  1. Maybe if somebody with "access" to the GBA SDK's multiboot example code could compile a multiboot sender that runs on gba, we could remake the distribution rom. PS, I don't condone piracy.
  2. Don't even get me started on Zeraora. It is meant JUST to appease Digimon and Furry fanbases. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, but again Nintendo, it is an E rated game. Yes, gen one players are adults now, and want fan service, but as SM proved, you ARE a KID's company. Yes, the pokedex had issues, but you yourselves fixed that... Then again, most furries ARE kids... Who like pokemon a bit TOO much...) Still, Nintendo, if you are reading this, please continue your distribution plans, but do it at a Crystal launch party??? Literally one hour after hearing of the USUM leak, googling just the word zeraora with nothing else in the bar in bing under MY settings scarred me for life... In conclusion, fan service is never needed because fans can make their own fan service versions of fan works before official works surface. Eeek! Fans are crazy. 3. I dumped my NTSC-U VC Gold, and I checked the patch in Notepad++, and it does NOT appear to patch that Compare value from 0b to 00, so it does NOT appear to patch the event. It was Travingel who used @Ammako's value over on skeentendo in his fork of Nintendo's Leaked crystal patches. I think Nintendo may be borrowing the code using their legal rights. They may also be patching in the news/servers for JPN versions.
  4. Here is a patch for v1.0 crystal which I made that improves it. It works on vc. PokemonBrainCrystalClockFixStoneMart.ips The patch is an mbc5-based romhack that makes the clock changeable and static until reset, adds in 400 songs from newer and older titles, adds items into the department stores, adds a port of voltorb flip, restores a partial pcc, adds in a lighter safari zone to symbolize closure, with SOME version exclusives present, restores a gameplay hint found in the unused olivine city house, and more. I have made it out of multiple patches, and it is functional enough to play. It uses Armada's Pokemon Crystal Restored Hack, Froggestspirit's Crystal Complete hack, a comprehensive capture mechanics fix, two different patches to allow time change, and a patch which allows purchase of evolutionary stones in department stores. I also restored the beta sgb border from Japanese gold for use in KiGB and VBA-rr-SVN-480. It is fully save-compatible with English crystal saves and stadium 2, (minus gb tower) and it is mapper-compatible with pokemon pinball and TCG gbc games, as well as all European language releases of Yellow (including English) and All European, Non-English releases of Red and Blue. (AKA MBC5, but 32KiB of SRAM/compatible FRAM, along with 4MiB of EPRom is needed to make the game physical without vc to be able to use pokemon mini support.) The only thing you cannot do is set GB Printer darkness which is set at maximum due to aging paper.
  5. I would like to propose a whitelist of the only 6 possible gen 3 and gen4 6x31iv pid numbers and their info. Hopefully these can be used to improve legality for the next release.
  6. Maybe the lack of a Japanese card has to do with them restoring crystal in a year for JPN, and adding the mobile over wifi??? I mean, my crystal hack adds in the Pcc and celebi event, so why not?
  7. http://www.mediafire.com/file/a8ib8mkc3fq625w/PKM_Amarillo_MewMadrid.zip is the link to the save with dj Mew. I found it here: http://www.pokexperto.net/foros/index.php?topic=27460.msg2765479#msg2765479
  8. Thats sad, just googled it. Apparently a nazi probopass also happened, along with haxxed eevee. Also, @HaxAras I don't have the offensive fakemons and nor do I want to be involved with them or be forced to watch someone do the same... Please note they are extinct anyways, and for good reason? If you want a racist gengar go hack it yourself. The move set is public.
  9. First I've heard of such deeds, but wouldn't surprise me. Can someone hexdump the WC full to check trashbytes to be sure? Hacking tools don't leave tbytes.
  10. The odds someone knew how to make custom distribution devices in 2008 are laughable imho. I think it was poorly documented, but then again the shiny-unlocked Spanish d-j Mew was legitimately distributed at the official tcg despite being poorly documented. I view both as legit, same with goruchans.
  11. I had obtained the knowledge of npower's existence from extremely old forum posts from google which I lost the bookmark for. Firstly some trade threads had traded it successfully and on bulbapedia I found this: https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2009691&l=db676&id=1063182054 I found it here: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Talk:List_of_Nintendo_event_Pokémon_in_2008 It appears to be a photo album from the event, and in it there is pics of the wondercard being received. It was not announced, but was distributed. Some unsubstantiated rumors claim it was unofficial, but IMHO at the time WC hacks were uncommon. Not to mention districts carts were unavailable at the time. Can we add the images and WC of the npower to the gallery? There is also a YouTube link at: This should validate it.
  12. In the emtu/pokesav database I archived, a pct and pgt exist of the manaphy egg. Same goes for the NPOWER anniversary pikachu which was distributed but barely announced, even during the event at Nintendo world store. Google may help.
  13. In that case if we cannot extract them we can reconstruct them based on some of the other debugger pokemon in my save of JPN debuggers pokemon. To reconstruct the Venasaur I took Satoru Iwata's Meganium and changed the ID and OT to Nishino's, while I changed the other dumped DEBUG Charizard to the ID and OT of Matsumiya. Do note that these are reconstructions so you know what bytes to look for in the dump file. They may also replace the others if we can't dump them under new policy, therefore making this a troll Charizard/Venasaur. These edits still belonged to debuggers, and the edit was in their power to do via another debug menu in the patch that GG codes can give you. No caught data for you :{ No moves were edited, so Venasaur is legal, and debug charizard keeps it's debug moves. RECONSTRUCTED_JPN_DEBUGGERS_PKMN.sav 006 - リザードン - 5F4A.pk2 003 - フシギバナ - D8E9.pk2 JPNDEBUGGERS_WITH_RECONSTRUCTED_DEBUG_TRADES.zip
  14. @Purin I was talking about how to get oras demo anytime. At hex offset 108d6a in the debug crystal rom kabiin venasaur's 4-byte OT name can be found. The I'd is 23 01 in hex just before that. This should be enough to extract the pokemon.
  15. The Venasaur's OT with the ID of 08961 (that is not Gefuri) romanizes to Kabiin, a name for a Capsule Monsters concept for dex no. 142 that resembles a proto tanuki-styled munchlax-sized snorlax in the style of a cartoon drawing of Kouji Nishino, who I suspect the Venasaur's OT was, especially as Matsumiya had the same Role of Game Scenario Designer as Nishino. This brings the total of Japanese debugger's pokemon for the 8-bit games to 29 pokemon, or 1 off from a full box of pokemon that may have been owned by the actual debuggers. I posted here a while ago that I had extracted the PK2 files for Satoru Iwata's pokemon from the Japanese Stadium GS save using a Japanese gold. Can these Japanese ones be added to satoru's debugger pokemon as pk2 files, as I spent a week extracting them on pj64. I also discovered that we can get the missing ORAS demo pokemon via using a console that never played Kalos or the demo, and playing a new copy of A kalos game. My friend got the demo via this. MAybe we could extract the demo from the CART filesystem and install it as a CIA To run the demo when needed???
  16. Hello researchers! I came back from my temporary hiatus to say a few things. First, there are 2 more debuggers pokemon in JPN crystal. In one of the mobile testing options in the tcrf patched version's debug menu, which I will list when I look at the article, a script activates that first shows the title screen half-stitched, but when you hit the a button twice, a simulated mobile trade between 2 debug trainers is initiated with a gefuri and creatures venasaur and charizard being the items for trade between two debuggers. I would love to add these to my debugger pokemon collection for gens 1/2 so pokebank can love me if they allow it. On glitchcity labs where the debugger code for Japanese crystal is located, I found the option that does the fake trade: Other (そのた) This function is used to display a simulated mobile trade between ゲーフリ Game Freak, who trades a Venusaur with OT 08961 かびーん (does this mean something?), and クリーチャ Creatures, who trades a Charizard with OT 22020 マツミヤ Matsumiya. (Those OT IDs are 23 01 and 56 04 in hexadecimal.) Also, On a French pokemon forum, I found a list of the only valid gen3/4 flawless natures and their PID and seed 0 frame times, which I will list here so that they can be added as valid rng pid's in pkhex, just so rng players are not restricted to the first valid frame, even though the rest are extremely tedious to rng even on emulators due to their massive frame count. The frame counter overflows just around under 4.3 billion frames, and the longest one here is 3 billion. I only want them on the exception list to give rng players more freedom in nature for gba emerald. I got them from here: http://shinyshunters.fr-bb.com/t6398-aide-mew-shiney-6ivs-legit Here they are for ya: Code: Frame Time PID Nature 1. 176,562,489 34d 01h 25m 08s 150ms PID 7942EF72 Timid 2. 816,994,416 157d 14h 22m 53s 600ms PID E85091A9 Docile 3. 1,821,972,669 351d 11h 03m 31s 150ms PID E9375A48 Calm 4. 2,324,046,137 448d 07h 28m 22s 283ms PID F9426F72 Modest 5. 2,964,478,064 571d 20h 26m 07s 733ms PID 685011A9 Modest 6. 3,969,456,317 765d 17h 06m 45s 283ms PID 6937DA48 Modest Résultats obtenus avec le logiciel RNG Reporter 9.96.5 BETA
  17. Hello to all! I just came on to inform everyone that there is a new version of the hack for NTSC-U V1.0 Crystal that adds in things like Voltorb Flip, Gen 1 music, nite music, darker gb printer output, extra music from later games, the physical/special split, and more. As it doubles the rom size to 4MB, a size that Retail Crystal's MBC3/MBC30 does not support, but is supported by the Clockless MBC5 board used in the localized GBC-enhanced Yellow releases and all non-NTSC-U and all non-NTSC-J Red and Blue copies, plus the Pokemon Pinball GBC copies in all regions with the pager motor. As there is no clock for MBC5 (except on inaccurate emulators and/or VBA-RR 480 and the 3ds VC [at least without my patch.]) I have applied a 16 byte IPS that nulls the three bytes between 0x06e5 and 0x06e8 and have bypassed the clock passcode check by changing 0x4d461 from 0x37 to 0xc9 to NOP the checks for those RTC code pieces. I also enabled the beta border more universally with a minor header hack but had to remove the beta title screen due to it causing scrambling if loaded during attract mode on a button press. As the game hack uses better optimized and more effective LZ77 compression than the late great Satoru Iwata-san's implementation of the GFX LZ77 the gfx may have safe quirks, and glitch graphics WILL BE DIFFERENT, so don't try them! Also, while Stadium 2 loads the save correctly, since the game fills a normal unexpanded N64's ram, it obviously won't work in the GB Tower on a Jumper Pak N64. However, for some strange reason that defies logic, when Stadium 2 is given the Expansion Pak that it was designed to use, it will still fail the GB Tower load regardless of setting. However, if it would load, it would have a JPN Gold SGB border on the Native EMU. However, I think a GS Code or a Romhack for Z64/CD64 copiers or ED64/64D Flashcarts could force the game to load large MBC5 romhacks up to 6MB in gb tower, as the localized Yellow in all areas besides JPN region and the non-English localized releases of Red and Blue use this MBC5 board with a pittance of memory, so it would be trivial to increase the limit both in the EMU code and header reader code, and allow Gen2 Headers on the MBC5 whitelist. Stadium 1 only allowed 1MB and Stadium 1 (the 64DD-required version) in JPN only allowed the 512KB R/G/B Gen1 games. Therefore we could use the Expansion Pak to force this hack to work. We may be able to make GS64 codes to avoid piracy. Anyway, I said enough about this hack and its traits, so I will attach the IPS file below. Make sure to apply it to the V1.0 Initial PRG0 English release of Crystal that does NOT have the CRLF glitch in the Dummied-out Untranslated mobile menus. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this. I wish to credit Armada651 off Github and Skeentendo for making the initial base of Pokemon Crystal Restored, and the Github/Skeentendo User FroggestSpirit for making the Bigger second base called Pokemon Crystal Complete. I wish to credit all parties that they both have credited, as well as Nintendo, and kanzure/pret for RE'ing Crystal to make this possible, as well as TCRF for the SGB hack, the bank pointer for the 4d61 clock code that I edited with GB-PC Pointer calculator, and Loopy's late great Pocketheaven for the RTC hack, along with Reddit, GBAtemp and 4chan for mirroring the parts of this hack that died off or were hard to build. Enjoy this hack. No features were removed. The GB printer prints a direct and cleaner Grayscale image of the printed screen at max contrast due to aging paper, and the game corner still has the original games in both corners. The rtc is manual, and no gfx glitches are unsafe, major, or irreversible. The fishable pokemon in the restored safari zone are still there. Wild pokemon are still faithful. Trainers and Difficulty are still normal. I kept this faithful. Unlike Polished Crystal, the battletower is Untouched. No stats/types/pokemon are edited or added. Minimal banks were modded. That's all for now. Sincerely, St. GIGA on his last day of freedom. Pokemon DreamCrystal (With MBC5 No-RTC Patch) [For V1.0 of NTSC-U Crystal].ips
  18. Hello. I have managed to extract the Stadium 2 GS JPN Satoru Iwata debuggers pokemon out of the "POKEMON STADIUM G&S.fla" file in the downloads section, and I have zipped the pk2/jpk2 files up. I also have bundled a JPN save file of Pokemon Gold that has the pokemon in the first box, while the second box has them, plus the JPN crystal debuggers pokemon and unofficially migrated copies of the Japanese RGBY Debuggers pokemon such as the Exeggutor that belonged to Ishihara-san, and the first programmed Rhydon, which is the first programmed pokemon. I have included the cleverly named JP gold save, and the zip with the new stadium 2 debug pokemon. If all are counted, it fills 27 pokemon, leaving room for the undumped Japanese variants of the unreleased trades in yellow. Make sure to use the latest PKHEX and 7Zip. Also, use trunc.exe (found by googling) to truncate the save to 32,816 32,767, 32,768, 65,536 or 65,535 (YMMV for emulators) to use the pokemon. (They may not obey.) 19. Hello there. I wish to let you know that @suloku and I have RNG'd a Timid 6x31IV Shiny Faraway Island Mew, in such a way that it has the visible info of a PokePark Taiwan 2006 Mew as well, making it a double event. It can be found in @ReignOfComputer's collection along with the other Mew that came from Eppie. It is truly one of a kind and very mythical, so treat it better than an average Mew by avoiding to use it as an HM slave if you can. Best Regards, St. GIGA
  20. Could you check my newest post. I have some PKM files from pokesav.org that I saved. Please check them.

    Here they are.
