  1. Search before posting + already answered.
  2. What do you mean events? Like tournaments? We occaisonally host some on our server on Shoddy. Sometimes other people use our server for their tournaments, like PurpleSurge.
  3. Please take any and all AR discussion to the appropriate forum (RAM Editing), where you might actually be able to get help.
  4. Unless you have an unlimited amount of money, yes, it does matter. I hate to burst your bubble, but there are thousands of Pokemon fan sites and fan communities out there. Only a few dozen or so are worth visiting, if even that many. They mainly earn this because they've been around for a long time (Bulbagarden, Serebii), or focus on specific segments of the franchise (Smogon with competitive battling, PP with game research, Pokebeach with TCG). Now, sites that get a lot of visits and host a lot of material, like Serebii or Smogon, are going to pay more for hosting, and moreso if they have an active forum. But new websites don't need to spend the same amount of money as established sites do, simply because they aren't getting as many hits. Good web hosting varies on what you're going to be using it for. I think you need to specify your plans for the website, your capabilities of designing one, and so on, and maybe talk with an IT person locally to see where to go next.
  5. We closed the Wi-Fi trading forum (and the Wi-Fi Battle forum) because this forum just doesn't have that big of a Wi-Fi community at this point. There are stickied threads for each in D/P/Plat discussion forums. You can also make Pokesav Pokemon requests in Pokemon Requests and request that they be traded to you via Wi-Fi.
  6. Nope. Gamefreak didn't start programming triggered events in until Platinum.
  7. Isn't this self-explanatory? The admins in charge of the forum/sites decide who gets those. Ways to do that is follow the rules and contribute threads that generate good discussion in the forums. Site Contributors might write news articles or detailed game mechanic articles for the main site. And so on.
  8. Use the Questions thread
  9. There used to be an announcement but I guess it expired. It's because a lot fo people post a lot of crap threads. There are several mega threads where 90% of the topics submitted should go. If your thread doesn't appear in a day or two, check in the appropriate thread. It might've been merged. Rest assured though you should NOT submit it again if it got rejected. PM me or Guested if you have further questions.
  10. You could read your ARDS manual and/or search. Windows 7 isn't compatible with the ARDS or ARDSi.
  11. Any event distributed Arceus. Movie 12 in Japan. TRU in US and there's also a current (or very recent past) distribution in Europe going on right now.
  12. It has to have the Pokemon Event flag checked. AR codes can be found in the RAM Editing forum.
  13. A magnet? While computers aren't supposed to have magnets near them, it'll have to be a big one to screw it up. Read the manual that came with the Pokewalker. It'll tell you if there could be any damage done to it.
  14. Skullraken the Cyndaquil Tauros sux the Turtwig Mukuhawk the Starly And yes, the first letter is capitalized and the rest are lower case, because that's how I roll. Tauros sux was bred in Plat so he has Swords Dance, Crunch, Seed Bomb, and Iron Tail right away. Mukuhawk has Aerial Ace, Return (which just DESTROYS EVERYTHING), Brave Bird, and Toxic (which helps in capturing stuff). Wooper is being my flash/Rock Smash slave. I heard a lot of bad things about Falkner's Pidgeotto using Roost. But fortunately, I got a BURN on it from Ember. Hells yeah. I then went on to do the Arceus event and OH WOW HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AWESOME AND SO MY MIND IS BLOWN. And I choose Giratina, because yknow, Origin form. I'm slowly making my way through to the second town or whatever. I'm just taking my time.
  15. That was so useful in D/P/Plat. But I'm fairly certain it's been dropped in HG/SS. Totally worth it though. They really utilized the touch screen, and I love it. Every single legendary Pokemon is available within Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver. Some may require an in-game event to be triggered, or download an event via mystery gift. I'll outline these below (note when I say Movie Event, I'm also referring to subsequent events that were held in the US, Australia, and Europe as well as the actual movie event in Japan): Golem Trio: In Platinum triggered by the Movie/TRU event Regigias. Darkrai: Movie event, key item was distributed. also had an event in the second Ranger game. Shaymin: Same as above except no Ranger game event. Arceus: Movie event. Jirachi: Recent event distributed. Celebi: Will likely be the upcoming movie event. Phione: Breed Manaphy or Phione with Ditto. Manaphy: Movie event, any Ranger game. Deoxys: Movie event, also will be able to be transferred in Ranger 3. Rayquaza: Have both HG/SS Kyogre and HG/SS Groudon to capture him in Johto. Mew: From Ranch and periodic events. Everything else is in the 4th gen games. Everything besides Sinnoh starters are available in HG/SS. As for non-legendary Pokemon, I have HEARD that between Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver, all Pokemon can be captured. Of course, you might not need all of them if you have some of the 3rd gen games to activate Pokemon found via the Dongle method Also, be cautious about buying used 3rd gen games. there are a lot of bootlegs out there, and online sellers on Ebay/Amazon are not obligated to accept returns or give you a refund. If you do buy online, buy from a store that also has actual retail outlets so you can get there and at least return it for store credit.
  16. No news at all. The game was completely torn apart after the Japanese release. I highly doubt there's anything major (in the way of in-game events) hiding in the coding. The Celebi event is already discovered, and we all knew about the various Platinum events before they were announced too.
  17. Exp. share is given by Mr. Pokemon when you give him a Red Scale. Get a Red Scale by matching three #s at the Goldenrod lottery. Blackthorn city. He's in the same house as a move tutor and a move deleter. The move re-learner accepts Heart Scales.
  18. If you don't think you'll ever utilize them, such as in the Battle Frontier or in Wi-Fi play or official tournaments, then you don't have to. But they've always been in the games. Same 1/8000 chance. However, a Pokemon from your game + a Pokemon from a different country's game obtained via a trade will reduce the chance of the egg being shiny from 1/8000 to about 1/2000. This is known as the Masuda method, named after the programmer who revealed it. You can read more about it here. It's not just a level 100 Pokemon. It's any Pokemon. The EVs will be recalculated into the visible stats every time you put it into the PC.
  19. All Project Pokemon rules apply. This is for (game) help and small questions. If you discuss a subject for more than a few posts, consider starting a thread. Please be specific as possible and search Google and the forums/site before posting a question. Also, useful pictures: And finally, a super useful picture: To post about stuff you're doing in the game right this moment, go to the Current Happenings thread.
  20. It's out, so let's close this.
  21. There is no e-mail and probably never will be. You can always subscribe to the RSS or follow PP's Twitter account.
  22. It doesn't work with Windows 7 and there are no plans yet to release an upgrade for Windows 7 compatibility.
  23. Help mods out by clicking the report button so we know about these posts in the future. Thanks!
