  1. I would bet most of the cut scenes shown were of the intro (except maybe Ho-Oh with the Tin Tower). If you notice, Ho-Oh was flying through the sky and Lugia skimming the sea floor, VERY similar to how they did so in the intros of Gold and Silver during the "Push Start" screen.
  2. Besides the Gyarados that are practically given to you in GSC, my first shiny was a Medicham on my way to Snowpoint in Diamond. Couldn't have caught me at a worse time too, cause I had just captured two other Medichams, four Sneasels, and two Snover. So I didn't have any Pokeballs left. I felt terribly sad having to kill it. My next shiny, the one I actually caught, was a Grimer on like my 12th play through of LeafGreen. I had plenty of Pokeballs for him...but I don't like him. -.-
  3. People do trade. And I'm sure Dialga/Palkia are one of the first Pokemon they ask for if they have the alternate game. I remember GameFAQs when D/P were first released. Dialga, Palkia, and Manaphy topics GALORE.
  4. I'll just stop you right here before we continue on in a back and forth of Q&A's forever. Arceus has a catch rate of 3 because Gamefreak programmed it to have a catch rate of 3 (Like most other Legendary Pokemon, and some other tough to find ones. ie. Beldum). All the data you are curious about is stored within the game ROM so that it runs properly, without it, the game would not function, obviously. People, like those on this website, are able to hack into the ROM and extract the information. This is how we get basically everything, including the sprites, catch rates, steps for an egg to hatch, move sets, move tutor/TM/HM elidgeability, Pokemon locations, Pokemon encounter rates, etc. ie. Nobody is going to actually go through all 500+ Pokemon (including alternate forms) and try to teach them every TM to see what they can learn. All the information is found within the games data by people skilled enough to find it, and them presented to us in a manner us "common folk" will understand.
  5. Exploud is the only one out of those that you posted that even looks decent. As for which shinies I like? The cooler looking ones. lol Charizard, Spiritomb, Heatran, Rotom, Rayquaza, Metagross, Flygon, Umbreon, Gyarados, Togepi, Gastly, Magneton, Venonat, Dragonite (I just always imagine him a bit darker than he is). The ones that kinda look good. Which shinies I don't like? Almost all the others. Green Espeon...urk. Mustard Lucario... bleck. Ruby Scorupi... gah. No offense to anyone, but alot of these color choices are hideous.
  6. The poster you quoted is right, as are you. The event Arceus also unlocks a mini event in Platinum involving a Hiker at the Oreburgh mines and the Canalave library. Not much comes from it except you obtaining a Flame Plate and learning a little more about Arceus and Sinnoh's mythology (as well as being able to reread it anytime afterword by having a book placed in the library with everything the Hiker said.).
  7. Both for the Tower, and Gold/Color for the Hall and Factory. My game froze in my Factory challenge and I got a DQ, so I actually have to do all 49 battles. As for Pal Parking, I REALLY wish someone would be able to find an AR code the would allow constant transfer. I can currently transfer around 42-50 a day before I get too bored to do any more, but I have the full Hoenn Dex including: All 202 Hoenn Dex Pokemon. All Hoenn Dex Pokemon with 4th generation gender differences. The special Pokemon with battles initiated via overworld interaction. ie Kecleon, Voltorb, Electrode, Sudowoodo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, etc. That might not be it, I really can't remember... Oh yeah, the 3 Johto Starters from Birch too. But with that many Pokemon, if I did 6 a day, HGSS would be out in the US before I was done. lol I could always do it in mass and get it done in like 4-5 days, but I'd be so sick of Pokemon for like a month afterward.
  8. Maybe they don't like the other two, maybe they already own the other two, of just possibly, they understand just how awesome Giratina is. Personally, Dialga was my dragon mascot of choice when D/P came out. I liked Giratina then too, but now that he has an alternate, and cooler, looking form, he's my choice.
  9. Yeah, I'm using the calculator. (And hoping its right. =P) Once I find Munchlax, I will immediately slather the tree after I catch it and hope I am lucky enough to have the percentages roll in my favor (like they should -.-) and have another Munchlax appear. After I catch it and evolve it into a Snorlax, I will have completed my Sinnoh Dex via capturing all Pokemon in that Dex without outside help. AFTER that, I will finish up the Battle Frontier and obtain my final 4 prints. I dunno what will be on my to do list after that. Maybe finish Pal Parking over my complete Hoenn Dex? That will take months though if I don't change the internal clock.
  10. Honey Tree checking on Route 111, 115, 110 (South) and Fuego Ironworks up to 3 times a day. That's all. Finding Munchlax is practically my final Mission. :kikkoman:
  11. All Pokemon have a set number of steps for their egg to hatch in case you hack the game. Its a place holder to prevent the game from "crashing" (Similar to the ??? Arceus), or in this case prevent a bad egg. ie. If you hack a Darkrai egg into your game, and the game was not programmed with a set number of steps for the egg to hatch, the egg would NEVER hatch. -------------- As for your Skorupi.... just chuck the balls at it. Its all luck anyway.
  12. Legal is a program that has to have the database updated in order to keep up with recent releases. As such, the Pikachu-Colored Pichu is a recent event, and Legal hasn't been updated in a while. In short, its fine. It isn't hacked.
  13. Adding in the Jagged-Ear Pichu in the second one with Pikachu makes a lot more sense, as I was having a hard time thinking of how Pikachu would fill that odd pose all by himself. I can totally see the poses they take in it now. The final Arceus one on the right (One thal looked like a Raichu to me. lol) makes more sense pose wise as well, but while I was expecting multiple of Arceus, 3 of 'em was more than I was thinking they'd go with.
  14. Thanks. I'd have more than happily played through to get everything with a single OT as well, but I don't own the game. Since money is tight, I won't be buying it anytime soon either, unless I can find it for extremely cheap.
  15. No problem, I just like clear details. If it is eventually revealed the the Shinto Ruins are within Alph via some unlocked cave passage or some new weird part of the event, I will more than gladly admit I was wrong. But as it stands right now, the is just more proof they are outside of Alph. As for Pokemon Sunday, I need to head over to Filb to watch the cut down version. Thanks for the reminder. EDIT: Well, that was a let down. It was practically the same video we already saw. I was hoping for at least something a little bit new. I'm normally a pretty patient person, but waiting for more details on this game, let alone the game itself... its like being a kid at Christmas who can only open his presents when the whole family is up, but everyone else rather sleep in.
  16. You are probably right about them showcasing the Jagged-Eared evolutions, but I'm not going far enough out on that limb to say that just yet, simply because the parts of the ears we can see look normal as of right now. Though with it being Pikachu AND Raichu, I don't really see any other reason. for Raichu to be included.
  17. Because it's Pokemon, and they've done this before in the past. They love to whore out the series mascot and the mascot of whatever movie is out at the time.
  18. The keychains are Arceus, Pikachu, and Raichu. You can tell its them pretty easily. Excuse the terrible drawings. 1. I don't really know the poses. and 2. I just wanted to prove my point, not paint a mural. lol
  19. To the US, HGSS don't even officially exist to us, as Nintendo of America haven't acknowledged their existence and won't until they feel like it. Release dates aren't a year apart, they are about 6 months. They normally get their games in early Fall, and we get them in late Spring. I can hope they will show some more details for HGSS, but for some reason I don't think any significant information will be released until the next CoroCoro.
  20. What a contribution to the the discussion. And sorry wraith, I have a widescreen monitor set on the max resolution. I forget how much space stuff takes up even when it takes up so little on mine. Guested, if you look at the few Ruins of Alph pictures and videos we've had, they look like they have had a rather huge overhaul. Since they are now actually RUINS, instead of just caves, it looks like they reorganized for a better visual presentation... not the way I was trying to say that, but I'm sure you get what I mean. I really think that is the research house, and the Shinto Ruins are in an alternate area. The snow is the real proof point here anyway. If there was any real proof for both ruins being in the same spot, I'd be more than willing to concede the point, but the evidence is just way to against it at this point.
  21. I was under the impression that the Shinto Ruins are in some other part of the region, and that the Ruins of Alph mini event just allows you access to the temple where ever they actually are. If you look, you can see the first screen shot is clearly in the Ruins of Alph, and the man you are talking to about Arceus is one of the scientist in that little house doing Unown research. The only other exits we know of in the area are the north and east exits onto the joining routes, and the entrances into the ruins, as well as the entrance leading to the Dark Cave. Now, they COULD add another exit or something, but I don't think so. And I guess Arceus could just teleport you , being almighty and stuff. But Gamefreak likes to make us work for stuff. The next three shots you see the place where you go to get one of the Dragon Trio, the Shinto Ruins. In the first picture the player and Arceus are walking a path with a house to the right of them, as well as SNOW EVERYWHERE. I don't know about you, but I can't see snow anywhere around the Ruins of Alph, the only things there are a couple of joining routes, Violet, Goldenrod, Azalea, and the National Park, none of which seem like good candidates for snow. As for the Shinto Ruins themselves, while it looks like the Ruin of Alph buildings, its a different color, and out front you see the broken pillars similar to those at the Sky Pillar. My best guess of where the Shinto Ruins are would be Blackthorn, Mt. Silver, or a new area, based on the cold climate. Maybe somewhere in Kanto, but I really doubt that.
  22. Naw, I got it under control. That way I have the the versions that will be going into the collection instead of waiting like everyone else. =P I'll PM them to you when I'm done. Well, Ho-Oh is officially mine. 100 battles and not a single loss, though there were a few close calls with losing my Groudon to some instant Solar Beams. I will now transfer the last 4 Pokemon from Colosseum to my GBA and will begin Pal Parking the rest and editing what needs it. Shouldn't take more than 2 hours if I get distracted. =P -------------- EDIT: Done. All 52 Pokemon available from Colosseum (Minus the Bonus disk Jirachi, which I don't have access to.) have been compressed and PMed.
  23. There is no proof that the Shinto Ruins are anywhere near the Ruins of Alph. How is there snow on the Shinto temple but not anywhere near the Alph ruins? I doubt there is that big of a temperature change within the small area the Ruins of Alph takes up. While its unnecessary to list ALL the steps, its seems at least logical to list the events trigger area as well as the place the event takes place.
  24. http://www.pokemon.co.jp/anime/movie/pichu_present/index.html If I'm right, its the third bullet under the picture of them playing in front of the Ilex Shrine.
