  1. Whether from SKY3DS, eshop installed game, or from the real cart, CFW is required to decrypt the save to be usable with PKHeX, and CFW is required to decrypt and restore the save into the above mentioned. While Gateway3DS is another flashcart, it effectively installs a form of CFW onto your 3DS, which at that point you might as well go for the free and user friendly CFW. You say that you want to "figure out how to work with the save file", but I'm telling you now if you stay on OFW, that is unlikely. While there was a method to decrypt XY/ORAS (no SM/USUM) saves from a powersaves dump, there was no way to modify that save and inject it into the games, cause Datel/Powersaves don't allow custom edits. One real alternative would be to use the hardware that enables editing and restoring (I forgot the name of it), but it only works for Japan 3DS retail carts, no exceptions. Since you have SKY3DS (and I imagine not a Japan 3DS nor cart), that wouldn't help you one bit. So in other words, you have no real (known) alternative but to install CFW ><
  2. Install CFW on your 3DS.
  3. Species. Moves. Items. Locations. Seriously it is probably on bulbapedia..
  4. The utility doesn't exist in Gen 7. No reason for HOME to account for it. I'm assuming it doesn't exist. Stop asking for it anywhere, any chance you get.
  5. Don't. Your Keldeo origin is Sword. That's nonsense. Keldeo can't be obtained in Sword. Use the files from this page, and modify as you please (as long within legal means)
  6. Mystery Egg? For gen 8? Don't understand what you meant. Weren't Mystery Eggs a Gen 2 - 4 thing?
  7. not true. I was on my CFW unit online. Don't have emuMMC, and I only boot into my CFW. I just use any homebrews purely in flight mode w/o wifi.
  8. dear @Darkcaliber, Review ≠ comments. Review isn't the place to ask for help. And no, the issue isn't the extra mons from Ultra Moon. The Ultra Moon save is almost totally incompatible to Moon. Don't try to use an Ultra save on a non-Ultra game.
  9. Sorry, yeah some thing wiht checkpoint folder, but for both versions you need to have already dumped a save, then just replace that save. (make sure you keep the dumped save safe on your computer, in case you need to revert or the import is corrupted)
  10. rename it into main, place it into a JKSM folder with main (keep a safe copy on your PC, then overwrite the one on your SD card).
  11. don't think it was necessary. I got mine with the old event one in living dex, that I shifted.
  12. If you catch another player's mon, nope. that's why RAM dumps is preferred.
  13. Even a hacked Switch presently cannot delete bad egg, because HOME is server side. The save isn't saved on the Switch. edit: Also realized the previous post wasn't phrased up. Changed the one line.
  14. Then I'm just gonna assume it's impossible and move on. Try to get what you want via GTS. Maybe trade away a shiny or something. The detection/check for Gmaxs on PKHeX probably only works on gen 8 games. Just like how the star/square shiny split isn't detected on previous games. If you don't mind risking it turning into a bad egg on HOME and taking up that slot forever, then send it. Gonna test it if you wanna find out.
  15. you could just edit the same addresses and send through HOME to see how it goes.
  16. right click on the file, select Properties, then scroll down and unblock.
  17. Well you could always port over one that was from a den, then give it Dynamax Candies afterwards. As for Gigantamax Charizard, I suspect that that you'll have the same issues as well, and even worse, no items can make a mon giganta-capable. I'm saying it is unlikely. If you know which byte (on the hex file) is for gigantamaxing and dynamax level, you could try editing the same address on a gen 7 hex file, then import that.
  18. Zamazenta can't have dynamax levels anyway. Also, instead of editing, why not just use Dynamax Candies in Gen 8? I'm not sure if Gen 7 -> Gen 8 conversion by HOME includes unused bytes to Dynamax level conversion. (I mean, everything else as mentioned already has utility in Gen 7, hence why HOME imports them as you intended. Dynamax level is not one of those things..)
  19. read what I said in the thread previously.
  20. Did you update leanny plugin? Did you unblock leanny plugin?
  21. it already is. edit: has there been any event raid that does not have HA?
  22. load the save into PKHeX, then drag your mons onto your desktop.
  23. then there's an issue with the mon.
