  1. Muscle Band really isn't that helpful. Use Life Orb if you want some real power. Jolteon should run Choice Specs. Who are you going to pass all these boosts too? Glaceon can Barrier an opposing lead for some reason, then pass that to someone else. Most leads carry Explosion, so... thats going to be messy. The leads that don't will either screw you over with Taunt or start pounding on your other team members. Espeon can pass Calm Mind too... Vaporeon? I guess... Leafeon and Gliscor are throwing boosts at each other. Defog doesn't remove all entry hazards. It removes all entry hazards on your opponent's side of the field, aka the ones YOU have set up.
  2. Wraith, no one runs 200 speed. If you must, YOU could run 200 speed, outspeeding Tangrowth, but at the moment you speed tie Tropius. If you want to be speedy, run 230 speed; more defensive, run 200 or 210. Or run 197, although you might as well just run 200 at that point.
  3. I used to do so much recoloring... =| I haven't done any in a long time though. Sad. I might go back into all my spriting stuff =P
  4. Ubers wasn't created to be a metagame, it was created to be a banlist for OU. Wynaut, while for the most part useless, has two incredibly useful aspects. 1. Wynaut can come in on any Choiced pokemon and kill it. 2. Its ability. Wynaut's ability may seem only useful for mirror coat / counter, but that isn't the case. Wynaut's ability is the singular best switching utility in the game. You can use Wynaut to get a free switch in on any pokemon because you force the opponent's pokemon to stay in. This can be useful at any level. Wynaut probably wouldn't break the metagame, and it would be interesting to test, but I think it should stay in Ubers.
  5. Actually, you're team does need a lategame sweeper. I suggested Dragonite because he isn't OU trash, and because he is quite powerful and useful, with an excellent movepool. You could use a powerful dragon STAB as well.
  6. Smogon is suspecting it, and I'm curious for the arguments their UU team puts up, as its their largest suspect group ever.
  7. Actually, this team looks like it could work against many teams. But not against the basic OU trash teams that you hate so much. Anyway, most of it looks fine, but I'm not sure what Swampert is doing. I would switch him out for a lategame sweeper, preferably special, since while he does provide insurance for Metagross and Blissey, Dugtrio will massacre both. Just sayin'. As an option for switching him out, not much doesn't qualify as OU trash. Alakazam is rarely used and unbelievably powerful, Jolteon goes with him. Neither of them are in the top 20 used, with Alakazam being the 50th. Dragonite is also a good option as a mini-salamence, with him being fairly far down the list as well. Make sure you know your response for every one of the top leads with your Dugtrio.
  8. I would reccomend 6 pokemon, level 100, 1v1, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, and Evasion Clause, with the Ubers as a banlist. The VGC world championship has idiotic rules.
  9. Nah, most tournaments allow Garchomp. In that case, a Salamence will work well in its place.
  10. Argh I can't stand it when dumbasses like Beff make new users have doubts. The patch does absolutely NOTHING to the save file. Everything is in the exact same location. And thats for either the English patch or the freeze one. HGSS Pokesav can be used on any patched HGSS ROM. Final word, no more questions.
  11. For all out attacking power, little else will beat a Garchomp, a Metagross, and a Latias. The sheer power offered by this trio is astounding. Metagross can run an easy Choice Band set, or a LO set, or a Scarf set... or an Agility set too. Garchomp can and should run the old standard Yachechomp. Latias can do fantastically with LO, Specs, Scarf, CM, or whatever you choose to run.
  12. Thats pretty cool, but a well played UU team would have destroyed you. Anyway, very nice warstory.
  13. Well, Pokesav is tried and true, and has a more complicated interface that can be confusing. PPSE is rather new, and still in development, although you can expect far more updates from it. You should get both, as they're free, and use the one you like best. However, for HGSS support, PPSE is going to support it fully much sooner then Pokesav will.
  14. They are 'competitors' in that they serve a similar purpose and are made by different people; however theres no real competition between them. They are different programs that do extremely similar things, with a different interface.
  15. Pokesav HGSS is out, PPSE is far into development; there will be a solid HGSS save editing program within two weeks, if not sooner.
  16. Stop spreading your uninformed guesswork. It wont corrupt the save. I've tested that and tons of people are using patched versions without a problem. The reason for this is that unless the patch changes some core game data, it won't affect the save at all. As such, no one needs to worry about that.
  17. That very much depends on how patched the game is; however with the generic anti-piracy and english patches, the save file will be identical to a clean game. As such, thats a pointless thing to do.
  18. This is a pretty smart way to do it. Once you've found a good IV set, change the IVs of the pokemon in Pokesav and there you go, a legit shiny.
  19. Excellent! I would definitely recommend Metagross then. Still, highly doubt there will be any gravity teams.
  20. You can most likely purchase a Fire Stone from the Goldenrod Dept. Store. COM, the creator of Pokesav, has been missing for some time now and has failed to update Pokesav Platinum. As such, there is no reason to believe that a version of Pokesav for HeartGold and SoulSilver will be created. However, Jiggy-Ninja and the developers of the Project Pokemon Save Editor (PPSE) are working hard on getting a HGSS version out.
  21. The best wall in the game is undoubtedly Lugia, with fine speed, incredible defenses, and good typing. He learns Roost, Whirlwind, Toxic, Calm Mind, and Trick, allowing it to run virtually any wall set you can think of. While Arceus can work as a wall, its stupid. Arceus has base 120 speed and dual base 120 attacking stats, along with an immense movepool and the ability to get any STAB in the game, and you're telling me it should run a wall?
  22. Be that as it may, this clause is extremely simplistic to implement and SCV already told me personally it was a good idea.
