DM ME TO ASK QUESTIONS (this post has annoyingly been archived). NOTE: THIS IS NOT ILLEGAL OR PIRACY. It is a savefile I created myself, NOT A ROM. It's just to help people who want to play the game they LEGALLY bought without having to grind for everything before being able to battle. I want to share it with people, so they can use it personally (without having to go through what I have building all these Pokemon) or for online play! Google Drive link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LZSiWSv5GjM9C3trYULSLyTxyzVk6Hs0?usp=sharing It comes with: all Fully Evolved (and many Little Cup) Pokemon with competitive builds; all battle passes and fashion items unlocked; as well as 20 teams I have made of characters from across the series, such as Red, Cynthia, Jasmine, May, Giovanni, Paul and more! Have a peek: https://imgur.com/a/4VgGYbS Small note: I chose not to give any Pokemon Choice items (except ones using Trick) and was sparing with Life Orbs, so that when playing with friends, sets aren't too complicated, and speed tiers are more predictable. Plus they kind of ruin the balance of the game. But if you're really into competitive, build your own sets! I also did not give Little Cup Pokémon items as this completely changes how LC flows (except Clamperl has DeepSeaTooth, so it can be used in non LC teams too). NOTE 2: because I am an idiot, sadly the main savefile PKTOPIA will NOT WORK ONLINE. You can use the other savefiles online though with WiiMMFi. NOTE 3: importing the save REQUIRES Homebrew because PBR is locked to not allowing a save to be imported; using Homebrew with SaveGameManagerGX bypasses this. NOTE 4: this is a USA game save file, therefore will NOT WORK on any other region of game. Simply download the USA version of PBR from online to use the save file on any region of Wii. To rectify this, I also added the Binary file in the "Copypaste All Pokemon" folder. If you open your own savefile in PKHex and drag-and-drop this file into the PKHex window, it will replace all the Pokemon with my Pokemon. This will bypass the region lock but will NOT import complete savefile, custom battlepasses, etc., and you will retain your savefile, just with all my Pokemon. Update (13/01/2024): I have now also added additional Pokemon for Gen4 OU singles battles! Four teams have been created but you can mix and match the Pokemon at will. These Pokemon are in Box 4. I also fixed the few Pokemon with accidental incorrect moves/abilities, such as Venomoth not having Tinted Lens. So if you have the old file, try this new one! Update (03/03/2024): I went through and corrected ALL mistaken abilities, and re-balanced lots of EVs and movesets. I have now balanced the Legendary Pokemon so they have weaker moves, meaning they can be used in battles along with other Pokemon and not feel unfair. I also went through the list of 500 moves and tried to add as many missing moves as I could to Pokemon, so that most of the moves are usable. I left out the tragically weak moves like Psywave, but found use for moves such as DragonBreath and Bite on Legendary Pokemon to make them balanced, and also added fun obscure moves like Punishment, Imprison, RazorWind, RollingKick and MeFirst! Finally I removed Explosion from almost every Pokemon, and on the few I left it on I replaced it with the weaker SelfDestruct. The prevalence of Explosion in Gen4 Doubles meta is kind of boring. And this savefile is made for fun battles with friends! The game has 4 Savefiles: PKTOPIA, Red, Blue, Green. You can rename these (see: Editing Savefile). PKTOPIA is a complete file with all colosseums unlocked. Red and Blue have all the Pokemon, but have not been played. Green has no Pokemon, so you can connect a DS easily, or play only with Battle Passes if you find that fun. ▸ How to install the save file: First, unzip and put the PBR SAVEFILE COMPLETE folder anywhere on your SD card, the Root is the simplest place. You CAN NOT just place the game save on its own, you must put the ENTIRE FOLDER in. Then, insert SD card to Wii. Then; Using SaveGameManagerGX on Homebrew, on the top menu, navigate to the SD card. Find the icon for PBR where you put it. Click the PBR icon and click install. This will overwrite any data you have on PBR so make sure you back it up first. To extract the save file for editing, like say you play for 20 hours but now want to edit a Pokémon without losing your progress, go to SaveGameManagerGX, on the top menu navigate to the Wii icon, click PBR’s icon and click Extract to Custom and navigate to your SD card. Once editing is complete re-inject the save file. ▸ INSTALL ON DOLPHIN: Just create a new save game on PBR. Then close the game. In the game select menu of Dolphin, right click PBR and “go to save location” Replace the "PbrSaveData" file with mine. Done! ▸ How to edit the Pokemon/ Savefile/ create a custom team: Use PKHex. It's pretty self-explanatory how to edit Pokemon. One tip I have is, Pokemon will sometimes not work correctly if they have no Met Location/ OT info. You can take any existing Pokemon, copy it to a few slots, and now these slots will have that data, now you can edit that Pokemon into whatever you want, or import a Pokemon from Showdown on top of it by using Ctrl+T when the text from Showdown is copied to clipboard and then Shift-Click to replace the old Pokemon with the new one. You can edit your savefile name in PKHex by going to SAV --> Save Slot: (select the file you want to edit) --> Block Data, and simply edit the value of Current OT. This will be your online display name if you choose to do online play. And as a bonus for all the Battle Revolution Maniacs, here is my custom USBLoaderGX Pokemon Battle Revoluton homescreen theme: https://drive.google.com/file/d/168KV4QlGfh-T1Jit9aCuZAymLbuKA-8H/view?usp=sharing You can go to the theme settings in Homebrew on the Wii to select the music track that is there to play on the Wii menu! TROUBLESHOOTING Ensure you install the entire "0001000052504245" folder to your Wii INCLUDING the "0001000052504245" folder, and do not rename it as this is the game code for PBR. Do not rename ANY FILES or edit the filestructure or it may not work. Make sure you're using a USA PBR game. If the error message "unable to copy datas" still occurs, try the following: Ensure my "0001000052504245" folder is NOT on your SD card. Move it to anywhere else on your PC for now. Go into the basic Wii home menu, settings, and go to your game save data. Delete PBR. (Backup your current save with SGMGX if you don't want to lose it). Open PBR, this will create a fresh save file. Now close out of PBR. In SaveGameManagerGX, download this new savefile from the Wii to your SD card. This will now create the exact folder structure you need on your SD card. Go to your PC and on the SD, replace MY "PbrSaveData" file with the one you just installed from your Wii in the exact same location. Install using SGMGX and play! Enjoy, and let me know how it goes or if there are any errors/ you need help!

  15. Hi, all I'm new to this forum so apologies if this is the wrong place to ask. I've seen people using cfw switches and Tera Raid Finder with RaidCalc to get seeds for shiny raid dens, high Herba drop dens, etc in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. They then host these raids online so that anyone with the Link Code can join them. I'm wondering how safe that is or if it could lead to a ban? I've been debating modding my own unpatched switch to do this. But I don't know if I'd get banned. The people who do it that I've talked to just cfw the sysnand and don't bother with emunand. They say because they own legit copies of the game that they aren't doing anything that could get them banned. But to me injecting a seed sounds like it would be like save editing. and from my understanding save editing can get you banned? Just looking to gain a better understanding before I go ahead and mod my switch.

  18. Hi team, So recently we have had an outbreak of people hosting loads of new legendary dens online. I personally caught a Verizion and Mewtwo an hour ago. I was wondering... Can someone provide me a step by step process on how to edit the pokemon inside the den to the illegal ones? I use PKHEX and create all the dens I want at the moment, but how to turn one into a Mewtwo? Or a Squirtle?
  19. Hey guys, I don't know if anyone can help me here, but I have the following problem: I have a Switch, but it does NOT have Homebrew and I want to keep it that way. However, I would like to use Randomizer for the Pokemon games. But now the following problem: All tutorials on Randomizer require a Switch with Homebrew to get to the romfs and exefs folders. Can I somehow get to these folders without a Switch with Homebrew?

  21. Pokémon Structure in RAM Due to a lack of documentation regarding how Pokémon are stored in RAM during battle of the generation 4 games I have taken it upon myself to document how they are structured and how to extract them. I've found that the Pokémon data is stored around the addresses 002C0BC2 to 002D5780 when a RAM dump is viewed in a hex editor. The length of the data is of 128 bytes (decimal value) or 80 bytes (hexadecimal value) per Pokémon. With that the following is the structure of Pokémon data in the RAM of generation 4 main line games if the relevant 128 bytes were extracted from the RAM; therefore, I'll be starting at address 0x00. Please note that for all values that use 2 or more bytes the values are stored in little-endian format. Offset Content 0x00-0x01 National Pokédex identification number. 0x02-0x0B 0x02-0x03 = Attack stat 0x04-0x05 = Defense stat 0x06-0x07 = Speed stat 0x08-0x09 = Special attack stat 0x0A-0x0B = Special defense stat 0x0C-0x13 The moves known by the Pokémon with every two bytes corresponding to the move index. 0x0C-0x0D = Move 1 0x0E-0x0F = Move 2 0x10-0x11 = Move 3 0x12-0x13 = Move 4 0x14-0x17 IVs, IsEgg Flag, IsNicknamed Flag. Same as in Block B of PKM Structure for Gen 4 found in the tech documents. 0x18-0x1F This set of bytes start at 06 and keeps track of the how the stats of the Pokémon have increased or decreased during the battle. Example 00 = a decrease in a stat by -6 stages and 0C = an increase in a stat by +6 stages. 0x20-0x21 These bytes are linked to the species of the Pokémon in some way. As such a byte combination of 70 0B will be set there if the opposing Pokémon is a Lugia. 0x22-0x23 Unused, in all tests. All bytes have been 00 and after many tests these bytes did not change. 0x24-0x25 These bytes are linked to the species of the Pokémon in some way. As such a byte combination of 0E 02 will be set there if the opposing Pokémon is a Lugia. 0x26 Pokémon form index. If the Pokémon does not have more than one form or the Pokémon is in its base form this value will be 00. Note form and evolution stage are different concepts. 0x27 Ability index 0x28 Unused, in all tests. All bytes have been 00 and after many tests these bytes did not change. 0x29 Appears to change if the Pokémon has a blanket ability activated. 00 = no blanket ability and 04 = the Pressure ability. It is unclear if this byte can have a value other than 00 or 04 depending on the ability. 0x2A-0x2B Unused, in all tests. All bytes have been 00 and after many tests these bytes did not change. 0x2C-0x2F Current Power Points of moves. 0x2C = Power Points Remaining for move 1 0x2D = Power Points Remaining for move 2 0x2E = Power Points Remaining for move 3 0x2F = Power Points Remaining for move 4 0x30-0x33 Number of PP UPs used for each move. 0x30 = Number of PP Ups used on move 1 0x31 = Number of PP Ups used on move 2 0x32 = Number of PP Ups used on move 3 0x33 = Number of PP Ups used on move 4 Values cannot exceed hexadecimal value 03. 0x34 Current level of Pokémon. Value cannot exceed hexadecimal value 64. 0x35 Happiness of Pokémon. 0x36-0x4B Pokémon nickname. If no nickname is set the Pokémon species name will be stored here with a terminating FF value. Note this is a character array; therefore, little-endian formatting does not apply here. 0x4C-0x4D The current Hit Point value of the Pokémon. 0x4E-0x4F Unused, in all tests. All bytes have been 00 and after many tests these bytes did not change. 0x50 The max Hit Point value of the Pokémon. 0x51-0x53 Unused, in all tests. All bytes have been 00 and after many tests these bytes did not change. 0x54-0x63 Original trainer (OT) name. If the Pokémon belongs to a non-playable character (NPC) all bytes will be 00 with a terminating FF. Note this is a character array; therefore, little-endian formatting does not apply here. 0x64-0x67 Current EXP. If the Pokémon belongs to a NPC all bytes will be 00. 0x68-0x6B Pokémon personality identification number (PID). 0x6C This byte gets set if the Pokémon is affected with a status condition that is not temporary such as burn or poison. 0x6D-0x73 Each byte correlates with a temporary status condition. For example the byte set for confusion is the counter for how many turns is remaining before the confusion status effect wears off. 0x74-0x75 Trainer identification number (ID). 0x76-0x77 Trainer secret identification number (SID). 0x78-0x79 The index of the item that the Pokémon is holding. 0x7A-0x7D Each byte correlates with a status condition that is not temporary. The byte set for sleep is the counter for how many turns is remaining before the wakes up. 0x7E This byte is the gender of the Pokémon. 00 = male, 01 = female, 02 = genderless. 0x7F This byte is the type of Poke Ball that the Pokémon is in. If it is in a special ball from Pokémon Heart Gold or Pokémon Soul Silver this byte will be 04 which is the same as the Poke Ball. --footer-- Pokémon Extraction In order to easily extract a Pokémon from RAM I recommend dumping the RAM as soon as the Pokémon that you want to extract is sent into battle. This is done so when viewing the RAM in a hex editor you can find a string of bytes that is both unique enough that it will not appear multiple times in the RAM and consistent with any Pokémon currently in the RAM. With that said the string of bytes that meets both of these conditions in most cases is the stat increase/decrease values with would be 06 06 06 06 06 06 06 06. Please note if an ability such as Intimidate or Download actives before dumping the RAM you will have to adjust the string of bytes accordingly. In a standard 1 vs 1 battle the first Pokémon that will appear in the RAM will be yours and the second one will be your opponents. From there follow how a Pokémon is stored in the save file in order to rearrange the data to create a valid PK4 file. Update: I have developed an application that can find and extract Pokémon from a generation 4 RAM dump file. Application can be downloaded from here Additional Reading

  24. Hi. New to this forum but I made an account specifically looking for help on this. I'm looking for some insight and help restoring a good Pokemon Crystal save to my cartridge from VC. I recently received this Flash Boy Cyclone as I wanted to take my VC saves and put them back on a cartridge to use in Pokemon Stadium. It worked fine with Pokemon Blue (not pictured) and Yellow as you can tell in the attached video. But it is telling me "save file not found" even though I did the exact steps I did for Blue and Yellow. I have a hunch it's got something to do with the VC not being the exact same as the others due to the added in game Celebi event that wasn't present on the original cartridge. I attempted to do an "Import Battery" in the VBA Emulator to see if that would work but to no avail either. So how do I fix this? I've attached the SAV file as well. Thanks!
