In this Ho-Oh event, when injecting as a wonder card, and receiving it in the pokemon center, when extracting the game and checking it in Pkhex, in its data it comes out as American Region instead of Japanese This also happens, when passing it directly as pokemon, ignoring the wonder card and receiving it. The file is dragged into the frame box. -
I'm playing through gen 3 games again via emulator. I've activated the events being the tickets to navel Rock and birth Island. I know gen 3 doesn't have a met date. However does the current date im playing affect rng/seed/PID? For example could you reverse engineer, so to speak, my event pokemon PID and see that Ho oh wasn't caught during the event distribution?.

I tried to move the Lugia, Ho-oh, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Mew and Celebi (all of them shiny) from Crystal to Bank through Transporter. All of them passed with the exception of the Mew and Celebi. I'll try with the rest and post the results. -
If you have PKHEX here are the files you can use to transfer them. Both have HA and are from Gen 2 and will transfer from bank to home no problems. They also both have roost in their move sets 249 ★ - Lugia - 29614FA3D5E8.pk7 250 ★ - Ho-Oh - 6356247B5C96.pk7

Yep utterly confused noob here..(ignore my account age.. I utterly forgot I'd made it lol look me 5 registration attempts to notice it saying "your email is already registered") I've googled and browsed through the forum a bit but honestly I'm confused by lot of the conflicting results i've found so thought it simpler and quicker to just do this. I have a old Purple NA 3DS with latest pushed firmware 11.0.0-33U I have Pokemon Y was a downloaded installed game on the system not a cartridge. My goal was to make a egg and place it in my box containing a shiny Chandelure that a gf of mine wanted with legal base stats. no buffing or crazy shit just simply making it shiny and have it as an egg Eggs can still be traded right or was that never a thing and I'm on some bad memory trip? The idea of the egg was so when it hatched it would be her pokemon rather than mine IE her trainer ids no trade xp training buff so she could mold it how she wanted I thought an egg would also help prevent her (and me) getting flagged and banned from like anything net wise with pokemon.. as some of the pages I read said nintendo was doing that. What are the steps I can take to do this? my PC has a SD card reader and the game/saves are saved to said card. Lot'a pages said that doing it on the pc should work as it removes the 3ds system from the editing process.. others say that you need to have access to hombrue an whole host of other things to do it. Appreciate your time in reading this. ~Nat

Just finished a full playthrough (technically) and had zero issues apart from one. I wasnt able to get sableye to spawn since i lost to Smarton on the S.S Libra with no way to rematch. now mirror B wont spawn and ive caught and purified every pokemon other than this sableye and ho-oh. other than this, everything was perfect.

One last question, is it possible to use this save on a non-hacked 3ds? I do have a hacked 3ds, but I'd to use this save on a second 3ds as well so I can dual hint Ho-Oh. Thanks! -
Ok now i tested it, i have used 20180911, this is Ho-Oh in my Colosseum save and this is the same Ho-Oh, as you do, in my Sapphire save I begin to think that the problem is the OT in the Colosseum save that there isn't in the Mystery Gift Database

How does one acquire a Regenerator a legal Regenerator Ho-Oh in gen 6 through pkhex? I was looking for pkm files on the internet but most links are dead. Can anybody help?

If PKHeX puts the warning sign, then it isn't legal. For example (referring to your gen 2 scenario) if I'm not mistaken, Lugia only gets Aeroblast by being caught in Silver, and Ho-Oh only gets Sacred Fire by being caught in Gold. [even if the above point is wrong, I know Crystal Lugia and Ho-Oh DOES NOT have their signature moves] Thus, if they have data to suggest they were caught in Crystal (the time of day and route data, for example), they can never legitimately have those moves. As such, PKHeX is right: they ARE illegal. [For carts, they could relearn those moves by being transferred to Stadium 2 and using Lance's relearner, but that isn't an option on VC] Honestly, this is more of a ethics question than an legality question. Ethically, for some individuals, some mons bred from a cheated mon, is also cheated, due to it's stats being affected. Legally, the stats bred would be the same as having a non-modified parent. Can't be distinguished.

I don't know why you mentioned Encryption constant, when that's not the issue with this Ho-Oh. a) Mons obtained from Max Lair have a certain Dynamax level. Just max it out. b) Max Lair legendaries have a minimum of 4 Perfect IVs, so just max one IV out. You can choose it at random. c) For Max Lair Legendary, abiltiy is 1. Also as Kaphotics said, the PID/IVs/EC/HT/WT are correlated, however not checked by PKHeX at the moment. So it appears legal, but ain't legal. I don't think there's a tool that acts like RNGReporter and gives correlated stats for Max Lair mons yet.

If it helps, I just used a Silver save right before Ho-Oh and caught it on both GB and VC. Original Silver: 250 - HO-OH - 61A6.pk2 VC Silver: 250 - HO-OH - 23DE.pk2

you can't import from VC into Gen IV. VC has to directly go to Gen VII. Looking at Roost, the only games that can teach it are Gen IV to Gen VII games. Hidden ability Ho-Oh/Lugia can be obtained in Gen V, and Roost can be taught to em there. But those can't be shiny. As far as I can tell, you are stuck with having to choose two: (DNE mean Does not exist legally)
