  1. Without going into the issue of how legit and legal are not one and the same, what I can tell you is this: Since they're generated by the game, they are legal.
  2. Get the .sav file from your SD card. load the .sav file into PKHeX.
  3. Specifically: Give that a try :3
  4. it is indeed 1 byte too small. (I saw it when trying to paste over the box mons.) How did you transfer the save from your 3DS to your PC?
  5. is this before you gotten the starter, or before you interacted with a PC?
  6. If your goal is you make a sysbot via RAM editing to inject the mons for trade, that likely won't work. I've heard RAM editing is iffy with LGPE because the RAM addresses keep changing.. Hence why sysbots are using SWSH.. First off, your blank save is a SWSH save. If your purposes is for LGPE editing, this mon would not be able to be back converted. Next, use your mouse and click on the Latest (not OT) Handler area, so that the green box shifts down. (My arrow illustrates how the green box should be below). Lastly, the reason why you get this legality error is because: The "current handler" (green box) for this mon is supposedly the OT, and based on information in another tab, it is a Caterpie caught in LGP. But this Caterpie is in a SWSH save. So logically, the LGP OT cannot be current handler.
  7. done.
  8. As mentioned prior, the copy you originally uploaded is empty. So the copy you tried to import probably isn't empty..
  9. no prob :3 edit: For the record, Arceus doesn't exist in SWSH at all (presently), so it still won't show the correct sprite and model. You could check online to see which mons are in SWSH :3
  10. You're on the base game, not on v1.3.0. Most of the species you've mentioned don't exist prior to v1.3.0, hence explaining the Pokeball sprite and Pikachu model you've experienced. edit: While not the issue at hand here, your Zygarde are both illegal. Consider getting one generated using the encounter database in PKHeX.
  11. @Need_A_Contest you mind uploading your save here?
  12. The memory is indeed possible with "Dynamaxed Urshifu" (I just got it myself) Check your Zacian in the latest stable build.
  13. As of now I'm unsure whether your GB/GBC dumping is working as intended, or if it's your Yellow save. Consider making a few dump, with each dump you jiggling the cart a slight bit, or cleaning the contacts again. Maybe try finding a configuration that can get the cart to launch the game. I can't really give any other advice besides that...
  14. This file does not appear to be a save file. That would be the reason why VBA and PKHeX fails to recognize it as a save: it is just a collection of random garbled data, which is probably not from a save. Have you tried playing your cart on a Gameboy to check if the save loads? edit: It seems like you tried but it won't even boot aye. Try dumping the saves of other real GB carts. If yellow is the only one that can't be dumped properly, then the save probably is dead
  15. If the OP decides to update the thread, contact a mod/admin, and we'll unlock this thread.
  16. I mean, he did literally say (context: Gen 3 -> Gen 4) and I don't think there is other ways to interpret something so plainly stated? Anyhow, while I'm pretty sure we don't mind answering questions, it can be tad overwhelming to be asked again and again about core mechanics that is either plainly stated, documented on the net (bulbapedia is your friend, or even just google it), or something you could test for yourself. Anyhow, locking this thread.
  17. consider uploading the save here, and we can take a look.
  18. And if PKHeX supports your save, it is only because it's structure is close enough to the vanilla game. Anyhow, looking at your save, you only saved once in-game. Consider saving twice first. Do that, and your save shall open. Just remember that ROM hacks aren't supported and everything will probably be illegal.
  19. The comments section of a file shouldn't be for asking this kind of questions. Start your own forum thread. I'm answering you here, but I'm not expecting any more comments here unless it's directly strictly related to the details of the event. curiously, bulbapedia doesn't have it too. I wonder if they just didn't create a new entry for it, since it was the exact same wonder card. (and it looks like they didn't add the information for the other distributions in) Erm, yup, that applies to entries from Gen 3 to Gen 5. In terms of data, the concept of "regions" didn't exist until Gen 6. There's no "region locking". At most there's only "language locking". Yup, the 3DS data is retained when transferred up to Gen 7. Gen 8 wipes them away. Indeed, that is correct. [Tho I would like to point out, I felt like I was as clear as I could be ;P] Yes, we don't list out, this event is also on the Japanese page of Gen 5 wonder cards. (https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/file/1308-vgc-worlds-2012-flying-pikachu/) I'm guessing your intent on asking goes back to the whole Shiny Genesect thing. It's rather simple if you think about it: if you don't find it at the respective language page, it's not receivable by that language. Alternatively, check that event on Bulbapedia. That's a core mechanic question. While the answer is yes, it's something you should have observed from playing the games and transferring mons. Also, stop calling it "Gen 5 US Cartridge". Region does not matter for NDS games. Call it by its language. US is not a language. Bank redemptions - Depend on your 3DS Pokemon Link - same as above QR codes - Generated in game, so same as above. I can't recall for sure but sounds correct. To repeat, comments section aren't for game mechanic questions. Start your own thread and ask there.
  20. We received a user report claiming that darklink was bullying others, and it was about how darklink banned a user off their own Discord. (just my 2 cents, but darklink's reasons sound justified to me). In any case, how darklink decides to manage their own Discord is unrelated to us. Reporting to us is pretty much pointless. I hope I only have to say this once. Any further reports of this subject is just misusing the report button, and can land you in hot water, so please don't do that. Locking this thread, darklink contact an admin if you got more to add.
  21. If it was obtained legally, then yes. Off the top of my head, I think Gen 1 wild grass/cave/surfing encounters will never give shiny DVs via how the RNG works. Only gifts, trades, static and fishing will be able to. From Gen 2 to Gen 1, yes. It just won't appear shiny in Gen 1, but you trade it back to Gen 2, and boom, it's shiny again. Gen 2 uses DVs to determine whether a mon is shiny, and there is no legit way in-game to manipulate DVs of Pokemon you own.
  22. Not to worry. The more stuff I type, the more stuff there is to correct :3
  23. Fixed. Thanks for your contribution.
  24. 384 downloads

The unused PWTs were extracted from B2W2. Backstory from Kaphotics: Original discussion: https://projectpokemon.org/home/forums/topic/23084-pwt-download-tournaments/?do=findComment&comment=149695
  25. If you read the description from Sabresite above, he explains 1) how vblank affects Methods (in general) 2) how limited vblanks are normal in retail hardware 3) how emulators may throw extra vblanks than normal. And to confirm your question, yes, *if* your emulator throws extra vblanks than normal, it'll cause the Method of your mon to change. (which is a combination of point 3 and point 1).
