    edit: Let's say the above Palpitoad (let's call it A) has an empty move slot, and proceeds to breed with a Palpitoad (call it B), and B has the egg Move Toxic. A will get the move from B, even if it doesn't go into A's relearn moves. (It's the egg move transfer mechanic introduced in SWSH) PKHeX working as intended.

    e-shop downloads will still be possible, as long as you stay safe and don't install any pirated insanity and get caught. My 3DS is hacked and to this day I can still use the e-shop. (Mostly Pokémon Bank or Transporter, since I always uninstall them by accident. But yeah, still able to to install games or reinstall paid games etc). So all at your own risk, of course. [For the record, banned 3DS can't use the e-shop or online play. While there is a workaround to make it have be able to participate in online play, it gets locked out from e-shop]

    Okay, let's clear it up. 1. The NDS flash cart, which allows you to play backed up NDS games (not 3DS), would be used to install CFW on your 3DS. 2. Once your 3DS has been hacked (installed CFW), you can also play backed up 3DS games on it (installing various .CIA files. CIA files are basically kinda like the eshop downloads you could have done). Please note that piracy and roms isn't allowed on our site, so mind what you say. Presently, I'm only concerned with helping you hack your 3DS to extract the save, as per your original post, so don't get side-tracked. No CFW = No save extraction, keep that in mind.

    I would not recommend creating Melmetal on the 3DS, since Melmetal is a Switch-only mon. I mean you could hack it in, but I also won't recommend it. In any case, it's something you could do yourself. Don't see why you started a post asking for this. (saves with Melmetal on Gen 7 exist, even tho I really really won't recommend using it) If you're requesting for a trade, it probably isn't tradable on the 3DS, and this is the wrong place for it. I'm locking this thread.

    The save on your SD card is encrypted. the only way is to install CFW on the 3DS itself, then use a homebrew app to decrypt and dump the save on the SD card. Only then, can you shift it to your PC and get it onto PKHeX. No clue. Just use the "ntrboot" method. It's a hardware vulnerability that should work on all versions. (It does thus far). If you're looking at seedminer, not sure if it got patched out with the various 11.13.0 revisions.

    It appears GF isn't operating the servers, thus they aren't in-charge of any direct actions. Tho, I would imagine some directive should have been in place to ban obvious hacks, but then again they don’t operate the servers, and I imagine such code checking per player is added server cost. I mean, even if they are not in direct charge of the server, they could lay down a directive that flows down to the out-sourced server. But then again, they need to measure the cost of such a directive vs the benefit. Plus GF is is just a game making company. For all we know, the server management is out sourced-by Nintendo, not GF. Thus that makes Nintendo sit atop the chain of command, not GF. Anyhow: Since this thread isn’t discussion regarding creating something, I'm locking this.

    Do you happen to have a 3DS around? if it has CFW, it can dump any Gen 4 or 5 games, even those with Infrared as part of the cartridge. (some dumpers can't handle those games) Hmm, maybe your USB driver is outdated (or conversely too updated)? Or maybe it's the driver for the dongle itself? Given it's an old piece of tech, not entirely sure if anyone is still around with knowledge about it. I used the R4i dongle myself to dump saves previously, but at some point I switched over to my 3DS, since it's always with me. Haven't used the dongle in a while..

    As far as I know, what you want probably can only be done by the batch editor, and I don't see it there.

    don't create multiple posts asking for the same thing. Just wait patiently for a response. Why not use the save with PKHeX? Or is there some feature unique to PKXDelta that you want to use?

    That’s what you went wrong. Follow through properly, instead of saying “I did everything and it doesn’t work”, cause clearly you didn’t i wont recommenced yt vids, cause vids get outdated soon and this guide has always been updated. But whatever helps you understand best I suppose, just remember it’s all at your own risk.

    You need to back up every dump during the hacking process. A sd back up would only work if you don’t play the games. It’s not a proper save backup. You need to install CFW. also don’t multi post. Also why did it “not work”? Please elaborate.

    Given that you said “you followed tutorials” I have no idea what stage you’re at. For all I know you got saves to your computer, just don’t know how to get em into Citra. For starters, you got CFW on your 3DS?

    1. Ignoring the “works with PKHeX” part for now, “do you have any save files” is like asking you if you have any save files on your computer. To make it even more basic, you know how “save” in the in-game menu saves your progress? Then you can restart the device and your progress is still that? That is referred to as a “save”. So, I’m asking you whether you have any backed up save file to your computer, regardless if it’s from cart or emulator. 2. In regards to “works with PKHeX”, when you drag said file into PKHeX, does PKHeX load and show you the contents of the save?
