  1. Yeah, that would be because nobody is certain. Until somebody decides to stop speculating and actually break out a debugger on the disc the best answer you'll get is maybe.
  2. pokegra is the file DP uses. You need to open pl_pokegra.narc
  3. According to the iDeaS FAQ, the plugin does not actually allow you to connect to wifi.
  4. It's not a bug. Legal just lists the languages it COULD have been initially migrated to. Often there is more than one possible, so it lists both. In this case, if you don't know anything about the past of the pokemon you can only say that it was palparked to a French OR Korean DPPt.
  5. I brought that up to Sabre and the others but it seems the debugging features are rather lacking compared to a "true" debugger.
  6. Thanks. Also you probably couldn't upload the spanish one because the forums check your previous uploads for identical files. All that is different is the filename, so you won't be able to upload. It shouldn't be necessary to though, now that we know they are the same.
  7. Very nice. Thank you for uploading, now we can confirm that they're all the same. I'm not sure if you noticed, but they are. =)
  8. I think you mean pokemon sunday. Nevertheless, very cool.
  9. At this point it's just an idea really. The goal is to use software to intercept communications between your pokemon DPPt cart and Nintendo's servers, thus allowing you to get pkm files of your pokemon without the need for extra hardware such as an AR or flashcart. Progress is almost nonexistent for a variety of reasons, mainly because it requires a hardware (versus software) debugger and considerable know-how. Check this thread.
  10. Sorry about that, it hasn't been updated in some time.
  11. This is the big question here. The only way to prove/disprove would be to debug the disc as the mew is being generated. WISHMKR jirachi should always be restricted, shiny or not. EDIT: Sabre, I'm quite sure they have some misinformation... That never was their strong suit anyway. I have the disc and I have always received restricted jirachis.
  12. I don't think he means an official box, if that's what you're getting at. The time and hardware required for a DIY debugger is still considerable though.
  13. Yes, I believe what Sabre meant is that he asked them about the 10 ANIV and especially other events/GBA events in general. Mike Liesik seems to be the only one knowledgeable/willing to help so hopefully we can get ahold of him personally. They'll most likely be down for good. I don't know who Sabre spoke to, but yamipoli is the one who I spoke with. She's quite knowledgeable about some of the inner workings of the game and generally a good source of information... I believe many of the JEREMY pokemon you can find today were originally received by her. Your comment is dully noted and ignored. If we wanted to do that we'd probably make up some silly name like Secure and ban anyone thinking an independent thought. Not to mention we just flat out wouldn't want to waste our time doing that.
  14. Think about it, and you'll see that it's really not that funny/odd/whatever. We don't listen to people we hardly know who can't provide evidence beyond "that's just how it is" or "it is because s/he said so". Seems pretty logical to me.
  15. Checksums are easy enough to fix, but if you received a pokemon with an invalid checksum than somebody must have been messing with it in a hex editor. So yeah, you could definitely say it's hacked.
  16. Oh, I assumed he was only talking about the 2004 set. Whoops.
  17. Are those pokemon Singe listed included in the 2004-2005 series?
  18. Both Sabresite and myself have spoken with trustworthy people who attended the 10 ANIV events and saw someone around them obtain a shiny. Besides the fact that a pokemon can be shiny and still conform to the GBA event algorithm, that is all the evidence we have.
  19. There's no way they won't allow you to trade a pokemon just because of this. Especially since you can't change the ball a pokemon was caught in. How they'll do it I don't know, maybe it will be similar to how they handled Pt-exclusive locations. The HGSS ball info could be stored in one part of the pkm while the DPPt would be in another. Maybe reverting to a default of "pokeball" when the pokemon is traded.
  20. Why is your download over twice as fast for the one 1900 miles from you?
  21. If you guys want an accurate comparison you'll have to know the difference between kilobytes per second and kilobits per second. The speed in kilobytes would be written as KB/s and the speed in kilobits would be Kb/s (the capitalization on the K doesn't matter). One kilobyte is equal to 8 kilobits. As you can see up above, my download is 5.36 megabits per second, which equals 686 kilobytes per second.
  22. Sorry, I double screwed up on that post. Check the contribs thread, that's where I intended to post them and now they have the correct filenames.
  23. Don't see what else they'd be, with names like that. Great find!
  24. 1. Correct, we have the GCEA covered. 2. These are in the same boat as GTS pokemon. I suppose I should at least list them, but I think only "pedigreed" uploads should be accepted. Because the PID-IV correlation is unknown (or nonexistent), it's impossible to tell all but the blatantly obvious hacks from the real deal.
