Actually it was originally called the PV or Personality Value. It determined the individual characteristics of the Pokemon. The PV and IVs make up the genetic code of a Pokemon and determine all of its characteristics it was born with.

I updated the algorithm to fix a few bugs. I also tested the case with Charmander learning Dragon Dance and Flare Blitz. - HORSEA & CHARIZARD - CHARIZARD & CHARMANDER - CHARMANDER ---------- - SEADRA & CHARIZARD - CHARIZARD & CHARMANDER - CHARMANDER ---------- - GYARADOS & CHARIZARD - CHARIZARD & CHARMANDER - CHARMANDER ---------- - DRATINI & CHARIZARD - CHARIZARD & CHARMANDER - CHARMANDER ---------- - DRAGONAIR & CHARIZARD - CHARIZARD & CHARMANDER - CHARMANDER ---------- - DRAGONITE & CHARIZARD - CHARIZARD & CHARMANDER - CHARMANDER ---------- - KINGDRA & CHARIZARD - CHARIZARD & CHARMANDER - CHARMANDER ---------- - ALTARIA & CHARIZARD - CHARIZARD & CHARMANDER - CHARMANDER ---------- Total Chains: 8
Here is the detailed view of the test program. In this case I am testing an Elekid with Ice Punch and Cross Chop.
- MACHOP - Cross Chop (level:37:60), Cross Chop (level:40:7) & ELEKID -> ELECTAB UZZ - Ice Punch (tutor:2) - ELEKID ---------- - MACHOKE - Cross Chop (level:40:67), Cross Chop (level:46:7), Cross Chop (level :37:60) & ELEKID -> ELECTABUZZ - Ice Punch (tutor:2) - ELEKID ---------- - MACHAMP - Cross Chop (level:40:67), Cross Chop (level:46:7), Cross Chop (level :37:60) & ELEKID -> ELECTABUZZ - Ice Punch (tutor:2) - ELEKID ---------- - MANKEY - Cross Chop (level:37:60), Cross Chop (level:39:3), Cross Chop (level: 31:4) & RIOLU -> LUCARIO - RIOLU -> LUCARIO & ELEKID -> ELECTABUZZ - Ice Punch (tutor:2) - ELEKID ---------- - PRIMEAPE - Cross Chop (level:41:60), Cross Chop (level:45:3), Cross Chop (leve l:35:4), Cross Chop (level:37:60), Cross Chop (level:39:3), Cross Chop (level:31 :4) & RIOLU -> LUCARIO - RIOLU -> LUCARIO & ELEKID -> ELECTABUZZ - Ice Punch (tutor:2) - ELEKID ---------- - SMEARGLE - Cross Chop (sketch:67) & RIOLU -> LUCARIO - RIOLU -> LUCARIO & ELEKID -> ELECTABUZZ - Ice Punch (tutor:2) - ELEKID ---------- Total Chains: 6
The detailed view is a little difficult to understand, however it shows the Pokemon and how it acquires the particular move, the level, and game. The game is shown as a number, this is called an enumeration flag. The program will have a family tree look similar to Veekun. Notice that Veekun's results are incomplete as well. Of course the final program will allow you to filter the results based on the games available to you. In this case, Elekid can learn Ice Punch from the or Platinum move tutor. If 3rd generation games are not checked, the chains would be completely different.

For anyone who is interested in the algorithm, I have attached it to the original thread.

Will make any pokemon/item AR/PKM - Post Here
Sabresite replied to benngy's topic in Pokémon Requests
By the way, if you (or anyone else) knows how to use Pokesav and can make the Pokemon properly, then simply create a new thread, attach it, and ask someone to wifi it to you. That would be the easiest. -
Ya ZMaster is correct and wrong, depending on how strict a person's interpretation of legality is. I personally do not distinguish between legit and legal, where legal (on the binary level) looks exactly the same as a legit Pokemon. Others make the distinction because they delute themselves into believing that its possible to know the true background of Pokemon which did not originate from themselves.
-
Yeah, I can understand that. Do you know if the stations were giving out anything other than Seviper and Absol respectively?

PPSE: Can you add feature ______? - POST HERE
Sabresite replied to Sabresite's topic in Saves - Research
I have the main events listed on my feature list. If you want the minor events (battling every NPC in the game and other stuff), then I would need the before/after save games. Make sure to save twice (in a row) with the after one, so I don't have to split the blocks (makes it faster). -

The problem with verifying whether or not they are legit is a few things: The PID<->IVs do not conform to any known algorithm. The machine's increased the trainer ID by 1 for each person who used it. This was ONLY reset when the machine was turned off, and even then it could have saved the last index for later usage. There is no way to determine which ID went to which Pokemon. There were also 4 machines, A, B, C, D. Maybe someone else knows, but I haven't heard any clarification on how the set up was. Was it A, B, C, D - each one had a diff Pokemon? Did you get one randomly? Did it cycle through them? Did each machine give you an option of which Pokemon you wanted? All of these things change how legality is determined. Were the trainer id's used more than once? How many people attended. Some say as little as 1000 per machine. Without knowing exactly how the event was conducted, or having the machine's code, there is almost no way of determining legality.

I modified a few things in regards to this topic: Pokemon Requests, all off topic boards, wifi trading, and competitive battling do not contribute to post count. Why the last two? Because frankly speaking, spamming your trade shop and requests for Pokemon via trade, and IV battle requests or scrimmages do not really contribute to the progress of the boards as a whole.

There is no such thing as a hybrid. Its simply taking advantage of a memory location pointer that goes beyond its intended array limit. The consequences are unintentional. I doubt anyone here would take time to develop codes for this.

Nintendo WiFi Protocol Analysis
Sabresite replied to AngelSL's topic in RAM - NDS Research & Development
Angel, it uses SSL the same way a web browser would. It receives a certificate and other crap, generates the numbers, receives a number, and then generates the encryption key pair. If we can mimic that, we can figure this garbage out. -
You can take any console (black command prompt) program and execute it to output to notepad. For example with Legality Checker it would be legal.exe "Pokemon File" > Output.txt

I have almost perfected my algorithm for chain breeding. I rewrote it so that it operates much faster than before. I will release a basic version first and do the UI later. I will release the program very soon and I will include the source code. To get an idea of how it works, here is Veekun's for Eevee & Curse Here is the output of the current generator: - SLOWPOKE & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SLOWBRO & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GASTLY & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - HAUNTER & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GENGAR & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SHUPPET & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - BANETTE & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSKULL & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSCLOPS & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SPIRITOMB & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSKNOIR & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SLOWKING & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GASTLY & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - HAUNTER & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GENGAR & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SHUPPET & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - BANETTE & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSKULL & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSCLOPS & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SPIRITOMB & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSKNOIR & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TURTWIG & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GROTLE & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TORTERRA & RHYHORN - RHYHORN & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SLOWPOKE & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SLOWBRO & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TURTWIG & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GROTLE & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TORTERRA & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SLOWKING & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TURTWIG & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GROTLE & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TORTERRA & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GASTLY & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - HAUNTER & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GENGAR & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SHUPPET & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - BANETTE & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSKULL & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSCLOPS & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SPIRITOMB & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSKNOIR & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & WOOPER - WOOPER & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SMEARGLE & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TORKOAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SLOWPOKE & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SLOWBRO & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TURTWIG & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GROTLE & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TORTERRA & LAPRAS - LAPRAS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SLOWKING & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TURTWIG & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GROTLE & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - TORTERRA & MUDKIP - MUDKIP & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GASTLY & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - HAUNTER & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - GENGAR & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SHUPPET & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - BANETTE & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSKULL & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSCLOPS & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - SPIRITOMB & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - DUSKNOIR & SHELLOS - SHELLOS & SPHEAL - SPHEAL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - BIDOOF & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- - BIBAREL & EEVEE - EEVEE ---------- Total Chains: 64
Note: My current list does not take into consideration Platinum Move Tutor.

Yeah you are correct on your information. We have done research into this already and currently are figuring out the encryption. However it seems very difficult without the ability to debug the game as it is running. Good luck on your research though On and regarding making an external tool. If you use that website too much from a specific IP, especially a static one associated with a website server, I would take the assumption that they may figure it out

Legality Checker never checks the OTNames. PokeMod will have a database of almost every event Pokemon, and will check EVERYTHING.
-
Since that would require a database, no. Will have to wait for PokeMod.
-
I doubt it will fix it.
