  1. I've updated it to Version 1.1 (Release 2), Thanks codemonkey for the truncation idea
  2. Hmm, odd, the only reason for this is the 23 character limit for the game name. I've got an update ready, so I'll add a readme file describing character limits. Edit: I've updated it to version 1.1, theres a fix list in my main post.
  3. Sure! I've attached a file containing what I've found  Edit: re-uploaded file with the name "DUC_Structure.txt". DUC_Structure.txt
  4. Thanks for the mirror, Ill add it to the main post :grog:
  5. Hehe, thanks again , first tool I've posted here! :grog: Regards, Matt.
  6. Hi! This program allows you to convert between *.DUC and *.SAV files, using a custom Game Name, Save Name and Save Description. Please make sure you have the .NET framework (3.5) installed!! Changes List: ARDStoSAV's Official Page Download Links: ARDStoSAV.zip
  7. Oops, forgot to look,, yup
  8. Soo, is this idea possible, or does the AR's code constraints prevent anything like it (even if the button combination etc wasn't required)?
  9. Hmmm, I'm not that experienced at Action Replay Codes but from past experience mine freezes with a simple code occasionally. However, if this plan doesn't work out (and if the user has a flash cart) in theory a custom DS program could be made that executes a script injected by the AR (one compiled to a basic numerical form), it wouldn't be able to do much though. I guess it would be a repetitive loop checking a certain memory location, if it is changed to "1" for example, it would then execute the script. (Again, remember i'm not experienced at AR codes ).
  10. <p><p><p><p><p>Happy Birthday!</p></p></p></p></p>

  11. Got to be HeartGold for me, for 2 reasons: 1) I've got plenty of Lugia's and 2) Kyogre can only be obtained in HG, and Kyogre would be a great addition to my collection (seen as I lost the one I got from sapphire).
  12. I don't fully understand the PRNG used in the Pokémon Games, but, if you were to make a copy of the PRNG, find out the seed and run it, you may get your secret ID. However, as I said, I don't understand it, perhaps someone with knowledge on the PRNG could answer your question better.
  13. Wow! This project is amazing! Imagine what small, weird-and-wonderful utilities may start popping up when the DLL is released!! Good Luck, and if you need any help, i'm alright with VB.net (need help with hex in it though), and I could help with a port (I'm kind of good with C and C++, love python and i'm fine with Pascal if needed). Oh, and, will the library handle decryption and encryption of the files automatically (e.g, integrated into a .save method) or will the math have to be carried out and applied (It's probably the former )? Anyways, I hope to see further developments in the future, coz i've got my eye on this project!! :grog:
  14. It seems that the personality values do change each encounter, so, I guess the only thing I need to know is what the "Do Not Breed!" message is for (and when it applies)?
  15. Hi Guys, Upon looking through my AR list, I noticed that the Wild Pokemon are Shiny cheat says "Do Not Breed!"? Does this only apply when using the code, or can I never breed said Pokémon? Also, does SCV's shiny encounter code have the same rules as above? If not, does anyone know how to make it work for the UK version of platinum? Thanks, Matt. Edit: 1 Final Question: Do these codes apply a preset personality value to the encountered Pokémon? Or does the encountered Pokémon still get a kind-of-unique (by Shiny Pokémon standards) Personality value? If needed, here is SCV's Shiny Encounter code:
  16. Got to be Spheal, c'mon people, ITS A SMALL ROUND SEAL!! How can you now love that? Drifloon is alright
  17. (Possible) News update! I don't know if any of you guys have heard, but, Nintendo of america have registered trademarks for HeartGold and SoulSilver, and some of the interesting parts of the trademark include web based messaging and video streaming??? For more info, see the bulbawiki news article.
  18. Hmm.. If Nintendo do decide to lose the touch screen functions, they'd have a lot of unhappy fans on their hands. The ability to save will also be better, i'm sure it'll help those who forget to save. Also, on the subject of changing the Radio Towers to TV Towers, I highly doubt they'd implement them, as they play a very important role throughout the game. They may introduce TV-like functionality, but probably won't remove anything to do with the radio.
  19. Wow, if these are only a few of the newly implemented features, imagine what the rest of the game will be like??? Woot!!!
  20. Erm... just Diamond over here , the UK still has a week left until the Platinum release. But, I pre-ordered in early March, so I'll hopefully get the figure!
  21. The only question is, how long have they had to develop the game? If it was only started this year, with a deadline only a few months away, would they have had time to implement Kanto to it's fullest? Just a thought, regards, Matt.
  22. On the DSi specific-features, I think it'll mearly (Hopefully) make use of the WPA and WPA2 support that the DSi has, if large features such as use of the camera in the game were implemented, it may cause a bit of an uproar from fans without a DSi... Also, are there any possibilities that it'll be released outside of Japan this year?? Regards, Matt.
  23. Hi! As the poster above me stated, I think you have to have beaten the Elite Four for these events to work. I'm unsure about the need of the national dex. Regards, Matt.
