  1. I don't often know the answers to these kinds of questions, so don't get accustomed to it. In this case, it's the one without "Platinum". There's a question mark next to it because that data wasn't obtained by me, and I'm not sure that value is applicable solely to Platinum as the source of the data suggested.
  2. 2.304 - Fixed loading of markers on a Pokemon. - Fixed shiny leaf settings not working properly.
  3. You're right, it's not working properly. I'll fix it in an hour or two.
  4. Suggestions are requested in the main post. There's no need to be (what seems like) afraid. I realize this is inconvenient if you're trying to make your save file seem perfectly normal, but adding something like this in a detailed way would be a pretty massive addition. I don't even currently know anything about where the Pokedex data is saved or how it's structured. So, it could be added at some point, but I can't say I have any current plans to do so. The only alternative at the moment would be to use another program or codes. Just as a note, I have other projects not related to Pokemon that I work on, and which take up more of my time/interest. That's the main reason behind more things not being added to this project on a regular basis.
  5. Neither the country nor origin is checked. It's solely based on trainer information.
  6. It'd be helpful to know exactly what activation keys you're using, which code type, which game, and which slot you're trying to create a Pokemon in. I tried the select activator on Diamond, Platinum, and Soul Silver, and they worked fine. (Also, this would've been more appropriate in the program's thread.)
  7. I've never seen any of them be non-zero other than byte 135, which has something to do with Pokeathlon stats in HG/SS. (These stats are only actively changed while a Pokemon is in your party. Data is lost as far as I know when they're put into your PC.)
  8. ... The game knows no difference. Acting like there is one does nothing but cause confusion. (Yes, I realize a lot of other people do this same thing, but that doesn't make it appropriate.)
  9. Everything you read is wrong. There is simply no difference. If it's still showing as "apparently", you have something else wrong, or the SID itself is just the wrong number.
  10. Didn't you ever get taught that preceding zeroes have absolutely no impact on a number? 1 == 0000000000000000000000000000000001.
  11. This will result in no changes to the save file. You must update the slot by setting it from the controls after making changes.
  12. I don't know enough about how the AR functions to be able to tell you what's wrong, but I know it's not the code generators' problem.
  13. I'd appreciate it if you could explain. If there's something wrong with it, it can be fixed.
  14. If it stays the same, you're either doing something wrong or not using the right codes for the ROM you have. AR codes just overwrite any data that's there already, so it'll both create new Pokemon and overwrite existing ones.
  15. Thanks for the feedback. Assuming you're saving to the same file that you're putting on your hardware, the only reason the Pokemon wouldn't be modified is if you're not setting them back to the slots after modification. This isn't done for you. "Show in controls" > edit > "Set from controls" As a side note, I don't really like the way that functions, and have a few ideas for changing it. I'm not sure when anything will be implemented though.
  16. What I said is saying "yes" to that indirect question. You just have to do it right. I don't know if Pokesav alters save files in a way that's undectable, but I'm positive that PokeGen doesn't leave any signs. | | v
  17. I don't understand why people who are, presumably, aware of a better alternative promote a pointlessly "complicated" method still. Rikiyu, check my signature for a program to make the whole process easier.
  18. <insert obligatory "solution: don't use Pokesav" post> Why? | | v
  19. You can create Pokemon that're completely indistinguishable from genuine things. People will throw the whole "legitimate" concept down your throat, but just ignore them.
  20. PokeGen makes it effortless. The link is in my signature.
  21. As far as I know, there's no way whatsoever to detect it, assuming you save only perfect Pokemon that're identical to either Pokemon that can be generated by the game or distributed via events. EDIT: Or traded/whatever onto your game by other normal means that don't involve "hacking", obviously.
  22. I think there's a stupid way to get around the problem, but using software that's buggy, doesn't get fixed, lacks support for some things, and is more difficult to use just doesn't make sense.
  23. In most cases, there's nothing special to do other than type in the names you want/need. The symbols (called characters, or glyphs) you see are all of the different characters available in the games. Since you can't easily type all (and some not at all) of them, they're provided there so you can double click them. (As is stated in the tooltip.) The answer is in the "Generate shiny ID" button's tooltip.
