    I believe you walk onto the cirlce of the dragon you want. Dialga on the bottom left, Palkia on the bottom right, and Giratina at the top. Arceus then creates the egg and it hatches right then and there before you are actually given the Pokemon. Gotta say, it'll be strange seeing the egg hatch and knowing its a huge Pokemon that weighs between 700ish and 1600ish lbs right off the bat.

    I said right above the paragraph about speculated details of the event that if you have no party room, it will go to the PC. The only time party space matters is if you are to obtain an egg, or gaining a gift from a WC and the green Pokemart dude. I'm sure the event will activate even if you have a full party. There are no regulations on activating events for the Regis, Darkrai, Shaymin, or Arceus in the Sinnoh games, I don't see why they'd add it now.

    Well, you don't have to be sure, but I am. I say its a translation difference, just like how the Japanese games say "Wild *Pokemon* jumped out!" while the US games say "Wild *Pokemon* appeared!". Them saying it became your partner is just them saying it joined your party, not captured, because its a gift that I'm 90% sure you won't have to battle. It joins you because you because it is friends with the Pikachu-colored Pichu you own to trigger the event. And I'm sure it doesn't matter if you have an open space in your party or not, only eggs aren't obtainable if you have a full party, everything else is transferred to your PC if you have no more room in your party. I assume the old guy in the picture comes out and explains about the Jagged-Ear Pichu, then states how it looks like it wants to go with the player and the Shiny Pichu. The gift/caught Pokemon music plays after it walks into your trainers sprite, and then is says it joined your party.

    I kinda figured it was obvious that you couldn't catch Arceus in game, since every promotional item about Acreus since HGSS announcement has stated it needed to be traded there to unlock the event. You are allowed to keep the Jagged-Ear Pichu from the event at the Ilex Shrine, it joins your party, supposedly without even having a battle.

    I really don't care which one follows me, though I do have my favorites, 90% of which are Legendaries, but I'm more excited to just have the sprites for all the Pokemon. To stay on topic though, I will be having ALL of the Legendaries follow me at one point or another. As for normal Pokemon? Magmar, Pidgeot, Charizard, Dragonite, Lucario, Cyndaquil, Snorlax, Togepi, Marowak, Donphan, Flygon, Tropius, and Rotom.

    Well, Jirachi isn't really a thought to me anymore since it really was made widely available via Wi-Fi. I'm more interested in the Pikachu colored Pichu that will be released later today.

    Don't even start the contest argument. lol That ribbon button doesn't mean anything. You get ribbons for all kinds of things besides contests, beating the Elite 4, footprints, etc. I don't care if contests are in or not, but that little button proves nothing. For all we know, it could simply be there to check what ribbons your Sinnoh Pokemon have when you trade them over.

    We have a little bit of new information revealed. An old man (Kurt?) has to do with the Jagged-Ear Pichu event, and we get to see its in battle sprite. Also, the Arcues-Dialga/Palkia/Giratina event, you must take the Arceus to the Ruins of Alph to open up the new area, "Shinto Ruins". You then get your choice of one of the three dragons after some swirling Unown and a hatching egg. Watch the video. http://www.filb.de/1086

    But DPPt takes place AFTER HGSS, so she could have brought two of the "Mystery" eggs back with her from her Johto trip. 1 for the player, and 1 for her team.

    AlbinoDrow, you seem to be confused on the Pokemon timeline. FRLG take place at roughly the same time as RSE, and DPPt take place at roughly the same time as HGSS. There is no problem with Cynthia being in Johto as she is. The opening of Diamond and Pearl shows a news report on the Red Gyarados of Johto, so the events of DPPt start sometime shortly after the halfway mark of the main story of Johto. I'm sure they'll work around the egg introduction, as you said and probably talk about how they discovered eggs in johto, but they had never seen one like this specific one before. BTW, Anime-wise, the Frontier Brains were in Kanto. =P

    It should. I downloaded my Japanese Secret Key from here in the US when it was first released, just depends on if the Jirachi is available to all three games. Should be though, most events are unless they are Platinum specific items, like the Secret Key.

    IMO, them having a team trying to attain them doesn't really help their chances for said team to appear for them again. Archie and Maxie gave up their conquest of trying to attain the titans and alter the earth's land-water ratio. They learned that they couldn't control them and that their inability to do so almost caused a semi-natural disaster the likes the world had never seen before. The grunts were just as much of an eye witness as the leaders, and I'm sure none of them are stupid enough to try and destroy the world again. And before you say this is the same thing as Giovanni leaving Team rocket, its not. Even though Team Rocket was after Mewtwo, once it escaped into the wild, all it wanted was to be left alone. It went and hid in a cave that next to no one is allowed into. And once you defeated Giovanni, and he left Team Rocket without saying a word to anyone, the grunts were just left alone without leadership. The admins took over and continued to try and capture Pokemon to help them rule the world and draw their leader back to them, but not cause the entire planet to erupt into chaos that would cause mass extinction for anything that couldn't live in water. Anyway, I really hope Lugia and Ho-Oh play a bit more of role in the main storyline. In the original Gold and Silver, you could have played the whole game and never actually be drawn to the mascots. The beast trio played more of a role in game, because at least you were drawn to the Burnt tower for a rival battle and witnessed the release of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune.

    Naw, I really doubt Team Magma or Aqua will show up. Its too much effort for them to put in for legends not from the original generation. Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Regirock, Regice, and Registeel didn't get that treatment. No one in the game even really so much as mentions them besides Professor Oak. At the very least, I expect Oak or Elm to tell you there have been reports of strange weather patterns in Johto, and maybe that the Goldenrod radio Tower might have the latest reports of where the anomaly has been spotted. If they want to get a little more in depth. At the very most, I'd expect to see Ruby, Sapphire or Professor Birch show up saying they tracked Groudon/Kyogre to Johto and have been hearing rumors of weather anomalies, but they aren't familiar with the land and can't get seem to catch up with the beast and would like to know if the Player could do it for them.

    I catch everything in sight regardless of my starter, I'm still picking Cyndaquil, but I will capture at least 1 of every Pokemon in the Johto Dex, more if it has a gender or form difference, and even more if the Pokemon can evolve but its evolution isn't in the wild. I will also include any special Pokemon not in the regional Dex, like Lugia, Ho-Oh, Mew, Sudowoodo, or Deoxys in Emerald. Did I mention I ALWAYS capture everything in regular Pokeballs? Even my roaming Pokemon. So I have enough of a challenge.

    Because... 1.) The statement "anything from starters to legendaries" covers all the Pokemon in the broad sense Bulbasaur to Arceus. Looking any further into it is pointless, there is no reason to think that it is only select Pokemon. 2.) Johto's original daycare center put the sprites of the Pokemon you left there outside in the fence, so they had to make overworlds for all the Pokemon anyway. You will be able to get other Pokemon besides the Johto Dex ones and others available in game, so eventually all 493 Pokemon can be placed in the Daycare, and they will have a sprite, its not that much more work to change like 5-10 pixels to make it look like they are walking. I prefer the way the legends are distributed now anyway. I like Lugia more than Ho-oh, and Groudon more than Kyogre. Rayquaza is the best out of the ancient titans, but he's available to both games if you have the other two of the trio, so it doesn't really matter.

    That was my first thought when I started speculating they would be included, I mean the cave can teleport from route to route, so why not region to region if necessary. But I then dismissed the idea because I figured they wouldn't want to create an overworld sprite for them like they didn't for the Regis and Bird trio in Platinum. But once it was revealed that all 493 Pokemon will have overworlds anyway, I don't see a problem with it anymore.

    Hmm, thinking it over, with them trying to faze out the GBA games, what do you want to bet that since they are including Hoenn legends, we'll have a chance at the Hoenn starters ala a reverse Emerald type deal? Possibly a shot at the Kanto starters as well?

    Definitely going with Cyndaquil on SoulSilver for my main play through. He was the one I thought looked the coolest when I first played GSC and he was also the fire starter. I always pick the fire starter in every generation, no matter if you have an advantage with it or not, simply because I think the fire starters have better designs than the others in ever generation. I still like some of the other starters quite a bit, but burning my path though the game is my tradition. As for HeartGold, I'll probably pick Chikorita so I can transfer it over to SoulSilver, and then restart and play through it with Totodile.

    The event Jirachi is confirmed to unlock special features in the PokeWalker, not in HGSS themselves. HGSS are just needed to transfer the Jirachi to the PokeWalker. The PokeWalker has "courses" you can unlock by using the device. You start with 2 courses you can choose from, each with different Pokemon in them. The event Jirachi, when transferred, opens up the "Edge of the Night Sky" course. But no other details about the course are given.

    I know the code exists, I used it a few years back before D/P/Pt came out and I was constantly playing FireRed or Emerald. I'm looking for a rebattle code for Sudowoodo at the Battle Frontier. I've been looking for a few hours now with no luck. Am I just blind, or is it a side effect of one of the other rebattle codes?

    The Pokemon in the first position of your party is the one confirmed to follow you. It is currently unknown, but believed, to have an option on the party menu or in the game options to turn the feature off for those who will be annoyed by it. We'll just have to see.
