  1. Sorry, but you don't really know for certain that this Flying Pikachu is actual. ESPECIALLY if it is one that showed up from the GTS. You have no idea what the moveset for FLying Pikachu is supposed to be, do you? SOmeone could have just taken a normal Pikachu and added Fly to the end of the movelist. Be warned, any who want to trade for it.
  2. Through first-hand experience, I can also confirm that that style of hat is currently in style in Japan. Also... the character design for the character's mother in DPP is FAR worse.
  3. Really? You think so? Are you sure? That's pretty interesting, considering no one has figured out what the Colosseum algorithm IS yet.
  4. This feels like the wrong thread to ask this in. Also, your opinion is wrong.
  5. Guys. Did you even look at it? It's basically just DPP Pokesav with everything disabled except for the stuff that DP Pokesav could read from a HGSS sav file. Meaning. All you can edit is names, etc. Party Pokemon Items No box editing, no events, etc. It doesn't even have the data for HGSS areas, Pokeballs, key items or anything. He didn't DO anything, he just cut stuff out of normal Pokesav.
  6. Seems like no one else knows this yet, so I'll post it. These features are currently only available in Japanese and to Pokemon Fan Club members. We will most likely see password generators on filb's site eventually. -Wallpaper passwords return. Two have been released so far (3 Starters and Pikachu-colored Pichu with Jagged-ear Pichu). This time you give the passwords to the reporter named Hajime Oniisan (older brother) in the Pokemon Center in Violet City. An interesting thing is that this time the box wallpapers are also available to download as wallpapers for your ACTUAL PC in the form of jpgs. - Three quizzes will be held by Hajime on the Fan Club's site. The first one has begun, the second is in October, and the third is in November. After answering the question correctly, you enter your trainer ID and get another password. These passwords can be used to get a special Pokemon Egg from Hajime. My first egg was a Mareep. I don't know if they're set or random or if they know any special moves, but I'll keep you updated.
  7. It doesn't recognize eggs, btw.
  8. SO what's the plan here? Are you gonna get your list done before the next release... meaning what you were working on before (pokemon editors and multi-language support) PLUS HG/SS support? Or will you be releasing one before the other?
  9. You'd have to rewrite all of the scripts in the entire game.
  10. Legit doesn't exist if you use any external device to obtain it, btw. There was a Togepi in , if that's what you meant. You can also get that here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?t=54
  11. Guested saves the day again! It's not an instruction manual! It's an advertisement booklet (a quite large one) that you can pick up on the shelf of most video game retailers. Nothing inside really stands out apart from all the pretty pictures (it is pretty sweet having a nice hard copy of that neat Johto map). The first page inside is an enlarged screen shot of GSC, too, haha. Still not sure what to think of the birds. It COULD be related to FRLG, but it COULD mean they are in HGSS. This advertisement is from Nintendo, so it's an official thing.
  12. "Hiroshi" was also a name I've seen in videos, but ... that's a Boy's name, so I'm guessing Boy character.
  13. It seems the wild encounters have changed. In Pokemon Sunday, Golgo was supposedly playing SoulSilver, yet encountered a Metapod on Route 30, which were previously not available in Silver on that route.
  14. Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Confirmed Information In order to keep clutter under control, use this thread to post anything you discover in the course of playing the games, or things you find in publications. The reviews in Famitsu said there are little surprises in the story line, but if you feel there is something worth sharing (something that is new, or something that still exists from GSC that we didn't know about), you can share it here. If you care about spoilers, consider this entire thread to be spoilers. Please keep in mind, this thread is for CONFIRMED information only. Please keep all speculation discussion in the speculation thread. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1470 Confirmed Information from Pre-Release Publications (Newer info in italics) ---------- Post added at 08:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:16 PM ---------- A small bit of info from Pokemon Sunday on Sept. 6th, the last show before the release of the game. Pokemon Sunday had a walkthrough of the first part of the game, among other things. Junichi Masuda was present, and he pointed out what I found to be the most interesting thing of the day: When you're near water, it makes water noise. Pretty neat aesthetic stuff. Also, you get the Running Shoes from the guy who gives you the tour of the city (he usually gives you the Map card after the tour), but fear not, cause he gives you the Map Card as you begin to leave that city. And it was shown that you can get the Apricorn Case from the man who lives just south of Mr. Pokemon. Also, Masuda pointed out quite clearly that the Flying Pikachu in the Yellow Forest picture was a hint at the special move that Pikachu in that route could know. So... pretty sure it's safe to say that there will be Flying Pikachu there.
  15. The names are written in katakana. And Treecko is "Kimori." NO idea how you came to the conclusion that you did.
  16. Is that the list on Bulbapedia? Pretty sure they just compiled that from what's been seen in videos so far.
  17. I'll take a better look at it later when I have more time, but at first skim, it looks like he's just saying the same things we are: "It looks like the three birds are in HGSS, but they were already in Platinum, so blah blah blah." It'll be nice to have the links to the proper 2ch threads, though. I'll take a better look later today.
  18. Yeah, it did say Kotone in that walkthrough part, but... that's not necessarily the first suggested name. Although... you don't choose the other character's name, do you? So... that's it, then. Her Japanese name. Interesting bit of trivia for you: The two kanji for Kotone... they are basically koto (the japanese harp) and sound. So... sound of the koto. But, the interesting thing is is that one of the other pronunciations of the koto kanji is also "kin"... which means gold. Different Kanji, of course, but it continues in Pokemon's tradition of names being plays on words.
  19. Well, number one: Corocoro "scans" that come out before street date are never scans. They're snaps done with a cell phone by someone who works somewhere that sells it. They never have the guts to take it out of the store or sell it early, so they just quickly snap pictures of images that will get the most attention. Then later we get the fullpage stuff. As for the manual... I don't know. It's completely possible it's fake, it's completely possible it's real (and being released by someone who wants to prove he has the game early, but is too much of a jerk to share). Keep in mind neither of those screenshots are new. But what codemonkey said is COMPLETELY possible. It could be that the manual is just referring to FRLG. It's been officially established that HGSS is an actual sequel to FRLG. So... I guess we'll never know for sure until we get the data.
  20. Hahaha, okay Yeah, I like this one too. I feel like the hair color change and the less jagged, spiky style was just a way to normalize her appearance and make her less wacky-anime styled.
  21. Ahhhhhhhhhhh................ This is....... interesting. This image looks MUCH more like a scan of a booklet than the image on Serebii (more reason to back up my pre-existing feelings for that site). The section is titled "Pokemon in HGSS" And this section talks about how your journey isn't over and you can go to Kanto to meet more pokemon and enter more Gyms. The right side says "Legendary Pokemon that only appear in Kanto." Fascinating. Seems kinda silly to have put them in Platinum if they're just gonna show up in HGSS again... Are there any more scans? The other two are Bugsy and an intro page that says "New people, and People you haven't seen in a while"
  22. So wait... are you saying my "living in Japan" part ISN'T true?! Dante, have you seen that image before? I had been wanting to ask you since you pretty much brought that idea up a while ago.
  23. To be honest, I don't understand the hate at all. I also don't understand the "looks like Mario thing." I especially don't understand the people that hate her because she "replaced" Kris. Personally, I've accepted that she is most likely a redesign of Kris, just updated to fit with the new FRLG/DPP image style and modern trends (characters in Pokemon are less extravagant in recent years). As someone who lives in Japan, her outfit is NOT that outrageous to me, and seems pretty standard for the times. And for those that say her shirt is ugly... she's basically wearing the same shirt as the Boy character. I think everyone just needs to get over it. Her overworld sprite especially does not look bad. Anyway, here's an interesting image I found somewhere online. I realize there are a LOT of steps involved, but it's interesting to think about.
  24. Anime =/= game. This is all interesting, but I personally don't think the birds will be in HGSS. I can't read this "scan" (it looks like it was made on a PC, btw), at least not the important parts like what it says above the three birds because the text is so small. If you go by the thought that a level 50 bird will be usable in the tournaments... aren't they already allowed? FRLG and Birds are at level 50, right? SO I dunno... I guess their presence in HGSS would make it more available to the kids of the younger generation who didn't play those older games, but... I dunno. Still seems silly. Also, I don't see how Mewtwo is eligible for the tournaments... he's not available under level 50 in FRLG, so... maybe that's an indication that either a) it'll be in HGSS, or b) the tournaments next year will be level 100, or will reset to level 50?
  25. Use YOUR common sense. Does Froslass evolve from a Pokemon from a GBA game?? In answer to the question, any are fine, but I think Normal D/P or GBA would be the most common and easiest to work with.
