I had recently downloaded pokesav for black and white (i play black, if that helps) and i generated 5 pokemon in box 3 (hydreigon, haxorus, vaporeon, leavanny, zoroark) and had a samurott in my party, and use the code. cheren challenges me, i accept and none listen to me. all of them except samurott had my new name as ot and yes i am aware that at the current time only pokemon up to level 50 should obey me, but they're mine? H E L P EDIT: i forgot to mention i also changed my name from White to Touko.

IF IT DOESN'T WORK TRY PUTTING IT IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY! If your card supports the argv mod it should be OK in another directory (AKAIO, CycloDS, HomebrewMenu) Homebrew menu is included in the download! SOURCE I use 7zip, get a copy here! I use it because its better and faster then winrar or zip AND FREE. It works, it loads saves, it saves saves and does all that needed checksumming. Works with: Pokemon Diamond Pokemon Pearl Pokemon Platinum Pokemon Heart Gold Pokemon Soul Silver Remember to DLDI it for your cart if it doesn't automatically. Works on: CycloDS Evolution (before v1.55 root only) Acekard 2i AKAIO EZ-Flash V (root only) Most R4 clones (root only) Does not work on: Most slot 2 carts. ( sorry -.-;; ) Currently it does: Edits trainer dataTrainer Name Rival Name TID SID Gender Money Badges [*] Edits Box & Party Pokemon Move pokemon around boxes Delete pokemon Clone pokemon Edits Pokemon Name Edits Pokemon IV & EVs Edits Pokemon Moveset (autosets PP) Edits Pokemon Ability Edits Pokemon Species Edits Pokemon EXP/Level Edits Pokemon Item Edits Pokemon Trainer Data (name, tid, sid, gender) Edits Pokemon Contest Stats [*]Edits item data Add Items Inline Add (insert) Items Delete items. Automated Item Resort Latest Version: r11 Get the latest version: Download Next in line: (in no particular order) Cutting down the item lists to what can be put in bags (r12?) Rework windowing color system (almost done (r12ish)) Basic Pokedex Editing (r12ish?) Later: Finish Pokemon Editing (r10 to r15??) Wider range of save type support Retail Cart Eeprom Loading/Editing/Saving (very very experimental right now) Mail Editing (maybe?) r10 snapshots -------------------------------------------------- PPSE-DS Goals: Edit basic trainer data. Edit basic item data. Edit basic pokemon data. Maybe Edit Pokedex entry data. Do it with style. (End Goals) PPSE-DS will not and can not ever be a complete replacement for a computer based editor, due to the DS's limited memory and processing capabilities. (notably even simple pid generation is slow) Pokemon editing should eventually have: Auto calculation of battle data for party pokemon. Ability to edit moves. Change Nickname, Species, Ability, PID, Exp, IVs, EVs, Contest stats, TID, SID, OT Name, OT Gender, met date, met location, pokemon gender, pokerus, egg location, egg date, pokeball, held item, and that is probably about it. (no ribbons, etc, sorry) Item editing should cover each of the different bag slots, (and limit it to items which could be in them?). Trainer editing, should eventually have TID, SID, Money, badges, Name, Trainer Multiplayer Avatar, gender and rival name. Thats about it. This should be more then enough for 'on-the-fly' editing. Anything you can change freely in game will probably be omitted (pokemon markings, box wallpaper, box names, signature, etc) -------------------------------------------- F.A.Q: Q: Why make a save editor for use ON the DS? A: Why not? Well okay, the real answer is that I personally wanted one, and so if I wanted one maybe other people want one too, so why not share? Q: Will you be able to edit saves on the original cartridges? A: No, unfortunately not. The main reason being that there are circumstances that prevents loading from eeprom (in most cases) in later versions of the toolkit I am using. Q: Can you make a save editor for Game XYZ? A: Probably not, unless I wanted to, I get no other reward out of making an editor then for my own use. Plus all the research that is required, Pokemon has a lot of research already done and publicly available. Most games do not. Q: So your not very 'skilled' then if you cannot do the research? A: I like to think that I am skilled and I DO do research, it just happens that I have to do substantially less since there is already research done. I like to think that I am not so much unskilled as I am lazy. Q: So what languages do you know? (okay so not a FAQ) A: Well normal languages I know English and some Japanese. Computer languages I happen to be able to read, understand, and write ASM(RAW)(x86, ARM, Thumb), C++, C, Java, BASIC(omg), Brainfuck, PHP, Perl, Lua, Python, Pascal, Fortran, and more... I mainly only work with C++,C, Java, and ASM however. But Brainfuck has a special place in my heart. [Edit by evandixon] Aaarrrrggg!!! So many dead links in the forums I moderate! So that's why I attached the *.nds file included in the package that used to be downloadable. No, I don't have the full package anymore, so if you need help, then you'll have to ask, instead of reading the readme. I don't have the HomebrewMenu.nds, so if you need it, you'll have to find that elsewhere. PPSEDS..nds

Hello all. I just recently went through a 2009 Wayback Machine web.archive.org copy of Emtu's PKMDB and PokeSav's. I did not find any PKM files from the PKMDB. I do want to note that I had a hard time deciphering the urls, so they are unsorted. From what I was able to read they were sorted by legality/legitimacy. I was not able to save all of them... &:-{ I would appreciate it if somebody checked and sorted all of these, along with maybe adding the zip to @ReignOfComputer's PC/Event Gallery. I will attach it here. Of note is that I left the original zip files untouched. I can say there is some real goodies in here, like the Nintendo Power NPOWER Pikachu, 2 sets of Shiny starters, Shiny Regigigas, Ho-oh, and Suicune, and more, so please check this. Also in the zip are 2 zip files that have genuine legends. Also, some pokemon may be events, despite the filename, as they were compiled together in keeping with their original filenames. I advise you to check these, as some may be hacked, due to being this old, and due to any disclaimers being dead and unreadable. While you are at it, please extract the German Legit CHANNEL Jirachi from this RubyDe.sav file's party so we can give the German players a CHANNEL Jirachi. The save file has not been touched since April 7, 2004. Please add that Jirachi to the event gallery, @Sabresite, or @theSLAYER. I will sign off with this: Please enjoy my newest contributions, and let me know what you think. I do spend a lot of my time digging through google and Archive.org/Geocities archives looking for Pokemon data, which I am glad to share. Since I spend time doing this, I would like your opinion on me, so I can better serve you with old Pokemon Files. Sometimes, like today's batch, only certain files were archived before the site's death, so sometimes all there is to dump off archive.org that I give might seem pitiful, but it is a treasure just to even find these, even though the GEN3 events in it are ALL Pal-parked, and therefore useless for trashbyte dumping. I wish they weren't, but I have no control over that, so please acknowledge in some way that I do contribute, even if the contributions may not measure up to fresh dumps. I do have the Manaphy Egg wondercard in BOTH formats, which also applies to the NPOWER-USA Pikachu. There is Poketopia FR pokemon in there, along with a mew, and an Aura mew in what I think is french. So I have found good stuff, but it is in need of checking by Admins. Sincerely, St. GIGA PokeSavDB & Emtu's PKM DB WaybackMachine-archived pokemon.zip RubyDe.sav

PLEASE HELP I have a 3rd generation save editor called A-Save. I have completed Pokemon FireRed and exported all of my Pokemon as .pkm files, and then imported them to my PC in Pokemon Emerald. Now, I have just completed Pokemon Emerald, and exported all of those Pokemon as .pkm files. Next, I want to play Pokemon Platinum. So I open up my Platinum Pokesav, load my .sav file, select edit under storage, select load box and it says, "ERROR Wrong file type". Now, it cant be the wrong file type because A-Save exported them as .pkm files and Pokesav Should accept .pkm files. I don't want to migrate the pokemon from emerald to platinum and risk losing them, I'd also have to beat the game first to do that. Please help. If it makes any difference, I used Visual Boy Advance for FireRed and Emerald, and I plan on using No$GBA for Platinum and SoulSilver. Thank you

if i load a pokemon into pal park and then catch it, will it look as if it were really migrated in both legal and hex?
-
When I try and load a .pkm file into Pokésav, it won't see it. I click on the extension bar to choose wich extension is needed, and I only get a brunch of gibberish. If I click on the last option, I can see every files, including the .pkm file. I try and load it, but it gives me some kind of error message with gibberish written in it.

I Don't know if this issue has been asked before and or resolved or not, but how do you use the mystery gift function in pokegen and get the Action Replay code to work in your game? I have UK White and i cant get the mystery gift action replay codes generated from pokegen to work.

Hello, I recently downloaded the Pokesav and the Pokegen. I spent a ton of time editing Pokemon for the Pokesav but once I exported the code, copy and pasted it into my Action Replay DSi, the code did not work. None of the codes worked. After multiple attempts, I tried doing a Pokegen code and the same thing happened. What am I doing wrong? It's for Heart Gold/Soul Silver. I'm new to the code editing world. Sorry if there is an obvious answer to this problem. I searched multiple Youtube videos on how to use the Pokesav and Pokegen.

PokeGen is now maintained by Mat. Current version: 3.1.13 <-- THIS IS A LINK, SINCE PEOPLE DON'T GET IT Be sure to always keep backups of your save files prior to editing. I'm not perfect, mistakes can exist in the program still. This program can be used for Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 for the following tasks: Generating Action Replay codes to create Pokemon, modify the Pokedex, and add Mystery Gift data, including exporting to an XML file that can be dragged to the Action Replay code manager Loading and saving of save files. Pokemon data and Pokedex data can be fully modified. Loading and saving of party and PC .pkm files (136, 220, and 236 byte, encrypted and unencrypted) Adding Wonder Cards to save files Conversion of Action Replay codes into Pokemon information (This is limited.) Finding a PID to match IVs, nature, gender, ability, shininess, and hidden power type/power - with variable IVs Recalculating save file checksums Editing items Editing C-Gear background images Most of what you need to know to use the program is self-explanatory. However, there are now tooltips explaining just about everything in it. There are some things that aren't quite covered though: Windows XP or newer is required. (However, it does run without issues on "emulated" Windows programs for Mac OS and Linux.) (This is only applicable to generation 4 games, and maybe not even HG/SS.) Using codes for party Pokemon can sometimes cause bad eggs upon activating the code. You can just activate it again and it should fix the problem. (You can check the summary after activating each time to see if it's fixed, or just close the party display and re-open it.) I don't think there's any way around this. As far as I know, this has no negative effect on the game when you save, as long as you don't save it with a bad egg. (I'm not even sure if saving with a bad egg would be harmful, but there's no reason to do so.) Pokemon can be dragged around amongst party/box slots. .pkm files can be dragged into and from party/box slots. You can associate compatible files (save files, .pkm files, etc) with PokeGen to be able to easily load them from Explorer windows. Holding alt and clicking a Pokemon icon will display that Pokemon's information instead of requiring you to right click and "View data". Holding shift + alt and clicking a Pokemon icon will set the slot's data with the tab's data. Obviously this is equivalent to right clicking and selecting "Set". If you don't want to receive updates to certain languages, delete the corresponding language file. If you can't figure out how to do something, read the tooltips. For those that don't know, tooltips are an informative message that gets displayed when you stop your mouse pointer over a control (editbox, dropdown box, button, etc) for a short period of time. There's also the questions and answers thread that's being updated occasionally. Note the date on posts in this thread if you're reading through it. There were many changes to the program since its initial release, including a rename, removal of generation 3 support, and other major redesigns. Also, this thread used to be the only way to post feedback/bugs for the program, prior to a forum section being made. That's why it has tons of posts when it's a locked thread.

Ok im here to write a quick Tutorial for those of you that have the new Action Replay DSI can now edit Pokemon events items etc from pokesav by loading your games sav file! Does not require.NET Framework 3.5 has been tested Under 3.5 .NET FrameWorks i apologize for any confusion Step 1: backup your sav file using action replay dsi and copy it to your computer Step 2: download this sav file converter http://projectpokemon.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3917&d=1269701955 Step 3: Drag your .duc sav file onto ARDStoSAV.exe Step 4:Load your .sav file that was created from the converter into Pokesav. Note: the created sav file will be located in C: \ the main hard drive that your computer uses! Step 5: after saving changes in Pokesav drag the edited .sav onto ARDStoSAV.exe and then just put the .duc file back onto your action replay and restore the save file and enjoy [Edit by evandixon] To clear a bit of confusion, this will NOT back up saves for HeartGold/SoulSilver/Black/White. If you want to do that with an Action Replay, you must look here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?16601-How-to-Backup-Restore-your-retail-cartridge-save-file-(D-P-Pt-HG-SS-B-W-Nearly-any-other-DS-game) [Edit again by evandixon] With Megaupload shut down for piracy, legitimate files are gone as well. After a bit of digging in the forum, I found the original link for this program. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3917&d=1269701955

I've begun playing around with pgt and pcd files and I have a few questions I hope some of you can answer. 1. I know what the files are for, but what does PGT and PCD stand for? (ie.: PGT = Pokemon Green Terabyte?) 2. I've read that when activating a Wonder Card I should set my NDS date to match the date that the Wonder Card is being "distributed" for. Is that true? 2.1. Are there any other legit precautions such as the one mentioned in question 2. that you know about? I so, please list them. 3 I activated a Wonder Card and was able to look at it. Apparently it was a card I've already received and I believe I actually removed it through non-cheating methods. However, when I checked again, the card wasn't there anymore. Could it be because the NDS places a note or removed Wonder Cards so that they don't show up on the screen? 4. Is there an AR code that can show me all the Wonder Cards I've received? 5. I have three different Pokesav programs - Diamond/Pearl, Platinum and HG/SS. If I want to load pgt and pcd files for an event that was only available for D/P versions, is it okay for me to use the Platinum or HG/SS Pokesav? Or do I have to use the D/P one for it? I think that's all. Thank you for your time.

Im new to these forums so excuse me of this is a dumb question but I tried my hardest and just couldn't figure it out myself. So I downloaded pokesav, I have action replay and I downloaded pgf files. So how do I actually get the Pokemon from pokesave to my ds? I go to pokesav click on mystery gift and load my pgf. Then I export the pgf using action replay and check the mystery gift box. I look at the code and input it in my action replay software for Pokemon black and it doesn't work. If anyone can help me out I'll really appreciate it. Thanks

Hey, I'm quite new to this forum, and save editing in general, but i've read a lot and watched a ton of videos on the subject and i still have a question. If I edit a .sav file (using pokesav or pokegen) to create 'legit' pokemon and restore this .sav file to my DS system using the programs savegame manager and smallFTP (through a flash cart), would I be able to use these pokemon in the random matchup and/or tournaments? Thank you

Since A LOT of people have trouble with this, I will redo everything that needs to be done so Japanese characters can be used on your computer. Here we go. Windows XP First, you'll need to make sure you acquired the Windows install CD (how, I do not care). Next you must go to Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options. Click on the Languages tab of the window and check off the "Install files for East Asian languages" and hit apply. After you have installed the languages and restarted your computer you'll want to download the AppLocale installer and install it. Now that you have everything all set, gather your Japanese and get ready. Start up AppLocale, find your copy of Pokesav, and set the language to this: Now just find the spot that you need to put your Japanese in, and paste. If you have any questions/problems, just post them here. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE UNNECESSARY TOPICS! Windows Vista In Windows Vista, using Japanese text in Pokesav is even easier. All you need to do is set your regional Unicode settings to Japanese. To do this, follow these steps, accepting UAC prompts as necessary: Go to the Control Panel (Start > Control Panel). Select the Change keyboards or other input methods link under Clock, Language, and Region. At the top, select the Administrative tab. Click the Change System Locale... button. Change the drop down list to Japanese (Japan) and confirm. Windows will then prompt you to restart your computer. After you're done using Japanese characters with Pokesav, change this setting back to what it was before, as it could affect some settings on your computer. Enjoy.

I recently downloaded HeartGold Pokesav after deleting it prior to PokeGen coming out. I discovered I couldn't create codes for things besides Pokemon, unless I've missed something. I made a code to change my Secret Id and give me a Lucky Egg at the start of a new load. I tried it out with my AR DSi and it didn't work. I checked my game code and it was the same as the AR one. My previous times creating codes with PokeSav worked but now doesn't. Could anyone help me with diagonstics or troubleshooting? I don't know why it's not working.

I Just beat White and decided to go back to playing SS which i had not finished yet, BUT i decided to start over and customize my team from scratch from the start of the game. Basically what i want to do is choose my 6 Pokémon for end-game at the very beginning so i can level with them and kind of create a better bond with them so-to-speak (corny i know). Now i do not want to cheat with these guys at all (well maybe a Shiny or 2) so i want them as legit as possible. I want to have these Pokémon in the box for when i get to the first Center so i can pull them out then. So my question is how do i create a new character at level 1 (or 5 for my Munchlax mentioned below) in Pokesav HG/SS and keep the info complete and legit for that specific Pokémon? Any help will be appreciated. My final team isn't 100% complete yet, but here are the ones i plan so far. Snorlax (Munchlax until it Evolves of course) will take over for my Totodile and be my level 5 starter. (He's my all-time fav) Then it's between Nidoran (male), Abra, Anorith, Horsea (for Kingdra), Numel, Electrike, Murkrow, Riolu, and a couple more.

So..First off...This is my first post...Tell me if i'm doing something wrong  oh and, i'm so tired i put legit instead of legal. So. I made a very legal mudkip. (Pokesav mind you.) It's moves are: Whirlpool Water Gun BubbleBeam Attract I know mudkips can learn those moves  It's lv. 63 met at lv. 5 Hometown in Johto. Naughty nature holding a dome fossil IV values are: HP is 31, Speed is 31, Attack is 31, Sp. Attack is 20, it's defense is 31, and it's Sp. Def is 10. Female No EVs 10 for each PP and 3 for PP ups  it has torrent for it's ability... What's wrong with it? If it's a glitch or a silly mistake...i'll commit suicide. I stayed up all night with this now. OK, OK. I TRIED MAKING ANOTHER THAT DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MUDKIPS OR POKESAV. (TORCHIC WITH THE...POKEPROJECT POKEMON MAKER THING) AND I MADE IT EVEN MORE BELIEVABLE, AND IT DIDN'T WORK EITHER! I'M STUCK. WHAT DO I DO? I ATTACHED HER .PKM FILE

I think it would be cool to create (or port) PokeGen to the Android platform! I have many of the plans to do so already in my head, so mainly, the only things needed to do is just the time intensive coding portions. Of course, I would really like to get the approval of the PokeGen creator (since my code and GUI would be based off of the original PokeGen), but first I would like to see if anyone would like this idea? It would be a simple UI that would run on the android (very simple so most droids could use it), this way if you ever had any spontaneous need to create a Pokemon, or a really great idea for a Pokemon, then you could do it anytime, anywhere. Once created on the phone, a "PokeBox" application would be used to get all of your .pkm files onto your computer, in this way you would be able to use your .pkm files however you wish via your computer, edit it more, share with friends, etc. Eventually, I think it would be cool to port PokeSav to the Android. Unfortunately, I do my computer things in my spare time, so even if people thought the PokeGen for Android idea would be fun, I would still need time to put it all together. So what do you think? Would anyone actually use it? I really wouldn't like to spend many hours developing this tool if no one would want it. Thanks for your input! (Also, forgive me if this is the wrong area to post as I didn't know if it should be posted in the general topics or under the pokegen topics.)

This is just a WIP. Hello, people of PP! I hear there's a Pokesav Request Thread. But I'd like to introduce something that I call a "PokéShop." This PokéShop is a place where you can get Action Replay codes for custom Pokémon that I made. You can also download .PKM files of the Pokémon for Pokesav research. (The .PKM files will be available soon, so please wait.) Eggs: [iCON]Egg[/iCON] Victini Received at Nuvema Town What's Inside: Victini - Lv. 1 Nature: Hardy Ability: Victory Star IV's: 30 HP, 31 Attack, 31 Defense, 31 Speed, 31 Sp. Atk, 31 Sp. Def [Hidden Power: Dragon-type, 70 base power] EV's: 255 HP, 255 Attack, 255 Defense, 252 Speed, 255 Sp. Atk, 255 Sp. Def Moves: Hidden Power, V-create, Fusion Flare, Psychic Code: ---------------------- More to come soon... By the way, how do I make the Egg icon appear using the [ ICON ] BB Code tag?
