We're getting plenty of new Pokemon games, with HG/SS, and the recently announced Gen 5 games. But the awesome Shadow Pokemon remain quiet. After the huge disappointment of Battle Revolution not having a plot, there has been no word of continuing the Shadow Pokemon or Orre stories. And I, for one, want more. Lots more. The Shadow Pokemon games brought a huge amount of depth to the games. The Shadow state, as it was in its refined form, brought a careful balance of utility versus hindrance. Do you keep a Shadow Pokemon to strike opponents and wall enemy Shadow Pokemon as you whittle down their HP? Or do you purify them to learn otherwise-unobtainable moves and level up/evolve? Double Battle are for more interesting than single battle, offering new strategies, rebalancing the standard tiers, and helping to remove the "favorite syndrome" that has plagued Pokemon games since Gen 1 (playing with just your starter or a single other Pokemon the entire game because you are attached to it and feel no need to switch). The limited number of Pokemon also had a nice change. The "catch-em-all" focus was still there, but limited to the Shadow Pokemon (you could import others via trade, but without the Pokedex, there was no in-game reason to do so). And the limited availibility kept you switching your team around to find the best combinations and kept you experimenting. The game also improved in other ways. The removal of HMs meant that you no longer had to waste a third of your team on moves that had zero battle applicability. The removal of Gyms meant that you got to feel as though saving the region was actually your primary objective, rather than an annoyance that was getting in the way of your trip to the Elite Four (seriously, how many Pokemon games feel like the only reason you are bothering to take out Team Rocket or their latest copycats is because the jerks won't let you leave the stupid city until you wipe them out?!). The plot was also generally improved in most sections, I felt, and I would love to see it continue. While Cipher may have actually been crushed at the end of , there still exists the means to create Shadow Pokemon, and there are still plenty of entities out there who would wish to do so. There also exist a number of Legendaries who could potentially be turned to Shadow Pokemon. Darkrai would be a natural choice (although I would actually kind of like to see Darkrai remaining a good guy among several other Shadow Legendaries, including Cresselia). Not to mention that, since the Azure Flute has yet to be released, there is still an Arceus on top of Spear Pillar. And Shadow Arceus would be one heck of a replacement for -001.

If you want to mix every Pokémon type, you've come to the right place! Presenting Pokémon Colosseum and XD: Type Mayhem, a hack that gives 540 stat total to every Pokémon and mixes every type to make combinations that are not even present in the current Pokémon games! That means that most Pokémon got new move sets, some even got a new color to match their new type! Some type matchups have been changed, and I even introduce a new typing: Dancer type! Trailer Features -New type matchups and a new type. -Every Pokémon have the same stat base total. -Rebalanced moves, types and movesets. Drill Run added (single target Ground attack). -Different Shadow Pokémon, making enphasis in the ones with most changes. -All trainers are changed, specially bosses. Bosses on XD only have one Shadow Pokémon. -Colosseum's Battle Mode has been completely changed, with trainers adapted to make use of the new type combinations. You can use a save editor to transfer Pokémon from XD to Colosseum and to make your team exactly level 50 and 100. - *.xdelta file and the software needed to path your iso. Changes You can read all the changes here. Documentation is also in the download. Here are some of the biggest ones: Known bugs: -The Eldes fight is bugged. He clones his Shadow Pokémon. -CD Battles will probably not work well because of all the changes. Check out my other hacks:-

Thanks to @Baegislash for helping me convert my German Colosseum save to NTSC, I was able to do the E-reader battles again and make save states. Here is a set of Japanese Colosseum E-reader shadow Pokemon save states. The OT name has been changed to PPorg and the TID/SID have been changed to all 0's. So you'll have to import your own data and Pokeballs if you want something outside of the standard Pokeball. You will also need to import your own Pokemon as I cleared mine. -

Hello, Poison types are my favorite in Pokémon, and thanks to StarsMmd I was able to mod my favorite game to make all the Shadow Pokémon poison type. Since there aren't enough poison types, the unevolved forms received stat changes so they can still perform well. They don't evolve so they have their own role. For example, the Nidorans are fast and have great attack, while their evolutions have more balanced stats. I was still short of Shadow Pokémon so I made up new ones, like Umbreon, who is Dark/Poison since his sweat is poisonous. The hack is tested and possible to beat. Features -All the Shadow Pokémon are poison type. -The unevolved Pokémon have updated stats. They don't evolve and the stat total is the same than their last form. -"New" poison type Pokémon, some with modified textures. -Slightly modified learnsets for few Pokémon. -Shadow Pokémon are purified faster. -Opposite teams are changed but bosses retrain the same strategies. Nobody uses poison type Pokémon except you, aside from the shadow ones. Mt. Battle and Battle Mode trainers are unchanged. -Custom title screen and banner. - *.xdelta file and the software needed to path your iso. Quick summary of changes in the Pokémon you can have Check out my other hacks: -

Like XD Colosseum had a demo which you can find in May 2004 demo disc, unlike it there is nothing really interesting to get, but hey that's always a demo we can get in hand ... The files contain the 2 starters (Umbreon/Espeon) and 2 trainers Pokemon. Thanks @BlackShark for dumping them. -

I've been attempting to wrap my head around Colosseum RNG abuse/PID editing but have been having little luck. Would anyone be willing to help me out and generate this for me? I have plans to transfer it up through later generations, so please make this legal! Please let me know if you need any other info for this request! Also, it can be sent as a .pkm file. Thank you!

Hello! I am using the Model Texture Extractor supplied by Made_S, a user of this forum. I'm trying to rip textures from all of the pokemon from pokemon colosseum. However, the default offset, 3712, does not yield any results. How would I find the correct offset without having to resort to hex editing (I suck at that... )? If anyone already knows the correct offset, please tell me! Thank you! P.S. Dolphin Emulator, when dumping and importing textures, has some select textures that cannot be changed even after dumping them and importing them.

Since home came, I have been recreating pokemon from my old games to pass them to the bank. The only problem I have had was when trying to recreate my colosseoum starters. I'm editing my Ultrasun save with PKHeX and RNGReporter. I don't have any access to the Colosseum save. I dont have the Gamecube/Wii modified or any transfer cable. I can only see the data that appears on the screen when I play. All is Legit. [Colo] How game acts in a very specific circumstance
darthnexus07 posted a topic in Saves - Research
As the title states. I am trying to locate any documentation on how Colosseum acts when, if the TID/SID of the trainer produces a female starter (In my specific case, Espeon.) Another user was able to help me re-create the save file, but was the one who presented me this issue. For the life of me, I cant fins ANY documentation anywhere on how the game handles this. I'm at a loss on how to go about this, and uncertain if this will cause problems if I were to try and migrate the Espeon into future games (if It doesn't get stopped at PokéTransporter, that is.) I am not very well versed in this kind of stuff, but am always willing to learn. If someone can take a crack at finding what the game does when it gets a female Espeon PID - I have included the recreation save file provided. There is a link above to my original forum post about getting this save file, and includes what I used to find my TID/SID. Any help on this (or better, an explanation on how to do this stuff) would be extremely appreciated! Recreation.gci -
Hey, I am looking for a way to extract the music from Pokémon Colosseum. I have already decompressed the files I need from the bgm_archive.fsys thanks to the decompressing tutorial from @StarsMmd. Reason for that is that i found a MIDI / soundfont pack with the music from COL, but it seems that some of these .mid files are a bit.... off? Most of the tracks are okay, only the time signatures seem to be wrong, but the pitch (in all songs where pitchbending was used) is more than only broken. The pitch lines are wide over the song duration, which can be sen on picture 1 and 2. The samples are okay, so I don't need them to extract. I will attach some examples for my problem and why i want to extract the music. Is there anything known how to convert / extract the MIDI files from Colosseum? Thanks in advance! ^^ (Oh, and if anyone thinks that I am new to this site and only came in for asking this: no, I had an account here already, but I can't remember my old login data, since it was more than 5 years ago when I have visited this community the last time, I think.)

Hay I need help badly, I've asked on discord but when I look it up on google (like some people have said to do) there are no helpful results... all I'm asking is for help with some competitive move sets for my Pokémon in gen 3, in this case emerald/colo. I need help with three move sets for Salamance for two event eggmoves and one for a normal in game eggmove, ill list them below. Moves: * iron defense * wish * hydro pump some of the most reliable sites were of no help when it came to move sets for these moves. even looking up "competitive (insert listed move here) salamance" resulted in no help at all just info for move sets for gens that are not gen 3 but had the moves in them. (granted smogon did have one for wish but not the set I thought was helpful sents I don't really use moves like protect that much) I really need help with these move sets for gen 3, if anybody can help plz respond im about to give up looking for these sets and just focus on other Pokémon….

I have begun starting a project of fire red that is based off a sequel of the Pokémon colosseum. And I need a team of hackers, spriters, scripters, texters, big testers everyone. I am somewhat experienced In Some of the programs. If you’d like to know about the plot just shoot me a message. Here is my progress so far, I’ve only begun with the sprites editing.

I'm reopening the Colosseum discussion about the RNG that never seems to end! In short, PkHex is returning an illegal flag on my Espeon/Umbreon (Unable to match encounter conditions to a possible RNG frame) because I altered the TID/SID on them to match my trainer (I'm one of those who uses the same TID/SID for every game). After a little research, looks like this is because I changed my TID/SID AFTER starting the new game save, which of course would have been inconsistent with the PRNG from when I started the save file and whatever TID/SID and Espeon/Umbreon I generated upon startup. Here is what I care about and don't care about for my Espeon/Umbreon's legality: I DON'T care about: IVs, Nature, Shinyness, Ability, Gender, basically anything that isn't TID/SID. We Gen VIII now, the world of mints and ability capsules and hyper training and all that shtuff. My Espeon and Umbreon can look like literally whatever within the following parameters: I DO care about: TID/SID/PID matching. My TID is 00008 and my SID is 00000, and despite my best efforts I cannot come up with a PID that marks the Esp/Umb as legal. To fix this, I have tried various strategies from this site and others, and seem to always come up short with generating the right PIDs for Esp/Umb. Most tools available are designed to help generate shinies, but as stated above this isn't important to me. I now have two questions. 1. Is it possible that the PRNG doesn't produce all theoretically possible TID/SID combinations? is 00008/00000 unobtainable given Colo's coding? I was able to generate PIDs for both TID00008 and SID00000, so those are both possible, I just haven't been able to get them together 2. Please help??

I am playing Ruby on VBA-M and I really want "legit" Wishmaker Jirachi (Salac Berry), Channel Jirachi (Ganlon Berry) and Ageto Celebi (Agate Celebi would be even better: https://tcrf.net/Pok%C3%A9mon_Colosseum#Japanese_Bonus_Disc) in my save. Berries can be other way around ofc. So I am looking for someone who I can send my .sav file to so he can transfer those 3 Pokemon to the original GBA game and then trade them with my save using GBA flashcart. Another option is to dump the save file from original GBA game after transfering and then I can trade using VBA Link. Is there anyone here kind enough to do this? This could be useful: http://digiex.net/downloads/download-center-2-0/consoles-homebrew/1934-gamecube-pokemon-colosseum-japanese-bonus-disc-download-ntsc-j.html http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?6586-Pokemon-Colosseum-save-file-from-%28U%29-lt-gt-%28J%29

I started it long ago before I knew much about hacking so it's not drastically different but it does contain a few new moves, all new trainer and shadow pokemon and new TMs. I don't have plans to work on colosseum for a while but I thought I'd release what I'd done for anyone who may be interested. I've played through most of it a few times myself and it should be pretty stable. It's called Pokemon Mausoleum. Pokemon Mausoleum UPS patch Use a UPS patcher to apply this patch to a clean US version of Pokemon Colosseum. P.S. I deleted all the battle mode trainers to save space so you can only play these on Story Mode. Credits --------------------------------------- @Tiddlywinks @psy_commando These two helped a lot in terms of researching various elements of colosseum so it feels appropriate to at least give some credit. **The first part of my tutorials is here if you're looking for it - -hacking-tutorial-part-1-File-decompression-recompression'>http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?46250-Stars-Pokemon-colosseum-and--hacking-tutorial-part-1-File-decompression-recompression** images: There are still a lot of things I haven't been able to figure out on my own so far. It is to be hoped, that with my knowledge of pokemon colosseum and hacking now available to more people we will see some progress. Some things on the list are things I've started to piece together but got stuck. Some things I just couldn't find at all. I. physical/special split Done II. Editing map scripts Done III. Editing textures Done IV. Editing models - Things I haven't been able to figure out at all - I. Where is the weakness/resistance table ?! Done It's been in the same format in all the other games but I can't seem to figure it out for colosseum or . II. I know where the sound files are but I don't know how to edit them. Their file names and magic bytes might give the formats away though. I just don't know much about music formats and its a low priority for me. III. ASM hacking Done The majority of it will be in start.dol. The gamecube runs on the powerPC architecture which is very well documented and in fact I have a hex editor on my mac that was able to disassemble the code for me without me needing to specify any details. My assemly programming isn't great though as I kind of missed those lectures in uni ... (damn!) Understanding the game's programming could allow all sorts of hacks like making new move effects (e.g. trick room or quiver dance), make new abilities (e.g. adaptability or mega launcher) increasing the walking speed or adding new battle mechanics from later generations like drizzle expiring or not switching in your next pokemon when one dies until the end of the turn (For those who don't know, back in gen III, in double battles if one pokemon fainted you had to replace it straight away meaning if you doubled up on a slot then you could knock out that pokemon and then hit the next pokemon switched in on the same turn). We could also change things like the chances of finding shiny pokemon (which is set to 0 in ) or the critical hit chances and damage multiplier like in gen VI. Hello everyone, I know it's probably going to take a while to get a response to this most likely but I wanted to ask a question. Is getting a shiny Nascour's Metagross or Evice's Tyranitar possible? I'm fairly certain all of the shadow pokemon can be found shiny under rare circumstances (excluding the Japanese E-reader events since they have fixed values I think), but I have to make sure first before I play through English Colosseum again and start spending a whole load of time trying to get either of these lol

So I after finishing my Colosseum RNG abuse run, I noticed that the legendary dogs I left for the post-game (to be able to catch them with trade-only balls) are flagged as illegal. Met location for those is: Deep Colosseum (C) Agate Village (XD)
-
I started a couple saves with different computers to find that Espeon is detected as illegal (when it was generated IG). What I checked with this, is that Umbreon's PID and IVs are generated 7 frames after the frame that corresponds to the TID/SI, but in the case of Espeon, the IV spread is generated (as I expected), 7 frames after Umbreon but the PID corresponds with the results two frames after that (according to RNG reporter after typing my initial seed there). Is this a problem of PkHeX or is it just me?
