  1. Hello RNG'ers! Today, I have prepared a save file for those looking to RNG Japanese Emerald's Mew for me. It is a copy of the HaxAras ticket save, but with both ID numbers changed to a special set that makes the only timid 6iv flawless method 1 spread shiny after 176+ million frames. (Refer to my earlier posts and threads for my desired hex PID of 7942EF72, with TID 60510, and 31337.) Anyways, this save file is ready to catch mew when using frameskip 9/10, turbo mode, 1000%, and vblank patching (all from reddit and bond697) to speed the game up to the only flawless frame at 176,000,000+ frames, which, instead of 817 hours or 5 weeks, would, after skipping frames this way, would only take 23-24 hours to hit the frame on a fast PC. This allows Mew to be obtained. If HaxAras's save is unwanted due to cheating, just use Glitzer popping on InsaneNutter's Used Emerald Cart save to change both ID numbers before getting Mew if you abhor cheats. You can trade the Mew to an English RS with Pandora's box TID/NAME/SID/Gender manipulation to trick the name rater into allowing a legit 10 letter english Name before pal-parking without save flashing. Before I forget, on VBA-rr, audio must be off, and the frame counter script for JP Emerald must run, while in addition, the GBA bios is needed for timing accuracy and legitimacy purposes. The desired frame to jump to is frame 176,562,489, which has this PID. You can refer to my first and second threads for the info on these facts, and you can get more info from HaxAras, Ammako, BlackNight(???), suloko, SciresM (possibly), the_Slayer, trigger_death (for GBA RNG info,), and my theories/observations in the connected posts. r/pokemonrng on reddit may help. My earlier wish for an RNG'd 3GPKM is renewed, due to the info found on reddit which, with the battle video method, significantly makes this more doable on console after using an emulator to store the frame counter in the battle video using that namesake glitch on reddit, which allows you to hit the frame on console after save flashing to a JP emerald. This allows shiny 6iv flawless "event ID" method 1 pokemon to be legitimately caught on console with assistance from a wii with fix94's save dumper tool. With school, I have little chance or explanation to waste 24 hours waiting for mew on rng, so I leave the process of procuring shiny event legends with longer names to those in need. Interestingly enough, the Hadou mew can be made using these 2 id numbers into a fan event, which is nicknamed to 10 letters, because the word "Hadou" is 5 characters or less in Romaji and Japanese. This means a hybrid JP event mew is makeable by RNG users due to GEN 3 oversights. Have fun RNGing!
  2. Hello Researchers! Today I have discovered an exploit for Generation 3 that affects Pokemon Legality for RNG. The exploit can be done in 2 ways. One way is to take a save file with Japanese/Localized dual compatible names and nicknames from a Japanese Gen 3 game, flash it to an English cart, and then take any already-nicknamed Pokemon (pre-naming fixes a bug with bank compatibility for Japanese-exclusive Pokemon like mew) to the name rater to enjoy longer English names when kept on that same file. The more legit way is to RNG both region games to have a 5 to 1 digit cross region OT, with the same SID and TID, similar to using RNG to rename event Pokemon via OT RNG manipulation. The next step to do is Nickname the Japanese Pokemon, trade it over, and rename it on the English game with the cross region characters. Accent letters for Latin and Japanese will pose problems, along with RS copies with the nickname flag bug. Anyhow, this process obviously fails when trying to make longer Japanese nicknames. This means Nicknamed 3rd gen event Pokemon, Nicknamed Shiny Jirachi, Nicknamed Celebi, and Nicknamed In game events are possible now to RNG users. Hopefully this helps Legality checkers! Thanks, and have fun!
  3. A while ago, I lost half of all of my Pokemon from every Pokemon game that I had played until Pokemon X. After that sad event, I tried to retrieve my lost Pokemon via countless methods, that usually failed. However, after retrieving some of my lost Pokemon from Pokemon White, I realized that the 4th gen games held impartial copies of every Pokemon that successfully beats the elite 4. So, I extracted my Heart Gold save file from my cartridge from my cartridge and searched numerous times. Nonetheless, I had came to the realization that I had no idea where the hallof fame data was stored... So, where's the Hall of Fame data for Pokemon Heart Gold located? It was the first Pokemon game that I played, So I beat the elite 4 seven times (Just for kicks), so it should be easy to identify...
  4. Hi guys, this is my first post here as I desperately need help. About last summer I started replaying Pokemon heart gold and platinum (Legit copies which i got sealed in Game) on my 3ds which I had not used since 2013 when I had my DS lite. I sunk 70 hours into heart gold and one day after having played daily; I started up the game and everything loaded up to the main screen where you can load your save etc. and when I loaded my save the screen blanked and the audio went to a very quiet static. After the same thing happened again when i loaded my copy of Pokemon platinum I put both games in my DS which has a broken up button and they worked fine. Recently i tried this again as i am contemplating getting a 2DS simply to play pokemon and i decided to ask you guys. I have updated my 3ds firmware and all games were brought in the same country as the 3ds. Any ideas? (i have 800 hours on platinum and really want to continue)
  5. The title says it all, really. When I export a Gen3 SAV file, the size of the file becomes 192 KB so VBA-M doesn't recognize it. Help would be appreciated.
  6. I play Gen 3 alot and I decided hoarding Pokemon and items was a pain when storage space was so limited, that and trading takes forever. So I created a PokeBank-like program for hoarding, trading, and managing Pokemon, Items, Pokeblocks, Mail, and Decorations. Trigger's PC is a tool designed for legit purposes. There really aren't enough tools for legit-play out there sadly. However, note it does extend some of the boundaries of the game to increase replayability and customization. Image Album | News: Release v1.0.1.1 is Here! (7/18/16 8:05PM) Big thanks to everyone who helped improve Trigger's PC during beta in order to make it into what it is now! Please read the following documentation before using Trigger's PC: Safety Guide Troubleshooting and Bug Reporting Guide Links: Trigger's PC Wiki GitHub Repository Smogon Forums Page Suggest Achievements for Trigger's PC! Project Goals for Later in Development: In-Tool Mart for all currencies. Use items and feed Pokeblocks to Pokemon. Ability to write mail. Show other miscellaneous stats in the Trainer Info tab. Achievements. Statistics Page. Long Term Project Goals: Add support for Gens 1 and 2 (Especially since trading between those games is even more of a pain). This will include trading Pokemon up to gen 3 permanently. 7. Hey, I'm trying to find either an Action Replay code or a Save Editor that supports Trainer editing or some way for me to quickly advance through my game. I don't have any of the badges but I would like to test some stuff out on Battle Subway. Could anyone help me out either by sending me an Action Replay code or your own White 2/Black 2 save file that unlocked the Battle Subway? I also tried using the All Badges code but that didn't work. Thanks!
  8. Hello everyone! I don't know if there was any demand for this or if anyone really cared, but I've spent what little free time I had over the past 6-7 months creating this. It's a Fire Red save file you can open/import in any GBA emulator, and it contains every single pokemon, shiny, with legitimate stats, holding every legal ribbon it can own, having perfect IV's/EVs/ with Smogon competitive movesets. Basically anything you can possibly think of, it's on here. All completely "legal" in the sense that it will (should) pass all legality checkers and will transfer over to the newer generations without any red flags. NFE Pokemon like Charmander are level 98 and Charmeleon 99 in case you want to evolve them. For every non-bred Pokemon, I used the relevant PID Finder Method to ensure legitimate PID values for the designated event. I also gave the trainer 999 of every time, max money, etc etc. It took me forever to make this, but I finally finished it and want to share it with the world! I plan on sharing this via Dropbox to YouTube, but I thought ProjectPokemon should hear about this first, especially if the community might find some use for this in terms of research & development. Here are the files along with a copypasta from the Readme I plan on attaching to the Dropbox: <attachments below> [Mods: I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, since it does contain many Event files but is obviously more than just events. If you need me to move this or remove it, please let me know and I will be more than happy to oblige.] Thank you for your time, isleep2late

Ok, so I'm dumb and here's essentially what happened. I backed up my save file of X onto my SD card using BrowserHax in order to edit the file a bit(wanted to give my Pikachu a light ball). Got called away to help around the house before I imported it back into the game. When I finally came back to my computer, I thought I had already imported the file, and so I backed up my OR file to mess around with it a little bit. Now, when I try to start up my copy of X, it says it's corrupted and I'm pretty sure there's no way to fix it. Hoping someone here can prove me wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. So I just recently got a Save Dongle. I would like to know if one could decrypt a save file taken from the cart through the Save Dongle edit it and then encrypt it again and put it into the physical cart the save file came from. (Game I'm using is Omega Ruby.) Thanks for spending the time to answer my question.
  11. Before I get powersaves I have one question: (Maybe Not One Actually) 1st question:If I backup my game to powersaves what save files will it be? Will it be a main file (you know: those files called main?)?[/u][/u] MAIN: Can I get my main file I downloaded off the internet and and use that backup? (About 1st question) YES: * (About MAIN section) NO: Go to the no section of BIN/OTHER. (About the MAIN section) BIN/OTHER: Can I turn that main file into a bin or the save file I need? (About 1st Question) NO: Can I get my backup(no hacked) onto the computer atleast and edit it then export the backup to my 3ds? (About BIN/OTHER) YES:*(About BIN/OTHER) YES: * (About answering NO to BIN/OTHER) NO:I'll just use the codes. (About answering NO to BIN/OTHER) * Means Post in the comments how to do it.
  12. Can someone please help me with extracting the pokemon from the linked file below. I would really appreciate it if someone could do this for me, as due to my own stupidity, I am locked out of the game with a message that says "The saved data is not compatible with this version, so it can't be used." https://www.dropbox.com/s/s9j6pl4u5sief7u/00000001.sav?dl=0
  13. Obsolete, please use suloku's Gen 5 save tool for Memory Link injection! Original Post

  15. (Sorry if this is in the wrong place, if it is go ahead a move it thanks.) Okay, I have a English Pokemon White 2 Game cartridge, a NDS Adapter PLUS, and a Windows PC with DeSmuME & a English Pokemon White 2 (PATCHED) Rom. So in short I'm wondering if it safe for my game cartridge if I load my Pokemon White 2 SAV File (From the Patched Rom & Emulator on my PC) to my game cartridge with my NDS Adapter PLUS backup/restore tool.
  16. Hello guys Does anyone of you now where I can find the checksums of the GBA save files (especially Ruby, Saphire, Emerald)? And how can I calculate it? I think it's located at 0x7042 but I'm not sure...
  17. Hi all I've been playing on Pokémon Platinum version for a while (genuine cartridge). And i just came to wonder... would it be possible to collect more pkms just by playing on older generation ROMs and by transfering them to the actual game? This wouldn't be legal thought (who cares?) but it would be an easier way to complete the Dex by yourself, getting as many starters and legendaries, without having to use any hardcore cheats, etc. I'm kind of a newbie as a pkm ROM user, so did a lot of research, googl'd, read and learned a lot. Then thinked out a strategy to make the wonder come true... but haven't tried it yet. For now i'm just trying to anticipate any problems that could happen and how to solve/fix it or use another path around. So i currently have - 1 NDSi - 1 Pokémon Platine cartridge - VBA 1.7.2 - VBAlink 1.7.3 - DeSmuME-0.9.8-win32 - Some pkm ROMs (GBAs and NDSs with their respective SAV files) The first thing i learned is that you can't transfer/trade any pokemon beetween GB/GBC and GBA (yes told ya i'm a newbie) right? No prob, i guess that's why we still got the golden oldie remakes Pkm RedFire and LeafGreen. Using VBAlink, great tool, won't make trading beetween GBA games too much of a problem (already tried it beetween R/S/E and works great). But that's not the subject. Second thing is, you can't trade beetween GBA and NDS, you have to use this thing called Pal Park. Great, so we could still get pkms from gen 3 (even gen 1 counting RF & LG) reunited with gen 4 pkms in NDS games like Platinum, Diamond and Pearl. But would it work using ROMs? and, above all, would it work using a slot-2less DSi? Apparently it would be feasible by using an emulator, such as DeSmuME, and not the DSi... shame that's too bad, i still want to play pkm on my actual Platinum cartridge. Then i figured, there's this wonderful device called "NDS backup tool" that could possibly resolve it all. But it's somewhat said not to work with DSi saves. So there's this other tool, even greater, named "NDS Adaptator Plus" which would do the same thing correctly, just faster (but not cheaper lol). And here's my problem: could i just backup the Platinum .SAV file from the cartridge, transfer the GBA ROM pkms via Pal Park on DeSmuME, save in the game and once done download it back from the PC to the DS cartridge? Could it actually work? I suppose (i may be wrong) there would have to be some sort of file convertion at some point, like to get the backup files to run on DeSmuME (or does the "File -> Import Backup file" would work just as fine?). Or even converting the DeSmuME .SAV files before putting them back in the cartridge. Is there any specific .SAV file format used by DeSmuME or the NDS games that wouldn't allow recognition beetween these two? Let's suppose we get this to work, i almost forgot we would still be missing some pkms from gen 2 games!! GBC ROMs would be useless, so i guess we'll have to use the ROMs from oldie remakes SoulSilver & HeartGold made for NDS. But even then, could we trade them from one of these to Platinum version cartridge? I guess it could be possible, everything is, but i still didn't find any clues on how to get it done. The "trade to yourself" thing on DeSmuME seems to be messed up by the Wi-Fi nintendo's Global Trading System. One way around would be using flashcards... and buying another NDS. Sounds like a defeat, and surrendering now is not an option. Could any of you guys (and gals) give me any clues on how to solve this issue? Best regards PS.1: sry, i must apologize if my spelling appears weird, actually i'm french and this is not my native language, but this forum is so great and such a source of information... i would even learn swedish just to post a new thread PS.2: i've absolutely nothing against swedish people, please don't take it personally
  18. Hi guys! So I'm running Windows 7 and DeSmuMe 0.9.6 (I also have 9.8 but a lot of people say it's glitched, so I tried 9.6 too) and the latest PokeGen. I'm using a Pokemon White 2 fully english ROM. I do the following: 1. Save ingame. 2. Export back up memory. 3. Load .sav in PokeGen 4. I go to edit a Pokemon in my boxes; let's say an Umbreon. I want to change it from level 35 --> level 45. 5. I do so, and save the .sav file after setting the Pokemon with changes. 6. I import backup memory to DeSmuMe, and when I reset the ROM to get to the title screen, after I click continue, I get something along the lines of this: Save file will be deleted due to corruption or damage. I have also posted this on DeSmuMe, to see if they can help. Is this something with PokeGen? Am I doing something wrong? (Same thing happened in both DeS version.) Help would be appreciated.
  19. Hellow, i'd like to know if someone could help me resolve this problem. I have been using pokegen for about a month now and havn't had any issues untill today when i tried to load my Pokemon Black sav file. (I use Desmume) Before Pokegen would load the save without any issues but now it crashes as soon as i load my pkmn blk sav. The only changes i have made from before are using Pokegen for Heart Gold which seems to still work perfectly fine, and getting Pokegen's latest update. I Also noticed Pokegen won't load my Pkmn Blk 2 save either, which also worked before. Only Pokemon Heart Gold.

  21. Intro Since there isn't any information posted about how the C-Gear is planted within the save file, I might as well just explain how one would edit it. PokeStock is capable of editing the skin, but it's a pretty weird standalone program -- people may want to have their own program (in english) that can edit it. Plus it's good to know how it works! Background Information The C-Gear Skin is stored inside the save file as a .psk file ("poké-skin") after it is downloaded or edited. It's a pretty big portion of the save file, coming in at 9.50 KB of data -- that's around 2% of the entire save file's size. Visualizing it as an actual image is different, the .psk file format is not a .bmp or .jpg, and this is beyond me... PokeStock is able to visualize it and save it as a view-able image, however. Documentation of Save Structure for C-Gear Skins: 0x52000-0x545FF Contains the .psk data. Calculate Checksum of this region, call it checksum(1). 0x54603-0x54604 Contains the checksum of the .psk data. Overwrite the current value with checksum(1). 0x1C024-0x1C025 This is a Checksum Reference to the .psk checksum. 22. Hey, I'm quite new to this forum, and save editing in general, but i've read a lot and watched a ton of videos on the subject and i still have a question. If I edit a .sav file (using pokesav or pokegen) to create 'legit' pokemon and restore this .sav file to my DS system using the programs savegame manager and smallFTP (through a flash cart), would I be able to use these pokemon in the random matchup and/or tournaments? Thank you
  23. Hi! I have encountered a disturbing problem today which I would greatly appreciate help on. I was on Pokesav for Platinum editing my Platinum save file. I made a Uxie become a Dratini (just to see what'd happen), by changing its species and name to Dratini, saved and downloaded the save file to my Platinum cart. I turned on my game and found a nasty surprise at the continue screen. My player name was no longer displayed and my play time (284:35) now appeared as ?35:?5. Clicking continue only revealed more damage. My character is now the female (it was originally the male). The frame text appears in is now formed of a glitchy half black half transparent lines. Attempting to view my party Pokémon freezes my Platinum, including the music. Attempting to view my party through the in-game PC reveals there are no Pokémon in it (in reality I should have six, including Uxie/Dratini). Taking about 20 steps results in an, "Oh?" message as though an egg were about to hatch (I have no eggs), followed by the screen going black and my game freezing. I have attempted to change Uxie back, make it another Pokémon (Vibrava), even delete it from my team, but downloading those saves did nothing to fix my game. I have also deleted my Platinum's save file from the cart and tried re-downloading it, but I get the glitched save again. When I view my Platinum save file in Pokesav for Platinum, everything looks fine and normal. I've used Pokesav for Platinum quite a number of times this month and never had any problems like this. I uploaded my Pearl's save file, edited it a bit, then edited it back to how it was before. Then I downloaded it back to the cart and there was no problem. I tried again with my Platinum and I got the glitched save once more. I would really appreciate help to get my Platinum save back to normal.
  24. Just as an FYI to all those out there, this project is long dead. You can see my new stuff here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?20984-PKMDS-Code-Library-Gen-V Hello once again! I have written a small application to fix the checksums in the save files for Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. Platinum support is on the way. This program is for Windows only. Please note that you need the latest .Net framework (3.5 SP1) for this application to run. The primary purpose of this application is to allow people to futz around with the hex in a save file, fix the checksums with this program, and then be able to load the altered data without the game interfering due to corrupted data. If there are any problems or questions, let me know! CHANGES: 5-27-09: Added a viewer and copier for the Trainer Card signature in the loaded save file. Huzzah! And thanks to Jiggy-Ninja for deciphering the data structure. PKMDS_Checksum_Fixer.zip
