  1. How to make a shiny SID. Thanks to Preston for teaching me how to do this on IRC.
  2. Hi! So i’ve used Gameshark multiple times to find my sid and pkhex, just to make sure i get the same number - which they are. So with that said and done i have my SID. I put it into rng reporter to find my shiny frame. i use another vba program, one which i can load an lua file so i can find the exact frame! i speed up my vba to that frame, well almost and pause the game, going one by one, each frame individually until i get to it. however, it’s never shiny? It’d be awesome if anything knew anything about this. Thanks!
  3. My ID number in Shield is 538095. Is there a way or a tool that can "decrypt" the ID number so it can be used in PkHex? Just wondering because I am stuck somewhere in the game... Thanks!
  4. Hey guys! I know that I’m new here but I was wondering if someone with a modded switch could help me find out what my SID is. For your trouble, I’ll even throw in a shiny meltan.
  5. What problems can clone a pokemon and keep the TID / SID the same? It is advisable to change these values to mark it as "legal" or it does not affect. If it is advisable, how can I change them without affecting their "legality". Example: Clone my Lunala from my Pokemon Moon game, 3 times. It can give problems (In Pokemon Moon and in other generations (USUM, SWSH) since it is the same pokemon with the same PID / SID ?. Thanks.
  6. I don´t have a hacked switch, but I want to know my SID number to ask someone to do some pokemon for me, with my ID and SID, is there a way to now it without having my switch haked?
  7. Since home came, I have been recreating pokemon from my old games to pass them to the bank. The only problem I have had was when trying to recreate my colosseoum starters. I'm editing my Ultrasun save with PKHeX and RNGReporter. I don't have any access to the Colosseum save. I dont have the Gamecube/Wii modified or any transfer cable. I can only see the data that appears on the screen when I play. All is Legit. Can someone help me find the SID? ================================= Umbreon ♂ TID: 54297 - EO: LEO Attacks: Bite, Secret Power, Taunt & Snatch Nature: Calm - Ability: Synchronize Level: 28 - EXP: 22889 Languaje: ESP HP 95 - Atk 44 - Def 69 - SpA 39 - SpD 86 - SPe 44 ================================= My try (invalid unable to match an encounter conditions to a possible rng frame) 197 - Umbreon - B70716FDD3F4.pk7
  8. I have no means to a hacked switch locally. I was wondering if I could trade someone a pokemon to be looked at on PkHeX? I just wish to know my Secret ID linked to my OT number. Please let me know if you can lend a hand. Thank you. McgNuggets - 3027-9777-5302
  9. Hello, I have some questions about editing the TID/SID of a save file. As far as I know, the PID of pokemon aren't tied to the TID/SID of a trainer unless it's shiny, is that right? Also, if I edit the TID and SID (using valid TID/SID combinations created by the game) will this change the way shiny PIDs are calculated? Has anyone been able to confirm that editing the TID/SID of a save file results in new uniquely generated shiny PIDs using the newly inserted TID/SID combination? These questions stem from me wanting to hold onto a shiny I caught on one play through after creating and playing a new save with a new TID/SID. My preference is for this shiny pokemon to not appear traded, otherwise I could simply leave my TID/SID as is and drag him into my PC boxes. My alternative is to copy my newly caught pokemon over to my old save and change their TID/SIDs instead so that my shiny won't appear to be traded. I do want to confirm though that TID/SID isn't used for generating non shiny PIDs. I guess I'm just concerned about editing the TID/SID and would like to know any potential drawbacks to doing so. I'd like to hear that it's not a big deal and it all works as intended; meaning if you use valid values you're all good, and newly generated shiny pokemon will use the currently set TID/SID. Any information/insight is appreciated. Thanks
  10. Hello RNG'ers! Today, I have prepared a save file for those looking to RNG Japanese Emerald's Mew for me. It is a copy of the HaxAras ticket save, but with both ID numbers changed to a special set that makes the only timid 6iv flawless method 1 spread shiny after 176+ million frames. (Refer to my earlier posts and threads for my desired hex PID of 7942EF72, with TID 60510, and 31337.) Anyways, this save file is ready to catch mew when using frameskip 9/10, turbo mode, 1000%, and vblank patching (all from reddit and bond697) to speed the game up to the only flawless frame at 176,000,000+ frames, which, instead of 817 hours or 5 weeks, would, after skipping frames this way, would only take 23-24 hours to hit the frame on a fast PC. This allows Mew to be obtained. If HaxAras's save is unwanted due to cheating, just use Glitzer popping on InsaneNutter's Used Emerald Cart save to change both ID numbers before getting Mew if you abhor cheats. You can trade the Mew to an English RS with Pandora's box TID/NAME/SID/Gender manipulation to trick the name rater into allowing a legit 10 letter english Name before pal-parking without save flashing. Before I forget, on VBA-rr, audio must be off, and the frame counter script for JP Emerald must run, while in addition, the GBA bios is needed for timing accuracy and legitimacy purposes. The desired frame to jump to is frame 176,562,489, which has this PID. You can refer to my first and second threads for the info on these facts, and you can get more info from HaxAras, Ammako, BlackNight(???), suloko, SciresM (possibly), the_Slayer, trigger_death (for GBA RNG info,), and my theories/observations in the connected posts. r/pokemonrng on reddit may help. My earlier wish for an RNG'd 3GPKM is renewed, due to the info found on reddit which, with the battle video method, significantly makes this more doable on console after using an emulator to store the frame counter in the battle video using that namesake glitch on reddit, which allows you to hit the frame on console after save flashing to a JP emerald. This allows shiny 6iv flawless "event ID" method 1 pokemon to be legitimately caught on console with assistance from a wii with fix94's save dumper tool. With school, I have little chance or explanation to waste 24 hours waiting for mew on rng, so I leave the process of procuring shiny event legends with longer names to those in need. Interestingly enough, the Hadou mew can be made using these 2 id numbers into a fan event, which is nicknamed to 10 letters, because the word "Hadou" is 5 characters or less in Romaji and Japanese. This means a hybrid JP event mew is makeable by RNG users due to GEN 3 oversights. Have fun RNGing!
  11. Hello Researchers! Today I have discovered an exploit for Generation 3 that affects Pokemon Legality for RNG. The exploit can be done in 2 ways. One way is to take a save file with Japanese/Localized dual compatible names and nicknames from a Japanese Gen 3 game, flash it to an English cart, and then take any already-nicknamed Pokemon (pre-naming fixes a bug with bank compatibility for Japanese-exclusive Pokemon like mew) to the name rater to enjoy longer English names when kept on that same file. The more legit way is to RNG both region games to have a 5 to 1 digit cross region OT, with the same SID and TID, similar to using RNG to rename event Pokemon via OT RNG manipulation. The next step to do is Nickname the Japanese Pokemon, trade it over, and rename it on the English game with the cross region characters. Accent letters for Latin and Japanese will pose problems, along with RS copies with the nickname flag bug. Anyhow, this process obviously fails when trying to make longer Japanese nicknames. This means Nicknamed 3rd gen event Pokemon, Nicknamed Shiny Jirachi, Nicknamed Celebi, and Nicknamed In game events are possible now to RNG users. Hopefully this helps Legality checkers! Thanks, and have fun!
  12. The gif is self explanatory but pretty much my question is if me being the OT matters once I make change it's current handler for past pokemon.
  13. i was wondering if i could trade a pokemon to someone and they could tell me my true SID? I'm desperate
  14. i was very curious on what my pokemon SID is and i was wondering if i could trade a pokemon to anyone and they can tell me what it is? or even guide me through how to find out?
  15. Hey guys, I've edited a pokemon to make them shiny by using the generate shiny ID feature - this changes the SID to create a shiny pokemon as far as I am aware. When I've sent my save file back to my DS, the game treats my pokemon like it has been traded. I assume this is because the SID doesn't match - is there a way to make them match while still having the pokemon shiny? Thanks!
  16. For example, say I edit all my pokemon saves so that the Trainer ID in every save is "12345" and the Secret ID in every save is "54321" If I trade pokemon back and forth between versions, will the games recognize all of MY pokemon as MINE regardless of on which version they originated? Of course I wont use those numbers, and my name will be the same in all the games, so this should work right? Like on the pokemon it will say "OT:Name" "ID No. 12345" and not shown will be "SID No. 54321" so can anyone confirm if this actually works, or if it is just theoretical? Thanks

  19. HI, I was wondering if anyone could please find my SID for My emerald game. My ID is 24248 If you need anymore detail please let me know. P.S. I don't have any cheating device or any shiny Pokemon, that's why i need help. Thanks
  20. Hello, I'm in some trouble. I've been trying to figure out my SID. By using my shiny Pidgeot, but it hasn't given me any valid SID's (that is Method 1) or any SID's that are correct; That is "Met at Lv" text when I GTS trade to myself, instead of "Apparently met..." So I was hoping someone who could either aid me with finding the SID with a traded pokemon from me. Then finding the SID out by AR or savegame import via external tools. (Both are not available in Iceland) Thanks for reading  :edit: Just figured out this is in the wrong place
  21. Can some one please tell me my secret ID? My normal id is 28551.
  22. I'm not sure if this is the place to post, so sorry if this thread is misplaced. I want to try the RNG trick, but I need my Secret ID, and I heard that if I trade a pokemon caught in my game to someone who has AR, then they could find my SID for me. Can anyone help me out? I've been looking for help in many forums with no help, but this place seems good. Please help! EDIT: I am now offering a Legit Shiny Articuno for anyone who can help me find my SID!
  23. Hello everybody, today I will be showing you how to determine your Secret ID in Pokemon Heart Gold or Soul Silver. You can also hack your game using this method, but I won't go into detail about that. 1. Go to your NO$GBA BATTERY folder and copy your save file elsewhere in order to back it up in case you make a mistake. 2. Open NO$GBA.ini in Notepad, and scroll down to the line: SAV/SNA File Format == Compressed ...change this to: SAV/SNA File Format == Uncompressed ...and save the file. 3. Open No$GBA (make sure your save type in NO$GBA is FLASH 512 kbytes) and continue your game. Save the game, and quit NO$GBA. Check the size of your save file in the BATTERY folder. It should be over 500KB (mine was 512KB). 4. Download the following program. You will use it to convert your save file: No$GBA --> VBA Battery Converter To use it, click the "Configure" button and follow the instructions by clicking on the buttons in order. In the text box named "New .SAV File" enter a name for the new file you will make. Now select your Pokemon save file and press convert file. It will create a new save file with the name you typed in. 5. Now open up your Pokesav program for Pokemon HGSS. Click the button that says "open", and select your new converted save file (the one you made in step 4). Your ID and SID should appear in the text boxes corresponding to each. That's all folks! If you have any questions/concerns, please post a reply.
  24. It's come to my attention that many people requesting PKMN do not have their own Names and various ID's. So I've decided to help get people their own info. What do I mean? I'd start my game over from the beginning naming my trainer after the name you give. Then I would find the Secret ID and send you the info, like so... Trainer Name: ID: SID: I know many people want their PKMN to obey them from an early lvl, but many people I see do not know their SID when they request nor care, so I figured this service would help. I have PKMN Diamond, Platinum and Soul Silver. (Will be getting a Pearl to use soon from a friend) So if anyone has those games and needs trainer info they can't make for themselves just drop a post below. Please post if you want the trainer to be a Boy or Girl too.
  25. If anyone would be willing to help me find my Secret ID(SID) it would be amazing. Im currently sending in my platinum to get the GTS bug/glitch fixed and want to practice breeding IVs/Shinies using the RNG/IRNG calculations using my copy of diamond, but in order to do so I need my secret ID. I dont have access to pokesav or AR, so Im unable to retrieve the SID myself without catching a wild shiny, and so far it no luck in doing that. If anyone with the ability to use pokesav would be willing to check out one of my pokemon and retrieve my secret ID, it would be most appreciated. (BTW if I posted this in the wrong place, sorry in advance mods)
