  1. Toffeuy, to show how easy it is to fix your sig, I kinda did it myself: Its not perfect, but its a good start. Basically I added a c4d, changed the curves (always just use 2 dots), slightly increased brightness and increased contrast using adjustment layers. I erased some over the render so it didn't look weird and it ended up fine. =) Good luck
  2. You can find moving sprites from serebii, even though you can't right click. ex. http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/icon/157.gif for Typhlosion. replace the number before the .gif with the number of the pokemon you want. Then you can save it and reupload it. Toffeuy, good job making use of cool effects. I like your delcatty one a lot. =)
  3. Toffeuy, the problem with your new one is the whole thing has too little contrast. Basically that means the entire thing is bright. Theres no light source, theres no darkness, theres no depth. You can fix this by basically adding black brush strokes and using blending effects, and increasing the contrast, and changing the curves. But you have to figure out where is your light source, how are you going to use that, where is the darkness. Rate my new sig?
  4. Lol. Your espeon one is creative. I like the pentagon brushes. Also, your Shadow sig looks pretty cool, although now that I look at it, its rather grainy and his face is a little bright... still I think it has a cool concept.
  5. After building a team of 6 of the most overused pokemon, I got bored of OU. I haven't really moved to UU yet, but I guess its coming.
  6. Toffeuy, the first one is cool, but the second one is a little weird. The background seems very random and seperate from the render. First one I give 9/10, second I give 7/10, because you did make lots of good efforts to blend background and render. They just didn't work. Mostly coloration problems and texture issues.
  7. Don't turn this into an argument. Ooka, if you need more assistance on your team, maybe you should make specific requests or state problems you've been having to see if we can fix them.
  8. All that depends on what type of signature you're making. In Greencat's sigs, unlike yours, the focus is much more on the effects rather then the render. In yours, the render plays the main part. Effects include the text.
  9. Well, the whole point of team rating is you post all aspects of the team, then we can comment on them. Most people here aren't going to steal your team. If they do use your team, it will be for testing to see if there are any weaknesses that aren't immediately visible. Anyway, I wouldn't be worried about people stealing it; if anything, you should be flattered and consider yourself above those who steal your team. Or, you can consider it helping them along so they can learn how to be more competitive and eventually build their own successful teams. However, based on the information you've given thus far, I can conclude several things. Firstly, your lead (which appears to be Leafeon) doesn't really do anything immediately obvious and falls to many common OU leads. Azelf will take down your Leafeon with Fire Blast, Metagross resists all his attacks and will probably explode to kill you after it sets up, Heatran will kill you, Jirachi will trick a scarf as you try to set up. In general, you're going to have a tough time leading with that. Secondly, your team has very little synergy. It seems like a random collection of pokemon whos only relation is to be part of the Eevee family. Which is fine, but its very difficult to get that to work competitively. Basically any set up sweeper will wreak havoc through your team. The Eons are notoriously bad defensively, barring Umbreon, and a simple setup sweeper like Salamence, Lucario, Latias, Infernape, Dragonite, Suicune, and anyone really will be able to take out the majority of your team with its STAB attacks. The Eons are also quite slow (barring Jolteon). Passing Agility with Jolteon is fine, but a warning: its easy to break a chain of pokemon that are defensively quite weak. I would reccomend dropping the Eeveelution only theme. Its very difficult to work with. You can build a fairly successful team with 3 Eons, but I doubt you could do with more then that. If you post the rest of your team, then we can figure out what needs fixing. Wraith will help me out with that. Also, someone else tried to do this earlier and you can look at their attempt to see some common mistakes and easy fixes to make.
  10. Hmm... I really like what you did with the Lugia. I think I'm going to steal that idea for my next avatar. By the way, really good improvement. I can see you're enjoying some glow effects in that Raikou sig.
  11. Actually randomspot, that bias against Ebay generally is wrong; Power sellers are quite reliable. However you need to be VERY selective when purchasing things on Ebay. In general just buy the game at a retail store. Be sure it is an authorized reseller, because there are some websites that will sell you counterfeit copies of games. I have a fake copy of Emerald that I paid 15$ for sitting several feet away from me, that I couldn't get returned.

    TM Moves!

That seems to be the general pattern. Another thing to note is that the vast majority of competitively viable TM moves are available multiple times. Mainly the holy trinity of Flamethrower/Tbolt/Ice Beam, available from the Game Corner. They cost an unreasonable amount, but you can easily make enough with some Amulet Coin Vs. Seeker farming.
  13. To be honest, I'm just relaying information. My old rain team got lots of crits like that. You can see what people said here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56125 Essentially, I was told that ideally there is 2 physical and 1 special rain sweeper. At least 3 rain setups. The rest generally have synergy to help the rest of the team function. I'm not very good at UU, so... well, thats all the advice I can give.
  14. Alright Pink heres my quick advice here: 1. I still reccomend Gliscor, as hes a great physical wall, but his ice weakness is... bad 2. Skarmory is very difficult to use effectively. Use Brave Bird (very good attack), and Roost, and you'll want to use Whirlwind. Spikes is up to you, if you want to use Whirlwind a lot then you can go with it, but its rather long to set up. However Skarmory gets STEALTH ROCK! Which means you can take Stealth Rock off your Celebi (finally) and use it on a Skarm. I highly reccomend this. Using a Skarmory set with Brave Bird / Roost / Whirlwind / Stealth Rock has setup options and tons of walling potential. Just be careful not to leave it in on a fire attack and liberally switch in Milotic as Skarmory has pathetic special defense.
  15. Your team doesn't make use of rain enough. You want every pokemon in some way to fit into the concept, which is obviously rain. When I tried to make a rain team, I tried to get every pokemon involved, and even then when I posted an RMT over on smogon, I was told to add more rain things. Weezing is outclassed in every way by Registeel and Nidoking should be replaced by another rain sweeper. Just simple stuff.
  16. Several things to point out. First of all, sub-petaya Empoleon will do a massive amount of damage. Torrent boosted Surf is unimaginably powerful. Not to mention Agility will let this Empoleon outspeed much of an opposing team. Aside from that, in your video, you exemplify why Umbreon is bad. Yes, it can take a hit, but its so slow and pathetically weak that it can't do anything to an opponent. The most Umbreon can do is toxic and try to stay alive, which is useless. There are plenty of other things you could use. Cresselia works well, and negates your ground issue. She can also do lots of fun gimmicky stuff like Lunar Dance, but also useful things like Charge Beam, Calm Mind, Wish, and other things that let her stall but proceed to be able to deal damage. Unfortunately Cress is a legendary, but... =| Dusknoir can do something, but lack of instant recovery or anything really makes him bad. Lets see... Gliscor has immunity to ground and resists fighting, along with his massive defense can be a great replacement for Umbreon. Hes also fast, and has plenty of attack and a really useful Earthquake STAB. I highly reccomend him to replace Umbreon. Umm... Yeah, my advice for now
  17. Starting a new game will indeed give you a new Friend Code, but I'm not sure what exactly determines your friend code. Its probably something to do with ID, SID, and your name, but someone with the facts will come at some point.
  18. Okay, since you don't use Shoddy, that changes things. Anyway, lets go: For Arcanine, White Herb + Overheat can work very well; however, beware of Focus Sash. Thankfully Arcanine gets Extremespeed to take out Sashers. Also, a warning, often Metagross runs Occa Berry, which will halve any Fire damage, so you may want to open with Flare Blitz when facing Metagross just in case. By the way, burn halves the opponent's attack, which is massively important against many physical attackers, especially Gyarados. And its great to hit random Arcanine switch-ins, who are often physical and ground or rock type. Still, Flare Blitz + Overheat is very useful and don't get rid of Extremespeed. I would consider W-o-W over Reversal/Toxic. Really, it depends how much you fear Rock types (Tyranitar). If you run Outrage on Dragonite, then using Dragon Fang is acceptable, as it will seriously boost damage. 20% more damage coming from a 180 base power move (including STAB) boosts it to 216 base power, which is a respectable damage boost. If you have access to a Life Orb, consider that. I would use Earthquake over Substitute until you get another Leftovers. For Celebi, I understand your problem, as its very difficult to get multiple Celebi's. Fortunately there is a solution. The great thing about Celebi is that it has base 100 everything, including attack. Not only that, but for a Grass type move which gets STAB, you can use Seed Bomb to get a nice 80 power physical move to replace Grass Knot. Its not a solid replacement but its very unexpected and will do respectable amounts of damage. However if you need Stealth Rock, its worth keeping. I'm going to give you one more piece of advice, and its about Gengar. Gengar is a good special sweeper, but really falls to Scizor with Bullet Punch. Perhaps another special sweeper in the OU group would work. Since you don't have legendaries available, I'd reccomend selecting from this group: Empoleon - SubPetaya can do unbelievable amounts of damage. Torrent boosted Surfs with a petaya boost is extremely powerful. Togekiss - Paraflinch (Paralysis + Flinch) is very powerful, because with Togekiss's Serene Grace, theres little chance of an opponent pulling off an attack. You can also run Nasty Plot if you want. Anyway can't think of any more on the spot.

    TM Moves!

Myume, another thing to consider is this: If the male parent knows a TM or HM move and the baby can learn that same TM or HM, the baby will be born with that move. Also, if a genderless parent knows a TM or HM move when it breeds with Ditto, the baby will be born with that TM or HM move as well. For example, if you want a Swampert that knows the move Ice Beam, and you don't have Ice Beam as a TM, you can breed your Swampert with a male Dewgong that knows Ice Beam. Not only that, but since Dewgong learns Ice Beam as a level up move, this same logic applies there too. So think about that before placing your TMs. In general though, any TM can have use. Ingame, everything works and I promise you that, but competitively, check out this website: http://www.smogon.com/
  20. For once, I completely disagree with wraith. Dragon Dance Dragonite is a Bulkymence lite thats slower. The fact is, with HGSS here, Dragonite has gained an unbelievably useful move: Extremespeed. I've been using this set to extremely good effect on both Smogon and CAP ladders: Dragonite (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Inner Focus EVs: 112 Atk/200 Spd/196 SAtk Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def) - Extremespeed - Draco Meteor - Flamethrower - Superpower As a Mixnite, it works very well. However, the thing is Extremespeed really glues the set together; thunderbolt on the old set was mostly filler, but Extremespeed lets it make the most out of every move it has. Mainly, Dragonite can use Draco Meteor and Superpower in tandem with each other with little drawbacks, as Draco Meteor lowers your special attack and Superpower lowers your attack. Anyway, as for the rest of your team, the simple fact of the matter is that the standard cookie cutter pokemon do outclass the lower tier pokemon. Now that isn't to say the lower tier pokemon shouldn't be considered though. Going a little more into this, Lum Berry Arcanine can work fine as a lead. Your Gengar looks close to standard. However your Celebi does't work. Firstly, SilverPowder really doesn't work. 20% more damage to U-turn may look good on paper, but losing Leftovers recovery is absolutely unacceptable especially considering your strategy with Leech Seed and Protect. Secondly remove Stealth Rock for Grass Knot. Celebi has a fair special attack to work with and its STAB Grass Knot can do quite a bit even to those who resist it, so be ready to use it. It will increase Celebi's usefulness as a whole and her staying power. By the way, you also don't want to use Stealth Rock in the middle of a match. Most teams (barring stall) don't have time to do that: every turn counts. Milotic... ooh it worries me because Suicune does the same thing except better. Then we've got Umbreon. To be honest with you, I'm biased against umbreon because I think its outclassed by other stallers. But thats by the by. The nice thing is, stall pokemon aren't cookie cutter because their underused. There are great stallers in OU that simply don't get used much. I don't think umbreon is quite what you need though. See Umbreon has fantastic defenses but everything else is useless. As such, we need to be thinking about who you're using Umbreon to wall, then other pokemon can be suggested.
  21. You should post in the Avatar/Signature rating thread, or update your old thread by editing your first post.
  22. A mess of effects... exactly intentional. Anyway the name was lowered because high opacity was too defined.
  23. I haven't made a sig in forever, so I kinda forgot everything. Essentially, this is a mixed jumble of crap. Hope you like it.
