Oh my goodness, I'm blind. Thank you so much! Aha -
Updated to b1.1.0. This update is mostly a buff pass, going through some species I missed before, such as Primeape, Dewgong, Seaking, and to a lesser extent, Omastar. Note that if you own certain Pokemon changed by this update, evolving them might cause some unexpected effects. For example, if you had a Seel with Thick Fat, it will evolve into a Dewgong with Deadeye. There shouldn't be any other issues with updating, however. Oh, also, if you have a Pokemon that knows Rage earlier than is now intended, you get to have godlike power for a while. Changelog:

Oh and that video is actually from Black 2. Not Black, I don't think. I'm not sure, but I'm watching it right now. I think that's what Saia told me. He said "well first off is barry in black 2 originally". and said "so with out cheats hes actually in black2". And yes that is true, I might not get Nintendo DS later on this year, but I might try out PkHex and see, I'm not sure yet.

Oh interesting, the difference I thought I saw between 2 & 3 must've been purely placebo then. -
Oh weird I didn't know that about Level 1s not existing yet. That's super funky. So there's no legitimate way to obtain a level 1 pokemon in gens 1-3? And thanks for your help that totally fixed it!

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond Save Issues

And it worked. Thank you so much for the help. I guess moving forward, I have to restore the save file to my emmunand and sysnand manually. Oh no I don't touch any of that stuff. I don't pirate stuff and themes don't matter to me.- 23 replies

Oh, was your save at the very beginning of the game? Yeah there's a few fixed encounters sprinkled here and there, and the Wurmple is one of them. If I recall correctly, it is shiny locked, so that your first encounter won't be an impossible shiny (one that you couldn't catch). Well hopefully it is all good for ya now :3

Oh thank you for the explanation! I kinda knew I was missing some knowledge, last releases are perfect it seemed too weird. Another confirm that google is the worst place to find answers...Not that I blindly believe what they write, but everytime I get disappointed like they don't even have the doubt, they are straight "no its impossible to have it in a dream ball", without any explanation and/or documentation to prove their arguments. Thank you again!

@MeroMero Your Formula... Formula to find whether a Pokémon is banned or not is P=(8×B)+b with: P (Pokémon) being a number between 0 and 649 included; B being the Byte number, counting from 0; b being the bit number from a given Byte, from 0 to 7 included read from right to left. It is very strict I cannot understand, as long as I have a hex editor that can read in Binary. And furthermore, your Banlist may be less or more than a THEORY, as I tried turning that Banlist for Black 2 to remove the Banners from the PWT. I have some screenshots: File 33 Default Bytes Edited Bytes File 34 Default Bytes Edited Bytes File 35 Default Bytes Edited Bytes File 36 Default Bytes Edited Bytes I decided to convert your Banlist to zeros, since according to the binary reading, it could Unban all Legendary Pokémon. BUT... It doesn't work. I was clearly a little nervous playing my Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Celebi on PWT, but with all that editing effort NOTHING WORKED. Also, a user named isleep2late, explain that IF there is another method to Unban the Legendary Pokémon Battle Subway, WITHOUT EDITING YOUR BANLIST. And of course it is in the hexadecimal of the narc 6 that you explain. But instead of hitting unpack, I click "Hexadecimal." It turns out that only with Edit the second B0 0E to "00 00" (found at offset 0000000B0 of Columns C and D) You could Unban All Legendary Pokémon in Battle Subway!! (Only for the Single Player train.) And it Works!! Battle Subway: Single - Turn this Bytes to "00 00" to Unban everthing RESULTS: Well this only works for the Single Player mode of Battle Subway. But! I also discovered for Double, Multi and also the 4 PWT modes! (Single, Double, Triple & Rotation) Just look at these screenshots.... Battle Subway: Double - Turn this Bytes to "00 00" to Unban everthing Battle Subway: Multi - Turn this Bytes to "00 00" to Unban everthing PWT: Single - Turn this Bytes to "00 00" to Unban everthing PWT: Double - Turn this Bytes to "00 00" to Unban everthing PWT: Triple - Turn this Bytes to "00 00" to Unban everthing PWT: Rotation - Turn this Bytes to "00 00" to Unban everthing Normally this works 100% in Double and Multi modes of Battle Subway. But... for PWT... I know my Legendary Pokémons can finally be Unbanned. But when selecting any Pokémon team, be it in the Gym Leaders or Champions mode in any mode: Individual, Double, Triple & Rotation. When the game loading the quarterfinals, for no reason the game freezes and stays on BLACK SCREEN. I don't know why this happens? But I was about to let go of my desperation to play my Legendary Pokémon. But this... Oh my gosh I have no idea what to do... I was happy that my Legendary Pokémon were unbanned, but now I'm DESPERATE for this! Why... Why did a screenshot have to happen, WHY!? I'm so sad. We need you to explain how your formula is used, but that requires a video tutorial, please help us, as this thread happened 6 years later.

It Doesn't work for me... I put almost zeros in the file 33, 34, 35 & 36 in my Black 2 Like this one: File 33 Default Bytes Edited with *almost* Zeros Bytes File 34 Default Bytes Edited with *almost* Zeros Bytes File 35 Default Bytes Edited with *almost* Zeros Bytes File 36 Default Bytes Edited with *almost* Zeros Bytes Then save my ROM this way, and I went to PWT and what happened is NOTHING WORKED. I see my Legendary Pokémon as: Mew, Mewtwo, Celebi, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Groudon, Kyogre, among others, and it turns out that they continue with the "BANNED" word. Also the steps of MeroMero are so strict that I can't even understand, like: Formula to find whether a Pokémon is banned or not is P=(8×B)+b with: P (Pokémon) being a number between 0 and 649 included; B being the Byte number, counting from 0; b being the bit number from a given Byte, from 0 to 7 included read from right to left. And also I found another method as you discovered the B0 0E for the Battle Subway (for Single Only), this time it is for the Battle Subway double, Multi and all PWT modes. Battle Subway: Double - Turn this bytes to "00 00" to unban everthing. Battle Subway: Multi - Turn this bytes to "00 00" to unban everthing. PWT: Single - Turn this bytes to "00 00" to unban everthing. PWT: Double - Turn this bytes to "00 00" to unban everthing. PWT: Triple - Turn this bytes to "00 00" to unban everthing. PWT: Rotation - Turn this bytes to "00 00" to unban everthing. I know that I discovered that and the PWT has just progressed me that my Legendary Pokémon are already UNBANNED right now. BUT when selecting your team, I already know of whatever method you want as your Pokémon go, the game for some mysterious reason freezes and is left on the BLACK screen. Moment that loads the PWT game from the quarterfinals, but for no reason does the game to stay THIS WAY. I only hope I have responded and notified you since your comment has passed 1 year...

BDSP Removing Battle Tower Banlist
ABZB replied to isleep2late's topic in ROM - Switch Research and Development
My name has been spoken and behold! I am summoned to this plane. The other possibility you should check for is that they switched to the method they used in the later games, where they have a string of bytes where each bit corresponds to a single Pokemon in internal index order, and each bit is a 1 if the corresponding Pokemon is banned. For example, in USUM, the string to search for is: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C0 07 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 98 7E 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D8 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 F0 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 E0 01 87 It's easy to eyeball where each gen ends, since the banned Pokemon are at the end of each generation (e.g. 0xC0 is Mewtwo and Mew, then the later 0x0E is Lugia, Ho-oh, and Celebi) - so the string for BDSP (assuming they truncated it and didn't bother banning the Pokemon they didn't include) should end at 0x98 7E, except that the highest bit of the last byte is actually banning Victini, so just search for: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C0 07 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 98 (since I'm not sure if they included banning Victini and beyond, I'm not sure what the bytes after that 0x98 look like, but that string should be long enough to narrow it down to exactly what you want). Generally speaking the games have had an instance of the ban-string per battle mode (even if they're all identical banlists) - for example, in USUM there's copies for each of Battle Royale, the Battle Tree modes, and the Battle Agency. I suspect that they switched to the new method, because the way the gen IV code handled things like (some) alternate Formes is somewhat different than the way it is handled in later gens, so if they're using the newer stuff for that they probably copied over that bit too -
Oh so that's the cause thanks for clearing that up. Its a Shame that it is useless on Articuno-Galar being part flying.

Hi there, I noticed your post so here are your mystery gift results for those trainer IDs (interesting pattern in them!) Reading the latest discussions above, I guess none of us have thus far managed to find a single instance where Stadium 2 gives one of the rarer items that does not match the Trainer ID from this tool. I guess I will need to consider getting a second Gameboy Colour if I ever intend to get all the items on my Gold save for the completionist spirit in me. And keep reset some second Gen 2 game for different trainer IDs. Oh well!

Pokémon B2W2 Move Tutor Compatibility
TheSantix17 replied to TheSantix17's topic in ROM - NDS Discussion & Help
Oh yeah, don't worry about that. It wasn't my intention to make it sound "rude" or anything. I just wanted to know the exact reasons since you guys made a lot of tools already. Anyways, I'm sorry if it was "awkard" for some of you. Also, thanks a lot for responding. I didn't expect that many answers for such an old game.
