    If you were commenting on my statement about Pokemon placement, you misinterpreted my meaning. I didn't mean placement in the Dex, I mean in the region itself. They have had years to think about this and have plenty of space now, so I'm sure the Pokemon placement will be better thought out, though still pretty similar. ex.) Houdour or Slugma in the Burnt tower?

    Actually, I'm really hoping for the return of the Unown'Dex. And I also hope that it updates them in order of the alphabet instead of catch order like the form feature of the Dex in D/P/Pt. That and I can't wait to walk around Johto with a Mewtwo, Deoxys, or almost any other legendary behind me. The only sad part is that the NPCs won't react to it. Imagine having a Legendary or a Wailord walking behind you and the NPCs just watching you walk by like "WTF?!".

    I'm pretty sure that "church" is the lighthouse in Olivine City. The new port is probably just an aesthetic change to Olivine so it seems more useful as said port instead of just a coast with a light house. I'm willing to bet that the Pokemon placement has at least been revamped. I hated that half the Johto Pokemon couldn't be caught until Kanto.

And you know why they did this, so that they had all the sprites for when you put your Pokemon in the daycare. Though this raises the question how Pokemon with larger sprites are going to work. Can you imagine your little character trotting along with the big old Origin for Giratina or Regigigas sprites following behind you? They wouldn't fit in most of the rooms you go into. Also, Arceus event with a Level 1 Giratina, Dialga, or Palkia is confirmed. Why its included, no idea, but its true.... Not sure how much I like the Poke'Dex, Poke'Gear, and other menu upgrades. I'm used to the rounded one with a smooth look to them in D/P/Pt and these new ones look a bit square/sharp/boxy. I'm sure I'll adjust though, but I doo like the touch screen functionality thats been implemented into everything. Almost everything in HGSS seems to be getting a huge overhaul.

    Or a 150 years ago, they just hadn't decided on a species name for 3 said Johto/Kanto Pokemon that died? Professor Rowan is still discovering new Pokemon at age 60, so add another 90 years onto that into the past and there is no telling what species of Pokemon had been scientifically classified yet. Don't forget, the Poke'Dex was only just completed during FR/LG/R/S/E (as of the new continuity).

    Just a note, the bit about Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina being in game is just a rumor right now. The scan shows Cynthia and Arceus as well as text saying "given the choice to chose one life of 3". For all we know, it could be Arceus revealing why he chose Giratina to inhabit the Torn World. As for Celebi being included, that's pretty much a definite, even if they don't announce it till after the release. Celebi hasn't been available legitimately to hardly anyone, making it a very rare legend, and even more so out of Japan. On the subject of the white rock, I really hate to think they would cram MORE Sinnoh legends in after we just had 3 games with them. I'd like more to think that tghhe white rock would be more related to Jirachi, similar to the one in Hoenn which was never utilized. (A NPC said that the rock was special to the Space Center and people of Mossdeep, and it was used to wish for safe launches by placing a wish tag upon it.) The rock may activate when you approach it with Jirachi and unlock a new area, possibly full of meteorites to change Deoxy's forms within HGSS? I dunno, a thought though.

    Like this... Image from Pokebeach....again. lol I'm excited about this though. The fact that it unlocks something special, said to be an area, in HGSS means it will be distributed here in the US too, just like Platinum's Regigigas. woot!

    Jirachi being included as an in-game event's possiblility just went down to about zilch, though he could still be included, as they had given out Darkrai as an event and then finally released the in-game item to obtain him yourself in Platinum much later. I really don't see him being included now, but you never know with Game Freak. This just leaves Mew, Mewtwo, Lati@s, and Deoxys. Granted Mew and Deoxys were already released in the 4th Gen in Ranch and as a WC event, so we may not actually see them either, leaving only the Latis and Mewtwo, who I expect to be included in the game as Post National Dex Pokemon.     That's what I meant when I said that. I too like completing most the in-game events or quests, the only thing I stay away from is contests, cause I really dislike them. I'm currently aiming to defeat the Battle Frontier in Platinum so I can finish out my villa's decorations. As for the Kyogre, if it does require one from HG with a Fateful encounter flag and you don't wanna buy HG, I'd be more than willing to just trade you one. I always make save states in front of important locations such as Legendary battles or gift Pokemon, so I can get multiple without cloning or breeding (If they can). Random thought, the Arcues and Cynthia event doesn't make much sense to me. In D/P/Pt, Cynthia reveals information about the Legendaries of Sinnoh, but she never mentions that she has ever actually met any of them before the player came along, let alone Arceus, the Original One. And the events in HGSS take place before the events in Sinnoh, you can tell because the Red Gyarados TV documentary is shown at the beginning of D/P and the Red Gyarados is not discovered until about half way through Johto games main story. Cynthia has probable reason to be in Johto, to collect the Secret Potion she gives you to cure the Psyduck's headache. Though I have no idea what she could possibly do with Arceus before/afterward. Oh, BTW, this means that Jasmine is also still in Johto for her Gym Challenge and would likely have left afterward, even though I doubt she will actually leave during the game events.

    I'm sure they will, the Rival battles in Platinum and Drifloons appearance on Fridays seem to suggest they will. It's practically the same thing, so I'm positive it won't be any trouble for them to include in the remake, be stupid not to actually. Well, if you add up all the Ledgends in Platinum compared to HGSS, even if they include all the Legends that aren't currently available in the 4th Gen right now (15), Platinum (20 including in-game events) is still ahead by 5. This doesn't include the rumors that Shaymin, Arcues, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina maybe in the game as well though. I'd be willing to bet that Kyogre and Groudon within HGSS will have the Fateful Encounter tag checked. I mean, if you have the 3rd Gen Titans, then you more than likely don't need the ones available within HGSS. To me at least, it makes more sense for the in-game titans to unlock each other rather than those from the 3rd Gen.

    I'm not going as far to say there will be NO Pal Park, but I really don't think there will be one. I mean, even though it would be useless for the DSi, they may include it for those who still have DS Phats or Lites. If there is one thing Game Freak has proven when it comes to Pokemon games, they can be pretty unpredictable.

    Hoenn Trio Rival and Elm Cynthia Arcues Event *CoroCoro images from Pokebeach* There is the proof for the Hoenn Legends. After beating the Elite 4, Kyogre will appear in HeartGold, and Groudon in SoulSilver, and catching them in their respective game then bringing both into one game will unlock Rayquaza in it. There is also apparently a Cynthia/Arceus event in HGSS. and the rumor is if you transfer the Movie Arceus to HGSS, and you may be able to unlock/capture Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina. As the screen shows text of someone (Arceus or Cynthia most likely) saying something along the lines of being " given the right to choose one life out of three" with three symbols on the ground. ------------------------- As for my opinion on this, it brings up a concern. While I like the inclusion of as many legendaries as possible, me being a collector and the legends being my favorite Pokemon, I'm very much enjoying Platinum and HGSS including as many as possible. But the CoroCoro page says that the Hoenn Super Ancient Trio will be available after defeating the Elite 4, but I can't believe they would release the titans only after defeating Johto's Elite 4. While beating the Elite 4 signifies the beating of the main story part of the game, at least in the originals (Kanto was more like a side quest with little to it), I'm hoping this isn't hinting towards Kanto's removal in the remake. Hope not though. And for the record, I knew these guys would be included, and I'm expecting the Lati twins and Mewtwo as well to be included at the very least, if not the rest of the legendaries that aren't currently available in the 4th Gen in event item format. Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh are guaranteed to be in and Celebi is very probable as an in game Event Pokemon. That left Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Mewtwo, and Mew as unaccounted for. Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza were just confirmed, so now we only have the Lat@s twins, Jirachi, Deoxys, Mewtwo, and Mew. I wouldn't be surprised if Lati@s were roaming the map and exclusive in some way, by game or by character gender? I also expect Mewtwo to be within the game, possibly after beating Red, and that would leave Jirachi, Deoxys and Mew as in game Event Item Pokemon to finish out the list. Most people claim that to be too many Legends, I welcome it though.

    Maybe because there were no female Rocket Grunts in the original games, so they waited until the new area they added to add in the female grunts. I actually liked the adding of female grunts in GSC, so seeing them in FRLG was a welcomed surprise.

    I know Nintendo loves to make you have to buy multiple games to complete the Pokedexes, but they are also fazing out the use of the 3rd generation carts with their move in making the DSi. Not everyone can use a GBA cart to obtain the GBA exclusive Pokes. Yes, all the stuff was already accessed by Red, but its not like that really matters. The birds and Mewtwo were removed from GSC because they had already been captured or defeated by Red, then in Platinum it is revealed that the birds were defeated and migrated to Sinnoh, possibly roaming to find a new suitable home. that leaves more than enough room for Mewtwo to have been defeated and residing somewhere new within Johto or Kanto, or if they feel like being uncreative, within Cerulean Cave again (though redesigned,. bits and pieces could still have caved in and changed the layout instead of closing off the whole entrance.)

    You also seem to forget that this is a remake on a DS cart, they won't have to worry about saving space by removing maps from the Kanto region (Like the Unown/Cerulean Cave, Viridian Forrest, or Mt. Moon.) There is a 50/50 shot for any of the Kanto region stuff that was removed or downgraded in the original GSC to be included in full this time around,... except maybe the 3 birds, since they were in Platinum I'd say they have 15-25% shot of being included in the remake.

    I actually really liked the remakes, and most of the stuff I hear you guys complaining about didn't really faze me. Music: I normally play with my music turned off after I beat the game and down real low before that. I'm sorry, but midi music really gives me a headache most of the time, so I could have really cared less. Graphics: They were awesome, and much more pleasing to the eyes than those of R/S/E in my opinion. The over world sprites and the UIF were pretty slick. Story: It stayed pretty faithful to the originals, almost a little too much in my opinion. Though I did like the tiny tweaks towards the end, and I loved the inclusion of the Sevii Islands. I could have used a few more of them if they would have programmed them. Other (Pokedex, features, etc.): While I liked the nostalgic feeling I got while playing it, it almost seemed like it was taking a step back from the natural progression. I mean, just cause the originals didn't have a Real Time Clock, doesn't mean it would have hurt to include it like they had in R/S/E. And moving the Daycare to the Sevii Islands just to prevent us from getting Pokemon outside the National Dex, or even forcing the Dex to limit evolution was a bit unnecessary. It didn't really bother me since most of my team was the same as Gen 1 and couldn't evolve past their standard Gen 1 evolutions anyway, but for those of you looking to use Crobat, Blissey, Pichu or something, I can see how it would be a bit annoying. Overall I think I actually like them more than the originals, but nothing can ever actually replace the originals and the feelings that go with 'em.

    I dunno, unless use Pokesav again to remove the wondercard and item from your bag and just try it again. My Secret Key wouldn't work when I first tried it in the Japanese Platinum, but that was because I added it with Pokesav's Key Item menu. I just removed it and waited for the WC after that.

    I really don't consider Febass to be all that rare. I mean sure the tiles change, but once you find a tile, it has a decent encounter rate so you can get more than your fill. Munchlax on the other hand, excluding breeding a Snorlax, is a pain in the butt. He and Snorlax are the only two Pokemon not captured in my Sinnoh Dex for Platinum. Every other Pokemon has been captured in the wild, including gender differences at all available evolutionary levels... meaning I caught 2 Gibles in Turnback Cave and 4 Gabites in Victory Road to fill out their evolution family. Even though I know my 4 Muchlax trees, the 1% encounter rate and only being able to check the trees a maximum of 4 times a day if you decided to get up ever 6 hours. Luck just isn't on my side.

    Looking for help in determining the PIDs used for Roaming GBA type Pokemon, as I'm going to need multiple for the Latis and Beast Trio within the 3rd Gen on multiple games. If its easier to just post more of them than try to explain how to get them, then feel free. IV's and such don't matter if it depends on them, they are for collection purposes only. I'll need 2 for LG, 3 for FR, 1 for Ruby, 1 for Sapphire, and 2 for Emerald. BTW: The Latis in the database are at Level 40, which implies they are the roaming versions of them, but their type comes as Normal NDS or GBA, nor Roaming GBA. Its not supposed to be like that, right?

    I just found my first wild Feebas ever two days ago in my Platinum, and it was my first time ever bothering to look for it in the 4th Generation too. I just went down to the lake, made my Staraptor use Defog, and walked up to a spot on shore across from a rock. Tossed out my rod, and first caught nothing, 2nd try was Gyarados, and then the 3rd try was Feebas.

    Quick change of topic while I'm thinking about it. In the original Gold and Silver you battled Red, aka your player of the previous generation, at Mt. Silver at the end of your journey. But since the remakes of FireRed and LeafGreen, we now have a female player to choose from in Kanto. Anyone think that depending on the gender of the character you pick for your new Johto journey in HG and SS, that you may not face Red, but the female player (Blue, not Leaf in my book) instead?

    Cyndaquil. I ALWAYS pick the fire starter on my play cart, SS this time around. HG will be used to get Chikorita and Totodile for my dex though.
