The bible does have plenty of things that ARE true, and do help people believe in it:

-It is historically accurate.

-It referred to the earth as a sphere in the time when people thought the earth was flat.

-It is perfectly logical assuming you can believe the first sentence (In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth).

-It is the best selling book of all time.

-It was written by about 40 different authors across 3 continents over a period of at least 200 years, and the story is consistant.

-There are no legitimate contradictions (there may appear be some, but a closer look will prove otherwise).

What does the big bang theory/evolution have? Speculation...

Athiests don't believe in God, and rely on the theory of evolution to explain how we were formed. Christians believe in God and most think evolution is blasphemous, which may be true according to what some athiests say. However, some parts of evolution can coincide with what God has done (like natural selection).

Especially since that their ignorance is now taught in schools as fact, so the cycle continues indefinately until the world ends or loads proof against evolution is found and made popular.

I was inder the impression that they were two completely separate things, evolution being what athiests believe in to explain how we were made, and natural selection being a fact that explains how animals "adapt" to the environment....

They choose to not believe in God, and try to make their theories work regardless of actual proof.

Darwin observed different kinds of birds, thinking that they had a common ancestor (which I find completely believable), then theorized that the same applied to all life - without any additional evidence (which is completely absurd).

Everyone questions how long it takes for tissue to decay, but not how long ago the dinosaurs lived. Evolution is only possible given lots of time, so they won't question that...

I can bring many points against evolution. I might try that if anyone replys to my reply.

Apparently it is full of *cough* interesting discussion. I'm supprised that it hasn't become a flame war yet.

Since you're a bug on the wall, what is your opinion of what is going on? (Also, what kind of bug are you? Fly? Tick? Beetle? Some bug pokemon?)
