so im new using pokesav and i made my first code perfectly (change my characters name to RYU :biggrin:) but, now i want to change my absol and dragonite's gender to male (they're both female) but i just cant figure out how to do it, the game crashes when i use the code given, so.....help please EDIT: btw, if this thread belongs to another section please move it

I was laughing my head off when I saw this. I'm going to control evil tiny creatures lightning bolts and kill all the other children with my witch-powers! My brother and I recently decided to create completely new teams to battle each other with in diamond/pearl. So instead of spending two weeks training pokemon we will use once or twice, the easier option seemed to be to use some kind of Gameshark-like device. So, we located an Action Replay and downloaded Pokesav to create pokemon teams but we're not sure what the parameters are exactly of the program. Usually, I'm against cheating but in this case, we will only be battling each other and not affecting anyone else. My question: what exactly will the Acton Replay code change in the game? All I did start up the program and change the first pokemon in the party and saved it as a test. Now when I put that code onto the Action Replayl and use the pearl code, will that change only my first pokemon? I don't want all of my save data to be suddenly erased. Note: I plan to manually put the code onto the action replay by typing it in because I do not have the software or the hookups for the action replay.

I would very much prefer a highly experienced Pokesav user. I don't want my game to go kablooey on me >.>. I already have Action Replay so I can put in the codes myself, I just don't trust myself to make the codes on my own since it is apparently easy to do it wrong. If there's something I didn't specify in my form, that means I don't want it/don't care, so don't worry about it. I also find it oddly fun to EV train myself, so my codes will probably be easy to make. Also, it'd be groovy if you could PM me the codes as my internet isn't stable and I don't want to lose them should this thread get buried, haha. Thanks Oh - one more thing: I plan to trade these pokemon from my Diamond to my Platinum game. I'm paranoid of horrible errors, so I bought a used copy just in case. Not sure if hacked pokes are tradeable, but I figure this is a significant thing I should mention. Its not that I don't trust your abilities, it's that all the horror stories make me wary. . Another note: I like to train my pokemon from the ground up, probably because I am OCD. Ok, I looked on these forums and there wasn't a Pokemon Shiny Egg Guide, so here it is. Firstly, find the pokemon you want a lvl 1 Shiny of. Catch a Ditto, and put it and the other Pokemon into the Day-Care. Next, you'll need a site that says when, roughly, the eggs will hatch, like http://serebii.net/pokedex-dp/ Now, save once you get 1 Number away from the egg hatch Number. Now walk forward until the egg hatches (This may be about 200 steps) When the egg hatches, don't move, and look at the number of steps. Write this down. Turn the power off, then on. Now, go to the number before that, and save. Now, walk forward, and the egg will hatch. How cool is that? Now, if it isn't shiny, soft reset (L, R, Select, Start) and keep repeating the process. This may be pointless with a terrible pokemon, but with something like a Magikarp or Feebas, it will be your saviour! Note, I do not own Serebii.net, nor do I work with them in any way.

As above, been looking for some PKM files but can't find it.

I've edited my Diamon and Pearl saves to make them have the same name, ID and SID. It's basically the same game as far as other games know. Then I use Pokemon Ranch to do the moving. But, as you know, Ranch (NA) isn't compatible with Platinum. At least not officially. Is using PokeSav my only option? (I don't have 2 working DSs. Phat is dead )

Alright. I bought the Action Replay DSi and backed up my Pokemon Platinum save. It has the extension ".duc". This apparently isn't usable in the Platinum Pokesav. So I went to the Shuny site (Save Converter site) and tried converting it to a few save files... they were opened up, but everything was completely wrong on the PokeSav application. No Pokemon, random play times, no inventory, no pokemon in my PC box, etc. It was just random mixed up stuff. Could someone please help me figure out what I should do so I can use Pokesav?
