  1. I honestly think that most people who wanted to cheat have went out and bought an Action Replay and/or flashcard already. It's a moot point really.
  2. Actually there's drivers for Vista too. As you can see by my last post (scroll up) I was able to get this whole thing working with my Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector.
  3. Does that help at all? It's possible that they don't offer 64bit drivers, in which case you're really out of luck.
  4. I was wondering why I found 6 encrypted wondercards instead of 3. Thanks for clearing that up.
  5. Hate to say it but manaphy doesn't help us. It doesn't have a wondercard like the rest.
  6. The Ranger series (and all other spinoffs) are not developed by GAMEFREAK, so it's not all that surprising that the files they use are different. You can read about unpacking ACFs here. Have fun, but if I were you I wouldn't waste my time on a game that will be released in the US soon enough anyway.
  7. You wouldn't. As Guested said, it's only showing you very limited pieces of information (which makes it all the more likely that it's only sending those bits and pieces and not the whole PKM). I'm not sure what good having the whole PKM on the walker would do for anyone hacking-wise anyway...
  8. Thanks for the pointer; it worked great. Maybe you could incorporate something into your script that will change the DNS settings on the computer and change them back after the transfer is done.
  9. You might want to add that it's Python 2.6; I had 3.1 installed previously and it took me a while to figure out what was up. I was gonna try this but sadly Nintendo's WiFi USB Connector doesn't allow one to tweak DNS settings and stuff. Oh well I have a flashcard. =)
  10. PKM is not exclusive to the fourth gen. There are at least two tools capable of making 3rd gen PKMs.
  11. Why not just get the pkm from somebody and put it into the save yourself?
  12. Alpha's working on a program to make maps from information in the ROM. AFAIK Bulbapedia gets what good ones they have through painstaking stitching together and editing of screenshots from an emulator.
  13. Any one of several unique identifiers. There's IP address, MAC address, "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection ID"... It's kind of a moot point though, I've never heard of anyone getting banned on a DS game.
  14. Certainly more memorable than most pokemon characters. And I also loved that music. Had to go out and find it on youtube after I saw this thread.
  15. They can. Doubt they ever have.
  16. I don't think you would; however that has been done already. At one point about a year ago I was helping Jason (he hung out on IRC back then, don't think he's ever joined the forums) by doing some searches with an edited ROM that he had pointed to his own server. He had a PHP script to capture and redirect traffic but nothing was ever really accomplished with the capture information. I'm no expert but I'm wondering if it's really even possible/feasible to code your own server from just watching what the transactions with the real server look like...
  17. Because the sprite is just beta material that got removed, it's not tied to any PID values. There's no way to get it.
  18. It's because the colors on the scan were off. That tends to happen
  19. It's screen space, but being human we can really only focus on one of those screens at once, which makes the second screen only marginally useful.
  20. The fact that they (Genius Sonority) encrypt save data in the NAND makes it quite likely they also do on the wiimote. Normal saves are not encrypted until they are transferred off the Wii (which can be circumvented easily enough, as I've already mentioned). I wouldn't know where to start making codes either, so you're pretty much out of luck for now.
  21. As far as I know the only translated copy is far outdated. Use Julian's program, it's mostly translated and far better than this anyway.
