  1. I wasn't even aware of this until you mentioned it. (Keep in mind that I barely play the games.) It seems like too much of an annoyance to add for so little gain.
  2. www.imgur.com Upload it there, link to it here. I confirmed that the combobox problem does occur on Windows XP, however, even on XP, none of the other problems were present. You ARE using 3.0.3, I assume. Edit: Apparently I missed the fact that you mentioned you use the classic UI appearance. That's what causes the text overlapping problem to occur, although I'm not sure why yet. Edit2: That's now fixed.

    General Questions

If these boxes weren't written to the save file, where exactly would PokeGen save these Pokemon? There's no random free space in the save file to put them. And why would I leave out the ability to edit the PC boxes? It just doesn't make sense for what you're questioning to even be questioned. Even more significantly, you could take maybe a whole 60 seconds and test this to get an answer yourself.

    General Questions

No. It's normal depending on the thing being generated. I don't know what you mean. They all serve the same purpose. The party slots are obviously your party Pokemon, however. They aren't party "boxes", unless you're referring to the visual aspect in the program. Your question is basically asking the same thing twice, which I don't understand. Whatever Pokemon you see in those slots in PokeGen will be in your party when you save the save file. Or in the case of generating codes for party Pokemon, the codes will overwrite each specific slot. Yes, but each code is separate. There's no reason to use more than one activator in most cases.
  5. I've known about this, but haven't cared enough to fix it. What? This doesn't happen to me. So you're saying clicking the combobox doesn't open any list at all? I'll need a screenshot of that one. It sounds like you're using a non-standard DPI setting. Yet another thing that doesn't occur for me. What OS are you using? Are you using any UI modifications like WindowBlinds or something?
  6. I don't recall how eggs work. I'm pretty sure the PID is changed when they're hatched, which means any PID-related settings (such as shininess) you set in PokeGen aren't going to be relevant, if true.
  7. The used IDs code should've frozen the game since it's been available. The card codes should only have been non-functional since 3.0.2. That's likely why you had no problems. PokeGen doesn't allow modification of cards in any way. It only reads the data from the files. There's a value in the cards that indicates whether or not the generated Pokemon can be shiny or will be shiny.
  8. It'd help if you could verify that 3.0.3 is producing functional codes, just in case the actual hardware is behaving differently than Desmume.
  9. You have great timing. A new version was literally JUST uploaded to address the problems with Mystery Gift codes. As a note, however, only the used card IDs code should ever have caused any freezing.
  10. 3.0.3 FIXED: Mystery Gift codes for Black/White weren't functioning properly as a result of the changes in 3.0.2. There was also an error present since 3.0.0 with the used card IDs code.
  11. I'm posting again for visibility. After randomly checking, I found that the Mystery Gift codes got messed up with 3.0.2 as a result of the change to make other codes compatible with all versions/languages. So I apologize for being more sure of the program than I should've been. I'll be putting out an update as soon as it's fixed. Edit: Further checking reveals that even with the error, the actual Mystery Gift codes still never froze the game if the correct code was used. They simply didn't write the card as intended. However, another problem was found with the used card IDs code that DOES freeze the game. Edit2: 3.0.3 has been uploaded.
  12. People actually use this feature?

    God Stone

It's a bad translation or incorrect data. No item exists within the game's files that's named "God Stone". Edit: According to the item description data, it's index 622, which is shown as "???", or no item. Unless this is actually given a string dynamically in-game, which no other item does, this isn't an item. Edit2: Ok, the item exists in the Japanese ROMs. Considering it serves no purpose, I'm not adding it. Edit3: Hi Guested!

    God Stone

There is no "God Stone". Any item that exists in the game is in the item lists already.

I agree, it could use that at this point, since the value has been well established as being used for that purpose.
  16. In which case you need to actually select the proper game when you generate the code. If the problem still actually occurs, and the CORRECT code was entered CORRECTLY, I don't have an explanation. Unless you're using a modified ROM, the chance of it failing to work is pretty low. The chance of you messing something up, however, is much higher.
  17. I guarantee you didn't read the questions and answers thread in the PokeGen section.
  18. 3.0.2 FIXED: Black/White Wonder Cards that yield Pokémon are able to be flagged as possibly giving a shiny Pokémon, which wasn't accounted for. (Found by Guested.) FIXED: Comboboxes were still having issues with recognizing selection in certain cases. CHANGED: Non-Mystery-Gift codes for Black/White are now compatible between both versions and all languages. The Mystery Gift codes can't be made the same due to their relative complexity. Since Mystery Gift codes still require game and language information, the comboboxes are still enabled and simply aren't relevant to other codes. (Thanks to Bond697/Mat.)
  19. I finally checked, and as expected, the save file data is screwed. The checksums of a lot of the Pokemon are incorrect, causing decryption to go wrong. So no, this isn't PokeGen's fault.
  20. I have no idea how you've managed to do what I'm seeing when loading the file. I don't have time to investigate further right now, but it looks annoying. Also, since this clearly has to do with the functioning of the program, why did you not post this in the appropriate forum? If you want my time spent to try to figure out what's wrong, you could AT LEAST save me the annoyance of moving it.
  21. Desmume creates .dsv files when using in-game saving, which PokeGen supports. It creates .dst and .ds# files when using save states, which I haven't spent the time to learn the format of in order to support them.
  22. You can make it yourself with PokeGen.
  23. Those aren't save files, they're save states. Save the game using the game's actual save mechanism.
  24. Can you upload the .pkm file?

Editing of Wonder Cards definitely isn't going to happen. At this point, it looks like item editing isn't either, or at least not any time soon. I'd say the next update (aside from any bugs that're discovered) will be when Black/White 2 come out.
