    That’s what you went wrong. Follow through properly, instead of saying “I did everything and it doesn’t work”, cause clearly you didn’t i wont recommenced yt vids, cause vids get outdated soon and this guide has always been updated.     You need to back up every dump during the hacking process. A sd back up would only work if you don’t play the games. It’s not a proper save backup. You need to install CFW. also don’t multi post. Also why did it “not work”? Please elaborate.

    Custom firmware. Your 3DS needs to be hacked, in order to back up save files. I’m not sure if this is the one, but try following this: https://3ds.hacks.guide

    Given that you said “you followed tutorials” I have no idea what stage you’re at. For all I know you got saves to your computer, just don’t know how to get em into Citra. For starters, you got CFW on your 3DS?

    1. Ignoring the “works with PKHeX” part for now, “do you have any save files” is like asking you if you have any save files on your computer. To make it even more basic, you know how “save” in the in-game menu saves your progress? Then you can restart the device and your progress is still that? That is referred to as a “save”. So, I’m asking you whether you have any backed up save file to your computer, regardless if it’s from cart or emulator. 2. In regards to “works with PKHeX”, when you drag said file into PKHeX, does PKHeX load and show you the contents of the save?

    For the record, to tag a user, it’s not just copying the hyperlink for the person. It’s to put “@“ and type the name behind it. Now, I’ll probably be able to give you the rough addresses for where IV is, in comparison to the species, later. Watch this space. Edit: According to my records, it is - 0x0B from the location of the species. Do a few tests, you should find it. When in doubt, load the edited file in my program and check if the changes are there.

    To be clear, at which stage does your 2DS crash? At booting up the game with the new save, or at using the save manager to restore the save?

    The word is "save", not "safe". Also, have you acquired a save that works with PKHeX? Once you do, follow this tutorial.

    It appears PKHeX doesn't handle the level 56 version. @Kaphotics

    Drag in a wonder card then.

    Probably harder to prove a negative. You can start with whether you think one or two memories are associated with ribbons, then check all imported ribbon mons on hand to prove or disprove that hypothesis.

    Use our Save Block tutorial, which give steps to general block importing. Make sure you import the correct file into the correct block.

    There’s an option to dump boxes as folder. They’ll be all pk7. Check the options along the top bar of PKHeX

    If it's on a Generation 8 save, it is a known problem.
