  1. I prefer the new layout, pleasure to meet you though.
  2. 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 77 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7777 7 77 77 7
  3. Lucario learns too many moves, it sickening sometimes. And the reason garchomp is banned, is NOT because of his "high" Base 102 speed. Its the fact that he has just enough speed to outspeed all the base 100's ( think Salamence, Jirachi ) easily score OHKO's on them while at the same having the attack of Salamence and the bulk of swampert. His movepool, although actually not very large, \ includes exactly what he needs to RAPE EVERYTHING. Not being SR weak, and not being able to be hit by thunderwave is a god send for a sweeper. And so many things are hit hard by earthquake and he is one of the few pokemon who gets STAB on it AND has swords dance to bring his attack up to immeasurable levels. Also you want us to GIVE you an all around team? Just go steal one from Smogon if your not gonna make it yourself >
  4. Fair enough, but assuming you can always outplay your opponent and get off your strategy is going to get you beaten half to death by almost any serious player. Which is why you generally never want more than 2 choiced pokemon ( assuming standard sets ) The element of surprise will always net you win's against average teams anyway. CB Swampert anyone? That thing destroyed teams despite how gimmicky it was. Edit * choice'd is referring to choice items, Choice scarf ( speed ), Choice band( attack ), Choice specs ( special attack ). All items that increase a specific stat by 50 %, but limit you to only using 1 move until you switch out then back in again. A sweeper is anything thats goal is to attack, whether it be physically or specially, whether it be on a stand alone basis, Stat up or to first receive baton pass/berry boosts and "sweep" the opposing team.
  5. All Around is balanced? Thats what most players instinctively play. Trying to stall out a Stall team with balanced is rather hard, and trying to play offensively against a real offensive team with a balanced team is pretty difficult. Also on Offensive team, You NEVER want to have more than 2 Choice'd pokemon, and even two is more than you should have. ( as only one or none is preferable. ) I know a lot of people, myself included, have been posting smogon links . But they really ate useful. http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17743 read that and it should give you a better idea of how to team build.
  6. 50? I think thats where we are at. Lol.
  7. 46 ! psypokes,smogon,marriland,serebii all have those lists too.
  8. Or things like Dugtrio/Wobuffet also work rather well as shadow tag and arena trap prevent them from leaving , Wobuffet gets special mention as he is not so easy to take down.
  9. I've actually only heard good things about this game though. You no longer have to carry around that stupid bottle of Mir like in the old game, theres more to and whatever else. The just of it was that its very similar to the gamecube one, with the annoying parts taken out.
  10. 41 ! I bred alot of pokemon myself, but after 230 hours of being in a pokemon game, I started not to care seeing as how its so ridiculously time consuming and and I love having a life too. Thats where pokesav came in! No more breeding tons and tons of pokemon and then trading them over to someone else to have them IV checked My best breed is a HP ice , power 70 Magby with 4 IV's at 31 the rest all being over 22 bred with crosschop. I think it was Mild, I haven't used it in a while.
  11. Tiers aren't exactly important, If a pokemon from X tier serves a purpose better than some OU pokemon, by all means use it. But without a description of what a pokemon is supposed to do, we can't help you fix anything up. Please do read them. They are extremely useful.
  12. More or less.
  13. So...If anyone has noticed a lot of RMT's have been have been.... A: Not in the right thread! B: Not in the right forum! C: Lacking any substance for us to rate D: Not in the right forum! So I was wondering if we could have a specific forum/Sub forum for Team rates? I happen to like giving advice to people on ways to fix up their teams but a lot of threads aren't being posted in the right forum/format, do not provide enough information for anyone to properly rate their team and as a whole they are taking up a lot of useless space. Having a separate forum for it would be beneficial. I also wouldn't mind writing up a " Required for all rate my teams" Thread that includes things things an RMT should have and the correct format to post it, et cetera. This should clear up the clutter thats been seen around the forums, and once Project pokemon is in it's more developed stages it will have an active RMT forum/subforum
  14. Yea we need descriptions in order to do much, off the top of my head though. Nine tails does not make a good lead. He isn't setting anything up, isn't fast/sturdy enough to use roar/whirlwind to it's fullest et cetera.
  15. Even without EV's and items, if you don't provide me with what each pokemon is going to do, I can't help you. Gengar and Dusknoir are both ghosts, but they server incredibly different purposed. Edit* Check out this team even if you've ignored all the others. http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50579 It's pretty good.
  16. Don't spirit tombs still take residual damage though? Spikes/Stealthrock/Toxic and sandstorm all moves that shave a % off. With 50 base hp they aren't going to last long, especially as that moveset is walled by Skarmory pretty easily.
  17. theres been a lot of threads like this. I can help you for the most part, you would already need a kind of team in the works though. Check out this team: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51439 And this one: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53004 This too: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53041 This one is also cool : http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49928 Not bad: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51123 Also cool: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46873 Thats a lot of examples and all of those teams were pretty decent when I fought against them.
  18. 20! Yeaa!
  19. Starly Bidoof was second, Shinx was third, Magikarp was fourth. Right now I'm at the 8th badge with a level 56 Gyrados4 hp/252 attack/252 speed Jolly ,A level 58 gengar 4 hp/ 252 special attack/252 speed Modest and a level 52 Infernape 4 hp/ 252 speed ( then I didn't bother to allocate the rest of the EV's )
  20. It's impossible to create a team of 6 pokemon, 24 moveslots that counters all 493 pokemon with every set and those inbetween. Your best bet would be to make a team ( Either stall/balanced/Offensive ) where all 6 pokemon have great synergy with each other. The "best teams" I've seen aren't really that great at all, they just win so much because of the player's skill, and the pokemon's ability to work together and in sync with the rest of the team. If you have a DD gyarados weak, simply putting a surefire counter to it is not the way to go. What you need to do is not necessarily be able to counter whatever threats you may encounter, but ensure that by playing smart You take away the ability for whatever weakness your team may have to even switch in. Offensive teams do it through either setting themselves up so even counters can't take out proposed pokemon, having some kind of damage be inflicted every turn or forcing switches/double switching. Stall does it by racking up residual damage, and playing defensively enough to where even mixed sweepers can't score the KO, then playing offensively enough to take out frail sweepers usually seen, and 5 stall pokemon versus a balanced teams 2/3 has a pretty decided outcome assuming both players know what they are doing. Offensive Versus Stall is interesting because if both teams are well made, it's all about how well each player can stick to their own strategy and outsmart the opponent , which means its all about skill. Also Mightyena won't do you very well on a team trying to do stuff like this.
  21. Three!! Yes! Oi oi oi! Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.
  22. http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/mightyena Good luck with it.
  23. As teams consist of 6 pokemon, shouldn't it be what are your 6 Favorites? Or is the last slot perma-filled with a Bibarel HM slave?
  24. So awesome, Garchomp + Zapdos starting combo is what won the last tournaments, as the only pokemon to resist STAB earth quake and Discharge is Gliscor who didn't see much use. Garchomp/Wobbuffet Is gonna such a pain as everyone's gonna be running around using em.
  25. I'm sure you could have someone here pokesav you a Shiny drifloon Anyway the only way to "easily" get shiny's is to Pokeradar chain, which at the highest makes it a 1/200 chance of getting a shiny pokemon. Although it is frustrating to do.
