    All of the 920+ Pokemon in this save file are legal and will through Bank and HOME. Every pokemon that can legally be obtained as a shiny has its shiny form in the save file, the other pokemon are there in non-shiny form. 90% of the Pokemon in this save file were hatched/captured in USUM meaning that they can be used on battlespot. The first evolutions of almost all of the Pokemon will be level 1; the middle evolutions are often level 70. A majority of the final stage evolution pokemon are a smogon set. I hope this save helps some people out there. All of the complete 806 pokemon sets I could find online were either completely riddled with illegal pokemon, or all of the pokemon only knew 1 move; that is not the case with this save file. Enjoy !     This page contains several savefiles dumped from cartridges that were distributed a plethora of event pokemon directly from the Pokemon Center New York PCNY distribution hardware that recently surfaced. Hopefully it provides enough public satisfaction for everyone, while the preservation team undertakes this grand and lengthy task of hopefully enabling the software to become usable via emulation, as well as hopefully producing hardware mods for a publicly feasible physical method of distributing. This is our most major project by a long shot and will likely take quite some time, however now that everything is permanently in Project Pokemon's possession, any roadblocks toward the final goals would be on the technical side. Luckily the best minds are at work on each aspect of this project, so without revealing any further details in regards to that, have patience and remain optimistic. -------------------- For Generation III, a full box per campaign was distributed, with the TID for each incrementing from 00001 to 00030. The Ruby savefile is a male trainer so the OT names are all blue colored, and was loaded using the PCNYc memory card in Slot B of the NR GameCube. The Sapphire savefile is a female trainer so the OT names are all red colored, and was loaded using the PCNYd memory card in Slot B of the NR GameCube. Seven Gen 3 campaigns were preserved from the Slot A memory cards obtained. Each box in both savefiles have at least a few of every pokemon from the respective campaigns. For Generation II, three full boxes per campaign were distributed, with the TID for each incrementing from 00001 to 00060. This Gold savefile was loaded using the PCNYc memory card in Slot B of the NR GameCube. Four Gen 2 campaigns were preserved from the Slot A memory cards obtained.     This page contains all publicly available savefiles that were dumped from original FireRed carts, which were used to distribute MYSTRY Mew by direct trade. The distribution took place at Toys R Us stores in the United States on 30 November 2006, for only three hours from 12 - 3 pm. Each savefile is credited to who supplied it online. The recently acquired savefile that provided the missing remainder of the boxed 420 Mews is credited to PP.org, for appreciation to the group effort of those that helped obtain and pay for it. The 426 individual .pk3 files can be found here.

Please post here if you need help or are experiencing issues related to this Wineskin wrapper, and use the PKHeX Support forum for issues related to the program. This is a Mac App that was made using Wineskin; it is not a port of PKHeX onto the Mac operating system. With Wineskin, we can recreate an environment where executable files will launch on Mac. As far as what is known, all features in the original program work in this wrapper. There are a few differences though. PKHeX for Mac is styled with MacOS. A friend of mine has stumbled upon Japanese NR Gamecube Discs, memory cards, and cart reader that were used for the Gotta Catch Em All Station at Pokemon Center NY distributions back in the day. We are planning on backing up & preserving everything. I'm posting here to reach out to those in the community who are way more well-versed than we are in the nitty gritty of Pokemon Event Distributions to help dig into the mystery of these discs/carts.   15. Introduced in the middle of February 2020, Pokémon HOME allows for importing from Bank and Let's Go Pikachu / Eevee, and bi-directional connectivity to Sword & Shield & future titles. When a Pokémon is transferred from Bank or Let's Go Pikachu / Eevee or their games of origin into HOME, it is assigned a unique 64 bit number to differentiate it from other uploads stored on the cloud server. Pokémon that have not yet visited HOME do not yet have a HOME tracker. Pokémon that are traded in-game (online/local trades) do not get assigned a tracker. Pokémon that must travel thru HOME to reach the game it resides on must have a HOME tracker (origin->current). Pokémon that are uploaded in the same batch are not guaranteed to have a similar tracker (sometimes incremental). Pokémon that are missing a HOME tracker that should have one, or have a fake one, are rejected for upload (error 10015). Trackers are only a concern in PK8+ formats. Pokémon that aren't yet in the PK8+ (2019) do not have a field for this data. What exactly is this value be used for? Storing data for each game visited outside of HOME (ex. SW/SH, PLA, BD/SP, S/V...) Tracking how Pokémon are traded between users. Detecting if a Pokémon has been modified/cloned from the original upload. Detecting if a Pokémon is newly entered into the HOME system (having a value of zero). HOME trackers will be changed each upload, so a tracker value is not a permanent value. Only HOME can determine if a tracker value is valid. Best practice is to let the server assign you a tracker, rather than assigning a blatantly wrong tracker. For local/online gameplay, GameFreak does not check this metadata, so having arbitrary/lacking tracker values does not matter. Validating a HOME tracker requires API access to HOME, and is not something the hacking community will ever have access to. GameFreak does not validate HOME trackers for online play, but for officially sanctioned VGC events, they do -- you shouldn't be using hacked Pokémon in tournaments anyway (against our rules). Due to the described behavior, here are our recommendations: When creating new Pokémon that are from generations prior to Sword & Shield, transfer into HOME via Bank first. When creating new Pokémon that reside in their game of origin, leave the tracker blank. When creating new Pokémon that reside in a game different from their origin set, generate them in their game of origin then transfer. When modifying any (that have already visited HOME) immutable values (PID, IVs, etc), zero out the tracker then transfer starting from their origin games. Why not create a random tracker value? Again, only HOME can determine if a tracker value is valid. HOME will check tracker values to see if the details match the original upload (modified data). HOME will check tracker values to see if the details are on another user's account (cloned data). HOME will disallow uploads if the tracker doesn't match the data on their server (error code 10015). Uploading to HOME without a tracker value will automatically assign a new one (note: only when entering from their native games). You can receive Pokémon that lack a tracker value from other players via trade (in addition to a game's natives). Using an invalid tracker may fool checking tools (like PKHeX) that do not have access to HOME's API, but can still be checked by trying to upload to HOME manually. Do not be deceitful. PKHeX's default settings are to require tracker values (should be on every non-Gen8 origin Pokémon that is residing in Gen8+, etc), but has a toggle setting to opt-out of strict checking. This is to allow users to create the most-legal data without forging an INVALID tracker value, for in-game play.

Full Documents Related to the Distribution, the full copy of Pokemon Power Volume 6 is attached to this post: In the Fall of 1998 Nintendo Power held a contest to “Win Mew for your Pokémon collection!” 151 winners of this contest would be given the chance to mail their cartridge into the Nintendo Power Headquarters and receive it back with a brand-new mew on their game save. Contest winners were notified by mail by 2/28/1999 that they had won the contest, making this the earliest known Mew distribution in the west. Recently while browsing reddit, I ran across a post from Th4tGuyUKn0 showcasing his Original Red cartridge that was one of the lucky recipients of this contest. After scrolling through the thread, Th4tGuyUKn0 stated that the battery on the game had not yet dried out; upon reading this I immediately messaged him explaining Project Pokémon and asked him if he would be interested in dumping his game save. Luckily, he was all for it! The only problem was he could not remember which of his five Pokémon cartridges he left the mew on, and did not want to risk draining the more than two decades old cartridge battery by checking. Th4tGuyUKn0 graciously decided to send me all of his cartridges so that I could backup the saves and hopefully find the mew. With the amazing research done by @suloku on these save files, we are confident that we have found the Mew in question. In the Pokemon Blue game save we discovered a Mew with the TID 51273 (the same Mew ID# printed on the back of the cartridge) and the OT ‘MARIO’. Suloku has concluded that this Mew is definitely legit. It shares the exact same DVs as the YOSHIBA Mew, matches Mew machine distributions data-wise, and has the same OT Nintendo character naming convention that several forum posts from 2000~ reference. While this does raise questions about what distribution the supposed ‘NINTEN’ Mews are a part of, this Nintendo Power Mew is most certainly legit. Suloku was also able to find the Mew in the red save file as a deleted Pokémon (moved or deleted pokémon can be found in box savedata if it was not overwritten by another pokémon being stored in the same slot). Attached is the the .pk1 of the 1998 Nintendo Power 'MARIO' Mew. Thanks very much again to Th4tGuyUKn0 for sending and trusting us with these cartridges and Suloku for all of the great research, none of this would have been possible without them. Game release dates make it also technically possible to have received an Emerald Mystic ticket on an European game, and we know the USA Aurora Ticket distribution device is compatible with European games (but it only distributed the english wondercard, fully opetational though). - USA and UK games are the very same game rom, so all the english events apply to both, regarless of being European or USA. - The spanish Emerald Aurora ticket wondercard is fine, Nintendo messed up and left Vermillion city instead of updating the wondercard text to Hoenn. The event was never done in Spain, but it could be received at other countries if you used the spanish cart, so it is totally legit, so don't worry, nintendo was very sloppy with this. - Nintendo also messed up the german Eon Ticket (there is photo proof from oficial german distribution that this was already known). Patches for each game have been released after months and months of hard work from fans of the series. The team has also worked with the Wiimmfi and RiiConnect24 teams in order to restore the event Pokémon that were distributed for this game. Other features of the translation include: -Pokémon nickname limit expanded to 10 characters (Japanese 5) -Buddy Passwords fully functional. These can now be found by hitting the Wii Home button, then pressing the "Operations Guide" button. -Pre-patched with Wiimmfi and RiiConnect24 for ease of event access. Friend Rescues do not work currently, but are being looked into. -Item icons and many descriptions ported from Super Mystery Dungeon -Dummied/beta items ported from Explorers of Sky have been restored. Inaccessible in-game, can be accessed with cheats. -It's in English now, which is cool.

  20. Hello everyone, Today I bring you a legit Celebi tour Celebi! This Celebi belongs to @Dr.Matt and he retrieved it back in 2001 in the spanish stop of the Celebi Tour; in fact he provided most of the data for it a year ago, data I posted here: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/forums/topic/13226-pokemon-crystal-version-with-pcny-event-pokemon/?do=findComment&comment=196197 This week I was able to finally meet in person with Dr.Matt. He was able to keep his Celebi from battery dying by storing it in his Stadium 2 cartridge and because he owned a Mega Memory Card which allowed him to backup and dump savegames (but not to transfer over to computer), and with that he also was able to keep multiple copies of the Celebi, including an untouched one just as he received from the Celebi Tour Truck. Unfortunately his Mega Memory card glitched long ago and he lost most of his untouched saves, so after changing the battery to his cartridge he had to restore a save that had AR codes used on it to retrieve the celebi from Stadium 2 (he didn't have the time to play trough the game to reach the point in which Stadium 2 allowed him to retrieve the pokémon), which is why instead of dumping his savegame he traded it over to mine (which is completely clean). Data-wise this should have no effect at all, since the AR codes were used BEFORE any transfer or trade took place, and the AR codes were never used in the process of getting the Celebi out of stadium and trading, but that is the reason why it is my savegame which being uploaded and not his. Only real hardware has been used for all the Stadium 2 transfer and trade process, here are some pictures (sorry for the blurry ones, we were in kind of a hurry): The Celebi as Dr.Matt had in his Stadium 2 (this picture is from a clone he fully trained). As you can see it's 2234 and the Celebi actually has 02233. Dr.Matt thinks distribution started at ID 00000 but they wrote 1 in the first certificate they gave and they just keept adding numbers. Some pictures of the actual trade (I brought two gameboys just in case and we used mine which had full batteries): The savefile contains both an untouched Celebi as Dr.Matt received in 2001 and the same Celebi at level 100 and EV maxed. As a bonus, I also included the legit EUROPE Mew that can be found here: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/forums/topic/40508-gen-1-europe-mew-denmark-event-mew/ The savegame also contains a full legit gen 2 living dex and unowndex in the boxes if anyone is interested. This had a special personal meaning to me, since I became aware my savegames banished in 2011 and finally re-completing the 251 original pokédex by getting the two exclusive legendaries in person is like reliving that moment in my childhood when I first completed my dexes.

  22. Following our recent hack, we’ve finally restored our infrastructure: the forums have been migrated to IP.Board, and we’ve brought back the wiki. Special thanks to our entire administration team, @xorhash, and @ReignOfComputer for helping to set things up. Invision Power Board Invision Power Board (IP.Board, IPB) is a state-of-the-art forum software with a better security reputation than vBulletin, which we used to use. As vBulletin 4 approached EOL and clearly showed its age, we were considering how to proceed: with vBulletin 5 or something else entirely. The choice, as you can clearly see, has been made. Some of you have already asked why we didn’t choose the software du jour XenForo. This is due to a few reasons: peer, our new technical administrator, has worked with XenForo in the past and repeatedly hit its (and peer’s) limits. We had an IP.Board license readily available, whereas we’d have had to purchase XenForo separately. Looking at the track record of vBulletin for security, and seeing how XenForo is mostly the old vBulletin guys starting a new project, there were security concerns. If you have any questions about using Invision Power Board, please create a thread in the Forums Feedback forum. Staff Changes Due to concerns in real life, @Alpha has decided to no longer be the primary administrator. This means he’ll still be around, but will be less active than usual. We thank him for his hard work maintaining Project Pokémon, and his absence is a loss to Project Pokémon. Helping to fill his place will be myself and @peer, who is our new technical administrator. Furthermore, we’d like to announce the promotion to super moderator for @Kaphotics, @SciresM, and @theSLAYER. Data Loss The hackers deleted a large quantity of data, including some of our more recent backups. As a result, we have lost one year of forum attachments and a up to a few hours of forum posts. The good news is that @theSLAYER, our event moderator, has stockpiled generations of events and several programs, so the situation could have been far worse. @peer is looking into setting up automatic offsite backups to prevent this from happening again. Hashed passwords are still in the wild. We strongly encourage you to immediately change your passwords here and everywhere you’ve used the same passwords. While hashed passwords are not supposed to be reversible (i.e. your password shouldn’t be able to be derived from the hash), vBulletin’s hashing algorithm is very weak, making it that much more important you change your passwords. The Future Let’s not let the data loss get us down; it’s time to move forward. With the recent release of Pokémon Sun and Moon, there still cool things to discover, technical details to be researched, and ROM hacks to be created. (Not to mention there’s some cool stuff going on in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon side of things - more on this later.)   23. Latest Version: v1.3.0 (2019-04-16) An enhancement hack of Pokémon Platinum. Summary Pokémon Renegade Platinum is an enhancement hack of Pokémon Platinum Version, similar to my other hacks such as Sacred Gold & Storm Silver and Blaze Black & Volt White. In a nutshell, this hack generally keeps the same story flow as the original Pokémon Platinum but adds in a significant number of gameplay differences, including but not limited to access to all 493 Pokémon in the game, revamped Trainers including tougher boss fights, lots of (optional) changes to weaker Pokémon to make them easier to use, the removal of trade only evolutions and a number of other quality of life changes. The specifics of what parts have been changed are explained in the paragraphs below. Features All 493 Pokémon Available All Pokémon that were originally in Platinum, from Bulbasaur to Arceus, are available to obtain within the game. The wild Pokémon for every single area have been modified extensively, now including species not ordinarily found in the Sinnoh region. It's possible to catch or obtain the majority of Pokémon before facing the Elite Four for the first time, meaning you can construct almost any team you want. In the cases where a Pokémon being in the wild would not be thematically appropriate - for example, starter Pokémon or legendaries - new events have been added to the game to make obtaining these Pokémon feel as unique as they normally would. The details for where to get each Pokémon can be found between the wild Pokémon and special events documents. Additionally, the correct locations for wild Pokémon are also shown in the Pokédex. (Big thanks to Mikelan98 for that feature!) Revamped Trainer Battles The Pokémon rosters of every Trainer in the game has been edited, now including Pokémon from the National Dex. Trainer levels have also been modified to fit the new level curve, which is now higher than before due to bigger Pokémon rosters and greater use of evolved Pokémon awarding larger amounts of EXP. Trainers can now expect their Pokémon to reach the 70s by the Elite Four, instead of the 50s that was the case in the original Platinum. Additionally, all Trainers use the AI that is normally only used by boss Trainers such as the Elite Four. The details for what each Trainer has can be seen in the Trainer Pokemon document. Please note that this feature is purely for the normal Trainer battles in the game; the Battle Frontier has not been changed. Harder Boss Battles Important battles such as the rival, Gym Leaders, Galactic Admins or the Elite Four have had their difficulty increased further than normal Trainers. Gym Leaders and Elite Four members now always use 6 Pokémon instead of the 3-5 from before, and all of these battles have them using high IV Pokémon with custom movesets, held items, and sometimes ideal natures. The first round Elite Four and the Champion also have the unique property of randomly picking from four teams to battle you with, making it impossible to know in advance what their lead Pokémon will be. They shouldn't be literally impossible to beat, but are definitely a much greater challenge than the original version. You can expect some of your Pokémon to faint in battle unless you bring some strategies of your own to the table. However, they do retain their aesthetics from the original, including their type focuses and signature Pokémon. Their signature Pokémon are also now equipped with a Poké Ball seal for some extra flair! The details for all of these battles can be seen in the Trainer Pokémon file in the documentation. Pokémon Modifications The Fairy-type from the Gen 6 games and later has been added in Renegade Platinum, replacing what was previously the ??? type. All Pokémon have had their typing, base stats and wild held items updated to match what they are as of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, meaning you can now use Pokémon such as Clefairy and Ralts with their Fairy-type as in the later games. Pelipper and Torkoal also gain their new Drizzle and Drought abilities from Gen 7, and a lot of Pokémon gain their Hidden Ability from Gen 5 and later as a secondary standard ability in this hack. All Pokémon have also had their level up move sets completely revamped. Pokémon will now learn their normal level up moves but now also learn other moves that enable them to be the best they can be, including TM moves, Egg moves and moves they only have access to in previous or later generations, up to and including Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! Some Pokémon also get the chance to learn entirely new moves that they never could before, such as Megahorn for Pinsir and Earth Power for Typhlosion. The levels at which they learn the moves have been structured so that you can reliably access them just by naturally playing the game (i.e. you won't get moves at extremely high levels). Some Pokémon have also had their TM/HM compatibility modified, in some cases adding in moves that they could ordinarily only learn in later generations (such as Drain Punch for Toxicroak), and other cases granting them access to entirely moves by TM (e.g. Drain Punch for Dusknoir). Additionally, several TMs have been replaced with new moves, including Scald, Wild Charge, Bug Buzz, Hyper Voice, Dazzling Gleam and Hurricane. Pokémon TM compatibility has been adjusted to match their compatibility in later generations, or in the case of the newcomers Bug Buzz and Hurricane, my best generous guess has been made as to what might be able to learn them. There's also been much greater compatibility added for Fly, meaning you don't necessarily almost always need a Flying-type Pokémon to get anywhere conveniently. In addition to this, there are also a number of custom changes to make certain Pokémon unique and/or easier to use. Many Pokémon who are a bit weaker have received buffs to their base stats, meaning previously weak Pokémon like Butterfree and Ledian can now actually put up a fighting chance. Some Pokémon with decent stats in bad areas have had their stats reshuffled, such as Glaceon who is now faster but less defensive. Some Pokémon have also been given new types to play with, such as the now Bug and Dragon-type Flygon, or the Ghost and Fairy-type Mismagius. Some Pokémon also gain new abilities that they can't ordinarily get, such as Weavile gaining the Technician ability. If you don't like the sort of changes that are listed in that last paragraph, there is an additional patch you can use called "ClassicVersion.xdelta" which will erase these changes from the game, leaving them the same as they would be as of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. The details for these modifications can be found in the Pokemon Changes and Type Changes files in the documentation. Quality of Life Changes A number of quality of life changes have been made to the game. All Pokémon names are now decapitalised everywhere outside of standard NPC dialogue. This means in battle, the Pokémon status screen etcetera, all names show up as they would in Gen V and later. Pokémon natures are now displayed in the stat screen with their stat boost and reduction shown next to them (as stat highlights were not a thing in Platinum). For example, where it previously said "Brave nature.", you should now see "Brave (+Atk, -Spe)". All Pokémon have their egg cycles reduced to 0, meaning they hatch very quickly. The Poké Radar is now given to you near the beginning of the game. The Bicycle is actually given to you at the start of the game. The Pokétch, still given to you near the start, now includes all 25 Pokétch apps right off the bat. Additionally, the three coupon miniquest has been removed. The Move Relearner and the Move Tutors that previously required Heart Scales and Shards respectively no longer require payment for their services; you can just talk to them and they'll do their job for free. Additionally, all three Move Tutors now sit in the same house on the southern part of Route 212. The Move Deleter is now available as early as Oreburgh City, meaning you no longer need to wait until Canalave City to delete any HMs. When fishing with a rod, an encounter is now guaranteed, as opposed to previously where it was possible to 'not get a bite'. Honey trees have also been given a total overhaul and now give you a Pokémon instantly instead of you having to wait for several hours. The encounters for honey trees are different from before as they are now script driven - you can view what is on each tree in the Wild Pokémon document. TMs are now effectively infinite; picking up or obtaining a TM will reward you with 99 copies of that TM, and these can also be refreshed by talking to a new NPC at the Pokémon League. These TMs cannot be bought at any stores and also cannot be sold. Most TM locations have been reshuffled and can be seen in the Item Locations document. You will only find TMs from either picking them up off the ground or receiving them from NPCs. (It unfortunately proved impossible to make the TMs actually infinite, hence this method instead). The need to use HMs has been removed where possible. Surf, Waterfall and Rock Climb are still necessary, but Cut trees, Strength rocks (with one exception in the Distortion World), Rock Smash rocks and foggy weather have been completely removed from the game, meaning your Pokémon no longer need to learn these moves to progress. Where roadblocks are necessary, NPCs have replaced them and will disappear when necessary. This does mean there are now some cases where you can access areas much earlier than you were previously able to do. Additionally, any darkness on the map has also been removed, meaning Flash is also no longer ever necessary. The Pokémon sprites are those normally used in Heart Gold and Soul Silver, which for the most part look better than the Platinum equivalents. There are a couple exceptions to this where I've left the front sprite as the Platinum one for Pokémon such as Blastoise, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Tyranitar and Togekiss. Additionally, the mini sprites used in the Pokémon menu and the Boxes are now the Gen 6 icons (albeit some with some slightly off colours), with thanks to MeroMero for distributing a premade file containing them. Most of these changes are not documented anywhere, but you may notice them as you play through the game. Increased Shiny Rate By default, Renegade Platinum features a new shiny rate of 1/512, meaning while shiny Pokémon are still reasonably rare, it's significantly more likely that you'll come across one while playing the game. This shiny rate does not affect the Poké Radar's ability to generate shiny patches of grass, but does otherwise affect every other method of Pokémon encounter (eggs, gifts, wild etc). If this feature is undesirable, there are additional patches included in the download that can make the shiny rate 1/4096 (equal to Gen 6 and above) or 1/8192 (equal to Platinum's normal rate) instead. Increased Gameplay Speed The download includes a "SpeedUpPatch" which can be applied to Renegade Platinum which adds a few things to speed up the normally sluggish gameplay in Platinum. It does three things: all text will appear instantly, HP and EXP bars will no longer animate between positions and the 30 FPS cap of the game has been removed, allowing it to run up to a maximum of 60 FPS depending on the hardware capability. These changes together mean battles can go significantly faster. Please note that these speed up features are not included in the base Renegade Platinum and need to be applied via one of the additional patches supplied in the download. New Events and NPCs A number of small events have been added to the game, including an additional event with Team Galactic, small events to obtain starters and legendaries, more in-depth events to get mythical Pokémon such as Mew, Celebi and Arceus and more. Some new events have also been added that change the story flow slightly. For example, upon arriving at Eterna City, you will find that Gardenia isn't present at her gym. The player is instead required to make a short detour to Route 216 - which was previously inaccessible until gaining six badges - giving them the chance to pick up some Ice-type Pokémon much earlier than before. Another example is that the player now visits Pal Park between going to Celestic Town and Canalave City. You also now battle Lucas or Dawn a few times as you go about your adventure! In addition, there are also some battles with each of the stat trainers (Cheryl, Mira etc), related to their individual events. There are lots of small events that allow you to obtain Pokémon. For example, you can get an Eevee early in the game that is being taken care of by the player's mother. You can get a Lapras from an old lady in Pastoria City who has a small story to tell, and you can get a Beldum by talking to Steven, who is now taking up residence in Oreburgh City. And much more! There are also a number of additional NPCs that will do things such as sell you evolution items, give you items unique to certain Pokémon such as the Stick, and a whole new training NPC in Solaceon Town's Pokémon Daycare who will help you train your Pokémon in levels or EVs, making any necessary grinding a lot faster. The details for some of these modifications can be found in the NPC Changes and Special Events files in the documentation. Evolution Modifications Pokémon that previously had to be traded to evolve can now evolve within the game itself. Those that evolve by trade and did not require an item now simply evolve at Level 36. Those that did require an item can now evolve by having the item used on them, similar to an evolution stone. Additionally, a number of Pokémon have had their evolution levels lowered to make them easier to use. For example, Omanyte and Kabuto, who previously wouldn't evolve until a high level 40, now evolve at a much easier Level 30, allowing them to keep up with the other Pokémon in your teams. Finally, some evolution methods were changed to be less restrictive. Pokémon who could evolve from happiness at specific times of the day now just need to be happy, and Eevee, who previously required happiness and location evolutions, now uses standard evolutionary stones for all of its evolutions. The details for these modifications can be found in the Evolution Changes file in the documentation. Move Modifications A number of useless or rarely seen moves have been replaced with moves from later generations. Examples include Draining Kiss, Scald, Icicle Crash, Drill Run, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Disarming Voice, Bulldoze, Play Rough, Hurricane and Wild Charge. New moves borrow animations from other moves that are similar (e.g. Drill Run uses Horn Drill's animation), or have animations that are slightly modified from a different move (e.g. Moonblast uses Mist Ball with a moon background). These new moves can be learnt by level up or in some cases, TM. In addition to this, a number of moves have had their stats adjusted slightly. For example, Shadow Punch and Shadow Claw are now a much stronger 80 base power. HMs in particular have been boosted to make them more attractive as battling moves, such as Fly now having 100% accuracy and Rock Climb being a Rock-type move. The details for these modifications can be found in the Move Changes file in the documentation. Item Modifications The locations of many items in the game have been shuffled around, allowing the player better access to them throughout the game. For example, the various evolution items are now found much earlier in the game, and can also be purchased from either the Veilstone Department Store, the Veilstone Game Corner or from an NPC in Snowpoint City. Locations for most items are shown in the Item Changes document. You'll be able to find items such as the EXP Share and the Soothe Bell much earlier than previously. TMs are now effectively infinite, as explained in the quality of life changes. Poké Balls, Great Balls and Ultra Balls have also been made cheaper to assist the player in what will likely end up being a greater amount of Pokémon caught than normal. A few previously unused items are now used or replaced with new Key Items as well, relevant to new events within the game. Additionally, the previously event only Key Items such as the Secret Key, Member's Card, Gracidea and Azure Flute can now be obtained and their relevant events unlocked within the normal gameplay. The details for these modifications can be found in the Item Changes file in the documentation. Trade Modifications The in-game trades found in Platinum have been adjusted to give you new Pokémon that are otherwise hard to find at the stage of the game the trade is at. For example, you can now trade for a Spheal in Oreburgh City. In addition to this, the obedience check that makes traded Pokémon not listen to you has been disabled, meaning you can use these traded Pokémon with no worries. The details for these modifications can be found in the Trade Changes file in the documentation. Documentation As you may have seen at the end of each section, there is documentation available in the form of text files for mostly every change that has been made in the game. The files are included in the download for the hack, but can also be viewed online at this link: https://pastebin.com/u/RenegadePlatinum. Screenshots Please open the spoiler below to see a number of screenshots of gameplay from Renegade Platinum. Tools Used BTX Editor: Made by KazoWAR, this tool was helpful for getting some new overworlds into the game, such as Steven, a few of the legendaries and more. crystaltile2: An invaluable tool for importing/exporting/locating particular files from NARCs, as well as being very helpful when implementing the Fairy-type. Hex Workshop: Helpful for those times where I needed to do things via hex editing. JackHack Tools: A number of tools from his site were used, including a Pokémon Editor, Attack Editor and Trade Editor. kiwiDS: Helpful for some cases where I needed to get the individual files for a NARC. Lua Scripts: A Lua script by Kaphotics that displayed the X/Y coordinate of the player on the map, allowing me to position overworlds correctly. PKHeX: While not used for actual development, it came in useful a few times to figure out how things worked. PokeDSPic Platinum: Used in a few cases where sprites had to be modified from their standard HG/SS versions. PPRE: Used primarily for scripting and placing overworlds on the map, as well as some text editing. Both 0.14b and 0.12 were used to get around the issues related to freezes caused when saving the script in 0.14b. SDSME: Used for editing text that wasn't tied to a map, as well as configuring the "weather" for places like Twinleaf Town and Wayward Cave. Tinke: Extremely helpful for some graphical changes, including the Steven trainer sprite and adding the Renegade Platinum logo to the title screen. I also used some tools that I made on my own to deal with the wild encounters and level up moves, as the existing tools had usability issues or bugs preventing me from doing what I wanted. These two tools aren't currently publicly available but I can hand them over on request, they're just a bit shoddy! Credits Alpha, SCV: The creators of PPRE, which was incredibly useful. JackHack96: I used a number of his tools when building the hack. JimB16: For his Platinum disassembly on GitHub. While it wasn't used to actually develop with, it came in useful quite a few times to locate certain bits of data (including the solution for dealing with the traded Pokémon obedience issue). Kaphotics: A very talented hacker in the data mining sense, Kaphotics' wealth of NDS knowledge helped me to avoid one or two potential issues as I was building the game; his advice was incredibly helpful. The Lua scripts for the player's position and the Instant Text code that is implemented into the "SpeedUpPatch" were both made by him, too. KazoWAR: For his BTX editor tool as well as his YouTube tutorial on adding Trainer sprites to Pt/HG/SS via Tinke. Markitus95: The creator of SDSME, which was also useful. MeroMero: Another extremely talented NDS hacker, MeroMero posted a lot of tutorials on Project Pokémon that were directly relevant to things I wanted to do, such as changing the shiny rate or finding out how to adjust the position of Pokémon sprites in battle. His tutorial for adding Fairy-type to HG/SS was also what I adapted to get it working in Platinum. Finally, the Gen 6 mini Pokémon icons were also completely thanks to him (as seen here: https://projectpokemon.org/home/forums/topic/36081-gen-6-pokémon-icons-for-gen-4-and-5/). mikelan98: An extremely talented NDS hacker, he produced lots of helpful tutorials for NDS hacking, and it was also him who provided files allowing me to show Pokémon locations in the Pokédex and for the Fairy-type icon to display correctly in the Pokédex. Both of these would have been impossible without him! sylphate: A talented graphics artist who made the logo for Renegade Platinum. He's also the artist for the logo for my Rising Ruby and Sinking Sapphire hacks! I'd also like to thank my fanbase in general, who are always very encouraging and excitable. It wouldn't be half as fun to make these without you guys around! Known Bugs Open the spoiler if you want to see any known bugs for the game. All known bugs are inconsequential and shouldn't cause any real problems when playing, but a lot are rather difficult to fix. There's documentation text files, a patch to change a Platinum ROM into a Renegade Platinum ROM, and then some additional patches which can be applied to a Renegade Platinum ROM which can give you the classic version (less Pokémon changes), increase speed and/or change the shiny rate. It also includes a recommended patcher called Delta Patcher Lite (which may only be usable on Windows - Mac users can try MultiPatch), a changelog for the game and some instructions on how to patch. There's also Readme files in each patch folder to further explain what each of the different files do and what you need to do to get it working correctly. If you get into any problems, make sure you've read the Readme files first. Generally, you will need to get a Platinum ROM (which you'll have to obtain by yourself), then use the correct patch for that as there's a v1 and a v1.1 of Platinum. After that, you can then apply additional patches to it with Delta Patcher Lite, but you may need to uncheck the "checksum validation" when using additional patches to be able to apply more than two of them to your game.   25. As part of this year's annual Christmas releases to the Pokemon event community, today we present the first Mew ever known to be preserved from the distribution held at SpaceWorld 1997. Not only is this our first Mew from SW97, it is also the oldest/earliest pokemon event we've ever had the privilege of preserving. This Mew was recently discovered through a post on Reddit by u/salinbreezy, in which he shows the Mew on a Japanese Blue cart that he found at a thrift store alongside several other Japanese Pokemon cartridges. I'd like to give special thanks to @suloku and @HaxAras who both emailed me in late September to inform me of it, while suloku asked me to contact salinbreezy myself to counter the time and expense of overseas shipping. Thankfully salinbreezy happily agreed to ship me his cartridge to allow me to dump the savefile. After direct examination, we're positive that this Mew is very likely legitimate. This Mew was distributed like most events of the era, by a "Mew machine", which as we know distributes identical Mews with TIDs incremented by 1 to the player's party. Bulbapedia provides a bit further information on the event, stating: To be eligible to receive a Mew, players had to submit an application postcard; only 100,000 people were able to receive this Mew. While originally going to be run from November 22 to 23, 1997, the distribution was later extended to the non-exhibition day November 24, 1997. While this is the ヨッシー (YOSHI) OT variant of the SW97 Mew, one of the other known OT possibilities is ルイージ (LUIGI). This is TID 15219 of the ヨッシー Mews. Again, I'd like to thank salinbreezy for allowing us to preserve this Mew. It may very well be the only Mew we ever see from SpaceWorld 1997, as the life of the batteries retaining these old savefiles are at their very end.     These are Pokemon FireRed savefiles which contain a compilation of legit event Pokemon for the Generation 3 games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed & LeafGreen). These savefiles have been in development by several ProjectPokemon members since April 2016, but has been hosted exclusively on another website. As of now, these savefiles will be concurrently hosted on ProjectPokemon as well. The Genaration III Pokemon games had a ton of events, many of which are extremely hard to obtain today. The Gen III games predate any sort of internet trading, and the event Pokemon from this generation have often been migrated up to newer Pokemon games. These factors make it quite hard to find legitimate event Pokemon for Gen III. The only way we can expect to obtain more event Pokemon for Gen III is if others share their save/pk3 files, so please consider sharing if you happen to have some!   28. EVERYONE SHOULD BE AWARE THAT USING THIS PROCESS HAS A MODERATE TO HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF CREATING AN ILLEGAL POKEMON. DO NOT TRADE THESE ON OTHER FORUMS OR COMMUNITIES AS LEGAL. MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE MENU/ANIMATION AFFECTING THE RNG, READ HERE. First and foremost, although all of these Jirachi's are "legal" and can be in theory generated and retrieved by the Pokemon Channel game; in actuality lots of them could almost certainly not be redeemed through normal RNG on retail hardware/emulators. There is an entire methodology that goes into determining whether or not a certain Jirachi spread can actually be redeemed through RNG (due to the necessity to hit things are certain frames that would be impossible to interact with on actual hardware), and even if you follow that guide to a tee, sometimes redeeming that specific spread Jirachi will just not be possible. If you want to ensure that the Jirachi you are trying to redeem could actually be retrieved on hardware, there are more in-depth guides here and here. With that said, nothing "illegal" is being created through this process; the Pokemon Channel game can, in theory, produce all of these different spread / shiny Channel Jirachis. For this process you are going to need: A developer version of Dolphin Emulator at least 5.0+ and a PAL Copy of the Pokemon Channel A version of VBA + a western Ruby/Sapphire game that can redeem the Jirachi. The ability to run this python script RNG Reporter 10.3.4 (Optional) A list of very good possible Channel Jirachi Spreads One final note before starting, the majority of the research that was done into figuring this out was done by people with much more knowledge of RNGing Channel Jirachi than I will ever have. So if you want to know most of the logic behind it, I probably cannot help you haha. All I did was figure out how to put this guide together. First off, we are going to run RNG Reporter 10.3.4 and make sure the Method is set to 'Channel.' Then you are going to choose a desired seed, and the maximum amount of frames you are willing to go up to. For this example, and to keep things simple, I picked a random seed '83213901,' set the frame counter a very small amount (5000). and clicked off the "Shiny Only" box as I want to retrieve a shiny Channel Jirachi. Now we are going to run the python script linked in the requirements. I have set the IV and thresh to 0, in order to generate every possible spread between frames 0-5000. This takes longer, and for an actual desired spread you would want to find out what threshold the Jirachi would be at, in order to generate as few results as possible. Once we've run the python script, you want to find the PID of your desired spread. Make sure that the spread matches, and then copy down the highlighted memory address of your spread. This is the important part! Next you are going to want to launch Dolphin in developer mode. In order to do that you need to launch dolphin from CMD or command line with the '-d' parameter. At this point you want to setup VBA and make sure that it is ready to connect to Dolphin. Once that is done, launch the Pokemon Channel and proceed through the standard Jirachi redemption process to this screen: Once on this screen you want to find the Memory location '8033d888' and set the value equal to whatever you address that you copied from the python script.     This page contains the first ever publicly available savefile that was dumped from an original Pokemon Red cart, which was used to distribute YOSHIRA Mew by direct trade. The distribution took place at Toys R Us stores in the United States from the 8th to 12th of December 1999. The players who were allowed to obtain a Mew were determined among the first 1500 customers at each Toys R Us store on 26 November 1999, where they were able to receive a special "Peel & Win" sticker card (pictured above). 200 of these cards at each store contained the text "Caught Me!" underneath the sticker of Mew. These Mew distribution carts are known to have been either a Red or a Blue cartridge, which were sealed into a GameBoy Pocket with official Nintendo non-tamper security tape. So far only two devices have publicly surfaced on the internet. The first one was a Blue cartridge still sealed into a silver GBP, of which pictures have been on the internet for several years (pictured above). This device is said to have been lost in shipping during ownership change in 2013. The second one is a Red cartridge that has since been cut loose from its GBP, but the Nintendo security tape is still intact on the cartridge (pictured above). This Red cartridge was first seen on Reddit several months back, which is owned by a former Toys R Us employee who personally distributed Mews from the cartridge back in 1999. I recently contacted this Redditor, and offered to ship her my cart dumper in order to get the savefile dumped and safely preserved. As save data in the first two generations rely on a low-power battery, after approximately 18 years it was clear that the savefile would not have survived much longer. Due to this and the extreme rarity of these devices, this may have very well been a one time opportunity to ever preserve save data from one of these carts. Every Mew has identical IV stats: 5 HP, 10 Attack, 1 Defense, 12 Speed, and 5 Special. Every Mew in this savefile has the Original Trainer name of YOSHIRA (none YOSHIRB). I can only speculate that perhaps those on the Blue cartridges contained YOSHIRB Mews. The Trainer IDs are all unique however, and imply the Mews were generated in groups of 5 (eg. 16385, 16386, 16387, 16388, 16389, then 16443, 16444, 16445, 16446, 16447, and so on). My theory is that the Mews were generated with a "Mew machine", which was a quicker method used at other event locations to distribute YOSHIRA/YOSHIRB Mews. We know these machines distributed Mews with TIDs that incremented by 1, so due to the Trainer IDs we see here, we could assume that each savefile had different Mews(or at least that several different savefiles may exist). So other than TID, the Mews on this savefile are all identical. The way I figure it, a cart was inserted in a Mew machine, a party full of 5 were generated, the cart was removed, and while someone manually placed those 5 Mews in a PC Box, another cart was in the machine having it's party filled. I don't figure it could have been practical to give every cart unique Mews, but multiple carts were filled to have a wider variation of existing TIDs. After a handful of carts were full of Mews, their savefiles were likely copied among the hundreds of carts send to Toys R Us stores. Keep in mind though, this is purely my speculation based of the information we have. All the traded pokemon from this savefile had been previously released, so only the Mews remain. Box 11 and 12 are totally empty. Box 5 and 10 are each missing one or two Mews. Boxes 1 to 4, and 6 to 9 remain fully untouched. I did return a few Mews from the party to their proper box slot, so the TIDs line up as they were originally. Any oddball TIDs that couldn't be matched up were placed in the Party. I also want to note that I did request the rom to be dumped as well, and it was 100% identical to any other retail Red cart. While we were 99% positive this was obviously the case, it's still nice to have that confirmation. In the past some people have speculated whether or not the rom was special and would have the PC filled with Mews if a New Game was started. Once again, I want to give special thanks to Jenn from Reddit, because without her generosity, we may have never been able to obtain one of these savefiles. She did promise to supply her personal experience/memory of the event and any details, so when she does, that will be shared here as well.

Event Gallery Updates A few weeks ago, we introduced new sections to our Event Gallery for events from generations 1-3, and last week, we introduced the Unreleased/Beta Pokemon Data section to store files such as a Celebi that was on the Mystery Gift servers without being distributed (and was then later distributed on the Pokémon Bank), the partner Pokémon from the Diamond/Pearl Kiosk Demo, and the Totem Pokémon from Sun/Moon. Credit to @theSLAYER for organizing everything. We also could not have done this without the help of the community, so we are awarding those who helped some badges. Badges In the Project Pokémon forums, you may have noticed that some members have colored usernames and icons underneath their avatars. We refer to these icons as "badges", and they are awarded to users who have contributed something to the community. A full list of our badges, username colors, and what they mean can be found here.   35. Introduction Howdy all. After the nightmare that is the question-fest in the comment section of the Japanese Shiny Tapu Koko, I decided to take my time to write this, in hopes that it will shed light on some questions surrounding this, and also future events. Groundwork in terminology To ensure we are all on the same page, some refresher on the terms that will be used. 3DS region refers to the region that your 3DS belongs to, named as per seen in your system settings page. Examples inside: Game Save Language refers to the language you selected at the start of the game. Wonder Card Language refers to the language of the wonder card, identified by the distribution text and distribution title. That is how our wonder cards are categorized in our Event Gallery. Pokemon Language refers to the language of origin of the Pokemon itself. Most wonder cards are programmed to have the generated Pokemon follow the Game Save Language, as opposed to the Wonder Card Language. Region locked: Event redemption (usually code) only redeemable on that one region. Region Free: Event redemption not restricted by regions. Region Expanded: Event may allow multiple regions, but not all. Now that we are all caught up, more reading! Types of distributions in Generation 7 Right now, these are the primary types of distributions, and how they are categorized: Serial code - Region locked or region expanded Local Wireless - Region Free Nintendo Network - Region locked An example of such a scenario is the Lunar Shiny Magikarp. Also, it appears that for HKTW unique distributions, you can only receive the distribution on EU 3DS, If your game save language is ENG, JPN, KOR, CHS or CHT. (thanks @Kirzi ) [meaning otherwise, you won't be able to receive the wonder card] Region locked options The simplicity of Local Distribution events Most, if not all, of Local Wireless and Infrared Region Free events only broadcast the wonder card in one language, which is normally the native language spoken in that country. Example, events held at Mega Tokyo Pokemon Center in Tokyo, Japan usually have Wonder Card Language as JPN. Events held in some mall in South Korea usually has Wonder Card Language as KOR. And since these events are Region Free, you can go and receive them on any 3DS region. Don't get duped by the Language Tab in a summary screen Ah, that black box that is the stuff of nightmares. During the release of the JPN Tapu Koko, people thought that only one that bears the "JPN" can be legit. WRONG. The language of the Pokemon (that we know is generated by Game Save Language) isn't the same as 3DS Region. It'll show up as long as language of Pokemon is different from game save language. Here's an example of the Legal Tapu Koko. As you can see, name and language is ENG, language tag doesn't appear (because game save language is same as PKM language), and 3DS Region is JP, meaning it's completely legal. It is possible for an event to force the pkm language to match the wonder card language, but so far it's only done on Ash-Greninja. Always be aware if the event is Region Locked, and whether it forces the Language of the Pokemon to follow Wonder Card Language. PS: PKHeX isn't programmed to deal with region locked events, as the wonder card themselves doesn't show whether it is region locked. So you may have a Pokemon with the wrong region, and PKHeX wouldn't correct you on it. Conclusion And there you have it. I've imparted all the knowledge I know regarding this. Make good use of this information. I'll give you a potato for surviving this long post, but I can't. Feel free to ask questions, However, anyone who posts questions that have the answers in this, (basically giving me the impression that you didn't read this) shall be royally punished.   38. About this release General idea Explorers of Alpha has been developed with replayability and accessibility in mind. Ever since injecting custom code has been normalized in the Sky modding community, most of the changes aim to implement new mechanics and provide the most complete and interesting experience possible while retaining the core Explorers of Sky story and environment. About starters and getting started All leader/partner combinations are available to the player, meaning the starter and partner can now share the same type or species (credits to Frostbyte). Starter List Selector - You can choose any player and partner independently from the six following lists: - If you'd like your starter to be randomized, a "Surprise me!" option is available. Each time it's selected, it generates a fully random list. - The starters screen has proper descriptions for all normal starters, explaining their stat curves, moves, starter moves, typing, IQ group, and more (credits to Adex for the code). The base game's starter and partner restrictions have been lifted. Starter Selection by Inputting an ID This ID corresponds to the entry's internal ID and is strictly between 1 and 552. No guide is linked to this option as it is not intended to be fully user-friendly but rather an option for those who want a fully customized game experience. The game lets you preview the selected entry as both leader and partner so you can decide before starting a playthrough. With both options, your starter receives an egg move depending on its ID: Additionally: Ascend Stone Mark I and Mark II are now the common evolution items for your starter and partner. They evolve via normal means otherwise. Completing a one-attempt optional dungeon after Sky Peak grants you two Mark I stones, unlocking earlier evolution. 2 Mark II stones are awarded after clearing Zero Isle Center. General game feel changes The general game UI has been overhauled. This includes Arceus-themed splash screens for the start menu, taken directly from HeartGold/SoulSilver. You start the game with a 48-slot bag and 1,000 slots in storage. Super Mystery Dungeon-style item icons appear before item names (patch created by me). Upon joining the guild, you will receive a set of useful starting items. Game modes After finishing Beach Cave and registering as a new Exploration Team, you can choose from the following game options: L-Trigger Overworld Menu The L-trigger in the overworld opens a menu where you can manage various in-game options: Recruitment Toggle Enable or disable recruitment at any time (still disabled in certain story dungeons). Experience Share Toggle Exp. Share on or off. The default experience amount depends on the upgrade level (see below). Challenge Management Forfeit challenges (if allowed) or switch challenges if new ones are unlocked. Level Scaling Enable or disable level scaling. Inverse Mode Toggle Reverse type matchups. Unlock this mode by recruiting Palkia. Note: Inverse mode interactions account for special mechanics such as Psychic moves on Dark-types affected by Miracle Eye or the Metang Scarf, and Scrappy effects on Ghost-types. Inverse mode can be disabled even during forced scenarios. Daily cutscenes Enable or disable daily cutscenes (Sharpedo Bluff, Guild eating). Allows to circumvent some game issues. Difficulty Adjustment Before Darkrai, you can only lower your difficulty if it's too challenging. All difficulties are unlocked after defeating Darkrai. Vanilla and Difficult difficulties can be switched freely at all times. Text Speed Change the speed of in-game text at any time. Custom Typings Toggle custom typings on or off. Player oriented Quality of Life An update system ensures that save files from previous versions are compatible with the latest version. The FAQ board in Guild Sublevel 1 has been revamped to provide an actual Explorers of Alpha FAQ. It also includes a section crediting everyone who contributed to the game. NPC changes Croagunk’s Swap Shop - Costs have been increased to 250 (previously 150). - With a password, Croagunk allows access to higher-quality items even if you lack the full requirements. - No items are needed for transactions in God Mode. Chimecho’s Assembly Menu - Menu options have been optimized for faster navigation (credits to an anonymous contributor). Xatu’s Appraisal - Appraisal cost has been reduced to 100 (previously 150). - An "Appraise All" option has been implemented to uncover every box in your inventory at once (credits to an anonymous contributor). Electivire’s Link Shop - Linking costs are increased to 1,000 (previously 500). - Shop options have been reorganized for a more natural flow. Wynaut’s Recycle Shop - Expanded item selection and reorganized menu options for clarity. - Stat-boosting items (Protein, Iron, Calcium, Zinc, and Life Seeds) become available after recycling 50–55 items. - Recycle Shop has even more offers ! New Normal offers: Special offers: Spinda’s Juice Bar - Ginseng can no longer be selected for a drink. - New items (Sweet Heart, Aspear Berry) added for juice recipes. - Juices provide stronger effects (e.g., +4 Max HP instead of +2 for status berries). - Golden Apple juice has a 50% chance of giving a Miracle Drink or Event Drink effect. - Plain Seed juice guarantees a reduction in stats by 1–3 points. Clefairy - She is found outside of Wigglytuff’s Guild and gives rewards based on the number of unique species recruited Wigglytuff - He grants rewards for recruiting legendary Pokémon, They can be claimed after unlocking Marine Resort. Dusclops - Dusclops is unlocked after increasing your money pouch capacity. He lets you store and withdraw stacks of $99,999, allowing more than $100,000 in your bag. Porygon2 (New NPC at Crossroads) - Porygon2 is a very important NPC now found at Crossroads. They offer a bunch of utilities: some are always available like the Password menu, some are based on your rank. Gliscor - Gliscor is found at the Passage of Time after unlocking Destiny Tower. He trades some of the best items in the game for rare resources. System changes Crossroads Adventure Menu has been changed: - After graduating from the guild, a direct access to Luminous Spring is unlocked. - After starting the Shaymin event, a direct access to Shaymin Village is unlocked. - After finishing Special Episode 5 and completing the Darkrai events, a direct access to the Passage of Time is granted. This is the only way to explore Future Dungeons, including Atomic Wastes and Forgotten Inlet in future versions. Some NPCs can only be found in this location. Mission Rankings - Missions now reflect the actual difficulty of the game and rewards have been adjusted to align with these rankings. Sharpedo Bluff - The base warp now provides direct access to Crossroads, with the option to choose Sharpedo Bluff’s outside area. Wonder Mail S - It is automatically unlocked at the start of the game in God Mode. In other modes, it is unlocked after completing Destiny Tower on any difficulty. Gameplay Additions and Changes - A new overworld section has been added between the Stockade and Chasm Cave. This segment includes a unique challenge that impacts gameplay if failed. - The Fairy-type, Fairy Gummi, and Fairy-type relationships have been introduced (credits to an anonymous contributor). Several Pokémon now have the Fairy typing, and Fairy-exclusive items are available. - Following new quests and game events, a bunch of new dungeons have been added and others have been updated: - You can now rematch story bosses in harder fights by using a Dream Catcher in specific places. Dream Catchers can be found at the end of certain dungeons. Rewards include the boss's 3-star exclusive item and a high chance of receiving a Dream Shard. - An Emergency Bag is available through Porygon2 mid-dungeon NPCs in Vanilla and Difficult difficulties. It provides useful supplies to ensure success in story dungeons. In Difficult mode, the bag is available only once per dungeon and requires clearing a dungeon to refresh the option. - Pelipper Island offers additional support for story dungeons before Darkrai events (excluding Hardcore difficulty). Major dungeon changes Revamped Dungeon UI - HP Bar displays the HP ratio instead of just the first 112 HP. Thanks to an anonymous contributor and Frostbyte for implementation support. - New UI indicators show current difficulty, level scaling option, and Pokémon Belly on the main screen. - When pressing L, players can see their Pokémon's raw stats, stat boosts, and whether Inverse Mode is active alongside the move list. Thanks to Nov for key implementation help. Story Dungeon Adjustments All story dungeons now emphasize unique mechanics across all difficulties. Changes include: Beach Cave: Contains general supplies on each floor. Mystifying Forest: Kecleon Shops guarantee Evolution Items every three floors, starting from Floor 1. Oran Forest: Replaced with Nectar Forest, a dungeon for farming Nectars. Aegis Cave: Puzzle mechanics are now less frustrating. A new section has been added, housing Regidrago and Regieleki. Destiny Tower: Adjusted to match the Super Mystery Dungeon (SMD) variant. Mazes: Offer a gradual difficulty curve and opportunities to farm Gummies. Access is limited to once per day before defeating Dialga. Grid Rooms, taken from Gates to Infinity, are special in-dungeon sections featuring puzzles, mini-bosses, or unique encounters with special enemies. Their availability varies based on dungeon difficulty. They are often found in story dungeons. New Gameplay Mechanics Enemy rosters are now more varied. Spawn rates for enemies, traps, and items now scale based on difficulty settings. When a Pokémon’s HP is critically low, a pain portrait is shown (if available), thanks to Chesyon’s patch. The map dynamically updates like in recent Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles, courtesy of Chesyon. Free Camera Mode: A new mode allows players to look around a room using Select and the D-pad: Enemy Inspection: Pressing A on an enemy shows its typing, level, and abilities. Target Display: Holding R and pressing Y when facing a target provides similar details. Team members are teleported to the team leader before purchases to prevent exploitative setups. Enemies can now regenerate HP, preventing exploits that break the game balance. Improved Visual Feedback Enemies in a "pinch" are now marked with an exclamation mark above their heads, signifying abilities like Blaze could be active on it. Level-up summaries are more concise and faster to process. Using the last PP of a move now triggers an animation and notification. Other Adjustments Stat boosts and drops have been overhauled for balance. Offensive stat caps have been lifted. The turn-based speed system has been adjusted for fairness: Pokémon can no longer chain infinite movements after attacking. This change is disabled in Vanilla mode for players seeking a classic experience. A new status condition, Frostbite, behaves as a special burn: It reduces special attack and causes damage over time. The chance of inflicting Frostbite with moves is higher in Hail or Snow. Ice-types are immune to Frostbite. It is cured by walking on lava or being afflicted with burn, poison, or paralysis. Permafrost is introduced as a Frostbite-inflicting move with its own TM. Critical Hits now ignore the attacker’s drops and the defender’s buffs, matching main-series mechanics. Default chance is 1/32. High critical-hit ratio moves have a 1/16 chance to crit. Scope Lens, Super Luck, Sharpshooter, and Patsy Band now double chances. Focus Energy multiplies critical-hit chances by 8 and lasts 15 turns. Type-Advantage Master now grants +50% critical-hit damage on super-effective hits, stacking with Sniper. Complete Team Control (by Cipnit) - Automatic mode only allows you to control the party leader. - Manual mode allows you to control party members individually. Following action order, you decide how to spend each party members turn. They can do anything the leader can do, even opening the Treasure Bag! However, their Belly will deplete during their turn. This mode can be triggered on and off by pressing Start on your Leader's turn. A Manual mode indicator has been added to improve clarity for players. - Belly consumption is applied correctly to all allies, preventing exploits like walking through walls without Belly depletion. Mysteriosity System The Mysteriosity System, inspired by Gates to Infinity, introduces a dynamic layer of unpredictability to dungeon exploration. This feature becomes available after defeating Darkrai and operates daily based on two variables: V-Wave Type The Windmill at Crossroads reveals the V-Wave type for the day. Effects: Pokémon of the V-Wave type (both allies and enemies) deal 50% more damage in dungeons. Level of Weirdness Determined each morning by your partner’s dialogue: - Great day: Level 0 (15% chance) - Bright day: Level 1 (25% chance) - Fantastic day: Level 2 (25% chance) - Amazing day: Level 3 (20% chance) - Fascinating day: Level 4 (10% chance) - Wonderful day: Level 5 (5% chance) - Stressful day: Level 6 (0.025% chance) Effects by Weirdness Level - Level 1 Increased item density (+70%), enemy density (+50%), and trap density (+20%). Sticky items have a 5% chance of appearing. 1-species floors (10% chance, not present at Level 5 or higher). - Level 2 Adds random effects such as Embargo, Heal Block, Gastro Acid, Taunt, or Mist. Monster House spawn rate increases (10% chance). - Level 3 Locked rooms appear, requiring a key to access rare items. Golden Rooms have a 10% chance to appear. - Level 4 Golden Halls have a 1% chance of appearing, transforming entire floors into Golden Rooms with Sitrus Berries, Golden Apples, Joy Seeds, etc... Cursed Halls (4% chance) appear, tripling Belly depletion. - Level 5 Enemies no longer experience damage reduction. Terra Incognita, a mysterious location, becomes accessible (planned for future updates). Managing Mysteriosity - Flygon is a new NPC found in Shaymin Village. He will use a Mystery Part in your bag to manually adjust the Weirdness Level. He also can disable the Mysteriosity System for free if desired. - Mystery Parts are found in dungeons like Mysterious Geoglyph, Fallen Star Remains, Fire Field, and Trackless Forest through wall excavation. Restrictions Mysteriosity is disabled in certain key dungeons, including Future Dungeons, Hidden Land, Temporal Tower, Chaotic Wilds, Spacial Rift, Zero Isles, Destiny Tower, and Special Episodes. Ginseng System The Ginseng mechanics have been completely reworked, adding depth to move upgrades and power scaling. Previously, using a single Ginseng increased a move’s base power by 1. Moves now level up with Ginseng, affecting multiple aspects such as base power, accuracy, and PP: - Levels 1–10: Requires 1 Ginseng per level. - Levels 11–20: Requires 2 Ginsengs per level. - Level 20–Crown: Requires 3 Ginsengs per level. - Level Crown: The maximum upgrade level through regular Ginsengs. Crowned moves gain significant power, accuracy, and PP boosts. - Level Infinity: Achieved with a Ginseng Infinity after reaching Level Crown. Unlocks ultimate evolution, granting even greater stat boosts and PP. Note: PP boosts vary by move type and are capped differently for balance. Pokemon additions Several new forms and species have been added, each with unique portraits, stats, movesets, exclusive items, and sprites: - Unovan Forms: Zoroark-line. - Alolan Forms: Raticate-line, Raichu, Sandslash, Ninetales, Dugtrio, Persian, Muk, Golem, Marowak. - Galarian Forms: Rapidash-line, Cursola-line. - Hisuian Forms: Arcanine-line, Electrode-line, Sneasler-line, Overqwil-line, Zoroark-line. - New Evolutions: Ursaluna, Annihilape, Farigiraf. Exclusive Evolution Methods: - Ursaluna: Evolves from Ursaring using a Coronet Rock and Lunar Ribbon. - Annihilape: Evolves from Primeape with a Broken Bangle and Lunar Ribbon. Gains damage reduction while under the Rage status. - Farigiraf: Evolves from Girafarig when its IQ reaches 950+ and it knows Double Hit. The move Psybeam hits twice instead of once. Legendary Pokémon Additions: - Regidrago and Regieleki: Both have been added with exclusive items: Volt Sash: Protects Regieleki from stat reduction. Drake Sash: Protects Regidrago from stat reduction. - Genesect comes with three exclusive items: G-Pulse: Prevents PP consumption when attacking. G-Drive: Protects Genesect from move-disabling effects. G-Fuel: Absorbs Fire damage and converts it into HP recovery. - Diancie: Comes with the Royal Jewel, which protects her from critical hits. - Marshadow: Comes with the Zenith Torc, granting a chance for invisibility when taking a hit. - Eternatus: Comes with the Nuclear Core, which allows him to ignore Reflect and Light Screen when attacking. Note: Exclusive items for all non-legendary Pokémon are available in Croagunk’s Swap Shop. Pokemon changes Many Pokémon have received updated typings to reflect modern games and provide a different gameplay experience: NOTE: A toggle in the L-menu allows players to disable non-Vanilla typings if desired. The standard for Vanilla typings is Generation 6. - All stages of evolution now benefit from rebalanced and personalized level-up stats, allowing them to remain viable throughout all the game's content. - Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina can hold their respective items (Adamant Crystal, Lustrous Globe, or Griseous Core) to switch between Alternate and Origin forms. Origin forms provide significant boosts to STAB moves and alter stats. - Kyogre and Groudon can undergo Primal Reversion by holding Alpha or Omega Shards. Their primal forms summon super-weather conditions (Harsh Sunlight or Heavy Rain) with enhanced effects. - Rayquaza can Mega Evolve when holding the Delta Shard. It also summons Strong Winds, reducing Flying-type weaknesses. - Diancie Mega Evolves with the Diancite, trading defensive stats for heightened offenses. Shiny system - Strong Foes from RTDX have been added to the game, they are Shiny Pokémon that can now appear in specific dungeons, offering recruitment opportunities for rare species. Shiny Pokémon have enhanced stat curves, sometimes unique ability sets and special IQ groups. Item Changes - Golden Mask: Boosts recruitment rates by 25%. - Miracle Chest and Wonder Chest: Adjusted boosts for balance. Miracle Chest provides 1.5× the previous Wonder Chest boost, while Wonder Chest now provides 1.3× the previous Miracle Chest boost to account for rarity differences. - World Treasures now boost recruitment rates by 30%. The term "World Treasures" has replaced "Seven Treasures" to reflect the expanded pool of treasures and related events. - Amber Tear has been replaced with Holy Lyre, granting a 100% recruitment boost. - Updated exclusive items following Fairy-type implementation: Stern Sash, Afire Collar, Barrier Bow, Friend Torc, and Fairy Bow. - Exclusive effects from Nidoking-line, Dewgong-line, Blissey-line, Pelipper-line, Plusle, Minun, Roserade-line, Wailord-line, and Lunatone who recover their PP upon being damage have a chance reduced from 30% to 10%. - Old Brooch (Aerodactyl) now protects from thrown items. - Life Ring (Mew) extends self-move effects to the entire team. - Silver Veil (Lugia) matches Rainbow Veil, occasionally bouncing status moves back to the attacker. - Ice Sash (Regice) halves damage taken from special moves. - Steel Sash (Registeel) reflects status moves back to the user with a chance. - Revive Robe (Deoxys) now gives a chance to consume no PP when using a move. - New Exclusive Items: Manaphy: Oceanic Globe increases Movement Speed by 1 in Rainy Weather. Shaymin: Gratitude Bouquet extends self-move effects to the entire team. Primal Dialga: Corrupted Shield protects from status problems and boosts Defense/Special Defense. Primal Palkia: Corrupted Blade protects from status problems and boosts Attack/Special Attack. Antagonist Darkrai: Harbinger’s Robe allows attacks to bypass Reflect and Light Screen. Moves Changes General Updates - Move Names have been updated to match the most recent names from the main series. - Certain outdated moves, such as Kinesis, Sharpen, Spider Web, Barrage, and Vacuum-Cut, have been removed. These are replaced with newer-generation moves in learnsets. Balance changes - Moves generally have increased accuracy and PP to match higher spawn rates and enemy difficulty. - Fixed AI behavior for moves that previously acted incorrectly like Ice Shard. Move additions A variety of moves from Gen V onward have been implemented, complete with unique animations and effects: Moves down below have been introduced following Fairy-type implementation: Move reworks - Regular attacks now always hit their target. To balance this, their power is quartered instead of halved. All instances of the Sure-Hit Attacker IQ Skill have been replaced by Cautious Creeper. - Bone Club, Bone Rush, and Bonemerang deal double damage when used by Marowak or Alolan Marowak. When used by Alolan Marowak, these moves become Ghost-type and gain Same Type Attack Bonus. - SmellingSalt, Mega Kick and Mega Punch are now Fighting-type - Dream Eater has been replaced by Soul Eater, a Ghost-type clone of Giga Drain. When used by Drowzee or Hypno, it becomes Psychic-type instead. - Thrash functions as a clone of Outrage or Petal Dance. - Pursuit now deals damage, with power doubled if the target has a status condition. - Avalanche deals direct damage, with power doubled if the target is below 50% HP. - Tail Glow boosts Special Attack by 3 stages. - Growth boosts Attack and Special Attack by 1 stage by default and heals some HP if used under Sunlight. - Moonlight, Synthesis, and Morning Sun heal a percentage of HP based on the weather instead of a fixed amount. - Roost now heals a percentage of Max HP instead of flat 40 HP. - Recoil Moves now deal recoil damage based on the actual damage dealt. Most recoil moves now also pounce the user toward the target, allowing them to hit from a distance. - Memento reduces the target’s Attack and Special Attack by 5 stages, sets the user’s HP to 1 but no longer warps them. It also fails on boss floors. - Charm lowers the target's Attack by 3 stages. - Screech lowers the target's Defense by 3 stages. - Aurora Beam lowers the target's Attack by 2 stages. - Hidden Power now always has a base power of 12. - Crush Grip deals damage while ignoring the target's stat boosts. - Aqua Ring triggers every 2 turns and restores 1/16th of the user’s Max HP. - Magic Coat reflects status moves, even those used at a distance. - Wish affects the entire party and lasts 100–150 turns, but its PP has been heavily reduced. - Stealth Rock deals 1/6th of the target's Max HP to all non-Rock-type Pokémon. - Frustration and Return now scale damage based on IQ, with fixed-damage variants available by holding the corresponding item (available via Kecleon Shops in Zero Isles) - U-Turn, Flip Turn and Volt Switch now swap the user with the Pokémon directly behind, following GtI+ mechanics. - Rage deals damage while maintaining its classic effect like in GtI+ games (credits go to Kuz) - Knock Off deals bonus damage to targets holding items; removes the item if the target survives. (credits to Adex once again) - Hyper Beam/Giga Impact has range extended to 10 tiles and causes wall-breaking explosions. - Nature Power has more diverse effects in dungeons. Skill Adjustments - Lava Evader is replaced with Heat Protector, granting immunity to burns. - Sure-Hit Attacker is Removed and replaced by Cautious Creeper, which prevents waking sleeping enemies when walking past them. - Multitalent now increases max PP by 25% of the base value instead of +5 PP. - Trap Buster no longer destroys Wonder Tiles. - Brick-Tough now increases HP by 1/8 of the Pokémon’s max HP instead of a flat +10 boost. - Intimidator has its proc rate reduced from 32% to 18%; no longer drains PP unless interrupting multi-hit moves. Boss fights Important Notes - In Expert and Hardcore, bosses no longer run out of PP. This change prevents defensive setups from forcing bosses into a self-KO using Struggle. - Field effects are disabled in Vanilla and Difficult. - Boss stats (except HP) scale with difficulty: Vanilla: Approximately 75% of Expert stats/levels. Difficult: Approximately 88% of Expert stats/levels. - In Expert and Hardcore, bosses deal more damage than regular enemies. - Items cannot be stolen or knocked off during boss floors to prevent the loss of critical items. Field effects Boss battles sometimes operate under certain conditions. When the message "A mysterious aura flared to life!" appears at the start of the fight, it means you are under these conditions! Currently, the active field effect is only displayed in the message log, with no direct visual indicator. When the aura strengthens the boss, it may recover from status effects more quickly. Depending on the location, here are the auras that can affect bosses: Sometimes, auras boosts stats: Sometimes, auras summon cataclysms: Some fields only trigger for specific species: Sometimes, auras are detrimental to your party: Miscellanous and various dungeon additions Inventory and Item Changes - On Vanilla difficulty and God Mode, you retain your full inventory even if you lose in a dungeon. - A password system allows you to keep your inventory across other modes as well. - Heavenly Apple replaces Mime Jr. in the Secret Bazaar. It is a dungeon-exclusive item that disappears after you leave the dungeon. - An Escape Orb replaces Shedinja in the Secret Bazaar, as both items served the same function. - Grab Bags from Swalot no longer have a fixed 50% chance to provide an Oran Berry. The available items list has been expanded and normalized across all dungeons. - The game’s mechanic, which replaced duplicated items in Fixed Rooms with Reviver Seeds, has been removed. Weather Adjustments - Rain and Sun effects now increase Water/Fire-type damage and decrease Fire/Water-type damage by 25% (previously 50%). - Cloudy weather no longer reduces Ghost-type move damage. - Foggy weather reduces Flying-type move damage. - Hail now boosts Ice-types' Defense, similar to Sandstorm boosting Rock-types' Special Defense. - Weather damage no longer cut you off from running in a hallway (courtesy of Frostbyte). Likewise, this game behavior has been applied to secondary terrain. Status and Mechanics Adjustments - Burn: Reduces physical damage by 25% and no longer affects special damage. - Attempting to poison a Pokémon already poisoned will trigger Bad Poison, which increases damage over time, capping at 20 HP per tick. - Electric-types are now immune to Paralysis. - Grass-types are immune to Powder and Spore moves. - Ghost-types are immune to Shadow Hold. Dungeon Mechanics Updates - "immune" damage has been nerfed (50% -> 25%), Same Type Attack Bonus has also been nerfed (50% -> 33%) - Spammy messages like “is watching carefully” or “protected by Magic Guard” now appear only in the Message Log to avoid slowing down gameplay. - Trying to leave a floor with a pending mission triggers a warning to prevent accidental progression. - After reviving Luminous Spring, you receive a passive 1.25× EXP boost and gain additional Explorer Points from missions, easing the grind toward higher ranks. - Non legendary room moves have an AI range of 2-tiles away - Camera transition are 3 times faster than in normal game - Allies can now trigger traps on their own - Magnezone and Magnemite clients have fixed stats and movesets (and are also Shiny in dungeon now). This has been done to reflect their importance in the Pokémon world. Gameplay Updates - Sentry Duty has upgraded rewards - Kangaskhan Rocks are replaced by Porygon2 in dungeons. They allow for more options in general to prepare for the upcoming boss fight. - An optional evolution-related event has been added after completing Sky Peak. - You can now feed Manaphy with a Blue Gummi or Wonder Gummi. Feeding it a Wonder Gummi triggers a slightly different cutscene. - An optional boss fight against “Cresselia” has been added in The Nightmare. - Some areas now feature permanent dungeon field effects. - Future Dungeons (Chasm Cave, Dark Hill, and others): Pokémon’s most proficient stats are boosted in higher difficulties. In Difficult, the enemy damage reduction is lifted instead. - Hidden Land Segment: Time Gears provide a 1.1× stat boost (except Accuracy and Evasion) during the first visit in all difficulties except Hardcore. - Spacial Rift and Chaotic Wilds: These dungeons feature permanent Inverse Mode. - Explorer Rank upgrade dungeons are unlocked after recycling 150 times along with Zero Isle Center if you have beaten World Abyss. Updating the game won't unlock the dungeons, they will be unlocked instead from the Crossroads menu - Zero Isle North proposes a new restriction: you're given a survival bag, and your goal is to finish the dungeon with it. At the end of the dungeon, you will keep your inventory. The bag pools are fixed and you have a fixed chance to get any of them: 3 bags are at 30% and focus on one specific type of item management, 2 bags are at 5% and focus on overall survivability... or not. - Zero Isle East is a stat-reset dungeon where all entries stats are recalculated following the main series formula. You cannot gain any Exp and the stats return back to normal when leaving the dungeon. For limitation reasons, your stats other than HP are calculated using half your level. That means a level 86 Pokémon will have its HP at level 86 with 252 EVs while it will have its Attack at level 43 with 252 EVs and a neutral nature. The speed stat is also taken in account for the crit chance, which is calculated like in Gen 1 (barring the glitches) depending on the Base Speed. - Zero Isle South is a level-reset centered around item management and replayability inspired by Etrian Odyssey. Legendaries have a special restriction which drains their belly drastically faster, this is to make up for the higher level 1 stats they have. Also "apparent" forms might not be affected by exclusive item effects - Triggering the anti-steal check or the no-proximity check from Kecleon shops in specific positions might cause a very very long loop of warps - Ultimate Items calculation might work incorrectly. The feature is still experimental, don't forget to post all feedbacks! - Deoxys and Shaymin might be unstable. Report bugs related to them if you find one! - Randomizer and Starter selector don't check for total duo size when validating your party. Don't report bugs related to them as I am currently not in capacity of handling them. Also if you replaced sprites in the game and it crashes, you brought this upon yourself... - MelonDS Mobile is having a lot of issues with the game. The emulator is initially very unstable due to its experimental nature so I'll recommand you change to another emulator if you find bugs on it in order to make sure the bug isn't emulator-tied. Upcoming plans Explorers of Alpha 4.0 aims to include all the mons, moves, abilities from Gen I to Gen IX in Explorers of Sky's setting while retaining Explorers of Sky's mechanics (Exclusive Items, IQ Skills, etc), expanding on field effects and custom mechanics even more.     PKHeX plugin to help making Mirage Island appear in Gen 3. How to use Put the plugin into the plugins folder in your PKHeX directory, then access it from the Tools menu. The seed has to match the last 4 digits of a Pokémons PID to make Mirage Island appear. If a Pokemon was found that makes Mirage Island appear, you can select and right click it to view it.     Introduction Typically dumping savs from bootleg GBA carts will result in a save that won't be usable on emulators nor save editors. That is because the save is typically stored with the ROM data, instead of the designated save location. This program is able to extract and inject saves into bootleg Pokémon GBA ROMs. Usage You can drag and drop the game (.gba/.bin) onto the program, or open it. The save (if available) is then dumped into the same directory as where the game is. You can extract the save for editing, and then choose to inject back the edited save. Technical Explanation This program checks every 0x1000 of the save file, starting from 0xFF8. (if it's a save, the initial 2-words at every 0xFF8 in the save are identical to each other, and the initial 2-words at every 0xFFE in the save are the same, that being blanks) Image example: Tests done.   45. Hello everyone, today I bring you yet another Gen I Mew contribution, this time thanks to Vezokair who was kind enough to share the Mew with all of us. A month ago TotalTS contacted me about this reddit post where Vezokair was asking for help to determine if the Pokémon Red cartridge she just bought contained a legit Mew on it, as there was a distribution in Finland and the OT and TID matched the known data about the distribution. She posted this image, but the mew is not fully stat (EV) trained so DV (or IV) data couldn't be accurately calculated and know if it had the known fixed DVs gen I mews had. I contacted Vezokair and talked about the possibilty of dumping the savegame and preserving the mew, and she was willing to help, so after exposing several backup options she decided to acquire a backup device and a couple days ago I was sent the dumped savefile. She also told me the savefile seems to have been glitched in some way and that there are multiple mews on it, but after analizing the data of the mews and comparing the data with other known legit distributions we have these were my conclusions: - All of the mews present in the savefile are clones of the same mew (only difference is stat experience which is normal if the mew were used after cloning). - The original mew (or all of them) were stored in a generation II game at some point and the held item was removed or used (bitter berry) before cloning and transfering to this cartridge. - All the data in the mew(s) indicate it is a legitimate mew. My hypothesis: original owner traded the mew to gen 2 for pokedex completion and gameplay use. At some point the mew got confused and used the bitter berry it got when traded to gen 2. Later that mew was cloned multiple times (since box cloning in gen 2 games was a really easy method) and then they were trasnfered to the pokémon Red cartridge Vezokair bought. This is the third european Mew were are able to collect, the fourth if we count the spanish mew (it has a bogus story and different DVs, you can read the story in it's own thread). Due to fixed DVs it is not interesting gameplay wise, but as preservation is concerned and the batteries being almost dry every single event pokémon we can get is gold. Best regards FINLAND MEW.zip

  46. Hello to all fellow Pokémon fans and trainers! As I had found my Pokémon Yellow save file to be still alive and containing probably the rarest still-living distribution Mew (or at least one of the rarest), I decided to share with everybody. But first, let me tell you a short story here. When I was about 10 years old, my parents took me with them to receive Mew on my GB cartridges, and I was excited like never before! Of course, I did know nothing about the glitch back then, so this felt even more special to me. The event, as I remember, took place on 2 days (friday and saturday) only, and from talking to all of my friends, it seems that event was only held in Vienna, Austria, and only in one small shop called "Jipitoy" in the shopping mall "Gerngross". Even without knowing all this, it is the most cherished memory since. I am so thankful that my parents made it possible to receive this Mew on both, red and yellow version. I want to share my happiness and joy with all of you, so you can experience it too. The game saves I extracted with a GB01 cart reader from submodule.co, which I paid about 64€ for (incl. shipping). On my journey to restore and backup saves, I lost the game save of red (through a different device, called Mega Memory Card, which also was about 60€ ... pathetic device ...) but was able to distribute the yellow one to other cartridges too. I even bought a blue cartridge, so I can provide you all three versions of the Gen-1 games with that Mew. It was very hard to remember all the details about the distribution event, I found out that the original shop was shut down many years ago, but with a little support from the new shop there I was able to get the shop's name at least. Not even Nintendo of Austria was able to find any further details, as I requested them to share with me. Back then, not only were these events rare in Europe but also not recorded online, or poorly. DrLava and SnorlaxMonster from Twitter / Bulbapedia helped me a lot with this project full of passion. EDIT June 1st / 2024: I uploaded .sav files which contain both, the leveled up and original Mew (Level 40 and Level 5). Keep in mind, when using an emulator or flash cart, both files (ROM, sav) need to share the same name and be located in the same folder (e.g. "PKMNsample.gb" & "PKMNsample.sav") in order to be recognised as being related to each other. I just named the sav files in a fashion to be easier to identify, you can rename them for yourself (personal non-commercial use only), of course. As far as I was able to get info on that online, you should be able to trade this german language Mew to any non-japanese version of the games (should not cause issues as the letters and therefor save structures are the same across all non-japanese Pokemon games in the old generations). Also I want to share, that my father (unexpectedly) died a few months after I uploaded Mew to this page. Sadly and unfortunately I was not able to prolong his life beyond 6 weeks - as a young Medical Doctor who chose that path to save all the beloved ones (and other humans, of course), my humanly limits were very difficult to accept at that point but now I am doing well, do not worry about me, I have learned a lot from my father (who also was a Medical Doctor and a man with a benevolent spirit as well). Nonetheless I am very happy and proud that Mew was saved, and ultimately will live on forever. It hopefully will bring people the same joy it caused when I received it from my lovely parents in summer 2000.   47. FYI, The 1st NDS Japan Pokemon Distribution Cartridge has been preserved for all! Japan distribution cartridges are extremely rare. Indeed, this is the first Japan NDS cartridge that has been preserved. I had not even seen a picture of a Japan NDS distribution cartridge in the wild, until I made this purchase! Boy oh boy was this cartridge not cheap to obtain! I have seen pictures of GBA Japan distribution cartridges, but this remains the only Japanese one that we have seen pictures of for NDS. This cartridge is extremely rare. According to a Nintendo website archive, this event was distributed at under 1000 different locations in Japan. This cartridge is a true one of a kind cartridge, another one is not known to exist in private hands! My hopes is that preservation of this cartridge, will be seen by others who have distribution cartridges that have not yet been preserved. My hopes is that that they will be encouraged to forever preserve there distribution cartridges publicly for future generations to use. If anyone knows of others having this cartridge, please let me know. Or if others has pictures of Japan NDS cartridges, let me know.
