  1. Please specify what kind of team you want. There is no Team to end all teams if thats what you were implying. The best you can do is make a team that no one pokemon can rip through on its on, and by association cover weak threats as well. The easiest of these is stall, as you don't even need to counter everything with residual damage wearing every possible counter down. Of course you can't just play defensively, essentially your going to want to set up residual damage and then play offensive stall if that makes sense. Of course Balanced/Offensive styles work too, they just require a lot more prediction and even one mistake can cause a horrible loss. Hyper offensive is my favorite kind of play.
  2. @ Paradox This is for 2V2 which do not use Smogon's Tier list. These are the only banned pokemon as far as I know.

    :kikkoman:

    :kikkoman: Soy sauce.
  4. Garchomp, he singlehandedly destroyed the NA-Euro competitive metagame. He gets props.
  5. Yea I wasn't very active on the old Pokesav forums either. I just lurked every so often.
  6. Haha yea, I rather like these forums. It's too bad that I really only know mechanics and next to nothing about pokesav/rom editing/flash carts and the like.
  7. Garchomp. if it's for double battles your gonna want Zapdos + Garchomp as you can fire off discharge and Earthquakes which hit both opposing pokemon , hard. Also the only pokemon to resist both of those types is Gliscor. Ludicolo, Kingdra and Gyrados work well in a rain dance combo to cover each other's weaknesses' However I suggest switcing out Milotic for a Cresselia or something that can support the team and has enough bulk to stall for a decent period of time. While Milotic is bulky, it doesn't do much in the way of team support like cresselia does. And with Gyarados's Intimidate it's no longer pursuit bait! garchomp + zapdos Kingdra + Ludicolo Gyrados + Cresselia I wouldn't send them out in pairs in that order, but I'm confident that it works fairly well.
  8. No rules? Who's going to want to battle you if you don't state what rules you go by? I refuse to battle anyone whos going to use things like Wonderguard Spiritomb or Volt absorb gyrados. At the very least you need to say something like: No tier list, No standard clauses and no Illegitimate hacks. ( pokemon having abilities or moves they cant actually obtain or learn )
  9. David Bowie - Hunky Dory ( album ) Life of Agony - Bad seed ( One song ) It ended up in the folder, I just went with it.

    Manga!

Okami, I love you. My favorite manga's are Monster and Pluto by Urasawa Naoki Vagabond by Inoue takehiko Blue dragon Grado ral ( not the same as Blue dragon ) Shin Angyo Onshi Alive! Alive: the final evolution ( not the same as the one above ) Full metal alchemist ( Oh man so excited for the conclusion ) Hourou Musuko Eureka 7 et cetera. Those are the big ones that really fell in love with. I also Follow Fairy tail/Gantz/One piece but I just want to see how those end and I don't find them really on par with the ones above.
  11. They have a ban list though. Anything that evolves over level 50 is banned, and event only legendaries. I was just curious if he was put on the ban list or is just a regular pokemon to them.
  12. Well with the case of Porygon2 > Porygon-Z theres a 50% chance the ability will change ( I think, I dont remember the exact numbers ) and I know it can change so it doesn't seem like it would be a hack.
  13. Ergh as far as I remember Yache berry + Swords dance set was the way to go as after 1 Swords dance garchomp can even KO most of his counters that switch in. He has the bulk of swampert, attack on par with salamence and typing that makes him immune to sandstorm damage, electric attacks and he takes relatively little damage from Stealth rocks. Question: Is he considered uber by Nintendo with their 6v6 Doubles as the standard form of battle? ( <- actually a question, not sarcasm )
  14. If by lazy, you mean he's the best starter to pick as it makes the game easier for you ( assuming you know how to use infernape ) then yes.
  15. Exactly. Although I think Swampert/Typhlosion are the coolest starters. I was just arguing that in terms of pokemon to start the game with, and beat it the Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape line makes it the easiest. He's arguing over which one is cooler.
  16. I've never caught or seen a single shiny pokemon.
  17. Piplup isn't a bad starter by any means, it just happens to be that until he gets surf he's weaker in comparison to the other two. So in the realm of "starter" pokemon, he doesn't make a good choice if you just want to get through the game quickly or easily, which is the point of debating over a starter pokemon if I'm not mistaken.
  18. Yes Ma'am although honestly just going to the old chateau and killing ghastly's is faster as they die incredibly quickly and give 1 special attack EV per kill and have a 100% encounter rate And yea for the most part is it gradual, but to make up for a rapid flux in EV's the game will add more for one level depending on how many you got. Like getting all 252 special attack EV's would give you more than +3 for that level. Or wiping ev's at 98 and getting 2 stats to max would give like +63 for that level. @Pokemonfan Yes, I agree'd with you haha.
  19. Aye mate, you get +1 stat point for every 4 Ev's allocated to a specific stat. Think of it this way Total EV's = 252 Ev's Gained during current exp stage = 80 On level up the amount of stat points you would get are: 20 ( 80/4 = 20 stat points ) despite having 252 total.
  20. A Tm, he has a pretty varied movepool which makes him incredibly versatile in the same way Gengar and Lucario are. Although Lucario has such a large movepool it's grossly unfair at times.
  21. Thats like saying a Bibarel is better than Darkrai as one is 40 and the others 100 . Normal type is immune to ghost so Darkai at level 40 has a decent chance at being Ko'd by a Bibarel. That doesn't make Bibarel a better pokemon. The only way I can see Empoleon beating Infernape is in the case of a 252hp/252 special attack set where you expect a close combat from infernape and hit it with a STAB super effective surf after the defense drop from CC. Infernape using earthquake totallty ruins that strategy though. But I'm just theorymoning here.
  22. Infernape learns Thunderpunch, Earthquake and Close combat 3 Moves that score super effective hits on all of the water-x types except Dragon-water. What? You have to do that with all of the starters anyway. That isn't even a valid point here. NOT TO MENTION Infenape is in his own speed tier! He outspeeds all of the base 100 speed pokemon, without a speed boosting nature. And any pokemon, save ninjask/Aerodactyl/Crobat/Jolteon/Weavile and a few legendaries Infernape outspeeds all of them and the other 450 pokemon that are slower.
  23. Scizor is my favorite pokemon. It loses speed , yes. But it gains the ability to take almost any attack, has a massive attack stat, and gets a STAB priority attack that takes a large chunk out of anything that doesn't resist it. It's also RED and looks like an Orbital frame, how cool is that? Scizor/Gengar/Gyrados/Jolteon/Tyranitar/Rotom-w Also Cubone/Marowak iis such a depressing pokemon, If you piece together pokedex entries about them it suggests that it misses it's mother so bad that it started wearing her skull and used her other bones as instruments/tools/weapons.
  24. @Pokemonfan You can't use the elemental triangle to determine which starter is the best, and actually no infernape beats out Empoleon Closecombat from 307 attack Infernape does a minimum of 266 damage to max def, Impish or bold Empoleon. ( without Life orb or expert belt ) And since infernape learns Close combat AND Mach punch Empoleon stands no chance with it's offensive set,a s it's KO'd first and with its defensive set cant OHKO infernape
