NovaDEX v0.4.1 is now available as an early public preview for Android. NovaDEX is an independent, unofficial Android-first Pokémon save editor built with .NET MAUI and PKHeX.Core. My goal is to bring Pokémon save editing and management to Android through a modern, touch-friendly interface designed for phones and tablets. Instead of transferring every save to a computer, NovaDEX can open compatible save files locally on Android. It can also connect to supported homebrew devices and handhelds over a trusted home network using FTP or HTTP. Main features Open compatible saves through the Android file picker Browse the party and storage boxes with offline Pokémon sprites Edit Pokémon species, nickname, level, gender, nature and ability Edit held items, friendship, moves, IVs and EVs Edit shiny status and other supported Pokémon properties Create Pokémon in compatible empty box slots Use encounter-aware PID/IV correction Run legality checks using PKHeX.Core Edit trainer name, Trainer ID, Secret ID, gender, money and play time Search and edit supported inventory items Separate item sections for Potions, Poké Balls, TMs/HMs, Berries and Key Items Protect sensitive Key Items by default Save a new local edited copy without overwriting the selected original Connect to FTP and HTTP file servers on a trusted local network Browse remote folders, download saves and upload edited copies Explicitly replace a remote save after confirmation Preserve extensionless save names such as main NovaBank NovaDEX includes a private, on-device Pokémon storage feature called NovaBank. NovaBank allows Pokémon to be copied out of a save and stored inside the application for later use. Stored Pokémon can be viewed, exported, deleted or restored to a compatible save when an empty storage slot is available. NovaBank is not connected to Nintendo’s Pokémon Bank or Pokémon HOME. Its contents are stored privately on the Android device. Important Pokémon should be exported before uninstalling NovaDEX because uninstalling the application removes its private data. Save compatibility NovaDEX accepts decrypted or unencrypted save files recognized by PKHeX.Core. Common filenames and extensions include: main .sav .dsv .dat .gci .bin Encrypted saves taken directly from a console’s internal storage cannot be opened. Console saves must first be exported with an appropriate save manager. I have personally tested NovaDEX using save workflows involving: GB, GBC, GBA and Nintendo DS saves from an Anbernic handheld Nintendo 3DS saves Nintendo Switch saves Testing has covered games from multiple Pokémon generations, but this remains an early preview. Individual editor fields and network-server behavior can differ between games, save formats and homebrew applications. Local and network saving NovaDEX can create a new edited save locally on the Android device. The imported original is kept separate from the edited copy. FTP and HTTP support is intended for homebrew consoles, emulation handhelds and other devices that expose their files over a local network. NovaDEX can browse supported servers, download a save for editing and send the edited save back. Plain FTP and HTTP connections are not encrypted and should only be used on a trusted home network. Before replacing any save: Close the game or emulator using the save. Keep an untouched backup outside NovaDEX. Confirm that the edited save opens correctly. Avoid disconnecting Wi-Fi or turning off either device during an upload. An interrupted network replacement can leave the remote file incomplete, so uploading a separately named backup copy remains the safest option. Installation NovaDEX requires Android 7.0 or newer and is intended for modern 64-bit Android phones and tablets. Because this preview is distributed directly as an APK rather than through Google Play, Android may ask for permission to install unknown applications. Google Play Protect may also offer to scan the APK because it has not previously seen the application. The NovaDEX download includes the Android APK, corresponding source archive and checksum information. Download NovaDEX v0.4.1 can be downloaded here: https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/file/5936-novadex-for-android-v041-early-preview/ Please keep an original backup and remember that this is an early preview. Feedback, compatibility reports and clearly documented bugs are welcome. Credits and licensing NovaDEX is an independent application and interface that uses PKHeX.Core. PKHeX.Core, save-format handling, legality analysis and related Pokémon data resources were created and maintained by Kaphotics and the PKHeX contributors. FTP functionality uses FluentFTP by Robin Rodricks and its contributors. NovaDEX is distributed under the GPL-3.0-or-later license. The corresponding source for this release is included on the download page. NovaDEX is not an official Android version of PKHeX and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Project Pokémon, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures, The Pokémon Company, Kaphotics or the PKHeX contributors. Pokémon and all related names and properties belong to their respective owners. Please use save editing responsibly. NovaDEX should not be used to deceive other players or gain an unfair advantage in online play.

NovaDEX is an independent, unofficial Android-first Pokémon save editor built with .NET MAUI and PKHeX.Core 26.7.7. This is not an official Android release of PKHeX and is not a renamed copy of PKHeX.Mobile. NovaDEX has its own touch-first Android interface and workflow while using PKHeX.Core for save-format handling, legality analysis, and Pokémon data operations. Features - Open saves through the Android system file picker - Create a private working copy and dated original backup before editing - Browse the party and Box 1 with bundled offline Pokémon sprites - Edit species, nickname, level, gender, nature, ability, held item, friendship, shiny state, moves, IVs, and EVs - Create Pokémon in empty box slots from compatible encounters - Apply encounter-aware PID/IV correction with legality checks - Edit trainer name, displayed IDs, gender, money, and play time - Search and edit Potions, Poké Balls, TMs/HMs, Berries, and supported inventory items - Protect Key Items from ordinary editing - Store Pokémon copies in the private on-device NovaBank, export them, delete them, and restore them to the first empty Box 1 slot - Save a new verified local copy without overwriting the selected Android file - Browse and download saves over FTP - Browse Anbernic-style HTTP directory listings and download saves - Upload a verified backup copy or explicitly replace a remote save when the server supports the required operation Compatibility NovaDEX requires Android 7.0 or newer and a 64-bit ARM or x86_64 device. It accepts decrypted or unencrypted save files recognized by PKHeX.Core. Common names and extensions include main, .sav, .dsv, .dat, .gci, and .bin. Console saves must first be exported with an appropriate save manager. Neither PKHeX nor NovaDEX can open saves that are still encrypted with console-specific keys. The developer has tested personal workflows involving GB/GBC/GBA/DS saves from an Anbernic handheld, Nintendo 3DS saves, and Nintendo Switch saves. This is an early preview rather than a guarantee that every editor field behaves identically in every game. Installation 1. Download NovaDEX.apk. 2. Compare its SHA-256 with the value below. 3. Allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps when Android asks. 4. Let Google Play Protect scan the APK if prompted. 5. Install and open NovaDEX. 6. Keep an untouched external backup, then choose Open local save. Important safety information Always keep a known-good backup outside NovaDEX before editing. Close the game or emulator before replacing a save. Version 0.4.1 is an early preview. It does not yet include the later Backup & Recovery Center or a persistent interruption-recovery journal. An interrupted FTP or HTTP overwrite can leave a remote save incomplete. Uploading a separately named backup copy is safer than replacing the original. Plain FTP and HTTP are unencrypted and should be used only on a trusted home network. HTTP replacement depends on the server's upload behavior and cannot guarantee that the server created its own backup. NovaBank is private application storage and is not Nintendo's Pokémon Bank service. Export important Bank entries before uninstalling NovaDEX because uninstalling removes app-private data. Do not use modified Pokémon to deceive other players or gain an unfair advantage online. Known limitations - This early preview uses a temporary Android development signing certificate. Moving to a permanent signing key will require preview users to export their data, uninstall this build, and install the newly signed build. - NovaBank restores to the first available slot in Box 1. - Key Items are read-only by default to reduce progression and softlock risks. - FTP/HTTP upload and replacement support depends on the homebrew server. - Network replacement is not power-loss-safe in v0.4.0. - Version 0.4.0 does not include the later Backup & Recovery Center work. - 32-bit-only Android devices are not supported by this APK.
