    There were 7 Apricorns that Kurt could use to make into the 7 Pokeballs you see in the pictures. Since those Pokeballs will be present in HGSS but were not present in DPP, Derrick was wondering if Pokemon caught with these new (new for this generation, anyway) Pokeballs will be able to be traded to DPP. It's a mystery right now.

    I'm hoping someone will actually release ACTUAL scans when the magazine goes on sale so I can actually read more of the article. Cell phone snaps are kind of irritating. 1 - Receiving the Mysterious Egg from Mr. Pokemon 2 - (top) Receiving the Pokedex from Prof. Oak. (bottom) Bug Catching Contest 3 - Entrance to the new Safari Zone, accessed by Cianwood City. 4 - Rayquaza 5 - Left picture is a wi-fi battle (at WCS?) vs. Dialga and Palkia... not sure why they are allowed at WCS. Right picture is battling Rayquaza at level 50. 6 - Magnet train and SS Anne dockhouse. Johto Region's Battle Frontier (the text in that picture is REALLY hard to read). The entrance looks like it is in the same place as Crystal's Battle Tower, which is on route 40. 7 and 8 - Apricorns and their Pokeballs. These pictures are also pretty tough to read, but it looks like the apricorns are kept in a key item case, so this would eliminate the problems with compatibility with DPP since a Pokemon can't hold them. Not sure what'll happen with the new Pokeballs, though. Also, it doesn't mention anything about the other, non-Pokeball related apricorns as far as I can tell. Pokeballs pictured are: Friend Ball, Heavy Ball, LoveLove Ball, Speed Ball, Level Ball, Moon Ball, and Lure Ball.

    Once the course (map) is obtained, you can go there as much as you want. It will be fully unlocked on the PokeWalker.

    Okay, I did it. I beat the Master rank and got my 5th Trainer Card Star. It turns out that there was some missing information I wasn't getting. I had to refer to an official player's guide to get it. In addition to the main contest stat, there are two OTHER contest stats that have a minor effect in the first section of the contest. For example, for the Cute contest, Cute is the main stat, but Beauty and Smart have a minor boosting effect as well (I think it's those two). So, using this information, translating the theme, and using a theme/accessory guide, I was finally able to change my 4th place losing streak into a 1st place win! Anyways, my Flareon has a crap-ton of ribbons now.

    It was in that video someone posted a little way back. It was supposedly from leaked scans of corocoro, but who knows. It had to do with the RSE Legendary Pokemon event.

    Holy crap, I completely forgot about that... *goes to watch videos on youtube.... What the heck?! Why on earth didn't they bring all that over to the GC and Wii ??? Nintendo really needs to bring back the Stadium development team...

    Highly doubtful. It's most likely going to be like the Eigakan Arceus, but given away at Toys R Us when the DVD goes on sale.

    Yeah, we don't know this yet. This is how it was in DPP, but it wasn't like that in previous games. It hasn't been determined how HGSS will "count" your Pokedex progress. On another note... UPDATE I've updated the first post to include the newest confirmed info from Pokemon Sunday this week. Let me know if you think I've forgotten anything.

    I keep getting more and more excited for this game. But, I really hope they don't leave out a lot of the new features that they implemented in Platinum. For example, it looks like you can battle Brendan, but... if it's only once, how lame would that be? Hopefully they'll include something like Platinum's Battleground where you can re-battle the Gym leaders (16 to encounter!) and other NPCs (Kimono girls, perhaps? Red?) Also, the neat graphical touches like the slightly varied background and menu colorations based on where you are, and WHO you are battling (like the Elite Four looked great). And I'm not particularly interested in the contests being in Johto... They left them out of Kanto in FRLG, so... why do we need them in Johto? Oh well, I guess it's good for the people who like them.

    Yeah, you beat me to it. The station for the magnet train looks like a Shinkansen station, by the way. Also, the train design itself looks almost exactly like the Shinkansen trains.

    I'm voting Marley. Despite the fact that in Diamond it seemed like her Arcanine ONLY ever used Helping Hand, I think she got a little smarter in Platinum. I liked her story the most out of all the characters. Especially after getting Oak's Letter, doing the Shaymin event and then getting closure to her story, it made it like it even more. Her goth-loli style is pretty cool, too (when done right). And she seems to pull it off fine.

    I can't tell if you're intentionally trying to be a troll or not. Instead of moderating this post, I'll just shut your idea down. It will most likely not matter which gender you choose, but which game version you are playing. If you have Heart Gold, the game will undoubtedly suggest "Heart" as one of the default names, regardless of which gender you've chosen.

    What theme are you guys using? I'm using "Site Theme." Before, there were no ads. They've just shown up today.

    While I prefer that we use Google ads rather than more visually offensive ads, I noticed that there have been some ads added recently to the "Site Theme" theme of the forums. And I just want to say that their random placement is pretty annoying. Sometimes they are under the thing that tells you what your thread and forum are, sometimes they're on the right, sometimes they even appear as if they are a thread title, listed just above the stickies. But it's even more annoying when they appear inbetween posts, or under the forum header. I have a widescreen display, so it's not very tall vertically. With all the gigantic sigs in this forum, and now with the new random ads thrown in, it's becoming more and more difficult to read anything on this forum. Isn't it possible to just keep the ads on the right side or something like that?
