Hey! I just started playing this rom hack and my Pokemon got pokerus! Is there an increased chance of that or increased shiny odds in this hack. Thanks in advance! -
Jacinthe started following Invalid Current handler value after trading between games?
-
I injected an XYZ shiny Xerneas WC into my OR save and redeemed it. Then I traded it to Y to get the Kalos ribbon and finally traded it to AS. Since I made save backups of each step, I checked them in PKHeX. Everything's fine in OR and AS, but in Y I get the error "Invalid: Invalid Current handler value, trainer details for save file expected another value. Invalid: Current handler cannot be the OT." I didn't edit Xerneas in PKHeX whatsoever and only did some normal trades between games, then how come it gets flagged as having an invalid current handler in Y? In case it's relevant, for every save file, the information shown in the OT/Misc tab was: Current Handler: HT Latest (not OT) Handler OT: Name of the save file the Pokemon was in Another detail that might be important is that my OR and AS save files have the same trainer name, but obviously different and naturally generated TID and SID, but Y's trainer name is different. It puzzles me that: 1. There were no problems with the current handler or anything else in the game Xerneas got redeemed (OR). 2. Then the 'problem' popped up after a normal trade to Y and the Xerneas getting the Kalos ribbon. 3. After being traded to a third game (AS), the alleged problem simply disappeared. I thought that if the mon was properly injected and then just traded normally, there would be no issues. But now this raises two questions: 1. Why does the 'error' only get flagged when reading data from the Y save file? Is there a real legality issue or is the error in PKHeX's reading or data analysis? 2. In case there truly is a real legality issue after Xerneas was sent to Y, does the fact it doesn't get flagged anymore in AS mean that the problem got solved or did any part of its data got 'tainted' and now it's no longer 100% legal? Does the game data track the chain of past handlers in a way that the previous invalid handler information is stored somewhere in the pokemon's data and could be detected and shown was illegal (even though it really wasn't for all I did was a normal in-game trade)? Thanks in advance! EDIT: Noticed something really weird. Before the error messag popped up in Y, I had checked the pokemon's memories. Now I reopened the save file in Y and noticed that Xerneas doesn't get flagged as having an invalid current handler if I don't open the memories tab. I tried in AS and the same thing happens: pokemon 100% legal when checked and having invalid current handler after checking the memories window. I'm not editting any memories nor anything else, just looking at the memories and then closing the window. So now it seems to me even more it's just some PKHeX error, but I wonder why it gets triggered by simply opening the memories window and if it has any legality implications for the mon. I checked the memories in-game and the text is the same as shown in PKHeX, so I really don't see why this would trigger an error, especially since it doesn't show any before opening the memories window. EDIT 2: Tried checking other Pokemon and noticed this happens to any event or traded Pokemon, that is, if I'm not the OT, a pokemon will get flagged with having an invalid current handler AFTER I open the memories window, even though it was shown as 100% legal a couple of seconds earlier.

Trying to get a save file with checkpoint on 3DS

This topic helped me 5 years later. Thank you! -
Hello. Your screenshot tells me you're running an older version, which makes ability slots confusing. Download the latest version and everything will become clear. Here you go.

Hi, I love the editor but I cant seem to figure out how to get hidden abilities because the option wont show up
-
The difficulty was indeed tested for years by several players and a dedicated testing team. If you got bodied, probably that's because you decided to go for a higher difficulty than what you can handle and should lower it as a result
-
was the difficulty of this hack even tested? I have Pikachu and Squirtle and the Groudon boss is literally unwinnable, seems like he can heal faster than you can damage him before you run out of PP and items and he one shots my starter

PKVault - Centralized pkm storage management & Pokedex app
LovelyDumpling replied to chnapy's topic in Saves - Tools
Absolutely love this app, especially considering PKHeX's rougher support on Linux. This is a much more intuitive and fun way to manage banking and transferring our Pokemon. Hi, I've been haunting your GitHub issues page lately sorry I wanted to post here for "feature requests" since I think you mentioned this is the better destination for that, and I didn't want to distract too much from the real issues. The one feature I feel like is really missing from the UX here that I'd appreciate is a way to multi-select/bulk-select pokemon besides choosing an entire box. Currently the only methods I can find are selecting the full box, or clicking the checkmarks on one pokemon at a time. Ideally, I'd like the option to shift+click to select every pokemon between the shift+clicked one and the last selected pokemon, like we can with text or files in a file explorer. This would especially be useful in boxes that are larger than 30 Pokemon. I love that we can have 300 pokemon boxes in the vault, but I very quickly regretted moving to those when I found these limitations. If you have a 300 Pokemon box, and you want to move 130 of them to another box, you have to click each one individually since there's no way to quickly bulk select a partial box. At least in smaller boxes, if there's more than 15 I can select the full box and deselect the ones I don't want as a small shortcut, but even the up-to-15 clicks in this situation can be a lot. - The only other request at the top of my head is more of a lower priority distant "maybe someday", but android support someday would be a big deal for all our new lil handhelds. EDIT: Oh I see, android version's already in consideration! -

Stadium 2 Move Reminder, VC Compatibility and JP Event Moves
Metropolis replied to jojo12100's topic in Generation 2
Brilliant research @jojo12100 Did you ever look into Smeargle's Stadium2 and PokeTransporter legality? Baton Pass is flagged as an illegal move in Stadium 2, but appears on many competitive Smogon movements. Whilst the GSC games do let you sketch Baton Pass when it fails, the flagging of it as an illegal move means this was not intentional. Could this be the case for other moves, such as Transform? Open area of research. - Last week

Before Watching: I'm not an expert, so I can't promise this won't cause any issues, and I'm not responsible if it does. English isn't my first language, but I'll try my best to be clear. Also, this only works for BDSP right now, and it's meant for people who – like me – don't want to use the Switch‑time in the CFW‑S system. The example is WC1706=oak's letter. First, take note of the acquisition time of the Mystery Gift you wish to modify. Then, use JKSV to obtain a save folder that already has BACT injected and contains a received Mystery Gift. Next, open the savedata.bin file from that folder using PKHeX(26.07.07). Navigate to the Data Blocks section, find the Mystery Records option, and click on Received. Locate the specific Mystery Gift file you want to modify, open its sub‑menu, find the Ticks entry, and copy the number shown after it. Now, use a UNIX timestamp conversion tool (you can find one through your browser, etc.). Select your time zone, paste the copied number, and convert it. Compare the result with the timestamp you noted earlier to confirm that this is indeed the correct Mystery Gift file. Then, choose a proper date and time based on the official distribution period of the Mystery Gift you received. Convert that chosen date/time into a UNIX timestamp, which will give you a new number. Copy this new number and paste it back into the Ticks field you accessed earlier. Save the modified savedata.bin file. Repeat the exact same procedure for the backup.bin file and save it as well. Finally, place the original nx_save_meta.bin file together with the two modified files (savedata.bin and backup.bin) into a single folder. Use JKSV to load this modified folder, and you will see that the acquisition time of the Mystery Gift has been changed to the correct date.

Thank you for the response. I have used the switch-time homebrew to change the internal date time before redeeming the wondercard on the CFW-E system. And I uesd the JKSV on the CFW-S system to restore the BACT. But the time is still the current real-world time. Is that because I received the item while on the OFW system without changing the time in the CFW-S system? Anyway, to fix the time display issue, I read through every reply in this post and find this specific post. Then I used the newest PKHeX(26.07.07) to solve it. The fix differs from versions, but it is easier than before. I might start a new post about all this later.

Yes, I understand, which is why I've come asking for advice from those who know better about emulation as to what options would be best. I do also have a 3DS that I could jailbreak, if that would be the most optimal way to do it.

Pokémon Daisuki Club Bidoof, Ralts, Shinx
ICanSnake replied to CCeveryone's topic in Events Help and Questions
A lot of the common GTS Bidoof/Shinx/Ralts I can trade with no restrictions but there's not much I'm looking to trade for right now and not much I feel would be a fair trade. I would love Pokemon Home medals but I'm not sure how to value it to these events since at the end of the day they're unproofed and cloned. For the most part, I have every event and I'm just looking for specific things either for my own collection or research pieces. I'm not sure how I feel uploading the common GTS for free either, but I can think about it. It's just that I've been using these to see if there are any other contacts that have other GTS events and were looking to trade for ones I have, if it's uploaded publicly they can just grab it without sending something I need. Preferably, I would be trading these GTS events as .pkm (.pk4) files so that the held mail is not lost upon trading, and so that the Bank shutdown wouldn't affect trading out these files. Backing up files helps preserve the Pokemon in their original generation, and I did also send a copy to Home, so I'm personally not worried about the Bank shutdown. The only ones that I would have a hard time trading at the moment would be Norii Bidoof, Yunosuke Ralts and Maatan Shinx. I received these from various traders as research pieces so I would feel bad trading them out even if I don't have restrictions. What I would love is to be able to complete the set so that I can trade them out more freely. I was able to get Norii Bidoof earlier this year but from what I know, Ori Bidoof is impossible to find because there was a large scam it was involved in. I've given Norii Bidoof, Yunosuke Ralts and Maatan Shinx to some of my friends with trading restrictions but I'm not sure how I feel yet about others having it. It's the same with JEREMY Shellder, I have it but I haven't traded it out because I would love sets to be completed first before I share them.
