  1. There's so many features in that program, and only one person to test it before release. And it is easier than you think to accidentally break a feature (or to forget to test something). Sometimes I am sure (I am sure...) that I tested something, but it magically stops working as soon as I publish it. (Probably half the bugs in any program are fixed by literally changing one or two characters in the source code.) That's why it is recommended to back up your save file. 1. Copy your save file to your computer. 2. Copy the same save file somewhere else on your computer 3. Edit only one of them 4. Put the edited save file on your flashcart/emulator/legit cartridge 5. If anything goes wrong, repeat step #4 with the un-edited save file.
  2. Moved to Misc because it is more about emulation than save files.
  3. I don't think it will do you any good, but here's a blank save file. blank..sav
  4. Right Click -> Extract All -> Extract it somewhere -> Go to the place you extracted the zip file to -> Double Click Pokegen.exe -> If it doesn't open, tell us the error message. Or even better, when it fails, upload a screen capture using Print Screen. You should find the ability to upload files on Quick Reply if you press "Go Advanced".
  5. Unstickied because my other stickied thread links to this thread where applicable. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?16601-How-to-Backup-Restore-your-retail-cartridge-save-file-(D-P-Pt-HG-SS-B-W-Nearly-any-other-DS-game)&p=131750#post131750
  6. Do you mean C#.Net? If so, I may be able to find something for you.
  7. Are you getting an error message of any kind?
  8. You need to untrim it. If Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 is < 256MB, then you can see my post. Alternatively, you can try NDS ExplorerEx.

  10. Ensure that your save is the right size. It should be 512KB. If it works like other Pokemon games, 256KB works, but Pokegen won't accept it (you should fix this, Codr). If the save is not the right size, resize it at http://saves.uniquegeeks.net/ by converting from raw to raw with a target size of 512KB (unless they finally increased the save size to 1MB. Anyway, try 512KB, and if that doesn't work, try other sizes).
  11. It would probably help Codr if you uploaded the save state and said what version of DeSmuMe you are using.
  12. 1. Not that I'm aware of. However, if you ask nicely, Codr might put it in Pokegen. (Oh, who am I kidding? He won't do something like that. Unless he wants to prove me wrong after reading this statement, which is very unlikely. Cue some comment about this from Codr in 3... 2... 1.....) 2. Why does this seem familiar? http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?22991-3rd-Generation-save-editor
  13. That's more of a program for the GBA, instead of an addon for this program. It isn't my area of expertice, but I'm doubting that this would work. I REALLY doubt anyone would want to write it. You're better off trying this: http://digiex.net/guides-reviews/console-guides/1187-how-backup-gameboy-gameboy-colour-save-games-retail-cartridges.html If that doesn't help, here's a post that may be more helpful: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?2040-Concerning-The-Battery&p=27072&viewfull=1#post27072
  14. That username looks familiar. I probably saw your posts, but I forgot in the long time since ProjectPokemon.org opened.
  15. When testing out save state reading on the latest version of Pokegen, I opened a save state that I quickly made in DeSmuMe 0.9.7 x64, and Pokegen just closed itself. I then noticed that Pokegen wrote a dump file in the active directory. I have uploaded a zip file containing the dump file, the save state, and the save file I loaded in order to make the save state at: http://www.uniquegeeks.net/states.zip I do hope you can get this fixed as this is a promising feature that can prevent pointless posts. Oh, because I was bored, here's a list of threads that should never be repeated if you get this working: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?16263-Please-help-me-i-cant-get-it-to-work-with-(DeSmuMe) http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?13881-Save-Conversion-Desmume-(.dst)-to-No-GBA-(.sav)-and-vice-versa&highlight=save+state
  16. Well, you don't want the game to be too easy. But I can't fairly say that until I progress further.
  17. How did you get the save file from your cartridge?
  18. Hmmm... That is wierd. It probably isn't a region issue, but in case it is, what region game are you using (North America, Japan, Europe, etc)?
  19. 1. Use http://shunyweb.info/convert.php to convert your save file to Raw. Either that, or change No$GBA's save setting to raw (uncompressed) and ensure you have a 512KB save file. 2. In DeSmuMe, use File -> Import Backup Memory
  20. Open a midi file, and change it's SoundFont (SF) file. The open dialog has a pretty good instrument tester.
  21. It seems that the R4i Gold Plus doesn't support Wood R4. Anyway, a 191MB rom should work. But, just to test, run the attached program. (It required the .Net Framework 4.0). Open your Rom, Convert from Raw to Raw with a target size of 256 Megabits (2 Gigabits). Be sure to save it as an *.nds file (change the selected file format from *.sav to All files). If it is just the card not liking trimed ROMS, then this might fix it. Custom Save Conve.zip
