  1. What changes did you make? Also, this deserves its own thread. (Maybe Codr will split it)
  2. Sometimes after a while of use, micro SD cards can become slow (things like file fragmentation), and reformatting it helps speed it up 90% of the time. Read for more info on how to do it: http://gbatemp.net/topic/308089-speed-up-slow-sd-card/ (Oh, and don't use the file defragmenter on an SD card.)
  3. I doubt that is a problem with the save file, unless it goes back to working if you undo your changes. I recommend trying the following: 1. Ensure you are using Wood R4 as your kernal as opposed to the official one. 2. If you are using Wood R4, Reformat your MicroSD card (back up all the files on it, format it with either the Panasonic SD formatter or the one in Windows, the copy all the files back) 3. If that doesn't work, obtain a new ROM (preferably by backing up your own cartridge)
  4. In order to use any save option besides "Save Pokemon (From Tabs)", you must have opened a save file. Any Pokemon you add to Pokegen without loading a save file are simply in memory, and not added to a save file. Codr, I suggest disabling the "Save [save file]" options and anything else that only applies only to a save file (like Pokedex editing), if no save file is loaded; that might make it slightly less confusing. Maybe even disable boxes (though I don't know if anyone uses boxes often without loading a save file).
  5. .duc and .dss should be the same, just from different regions. Also, this should have been posted here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?88-PokeGen
  6. I program with the .Net framework (which works on Windows XP), so I don't see what could hold Pokegen back by keeping XP support. What would an of such a feature example be?
  7. I use Windows 7. I would imagine that most people use Windows 7. (According to http://gs.statcounter.com/#os-ww-monthly-201104-201204 ) Super Moderators and above can edit polls. You should PM someone to have it renamed (or start a petition to add the ability to edit one's own poll).
  8. Can you ping pokegen.projectpokemon.org? To test this, open the command prompt (just type in cmd.exe) and type "ping pokegen.projectpokemon.org". If you can't, then that would explain why. If you can, then we'll have to test further.
  9. Have you tried pressing the update software button? It's been years since I used an action replay like that, and I think I updated it by pressing that once. (But then again, this was before I actually knew what I was doing, so it might not actually have updated it...) Another thing to check is to see if you are dragging the bin file ABOVE the codelist box as shown at http://us.codejunkies.com/support/article.aspx?article_id=434 Dragging it onto the codelist box won't work.
  10. 1. This belongs in the Pokemon Legality forum: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?40-Pokémon-Legality 2. Can you upload the *.pkm file?
  11. How long did you wait before creating a new account? Sometimes it can take a while for an email to arrive. (You also may have typed your email incorrectly) But perhaps an admin can help you more.
  12. Well, if you really want to, you could. I personally am tired of questions like "How do I <insert very basic and somewhat self-explanatory task that can be figured out with a web search> in Pokegen?". [Edit] Now that I think about it, I'm not actually sure if a new guide would belong in the PokeGen or the Saves forum. I'll just let Codr decide...
  13. So that either means that Pokemon Black (U) is much different (very unlikely) or Kaphotics and I are doing something wrong. Although, there are a variety of games that v1.30 won't back up (Like Code Lyoko and Mario Party DS) when I try; it lists the save file as being 0Kb. It will still backup ROMS though. I'm assuming that it lists your save file as 4096Kb... Is your OS x86 or x64? Shouldn't make a difference, as each functioned the same in my experience... Unless you are using a different OS (besides Windows 7)?
  14. Well, I don't know what to say. Version 1.30 of Neo Pro Manager won't work with SoulSilver or Black, while Version 1.11 will.
  15. Have you logged in and gone through the island of dreams? You should have about 3-7 pages of pokemon to choose from at the end.
  16. That won't backup 3DS saves or anything with an IR port. The package I linked to includes an earlier version of that which can backup games with an IR port. There's another program on the CD (included in that package) that will backup 3DS saves, but not anything with an IR port.
  17. Look here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?16601-How-to-Backup-Restore-your-retail-cartridge-save-file-(D-P-Pt-HG-SS-B-W-Nearly-any-other-DS-game)
  18. 4Mb=512MB Even if the OP meant 4MB, that still won't hurt. The save file can be larger (unless the flashcart doesn't support it), but not smaller.
  19. Updated the SMS4 section since my SMS4 arrived. Its software is confusing (the CD includes all the software for ALL of their devices), though I linked to a package that should simplify things for others.
  20. I'm sorry, but I don't really know what to say. I'm supprised that the SoulSilver save actually loads on your cart (unless it can no longer read the save).
  21. Moved to Pokegen forum since it's directly related to wanting help with Pokegen, not general save editing. Also changed the title from "pokegen".
  22. Codr will probably just say something like, "Why can't you simply capture the Pokemon in the game like you're supposed to?", but I do think it would be cool if this happened. I personally think he should focus more on adding item editing though.
  23. The first file seems perfectly OK. The second, is not. I'm not sure what went on with that, but putting it onto my SoulSilver cartridge resulted in restarting the game. But, with Pokesav, I was able to read some bits of data. The only Pokemon was a Quilava (attached). Your only key items were the VS Recorder and the Apricon Case. You've played for over 1 hour, starting on May the Fourth (be with you). Other things ARE corrupt. Perhaps you can try backing up all the files on the MicroSD card, reformatting the MicroSD card, then restoring all the files. But before you do that, if you are running Windows, try running an error check (Right-Click the microSD card in My Computer -> Properties -> Tools tab -> Error Checking -> Check Now -> Check both checkboxes and press start). An error check might fix corrupted sectors of your microSD card. Let me know how that turns out! Quilava..pkm
  24. Can you upload your save file? Pokesav should be able to open a Wood R4 save file...
  25. If you are learning to program, I'd recommend Visual Basic or C# instead of C++. VB and C# are way easier to start with.
