If people like this just stopped posting I wouldn't even take note of it, but they don't and continue to spout garbage all over the place. I just kind of lost it for a minute and grouped together your teams along with it, which from the way it seemed I wasn't that far off. Just that your intentions were different from the aforementioned users.

3.

In competitive battling ( which it is called the Competitive battling sub forum, not general battling or the like ) which Pokemon you use don't matter in the slightest, it's all about strategy and execution of that strategy. 7. No specific renders, just less choppy ones. It's a cool theme though.
8. Since your only really relying on Raindance, this strategy does not need to be pulled at the start of a match. What you should be using your leads for is either KO'ing out the opponent at the start or scouting. A few fun strategy's to use are Surf Ludicolo paired up with Toxic Vaporeon. Ludicolo's surfs heal vappy and at the same time hit both of your opponents. In that same vein using Gyarados + Jolteon/Electrivire with Me first is a decent option to. Any first turn electric attacks aimed at gyarados will go to waste and give Electrvire a free speed boost. Also this lets Gyarados setup at leats one DD at the start of the match. while it heals jolteon from any damage it may have already taken. Electrvire @ Focus sash [ Standard set blah blah blah ] - Me first.
9. Care to explain this? Or is it just more of the useless dribble that keeps popping up? Try and spell my name right next time as well please. And yes only to the 80th -ish position or so as it's not quite as effective against real teams, but it was able to beat the majority of ladder players back when I used it. Edit* This was about 3 - 4 months ago when Abomnasnow wasn't used very often, and Mamoswine was lacking in usage.
10. Fine here's my "gimmick team" I call it - We can be Heroes. Smeargle @ Focus sash Jolly 252 attack/252 speed/ 4 special def Endeavor Extreme speed/Bullet punch Seismic toss Spore Spore the lead while taking a hit, endeavoring whatever switches in and finishing it off with either extreme speed ( Fails on steel/rock type's with leftovers ) or Seismic toss ( anything slower than you ) The only way to possibly avoid this is to use a priority lead , hit it first while taking the spore ( activating sash ) and switching to something either immune to endeavor or Abomnasnow/Tyranitar. ( both of whom can't be the lead as they are outsped and put to sleep. ) Or using one of the many Insomnia pokemon... who only really effectively check this lead, and Choice scarf sleep powder roserade and fail to the majority of common threats. After Smeargle falls ( usually messing up one or two of your opponents pokemon at the very least ) Abomnasnow @ Leftovers Naive 252 HP / 64 Special attack / 192 Speed Wood Hammer Blizzard Brick break Protect The speed lets you just outspeed tyranitar who may switch in, and OHKO them with brick break. After He's gone, all Abomnasnow needs to do is make sure hail is kept up, and he can die a happy Yeti. Blizzard is great in hail, and wood hammer + Brick break are there just to nail switch in's like Tyranitar and swampert. Protect is to scout for potential explosions, and to abuse leftovers recovery and hail damage. Letting Abomnasnow abuse 4x Weakness's very effectively. Now once hail has been assured you bring out these 3 babies, All level 1. Cleffa/Clefairy/Clefable @ Focus sash Timid @ Magic guard 252 Special attack/252 Speed Endeavor Sleep Talk/Endure Shadow Ball Counter I'm fairly sure this makes sense right? With hail up and 3 level 1 Endeavor focus sash users who aren't affected by hail, sandstorm or entry hazards you will be causing your opponent a lot of pain. Just remember to switch them in on a predicted switch/Setup move/ Protect or revenge kill if Abomnasnow died. if you opt to use level 100's and want to be hit to activate the sash, shadow ball lets you hit ghosts who would otherwise wall you, and counter is a nice option against things like wallrein/mamoswine who are immune to hail damage. The 6th and final member of the team, the glue so to speak. Walrein @ leftovers Bold @ Ice Body 220 HP / 240 Def / 48 Speed Protect Substitute Roar Toxic ( or blizzard/icebeam if you don't care about toxic to speed up the process. ) Stallrein! Yea, after you decimate 4 of your opponents pokemon ( possibly even 5 with Abomnasnow and Smeargle's spore ) You start the slow hail-stall process that takes out the remaining two members of your opponents team. The only real weakness's to this set are Hippowdon/Tyranitar that show up late game to tray and roar you out AND Toxic spikes. However by this time your opponent should be on his last legs, letting you take out his team with hail. And hopefully they weren't expecting a wallrein finish, so they didn't have time to set up T-spikes.
11. I really like the design, however the Lugia and Ho-Oh renders you have up top are pretty bad stock cuts/ Renders. The Ho-oh is passable but the Lugia is pretty terrible. Is there a chance you could fix this? Planetrenders.net or Photobucket > Stock photo's might have a few better ones.
12. So there's a real lack of strategy here, yes you have instant hail! But that doesn't make this a stall team. Your only ice moves are on the Hailer, with Ice shard on Mamoswine. Hail isn't like sandstorm where it grants defense boosts and whatever else. ONLY ice pokemon are immune to passive damage from hail, but moves like Blizzard get such a huge boost in power from it that Hail, despite its shortcomings, is a viable and powerful strategy. You also have no way to deal with most Scizor ( most run enough HP EV's and can survive one CB EQ from Mamoswine and scare you out with bullet punch.) lucario or Tyranitar and they are the bane of stall teams. This is something that needs to be addressed. Now I'm not a huge fan boy of smogon, but many of their articles are quite useful . Check out this one on Hail stall. http://www.smogon.com/dp/articles/art_hail_stall
13. The power doesn't matter as the goal is to hit things for super effective damage, mainly dragons and ground types that may switch in, or the occasional scarf gengar who dies to dark pulse/Crunch.
14. Yea! Zone of the enders: The second runner was by far the best one in the series. With the GBA one being the worst . I think Konami just made a rerelease of ZoE2, as rumors are out that Kojima is going to start working on a ZoE3 game for the PS3 and 360. So maybe try and find that if you can ( like 10$ )
15. Fear Factory - Bite the hands that bleeds. Pretty cool song, apparently not as heavy as their other stuff but Archetype is a decent album.
16. I enjoyed reading the Inverse Metagame article. It felt like Smogons official statement regarding what exactly their tier system was based on. It also gave some insight as to WHY so many pokemon fall short of being classified as "OU" as oppose to just stating criteria for OU and UU. People just don't seem to get what the tier system or competitive battling is about yet though, so hopefully "The smog" helps bring out a more easily understandable definition of competitive battling while adressing the " why isnt X OU!, I can sweep/wall teams with x if I use it properly" Kind of mentality that many people suffer.
17. Heroes - David Bowie. Fucking beautiful song.
18. But thats like suggesting the same for a pokemon like rampardos. Rampardos @ Choice Specs 6 Hp/ 252 Special attack/252 speed Timid with Mold breaker Thunderbolt/Thunder Flamethrower/Fireblast Surf Icebeam/Hidden power Ground/Rock. Whats the point when it takes 3 Nasty plot's passed to him WITH choice specs for him to rival that of the majority of special sweepers without having to set up? He does more damage with a move like tackle then he will with specially based ones like this. The same can be said about Weavile. Edit* Battling for fun and battling competitively are completely different, you cannot change the definition of competitive to suit how you want to play to encompass sets like these. Competitive is battling to win, and having fun creating and using the most direct and effective move sets in order to win. By using what your calling "fun" sets, your NOT battling competitively at all.
19. Lucario is a monstrous LATE GAME sweeper, so by then your team has taken out any pokemon that could give him problems or paralyzed the entire opposing team. Lucario is not the "end all sweeper" given the right set. Why give him a choice scarf?!!? HE LEARNS AGILITY! Just switch in to something that can't do much back, Blissey without thunderwave? Anything choice locked onto a dark/steel/poison/bug/grass/ice attack will also do. Weak normal type attacks? He is rarely short of opportunities to come in and set up, while it doesn't pack the punch of the SD set, Agility + 3 special moves lets it do what you need it to. Unless being locked in HP ice and letting that Gyarados setup a DD is what your aiming to do? Choice items server a very specific purpose, sweeping through teams is not one of them. Countering specific threats is always good, just make sure your not pursuit weak otherwise your just Tyranitar bait.
20. Or it could just be an allusion to the many poems, sayings and phrases that talk about 2 destined people, brothers to the end, true friends et cetera,. where the most common analogy is the distinction between silver and gold? Anyway pokefan, get on shoddy and battle me.
21. http://pokemon.marriland.com/platinum/pokedex/trapinch/ is where I usually go for my in game needs, but if you have no luck with it and another site backs up your claim, marriland is probably wrong then.
22. No, I said he has no place on a Stall team, and no place on an offensive team. he works fine on a balanced team, but gliscor is a GREAT replacement for him, it also helps with your Metagross weakness among other things. Although you may want to consider swapping out Swords dance for U-turn, but thats entirely up to how you want to play gliscor and Swords dance also has its specific uses.
23. Italian, Irish and french, it makes for an ugly mix haha.
24. AND....Sorry to say mate, but thats wrong. Base 100 with 252 speed and a neutral nature = 299 Speed. Base 90 with 252 Speed and a Positive nature = 306 Speed. What you need( on base 100's ) is a Positive nature and 176 speed EV's to outspeed ALL non scarfed base 90's. Which also lets you outspeed all base 100's without a positive nature and more speed EV's than you. Yes, they do! but misinformation should be a crime.
