This makes it easier to make small tweaks after randomising (e.g. making sure the starters are viable) and to apply patches such as the physical/special split. Available here -> Gale of Darkness Tool
  2. I'm reopening the Colosseum discussion about the RNG that never seems to end! In short, PkHex is returning an illegal flag on my Espeon/Umbreon (Unable to match encounter conditions to a possible RNG frame) because I altered the TID/SID on them to match my trainer (I'm one of those who uses the same TID/SID for every game). After a little research, looks like this is because I changed my TID/SID AFTER starting the new game save, which of course would have been inconsistent with the PRNG from when I started the save file and whatever TID/SID and Espeon/Umbreon I generated upon startup. Here is what I care about and don't care about for my Espeon/Umbreon's legality: I DON'T care about: IVs, Nature, Shinyness, Ability, Gender, basically anything that isn't TID/SID. We Gen VIII now, the world of mints and ability capsules and hyper training and all that shtuff. My Espeon and Umbreon can look like literally whatever within the following parameters: I DO care about: TID/SID/PID matching. My TID is 00008 and my SID is 00000, and despite my best efforts I cannot come up with a PID that marks the Esp/Umb as legal. To fix this, I have tried various strategies from this site and others, and seem to always come up short with generating the right PIDs for Esp/Umb. Most tools available are designed to help generate shinies, but as stated above this isn't important to me. I now have two questions. 1. Is it possible that the PRNG doesn't produce all theoretically possible TID/SID combinations? is 00008/00000 unobtainable given Colo's coding? I was able to generate PIDs for both TID00008 and SID00000, so those are both possible, I just haven't been able to get them together 2. Please help??

I started it long ago before I knew much about hacking so it's not drastically different but it does contain a few new moves, all new trainer and shadow pokemon and new TMs. I don't have plans to work on colosseum for a while but I thought I'd release what I'd done for anyone who may be interested. I've played through most of it a few times myself and it should be pretty stable. It's called Pokemon Mausoleum. Pokemon Mausoleum Patch.zip P.S. I deleted all the battle mode trainers to save space so you can only play these on Story Mode. Credits --------------------------------------- @Tiddlywinks @psy_commando These two helped a lot in terms of researching various elements of colosseum so it feels appropriate to at least give some credit.
  5. Welcome to two more of my hacks, done with StarsMmd's tools. This time I remixed Pokémon Colosseum and XD with changes accross the board. This is based on a idea from a friend that wanted to make a hack for Leaf Green but had technical issues. Features -Changes to all Pokémon. Typing, abilities and stats are changed to something that is thematically better or help the Pokémon. -Every Pokemon has one ability. -Moves rebalanced. Almost every move is now useful and serves at least a niche. -Different Shadow Pokémon, making enphasis in the ones with most changes. -All trainers are changed, specially bosses. Bosses on XD only have one Shadow Pokémon. Screenshots Download Pokémon Colosseum ReduX Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness ReduX The most noticeable changes Known bugs: -The Eldes fight is bugged. He clones his Shadow Pokémon. -CD Battles will probably not work well because of all the changes. Check out my other hack:

  8. Hay I need help badly, I've asked on discord but when I look it up on google (like some people have said to do) there are no helpful results... all I'm asking is for help with some competitive move sets for my Pokémon in gen 3, in this case emerald/colo. I need help with three move sets for Salamance for two event eggmoves and one for a normal in game eggmove, ill list them below. Moves: * iron defense * wish * hydro pump some of the most reliable sites were of no help when it came to move sets for these moves. even looking up "competitive (insert listed move here) salamance" resulted in no help at all just info for move sets for gens that are not gen 3 but had the moves in them. (granted smogon did have one for wish but not the set I thought was helpful sents I don't really use moves like protect that much) I really need help with these move sets for gen 3, if anybody can help plz respond im about to give up looking for these sets and just focus on other Pokémon….
  9. I have begun starting a project of fire red that is based off a sequel of the Pokémon colosseum. And I need a team of hackers, spriters, scripters, texters, big testers everyone. I am somewhat experienced In Some of the programs. If you’d like to know about the plot just shoot me a message. Here is my progress so far, I’ve only begun with the sprites editing.
  10. This is a collection of a few small Java programs I wrote and have been using to edit some files in Pokemon XD: GoD and I've also recently found out that some of them also work with Pokemon Channel and Colosseum files. They're mainly just more convenient than manually editing the files. Almost all of them have size limits because changing file sizes needs modifications to the game's .toc and FSYS list. GTX to TGA: Converts .gtx files to TGA images, mainly useful to find out what they are I_SF Tool: Inserts/extracts DSP files into/from XD's music FSYS files, the filenames usually begin with "stm_" SAMP Tool: The same as above, uses .samp and .sdir files to extract and insert music samples, can be used to replace sound samples for sequenced music (Colosseum) and soundeffects, Pokemon Channel contains some too LZSS Tool: Inserts/extracts files into/from .fsys files, filenames should not be changed for the insertion to work ModelTextureExtractor/Inserter: Inserts/Extracts textures from model files in the form of .tpl files, the standard offset should usually work for most battle models, the offset needs to be set to 32 for overworld models and maps and to custom ones for some battle models that have particle data before the model Insertion has two options of reducing the palette of a TPL using a palette in case it is too large, though both are quite buggy, it's mostly a last resort option Again, don't change filenames of extracted textures for the insertion to work These should also work for Pokemon Channel's .dat files and Pokemon Colosseum's models MoveTextureExtractor/Inserter: Does the same as the model one, but only works directly on FSYS files, I'm really not sure why I wrote it like this String Table Editor: Just a more convenient way of editing the String tables, just removes the need to manage offsets and so on, top right corner shows all Special characters, adding a single byte can be done with {} too XD THP Tool: Inserts/Exracts THP files from FSYS archives, the filenames usually start with "movie" Download: Here EDIT 22.03.2017: bug fixes to model texture tools
  11. Since home came, I have been recreating pokemon from my old games to pass them to the bank. The only problem I have had was when trying to recreate my colosseoum starters. I'm editing my Ultrasun save with PKHeX and RNGReporter. I don't have any access to the Colosseum save. I dont have the Gamecube/Wii modified or any transfer cable. I can only see the data that appears on the screen when I play. All is Legit. 12. Hello! I am using the Model Texture Extractor supplied by Made_S, a user of this forum. I'm trying to rip textures from all of the pokemon from pokemon colosseum. However, the default offset, 3712, does not yield any results. How would I find the correct offset without having to resort to hex editing (I suck at that... )? If anyone already knows the correct offset, please tell me! Thank you! P.S. Dolphin Emulator, when dumping and importing textures, has some select textures that cannot be changed even after dumping them and importing them.
  13. Hello everyone, I know it's probably going to take a while to get a response to this most likely but I wanted to ask a question. Is getting a shiny Nascour's Metagross or Evice's Tyranitar possible? I'm fairly certain all of the shadow pokemon can be found shiny under rare circumstances (excluding the Japanese E-reader events since they have fixed values I think), but I have to make sure first before I play through English Colosseum again and start spending a whole load of time trying to get either of these lol
  14. Hello Readers! Today in my limited time, while searching for the Wishmkr Jirachi MB file, I found inside the American Colosseum Bonus Disc ISO's "PokeDownloader.tgc" (which is a funky gcm iso), a copy of the Normal event, the Meteor prototype rom (which I know is valid due to @Bond697's screenshots of IDA Pro on the Meteor Rom), and a completely brand new distro MB file called "sample0519.bin", which, like the Meteor and Wishmaker roms, boots to white in VBA, and IS a valid GBA MB rom, as VBA will not crash. NO$GBA does the same, and reports no bugs, so I suspect we have a 2nd Prototype Jirachi Event, which could also be Ageto/Agate Celebi, or an English version of another Jirachi??? I used a program for windows cmd shell called "tgcToGCM", which is able to be found via google. Sadly, converting GCM files into TGC cannot be done yet, (perhaps it could be done with the Dolphin SDK???), so that will not be loadable without extensive AR/WIIRD codes/USBGecko Debugger Shenanigans. My last contribution is the German Ruby save file from the "pika-save" colbtl.bin package used for region changing of US Colosseum's GBA menu. It is called "RubyDe.sav", and unique to the version off geocities.ws, is a secret. In the first slot in the party, an untouched Pokemon Channel Jirachi exists. Unlike the ones we currently have, this one has a language Flag of German, which matches the Save Region. The name is not garbled (which helps rule out hax), and all checks out at first glance. By any chance could someone check it out, and add it to RoC's PC, and the Event Gallery if it is Legit? I will attach "pika-save.zip", and the 3 ".bin" files, which I request be moved to that tech forum ran by InsaneNutter. Let him release the Meteor, and tell us the details on the Unknown ".bin" file pika-sav.zip sample0519.bin client.2003_1112.bin client.bin RubyDe.sav
  15. Hello, Poison types are my favorite in Pokémon, and thanks to StarsMmd I was able to mod my favorite game to make all the Shadow Pokémon poison type. Since there aren't enough poison types, the unevolved forms received stat changes so they can still perform well. They don't evolve so they have their own role. For example, the Nidorans are fast and have great attack, while their evolutions have more balanced stats. I was still short of Shadow Pokémon so I made up new ones, like Umbreon, who is Dark/Poison since his sweat is poisonous. The hack is tested and possible to beat. Features -All the Shadow Pokémon are poison type. -The unevolved Pokémon have updated stats. They don't evolve and the stat total is the same than their last form. -"New" poison type Pokémon. -Slightly modified learnsets for few Pokémon. -Shadow Pokémon are purified faster. -Opposite teams are changed but bosses retrain the same strategies. Nobody uses poison type Pokémon except you, aside from the shadow ones. Mt. Battle and Battle Mode trainers are unchanged. -Custom banner. 16. Ok today I begin a new quest, I'm not sure if we'll finish it. According to TCRF there are 13 extra Shadow Pokemon mentionned in the unused Pokemon colosseum text ( Kecleon, Minun, Spoink, Baltoy, Castform, Psyduck, Teddiursa, Wobbuffet, Wailmer, Porygon2, Xatu, Whiscash, and Magcargo). The question is: are they still in the final games? If have a theory: there are also cut trainers in the games. Maybe they are related to them? Hope that this quest will interest you. I'm not a specialist of this games so I won't be very usefull this time.

Like Pokemon Red/Blue and Stadium 1/2/3, Pokemon Colosseum and XD have debug trainers used to test many things like New Forms of Deoxys in XD or Pokeballs in Colosseum. Pokemon they used are well ... totally WTF but that's just for debug

Like XD Colosseum had a demo which you can find in May 2004 demo disc, unlike it there is nothing really interesting to get, but hey that's always a demo we can get in hand ... The files contain the 2 starters (Umbreon/Espeon) and 2 trainers Pokemon. Thanks @BlackShark for dumping them.
  19. Looking for Colosseum Starters, Espeon(Timid)/ HP-Fighting/Takes Plenty Siesta(31HP/SPD) Umbreon(Jolly)/ HP-Psychic/Quick to temper(29ATK/SPD) I lost Memory card for game cube. Looking for same trainer ID&SID(But Don't care what numbers), Just Don't know how to reverse seed. Just looking for PK files
  20. This is something I found out just now. When a shadow Pokémon has been already purified, and it is then edited in PKHeX, it reverts back to being shadow in-game again, even if the heart gauge is set as 0 and the "Shadow" flag is unchecked. Of course, since the heart gauge is still 0, all it takes is going to Agate Village and re-purify it in there, but since I was too lazy to do that (and I'm in the middle of the story so it'd be kinda anti climatic) I tried solving it via HxD. Succeeded, so, if it's of any use, here's what I got: This is how the affected Pokémon looked when re-shadowed: *The heart gauge status is determined by these 4 bytes. As you probably know, hese values vary depending on the in-game heart gauge. These are the values of a shadow Pokémon that's ready to be purified. Here's the file, if needed: 156 - Fuji - 4DEBB64B197C.ck3 And this is the exact same Pokémon when purified: *These "purified" values seem to be the same, regardless of the species. The Pokémon used on this example is a Quilava. File: 156 - Fuji - 6FFCB64B197C.ck3 Pokémon XD seems to have some trouble as well, as any edit on this matter will have no effect in-game and trying to do it seems to cause a bug on the snagged/purified count. Haven't found out anything about it.
  21. -Not sure if posted on the right forum. Please move if necessary- So, I started a Colosseum game and as soon as I was able to save, I opened the file via PKHeX, only to find out both my Umbreon and Espeon are flagged as illegal when I couldn't possibly have edited them. About Umbreon, the program stated the typical "PID-Encounter mismatch". About Espeon, it's "Encounter conditions-RNG Frame mismatch". If needed, here are the unedited files: 196 - ESPEON - C245B6B1134E.ck3 197 - UMBREON - 0D43FC6BC225.ck3

Thanks to @Baegislash for helping me convert my German Colosseum save to NTSC, I was able to do the E-reader battles again and make save states. Here is a set of Japanese Colosseum E-reader shadow Pokemon save states. The OT name has been changed to PPorg and the TID/SID have been changed to all 0's. So you'll have to import your own data and Pokeballs if you want something outside of the standard Pokeball. You will also need to import your own Pokemon as I cleared mine.
  23. So I after finishing my Colosseum RNG abuse run, I noticed that the legendary dogs I left for the post-game (to be able to catch them with trade-only balls) are flagged as illegal. Met location for those is: Deep Colosseum (C) Agate Village (XD)
  24. I started a couple saves with different computers to find that Espeon is detected as illegal (when it was generated IG). What I checked with this, is that Umbreon's PID and IVs are generated 7 frames after the frame that corresponds to the TID/SI, but in the case of Espeon, the IV spread is generated (as I expected), 7 frames after Umbreon but the PID corresponds with the results two frames after that (according to RNG reporter after typing my initial seed there). Is this a problem of PkHeX or is it just me?
  25. Hello. I'm attempting to use my Pokemon Colosseum game save taken from my Gamecube's nintendo memory card, and transfer it to either another memory card, or onto my computer. However, I run into a snag when doing this. Utilizing GCMM, I attempted to backup the save, and restore the save onto a different memory card. When entering the game, the game save loads fine, except that I cannot save the game to that memory card, stating a message similar to "This is not the same memory card as the one associated with the game data. Please insert the correct memory card to continue saving" This happens on both the memory card, and on dolphin emulator. I even tried the following cheat on my game cube: Make Game Save Copyable [Ralf] QBG7-6X4E-UN7DU NH26-2519-VTJPM 6M8C-N29E-1Z7JW XU5Y-MH41-JCGCQ CVWN-QFAZ-UWB1B V2ZY-PM7G-8MCKZ Am I forgetting a step, or is this actually impossible to do at the moment?
