  1. I like the jumbo ghost zeppelin more than that one. A huge blimp is way cooler than a latern. lol Its just my opinion though. They are done pretty well. A bit sketchy, but sketchy isn't always bad. (Most of my work is done sketchy because I'm a lazy procrastinator. lol) As long as you practice, then unlike me, you are bound to improve. Just keep at it.
  2. Well, I don't know how they can make the PokeDex any bigger. Johto's original Dex was all the known Pokemon at that time, and they for sure aren't going to put any Hoenn or Sinnoh (besides select 4th Gen evolutions of 1st and 2nd Gen Pokemon) into the game before you get the National Dex. From what little info we have on the Dex, it has been increased by 5 (the new evo's that evolve by level up when they have a certain attack in their moveset). That currently makes the max Dex #256. Making it any larger is not needed, though including the Johto Pokemon that are only found in Kanto (almost oxymoronic isn't it?) would be a nice bonus. And Floot, while I kinda agree, since this is just one less thing a wishful "less watered down" Kanto should have had, I don't really care where it is as long as it is included. This just leaves more room for something new in the abandoned Safari Zone building in Fuchsia. Maybe a Pal Park for those who weren't ready to buy a DSi? The HGSS GTS (should be in Goldenrod though)? Perhaps something else new and cool? or maybe they just left the empty building... -.- I rather have something new and cool (as well as being something I'd use,...no contests please.) in its place, but if they were to opt to just have it be an empty building, I rather them have a Pal Park, even though I have Pal Parked everything I'll ever need by now.
  3. Thanks. Added some more quick sketches to my DeviantArt account. I don't feel like double hosting, leeching so here's the link. =P http://the-devils-corpse.deviantart.com/ Added this to the OP as well for lazy peoples like myself.
  4. Yeah, it could be. We've been discussing that possibility in a couple different threads relating to the event. The Balloon Pika is definitely evidence towards Fly being the special move, but then again the Balloon Pika also appears in some promotional artwork for no apparent reason at all occasionally. We'll just have to wait an see. I am hoping for a 4th Gen Flying Pika though.
  5. Now you're stating the obvious. I know every bit of this is speculation. I've posted like 3 times throughout the topic asking why this debate is still going on when there isn't any real evidence to prove any of the theories. But since it won't die, I might as well take part. How is it less speculation? Ratatta live in the Tin Tower, and most likely the Brass Tower before it burned down, they also live in the Burnt Tower after it...well, burnt. We know they were around the area for sure, animal locations don't often change unless they are forced to via an outside influence. We have no proof what-so-ever what Pokemon the tower protectors were using 150 years ago, only the modern ones. For all we know, the Eevee in Ecruteak could be a recent trend that caught on after 3 sages obtained some to evolve into the 1st Gen Eeveelutions to honor the Beasts that rose from the dead. There is no information about the past besides vague bits and pieces about the towers meaning and then the burning, and not much else. You're missing the point there. I was saying that there is fossil evidence of dog domestication 30,000 years ago, meaning most animals that are domestic have been so for a long period of time (though most probably not as long as dogs. lol). Eevee is never truly found in the wild in any of the main games. It is always a gift, imported, or needs to be bred, proof that it is an extremely rare domesticated Pokemon. All this means is that if there were Eevee in the tower, they would have definitely been owned by a trainer. A trainer would keep track of their Pokemon, no people died in the fire, so why would the trainer have been able to get out when the Pokemon couldn't? The natural reaction to protect a Pokemon is to withdraw it into a Pokeball (this is even seen by us players when we switch out a Pokemon we know can't win in a battle), so how did the Eevee die? It would raise more questions of how these guardian sages were protectors of Ho-Oh (who is waiting for the hearts of humans and Pokemon to coincide again) if they failed to even take care of their own Pokemon. Them being common Pokemon (like Ratatta) just makes more sense. The sages, while trying to help all the Pokemon out of the burning flames, can't be sure of how many wild Pokemon are actually living in the tower and they were likely just overlooked. The most outrageous fact is the thinking that a blazing fire, a lightning strike, and a torrential downpour are going to turn resurrected Eevee into "super" Eeveelutions. The 1st Gen Eeveelutions evolve via radiation from special stones. The rain at the very least would have been deadly to those around had it been radiated. =P Looking at it in the big picture, the 3 events are just death warrants. The fire will roast you you, the lightning will flash fry you, and the water will drown you. Makes more sense to me that Ho-Oh just gave the dead Pokemon the types of the disasters that were present at the tower, not that the disasters themselves influenced an Eevee to "super" evolve into a legendary.
  6. Don't worry, its just a magazine screen shot in the video. Its supposedly a leak from CoroCoro, but its an obvious fake. That video has been out for going on a week now, and CoroCoro isn't even set for release till the 11th. It was WAY to early for even a leak.
  7. I couldn't really care about the current names. They are official, its not like I could change them even if I didn't like them. I admit though, Soul Silver does roll of the tongue better than Heart Gold. The one thing I'll never understand though, why were all the hacks Dusk Gold and Dawn Silver? Ho-Oh was the fire type phoenix, the rising sun, and embodiment of life, while Lugia was the psychic ryujin, the setting sun, and embodiment of death. It really should have been Dawn Gold and Dusk Silver. lol
  8. We've already discussed how that theory is almost ALL speculation. The tower burned and the Beast's were resurrected 150 years before the games take place. You have absolutely no idea what Pokemon the Sages used back then, and even if they did use Eevee's that they hadn't evolved yet, had a trainer lost a Pokemon in the fire we would have known what Pokemon died. All evidence points to wild Pokemon that would be found in or around Ecruteak that just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. they were likely fairly weak Pokemon who weren't supposed to die in the fire, and in return they were given great power to prevent a second death. The Sage's using the 3 1st Gen Eeveelutions is likely to honor the Legendary Beasts who rose from the dead and Ho-Oh who returned them to life. Not to mention that Eevee are fully domesticated Pokemon, there has never been a truly wild Eevee in any of the main Pokemon games. The Trophy Garden in Sinnoh is the closest thing we've had, and even Mr. Backlot is forced to have the butler import them to the garden after lying about seeing one in there. Domestication takes a LONG time ("modern" dogs were domesticated up to 30,000 years ago), so its not like Eevee were wild 150 years ago. So if there was Eevee in Ecruteak back then, they were trainer owned. And I think a trainer would know if his pet died. lol No offense, but the Eevee theory is one of the ones least likely to have happened. Comparing the resurrection of the dead Pokemon into the Beasts to a "super" evolution of resurrected Eevee is just plain odd. legendary Pokemon aren't related to normal Pokemon, that's what sets them apart as Legends. 3 dead Ratatta (or other common Pokemon) that people didn't realize were trapped in the fire makes way more sense than 3 dead Eevee that people somehow "misplaced and forgot about".
  9. Everything good sticks to its roots. =P As for coming up with a Crystal title, there is no need. There won't be a Crystal remake, the data for it isn't in DPPt like the Gold and Silver versions are. The HGSS remakes are just following the 2 game pattern that FRLG established.
  10. Klaatu, once again, not saying it won't happen, but I'm still kinda playing Devil's Advocate here. Your Dex theory is still based on too much speculation. Every region, the Dex's Pokemon get updated level up movesets. All the Pokemon that evolve via attack may very well not have the move in their set at all in HGSS. There are other questionable changes you made too. Its obvious that they aren't above modding the Dex now, but to what extent and why are still unknown until the game's release. BTW, your Dex list is huge. A spoiler tag would have been nice. lol ------ Guested, I agree for the most part on everything. I don't really like a contests, and a battleground for other trainers/gym leaders (besides Red, he's a hermit and should stay in the mountains. lol).
  11. Your Pokemon party is full, not the bag. You simply need to go to a Pokemon Center (place where you heal) and head to the PC to the right of the counter. Once you are at the computer, you should click on Someone's PC, and then Deposit. Once you put a Pokemon in the PC and clear a space in your party, Cynthia should hand you the egg with no problem. Hope that helps.
  12. You could have provided the image. :\ I really doubt its true, but its still fun to look at these things. I have no idea what they did or what they are planning. Only the developers know right now. They may have placed the Fossil Pokemon at a lower number than before. Why? I dunno, but they could have done it just because they felt like it. Lapras is shifted back by 5 after all, same number of Fossil Pokes. =P It is definitely off no matter how you look at it though, If you take out the Larvitar or Dratini line to be put in front of Lapras, where do the other two Pokemon come from to fill the gap? Both lines can't fit into the area, unless 6 can now fit in a space of 5. I do agree that the Legends are either staying put, or they are going to scrunch them all together at the end, not push them forward. I know the Pokemon are used by important NPCs, but that doesn't mean they can't change the teams around to not include them. Lets be honest, if they do remove them from the Dex like you are suggesting, then they won't be in those NPCs teams. As no trainer has ever used a Pokemon from outside the Regional Dex until after the Elite 4. Whats the point of rearranging the Dex to take Pokemon out in the first place? If they are taking them out, simply because they are for the most part irrelevant at the time, then why not fill the empty spaces with the 2nd Gen's new evolutions? Gamefreak doesn't always make sense with their actions. We aren't even able to see like half of the Pokemon until we hit Kanto in the old games. I don't see why they didn't either just keep the old Dex unaltered, or heavily shorten it to just include the local Johto Pokemon and upgrade for the National Dex after the Elite 4 like normal. Nothing they are doing is logical. -.- Stupid Gamefreak.....I will forever waste my money on your strange decisions. ------------------------- BTW, Single greatest post on Serebii EVAR. http://www.serebiiforums.com/showpost.php?p=10179066&postcount=2287 The image in the post is supposedly the preview for next weeks Pokemon Sunday HGSS segment. If you pay attention to the first Legendary on the chart, its Mewtwo. Now, I don't personally know for a fact what they segment it talking about, it may just be about the main Legends of the generations, but all of the Pokemon on the chart, save Mewtwo, are obtainable in HGSS. I'm REALLY wanting this to be a Mewtwo confirmation.
  13. And what if it doesn't open up until something in the game triggers it? Similar to how you can't get to the Hall of Origin, or how the Regi's caves don't have Regis in them without the Gigias?
  14. The Yellow Forest has NOTHING to do with HGSS's main game. It is a course for the Pokewalker like the Edge of the Night Sky course that Jirachi unlocks, only you aren't given a Pokemon to unlock the course this time, you are given the course to capture the special Pokemon.
  15. We have no idea what is actually going on with the Dex now. All we know is Growlithe, Arcanine, and Lapras are further back in the Dex than before. There is no proof anything was taken out, though certain Pokemon may have been reorganized now. Not saying they aren't taking anything out, the Kanto starters and legends are about pointless in there unless we are given a Kanto starter by Oak and a chance at the Kanto Legends later on, but they don't need to be in the Dex for that, tis what the National version is for. Though the little information that we have right now doesn't support your Larvitar theory, as that line has 3 Pokemon and the number shift is only by 2. If anything, this is only proof that the Dex may have been expanded, like it needs it. lol It was the largest Regional Dex we've had so far.
  16. What do you mean, Kanto again? -.- Kanto, despite being watered down, was the best part of GSC. I liked seeing what everything had become 3 years later. Its not like we get full continuity very often in Pokemon games. Even though all versions can be connected via some sort of trading or pal parking, we never know what happens after the events we trigger in the version we are playing. As for Kanto's inclusion, there were a lot of people complaining that there wouldn't be enough space or that they would stick with the current standard of 1 region per cart. They didn't seem to understand that a remake would feature everything the original did (within reason).
  17. I noticed that. It was nice to see Pokemon Sunday reveal "new" information before another source this time around, even though it was fairly limited this week. I'm also pretty excited for CoroCoro this month. The early release is great, but that also means that there will probably be a longer dry spell after that.
  18. 1.) 100% kanto confirmation. (Nay sayers be damned. =P) A.) Vermillion Port has glass floors with the water moving beneath it. B.) Magnet Train (In Kanto, or coming from Kanto) looks awesome in 3D for a Pokemon game. 2.) Pokewalker will have a Wi-Fi event soon after HGSS release. There will be a course downloadable to HGSS to be uploaded to the Pokewalker called the Yellow Forest/Yellow Course. This area will be filled with nothing but Pikachu, and some/(all?) will have a special move(s?). The move is currently unknown. http://www.filb.de/1122
  19. The removal of the working slot machines in Platinum says otherwise. =P Granted that's something very minor, and probably shouldn't take more than a day to change, so there really is no excuse for the release difference. I personally would be complaining more about the time between the Japanese release and the US release. =P
  20. If you'd read the whole topic, we already covered that the original RGBY generation had a girl player originally drawn for the game, she just wasn't implemented. The same character was then redrawn for FRLG. BTW, screen shots recently have been labeling the girl as Heart and the guy as Soul. But we all know the guy is is a redesign of Gold, so why isn't she still considered Crys? It may not be obvious, but it is a redesign of Crystal. The girl characters get a a whole new wardrobe based on what is popular in japan at the time. And the only thing REALLY different from the two designs if you put them in the same clothes is the hair, and its practically the same hair design as well. As for the hair color change, Red got a hair color change last generation, but he's still Red. Crystal's hair color change still makes her Crystal. I'm not saying that they will use the Crystal/Kris name for the game, because we are obviously not playing a Crystal version, but at least IMO its the same character.
  21. After the recent video of Lugia's overworld sprite, it will definitely be following me around for a while. Good sprite, and it is HUGE. Most the other huge legends will also be following me, except Ho-oh., cause its overworld is as ugly as its battle sprite. Its feet are positioned weird, and maybe even impossible for the angle it is at. lol Groudon and Rayquaza will be following me if they are huge too though... and Mewtwo and Deoxys as well.
  22. 10% for each time you select the move. It maxes at 100% (ten turns) for double the moves original power. It doesn't boost moves each turn if they take multiple turns to complete though. ie. Outrage isn't boosted every turn, just every time YOU choose to use the attack on the screen.
  23. That's blasphemy! lol To each their own, but seriously.
