Gyarados is not a late game sweeper, Stealth rock prevents him from that, he is in fact an early game-midgame havoc wrecker who's main goal is to force switches and make your opponent show their hand much earlier than they should, or in the case of fighting someone who has no idea what to do, sweep their entire team. If you want an "Non smogon set" as so much of this forum seems to keep crying on about use this. Gyarados @ Leftovers 252 Attack/252 Speed/4 hp Substitute Earthquake Stone edge Dragon dance This lets you switch in on something that can't do much, sub up on a resisted hit or a switch and either kill their counter, damage whatever they switched in or Start dragon dancing up if the opponent wasn't smart enough to switch to a proper counter. ( jolteon and electrivire are NOT proper counters. ) lack pf Physical stab hurts a little bit, but those two moves give you much better coverage in 2 attacks. . . . Even if this for real life play, Gengar learns Darkpulse, Thunderbolt, energy ball, psychic among other things through TM's. Try this set. Gengar @ Life orb Timid with levitate 252 Special attack/252 speed/ 4 hp Thunderbolt Shadowball Explosion Focus blast/Energy ball Focus blast lets you OHKO tyranitar who may try to switch in, Thunderbolt takes out bulky waters, Energy ball kills off swampert and Shadowball is great STAB that dents a lot of things, and when all said and done, You can even explode on something. Just make sure scizor's dead first. If your team needs a great revenge killer, use Modest Choice scarf gengar, same EV spread with Thunderbolt, shadow ball, Explosion/Trick and Hidden power ice/Focus blast. Rhyperior and swampert are worlds apart role wise, so I see what you mean by nothing, but he said himself he wants an offensive team, and everyone here is suggesting "balanced team" pokemon. That said, this is a terrible set. Rhyperior can only wall things with substitute and sandstorm in play, but his main selling point is that unlike walls he can KO many of his commons switch ins ridiculously easy from behind a sub. Use this set for "walling" Rhyperior @ Leftovers Ability: Solid Rock EVs: 132 HP/192 Atk/168 Spd/16 SDef Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Substitute - Swords Dance - Earthquake - Stone Edge / Megahorn switch in to a physical attacker, sub up on the switch ( or lol at them when they fail to break your substitute ) setup a swords dance and kill whatever is in. After 1 swords dance, Earthquake OHKO's swampert and and whoever else might try to come in that doesn't have intimidate . ( not to mention It's cool ) The speed lets it outspeed Swampert/Machamp/Porygon2 , major counters to most of OU's premier physical attackers. Just remember to have a Tyranitar/Hippowdon setup sandstorm before you bring this thing out,as even STab grassknot from celebi isn't enough to take this beast down ( assuming celebi DOESNT have life orb though ) with sandstorm up, letting you OHKO it with Megahorn. Now with Rhyperior/Gyarados AND metagross as set up sweepers, you DO NOT need DDmence, what you do need is a way to "crack stall wide open" as smogon puts it. Change DD mence to one of the two "mixmence" sets since he makes one of the best wallbreakers in the game. Now despite having gyarados and Salamence ( both SR weak pokemon ) whats good is that neither of them is affected by Spikes or toxic spikes, which is mence's advantage over infernape as a wallbreaker against stall. Whew, thats it for now.

Magnezone does not need Magnet rise, it needs Magnezone @ choice scarf Naive nature with Magnet pull 6 Hp/252 Special attack/ 252 Speed Thunderbolt Hidden power fire/ice Explosion Flash cannon/Signal beam This lets you outspeed and kill EVERY SINGLE non choice scarfed steel type pokemon ( non ubers of course ) and get the OHKO or in the case of high special defensive types, the 2HKO with hidden power fire or thunderbolt ( fire is needed for scizor, but thunderbolt does about the same to Lucario and metagross. ). You also outspeed DD mence, Nite and dos before a dragon dance. Because Magnezone is bulky he can take a +1 Adamant Life orb outrage from salamence and OHKO back with HP ice, or 2HKO it with thunderbolt ( although the recoil damage after the second attack will kill Mence anyway ) Gengar is more commonly scarfed now , NOT as a lead because he makes one of the best revenge killers thanks to his 130 base special attack and 110 base speed ( as most CS Pokemon usually run 100 base speed or lower, aside from things like Azelf ) so he can even get surprise kills on things like Heatran/Flygon/Roserade, pokemon that commonly run Choice scarf. Gengar with a focus sash if it isn't your lead is almost useless. With the omnipresence of SR, hail and sandstorm ( he has tyranitar on his team by the way ) and the fact that he has no rapid spinner mean focus sash is a poor choice, Life orb or choice scarf seems to be the far superior option as scarfgar can help an offensive team come back from a mis-prediction . With tyranitar at a choice band, pursuit makes him a great trapper. I was actually planning on making a novelty team using Magnezone/Tyranitar/Weavile/Dugtrio /Scizor and Life orb gengar. Although I haven't tested this yet, so it's probably not very good. The first four pokemon trap things like no other, scizor scouts and wears pokemon down with U-turn and Life orb gengar hits things hard haha. I don't know why so many people have had problems with fire fox, I've been using it for 2 years and I haven't had a single problem with ANY of the three versions I've run. Firefox>Internet explorer. Although I've been using Songbird lately, which is a media player that also serves as a web browser, and thats been fun.

Well Flygon has to result to using neutral hits with STAB outrage or super effective hits with Earthquake to really kill much, Thunderpunch is there only to revenge kill weakened starmie/Tentacruel/Gyarados and U-turn isn't supposed to kill things( aside from typical dragon counters who are weak to bug, like celebi and Choice scarf starmie ), but weaken them enough for either someone else to sweep, or put them into kill range for Flygon's Choice scarf outrage. And although the power drop from Adamant to jolly is a big one, your team is overall full of "bulky" sweepers. meaning in terms of synergy Flygon seems to need that extra speed in order to kill take out serious threats to your team. Scarf'd pokemon that are mean to revenge kill mid game, and sweep late game like Scarf Hera and ScarfTran are meant to be the "final" pokemon left usually. Timid heatran needs stealth rocks damage to assure a OHKO on that bronzong. Use this spread 252 hp/18 attack/240 special defense @ Sassy/calm/Careful To always survive one fire blast from timid heatran after SR damage, with no leftovers. Switching lets your opponent get a free hit in, and assuming your opponent is stupid and is going to waste that opportunity is no way to build a team for neither shoddy or wifi. But if you simply use an attack on an easy to predict switch, the match can be turned in your favor in a single turn. Thats just a waste of a moveslot then, Not to mention tyranitar single handedly makes a variety of pokemon useless in todays metagame just up and giving him something to kill puts you at a one member disadvantage. Starmie can switch into something that doesn't threaten it, hit tyranitar ( and a myriad of other things ) for super effective damage and with a modest nature can even 2HKO Tyranitar ( assuming you hit it on the switch , as crunch and pursuit are OHKO's ) Fortress walls to death the physical set and lets you set up tons of entry hazards, gyro ball is also a 3HKO or 2HKO depending on how he's EV'd too.

Flygon wants Jolly and 180 speed EV's to be able to revenge kill all salamence that do no not run more than 176 Speed and a positive speed nature EV's after 1 dragon dance. However what you actually want is Jolly and 220 Speed EV's, Why? Because this lets you outrun ALL salamence and Modest Choice scarf Gengar. That makes Flygon a real all around revenge killer. Also STAB earthquake > Fire punch on Flygon. STAB on earthquake and Outrage is what makes running jolly even an option as his attack stat is less than Stellar. Now bronzong really does need his bulk But try out this set Bronzong @ Light clay 144 Hp/144 Attack/220 Special defense Careful with levitate Earthquake Explosion/Hypnosis Reflect Light screen Because most of his EV's are sunk in Special defense, setting up reflect first makes this guy pretty hard to kill, just watch out for fire attacks. Earthquake lets you hit incoming heatran/magnezone/infernape/lucario all for super effective damage. Despite claydol's good stats, great ability and wonderful movepool. HE DOES NOT MAKE A GOOD SPECIAL WALL! He's one of my favorite pokemon, but as he's 2x weak to Ice/grass/water/ghost AND dark even his great special defense doesn't help him too much as all of those are common special attacking types. His two immunities are useful for switching in, but without at least 1 Calm mind he's not going to be scoring a lot of damage outside of super effective hits. Letting things like tyranitar ( who will pursuit your or set up a DD in your face ) and claydol's many other counters, switch in for free. However if you just use claydol to setup utilities like bronzong and counter a few specific sweepers I'm sure it does work. Just don't rely on him to wall special attacks in a pinch. On heatran, being locked into will o wisp against something like Curse Lax/Curse tar or CM suicune can be the end of a game for you, CHange that move to Magma storm if you want a high rick high reward attack or flash cannon for more coverage. ( Hidden power grass/Electric work well too. ) Also change his nature to Timid/Hasty otherwise choice scarf Adamant heracross outspeeds you. Whew, anyway I've gotta go. Someone else can pick up where I left off.

Regice is a pretty sweet Ice pokemon. That, or Mamoswine.

Interesting team, I can't give you a full rate right now but theres a couple of things that need to be said Crunch > Payback on a curse set. It's not a power issue but a PP issue that's important. Without rest + sleeptalk paybacks meager PP is easily stalled out by pressure pokemon or skarmory, while with Crunch the defense drop can be skarmory's demise. But since you have a Sub set, Crunch is by far the better option. Stone edge also lets you hit Salamence/Gyarados for Super effective damage but Earthquake proves you with some much needed coverage. However as your team should take care of most threats to T-Tar stone edge might be the better choice. for gliscor use this spread, as it lets you outspeed all Lucario except choice scarf ones. ( which are lol ) Gliscor @ leftovers 252 Hp/ 40 X / 216 Speed Jolly with Hyper cutter Swords dance/Taunt Roost Earthquake Stone edge/Aerial ace This lets you outpace all lucario and OHKO with Earthquake. Now the last 2 moves and 40 EV's are kind of important. If you opt for 40 attack EV's, go with swords dance and stone edge. Defense EV's go with Aerial ace and taunt. As it lets you take hits and stop stat uppers et cetera. Special defense EV's go with Swords dance and stone edge. SD + stone edge and 40 special def ev's lets you only take 35% from Zapdos's Heatwave, Swords dance and roost up accordingly and then take it out with stone edge.

I have actually never seen an entire Pokemon movie. I guess I'll totally go and see this one with my little brother if It comes out this summer haha. When does it come out by the way?
