Hit Kyogre.

You totally took my line out of context, and answered it out of context too. I was talking specifically about what you said ( prior to my post ) in terms of Bullet punch scizor Ripping through standard hail teams and me having to clarify that Ice is weak to steel ( which in my opinion would just be babying someone who has no idea how to build a team ) in contrast to what you were calling "weak rates." Let me explain it with quotes. Now maybe my comment makes more sense? Anywho, Choice scarf Jirachi is a great lead. It's great at crippling leads by either only letting them set up SR or get stuck into an attack letting someone with an immunity come in and set up. It's definitely worth a test if thats what your looking for. Mamoswine on the other hand is more offensive than most others and can outspeed and Kill heatran but it loses to Metagross/Jirachi/Swampert and sometimes infernape ( The CC/Fire blast + Mach punch/vacuum wave variants. ) Both are solid choices though and I've used both of them fairly well myself.

Hit Kyogre, now I've gotta head to class too. I'll talk to you guys later.

I hope your not referring to my rates as crappy, I try you know. And If I really need to defend my post by telling you that ice is weak to Steel and no ice pokemon aside from wallrein in hail with Substitute and protect can Take a CB bullet punch and not be OHKO'd or 2HKO'd without being able to do much back ( without Hidden power fire ). . . I think you may need to learn a bit more before posting a team here and getting a rate anyway. ANYWAY, I really like the changes to your team Silent, it's similar to a team I used to run around Christmas time. Salamence , Scizor, Azelf and Latias have Wonderful synergy with each other. However without flamethrower on Azelf or Hidden power fire on Latias ( not both, simply one or the other to aid Salamence in having a fire attack ) Scizor can do quite a bit of damage mid game to your entire team ( assuming he's at Full life and you both have Stealth rocks up. ) The SD set takes out Latias, Azelf and your own scizor while +2 superpower OHKO's Lucario and a +2 Brick break has a high chance of doing so. Salamence is your best bet of stopping him, but the beast ( salamence ) tends to go down early game before scizor is shown, or at least be under 60% hp by that time making it an easy OHKO with bullet punch. Also aside from swampert toxic spikes/spikes don't even phaze your team which is incredibly useful on an offensive team. However as I said before you have a scizor weakness, but also a Gyarados, Tyranitar and Salamence weakness. ( DD set's ) After one dragon dance Gyarados takes out most of your team because you lack any Rock/ electric attacks. Electric attacks have that added bonus of giving in free switch in's to lanturn, Jolteon and Electrivire but rock attacks hit so many pokemon for super effective damage that not having at least one leaves you wide open to a lot of potent threats . So I suggest you switch out either Azelf or Scizor for this guy. Gliscor @ leftovers 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Spe Jolly with Hyper cutter Earthquake Stone edge Roost Swords dance I know , It's standard as all hell. But it covers your Gyrados/Salamence weakness really well as he can take one out rage ( please note ONE ) after a Dragon dance and OHKO back with Stone edge, Outpace all non Scarf'd or agility lucario and OHKO with earthquake, Outpace the majority of electrivire and fire types in general and OHKO with earthquake. He provides a neat Ground and electric resist making the perfect switch in to the now popular Choice specs jolteon ( who can wreck havoc on a lot of your team after swampert is gone. ) Hyper cutter also makes him a decent switch in to Gyayardos and Salamence, He resists Tyranitars sandstream and can 2HKO back with earthquake, and if you manage to get a Swords dance in he can even take care of some of his counters trying to wall him.

Please refer here http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?t=977 . Once you've read that, please give us more information on your team. As with what you have right now, we can't even tell if this is a Battle tower/in game/ Competitive team. Ok so , even without EV's spreads I can tell you a lot thats wrong with your team ( and by wrong I don't mean, use standard x. ) First, Garchomp is banned from standard play, so is the move double team. Not to mention the two aren't particularly useful unless your a significantly higher level than your opponent in game anyway. So lets start with porygon- Z, one of the most fearsome, but also one of the most frail, special attackers in the game. Tri attack provides great damage on anything that doesn't resist it, it's a shame the majority of his counters are steel pokemon. So with his fraility combined with the fact that most of his counters are immune to toxic, mean Toxic stalling with recover is NOT a useful option because chances are he's going to be Killed off before Toxic really starts to take it toll ( if it even manages to hit anything ) So I'll suggest this set. Porygon - Z @ life orb 252 Special attack/252 Speed/4 Hp Modest nature with DOWNLOAD Agility Tri Attack Darkpulse Hidden power Fighting/Thunder bolt/Ice beam The last three are all up to you, and after an agility you can outrun Timid Choice scarf gengar ( So every positive speed base 110's holding a choice scarf or slower) I would go with HP fighting if you can get it though, as Tyranitar and heatran have a field day with your team. So onto Download vs adaptability, Download > Adaptability EXCEPT on nasty plot sets. Since this isn't a NP set, Download id preferred. Boosting your special attack to a massive 607 after the boost. Arcanine doesn't have the stats to make Solar beam work and at the same time have thunderfang be even remotely useful ( unless your only job is to take down Gyarados ) If anything try this moveset. Arcanine @ expert belt Naive and flash fire/intimidate 228 Attack/92 Special Attack/88 Speed Flare blitz Extreme speed Overheat Hidden power electric After a Flash fire boost, Flare blitz can OHKO the standard blissey and you have a 6/13 ( according to the smogon analysis ) chance of OHKOing the 252 hp/252 def versions. Extreme speed lets you pick off so many pokemon that it's useful ness can't be described. Hidden power electric lets you hit those water types that will try and switch in, and Overheat lets you dent physical walls like gliscor/hippowdon that may try to come in and wall you. Crobat is outclassed by Umbreon as a mean look toxic staller, so consider maybe making that change, or giving crobat a different role. ( He makes a decent lead, even with Hypnosis drop in accuracy. ) This isn't the R/B/Y generation anymore so drill peck has no business being on a zapdos set. Not to say that a mixed attacker set isn't viable, but the D/P/Pt Metagame is so reliant on switching that nailing most things with a weak physical attack doesn't do much anymore. U-turn is generally a much better move for scouting than losing out on speed or defense just to have a barely mediocre Drill peck. This set is one of zapdos's most fearsome. Zapdos @ leftovers Timid with pressure 252 HP / 160 SpD / 96 Spe Substitute Roost Thunderbolt /Toxic Roar/ Hidden power grass With this moveset, although offense is really limited you can scout an opponents entire team early - mid game with this thing. It also takes care of most of it's common switch in, Tyranitar. It's almost virtually useless late game, but mid game it's functions similar to wallrein in the hail, except instead of causing the death of two pokemon, your job is to whittle down the opposing teams members into KO range of a +2 Lucario Extreme speed or similar pokemon. While also getting a grasp on what their team is and how you should go about the rest of the match. Zapdos makes one of the fastest common users of roar in the game. Forgo toxic for thunderbolt if you have Toxic spikes support. Now in terms of major weakness's, you have a Huge Dragon dance Tyranitar/Gyarados/Salamence weakness , Agility metagross , Sub Heatran really any stat upper ruins your team, you also have a Skarmbliss problem ( that is a simple A- B Alternation between skarmory and blissey walls your entire team ) so by association things like roost zapdos and Curse Swampert do as well. My suggestion for that is to use a stat upper or powerful mixed attacker. Sub Calm mind Jirachi, Swords dance lucario, Swords dance Scizor, Calm Mind roar Suicune, Calm mind latias, Dragon dance Tyranitar/Gyarados/Salamence/Dragonite ( or Mixnite ) or Mixed attacker Infernape all work fairly well too. Whew sorry, I did this in between my class so I'll have to finish up in about 2 hours when I get back. Sorry for the inconvenience. I think I gave you a decent idea of a few problems with your team though.

Cool! I'll give this a try once I get the chance

The 3HKO is with an entirely different move set actually haha, ( Earthquake x 2 is usually a perfect 2HKO, but just to make sure the HP EV's let him stick around for Meteor mash + BP and get the KO with shadow sneak if necessary ) I suggested the EV spread and that the Poster put earthquake on on it ( because gallade can learn earthquake ) However it was quickly ignored for OMG LOL CLOSE COMBAT + DESTINY BOND, YEA CC OL. While Earthquake + Shadow sneak + Close combat + Taunt deals with things like Infernape, Metagross, Jirachi, heatran, and Tyranitar ( as with the HP EV's Crunch/Stone edge + Sandstorm damage will not KO Gallade in on that turn, but the next. Assuming this Tyranitar does not have an Expert belt/Life orb or Choice band though ) Aerodactyl, Azelf and the leads that Gallade can't finish off ( bronzong and Swampert come to mind ) He taunts so they can't do very much. I actually though an Anti lead gallade was cool, but since I only have like a 100 posts on Smogon the Mod's probably thought I was lying when I said I tested the set or something and deleted my second post in that thread haha. All of the above is what I found out through gratuitous testing ( during the time where metagross was literally the ONLY lead in use :] ) I apologize, I totally forgot to suggest the set I was referring to! Sorry! Edit * Almost did it again haha, well here it is. Gallade @ focus sash Adamant with Steadfast 56 Hp/252 Attack/ 200 Speed Close Combat Shadow Sneak Earthquake Taunt The EV's let Gallade outspeed Jolly 252 Speed tyranitar and anything who's aim is to just outspeed that.

Ok so first off, and most importantly: We need role descriptions to rate anything! Secondly we need to know what type of play style you want to use this for. Putting in 5 walls and 1 sweeper and telling us it's an offensive team would make us have to totally rearrange it to get it to do what you told us you wanted it to do. So knowing whether your playing balanced, bulky offense, Stall or heavy offense is important. Third, please keep your format consistent in order for us as raters to actually see the syenergy between pokemon,as it doesn't help anyone this way. Edit * As I was the person on Smogon who gave the OP that EV spread to use, the main reason for it is so that he can Survive Metagross Meteor mash + Bullet punch 100% of the time ( assuming it isn't holding a choice band. ) To get the 3HKO on Metagross. and the added bulk lets him take 3 hits from weak specific special sweepers while not affecting his speed enough where it matters. The sash also lets him survive powerful explosions, which he would not be able to even with heavy HP investment.

Oh wow, I totally missed this. Pretty cool stuff So getting a Jolteon instead of a Munchlax is my incentive to work on the wiki haha? Cool I guess.

Dunsparce needs an evolution hands down. Not only does it have a drill for a tail ( which makes it the second most GAR pokemon ever , first being Rhyperior ) but it has little tiny wings that don't do anything AND serene grace.

The most common leads in competitive battling are Metagross ( explosion ), Bronzong ( explosion ) Heatran ( explosion ) Azelf ( Explosion ), Infernape ( Close combat ) , Roserade ( Sleep powder ) Swampert ( Roar ), Hippowdon ( roar ) All of them easily deal with a first turn Clefable and can setup entry hazards. The now common anti lead Gallade, Weavile and Aerodactyl also Taunt the slower clefable and Gallade + weavile taunt it AND get super effective hits on it with Close combat and Brick break respectively. ( Not to mention gallade + weavile know fake out. ) Also warstorys are fun, Humiliating and good to learn from. Not one or the other, all three. And Wraith fight me sometime tomorrow. Also if you want a ridiculously cheap team,Endeavor + Extreme speed + Focus sash smeargle,Abomnasnow to set up hail, Endeavor + Focus sash Cleffa, Clefairy and clefable and Stallrein. You essentially get a free kill on the first pokemon, take out 3 other members of the opponents team with the three Clef's and then finish off the last 2 with Stallrein ( which only works in the hail ). I made this team a while back and it got me to the leader board on shoddy in 2 days.
